I had the opportunity to give Suvarna another shot and my second experience with Suvarna Chiropractic for a prenatal massage was terrific and I already booked my next massage! I had the pleasure of being Kara's client this time and she was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. She checked in with me a few times throughout the massage which I really appreciated. I'm already looking forward to my next massage with her. Highly recommend this clean facility with very affordable prices in a very convenient location close to the Brown line! Suvarna will be my new go-to for massages (prenatal and regular)! read more

I've been getting both Chiropractic and Massage work at Suvarna for almost a year now, and have been very pleased. Anna is very attentive, and tries out new techniques whenever I have a specific area I'm having back pain, and want to try something new. (I highly recommend cupping!) They also have a nice atmosphere with a comfortable waiting area, which is much more relaxing than some chiropractic offices I've been to, which is a nice touch. read more

Anna is the best massage therapist. She is in tune with her clients. She is an expert in sports massage. Her techniques are top notch. Her personality is warm and friendly and puts you at ease. Anna is sincere and passionate about her work!! read more

I've been going to Suvarna for over a year and I highly recommend it. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The chiropractors have been fantastic and the massage therapists (I see Gosia) is exceptional. In my recent visit I noticed all the precautionary methods being taken to maintain a clean and healthy environment for their customers and employees, this was a concern of mine coming in and I feel much more at ease to continue on with my sessions moving forward. So happy to be back! read more

I moved to Chicago almost two years ago and was looking for a massage therapist. I found Suvarna and Anna almost right away and am so happy I did. After my first massage with Anna I bought one of their massage "packages" which is an awesome deal if you like getting regular massages. I would actually call what Anna does Body Work because it is so much more than just a massage. She does deep tissue, cupping and gives fantastic advice. I highly recommend Anna to anyone! I am 61 and golf regularly. Having Anna to help me stay healthy and moving pain free is invaluable! read more

Had a massage scheduled for today and no one showed up. First I received an email asking me to change time which I did. I show up and I'm standing outside waiting. So rude and unprofessional. read more

I have always had back issues, so when I saw the Daily Deal for this place, I thought it would be a great idea to grab one. I recieved a 60 minute massage and it was great. Nice soothing music and nice soothing hands working out the kinks in my back and neck. The girl that worked on me was very pleasant and informative. I can tell she knows her craft. Very good staff here and they seem to really take care of their clients I would definitely do this place again read more

I was in heaven! I got two YouSwoop deals for 1-hour massages at Suvarna and boy am I glad I did. The first time I went I got a great massage, but the second time I went I got the best massage ever. I highly recommend asking for Evet (not sure on spelling), she was amazing. Not only can you choose what type of massage you want, but you can also choose your type of scented lotion and music. I highly recommend Suvarna for your next massage. read more

I have been going to Suvarna Chiropractic for quite some time and have nothing but great things to say! It has been great for both chiropractic and massage. I have seen multiple doctors and multiple massage therapists over the past few years and all have been excellent! My experience with billing has been easy as well. No surprises. Just an overall great place. read more

I have been coming to see Anna for the last two years because her treatments are so effective! I'm a recreational athlete that does a lot of weight training that can create a lot of muscle stiffness & tightness. Anna has helped me stay on my A game with her treatments. I would recommend her to everybody! read more

I have been coming here for years now. They've helped me a lot in a variety of things from weight loss, to chiro, to acupuncture. Every time I go there, I end up leaving energized and happy. Stephanie, the owner, is a fantastic chiropractor. She's caring and she'll listen to you attentively. She'll work with you on what options are better for your condition and will be open and transparent. She's been administering my acupuncture as well to treat diagnosed C4/C5 osteoarthritis (i.e. bad neck pain) and have been feeling great without any surgery. As a supplementary service to my chiro adjustments and acupuncture, I also take massages. Kara is AMAZING. She's been my masseuse for quite some time now. Book one with her, you will not regret it! Finally, Laura and Rosa, at the front desk, are also great. They are courteous and attentive. All in all, this is always a great experience. Go. NOW! read more

I've been going here for about 3 months or so and I can honestly say that my back feels a huge difference after seeing Dr. S. I have scoliosis in my lower back and adjustments, yoga, and massages have really helped with the irritated and sore muscles. The best part, is I fee like the staff really cares about my health and well-being. It's a safe healing space that I'm so glad to have found read more

I began seeing Dr. Suvarna and her team right after I had herniated my l4-l5 disc in my lower back in 2017. After my surgery, their dedication and bedside manner were crucial in my complementary care and recovery. I now mainly go for acupuncture and massage therapy as preventative care to keep my body healthy and happy. I have found that after each visit I leave with a smile on my face - not something you can say about many healthcare experiences! read more

Excellent staff. very attentive to patient needs. Have been a customer for 3+ years. Anna's approach to my chronic neck and back issues has been very effective and helpful. read more

I have been going to Suvarna off and on for what I think is almost 6 years now... 2 years, then a 2 year break from chiro services (was doing much better, thanks to the Suvarna team!).. and then back with them another 2 years now. Whether you've had an sports injury, car accident, lifelong pain/trauma, neck/back issues, scoliosis,... you name it... they're the BEST! Dr Bruner is top notch. He knows his craft, and is, in my opinion, just as if not more knowledge than many orthopedics with respect to the bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles, etc in the human body. He is extremely professional, and helps you really understand your chiropractic need(s), and how to really enhance and improve everyday life --in all ways of life -- no matter your age, athleticism, overall health... Their massage team has some of the best massage therapists I've had in my life --and I've had a lot of massages in my day! No kidding, better than the massage/spa treatment at the Peninsula Hotel I received over the holidays... Suvarna is also well versed (and in my experienced/seasoned opinion, the best) at techniques such as cupping and acupuncture --both of which have proved beneficial to my wellbeing and health, inside and out. Thank you to my dear friend, Michael, who years ago recommended Suvarna to me... and I would hands down, without hesitation, emphatically recommend/refer anyone seeking chiropractic services to the team at Suvarna. 6/5 stars! read more

I started seeing Anna over a year ago when I was having unbearable neck and back pain. She is SO incredibly knowledgable and truly massaged me back to health. I have taken a complete 180 and she has helped me really understand by body and how to be in tune to stressors to really prevent future chronic pain. I cannot recommend her enough she is literally life changing!! read more

If you are requiring any chiropractic adjustments or experiencing any kind of pain, I highly recommend seeing Dr. Ries at Suvarna. The Dr. and the staff at Suvarna are top-notch. They are always very friendly and professional. Historically, I was always skeptical about seeing a chiropractor out of fear, but after experiencing a nagging ankle injury for years, I decided to give it a try. During my visit, Dr. Ries educated me, made me feel at ease, and adjusted my ankle so it could function, as it should. I was also fitted for custom insoles to wear in my shoes to ensure I am more balanced. Dr. Ries is straight up a miracle worker! When I left, my ankle was feeling ten times better and over the next few weeks I didn't notice any more discomfort. Months later I was experiencing a high level of pain in my left shoulder blade. Same thing. Dr. Ries made some adjustments and I left the place feeling amazing. I now see Dr. Ries every two weeks for adjustments on my back and neck. I work in an office crouched at my desk, work out at the gym, and play sports on occasion, so the adjustments are much needed after the constant toll on my body. read more

I went to Survarna after purchasing an online coupon and taking a chance... BEST MASSAGE EVER! I kid you not, I have had many massages in my life and was blown away by Yvette! She was fantastic. She listened to my needs with open ears and knew what she was doing! The front desk staff was pleasant and courteous. No pretentiousness at all, just warm and welcoming. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic massage in a fantastic environment. I'll be going back soon! read more

I got a living social deal and used it the other day. It was definitely difficult to get an appointment but that's to be expected since I could only go in the evenings or on weekends. Also i'm sure Living Social deals take a back seat to regular clients. I will say that first impression wasn't incredible because the girl at the desk was kind of weird. I'm not sure if she was being rude, or if she was just a little awkward, either way I didn't like it. Now having said that, the point of tall of this is to tell you that Valerie gave me the best massage I've ever had. She wasn't weird about talking and asking questions and all that... just started going to work. I highly recommend going here if you can get a good deal and can bypass talking to the weird front desk lady. The music wasn't loud enough in the room though. read more

I had bought 1-hour massages for my husband and myself. It is a little difficult to get appts, but I actually think that's good sign. I was so excited, and when we got there, there was pounding construction going on the entire time. I half expected them to ask if we wanted to reschedule. Suvarna couldn't do anything about the construction outside, but was the absolute worst massage experience! :-( The location and staff were great...but there was no way to relax with the jack hammers outside. Major bummer -- super cute place, but beware of thin walls I guess :-/ read more

Got a massage here through a groupon deal. Parking can be a hassle so be prepared to drive around for a little. The lady was very nice and did a good job, although she didn't spend enough time in certain areas. But for what I paid it was a good massage - I'd go back again! read more

I just had the best massage OF - MY - LIFE at Suvarna. Massages can kind of be hit or miss with me, so the Amazon Deal I found with Suvarna sounded like a good way to try a new place. I had Yvette and she had a way of finding every little knot in my back and neck, and working it out. WOW. I haven't felt that relaxed in a long time. Next time I have a stressful week, I'm definitely coming back here! read more

I started coming to here close to the beginning of the year with back pain, due to standing constantly at work, and they have just been great. Each adjustment is very helpful to my condition, I was skeptical at first because I had never been to a chiropractor before. The atmosphere is inviting and calm, and I appreciate everyone there. I recommend this to anybody who needs adjustments of any kind. :) read more

I'm here once a month for adjustments and massages. The chiropractors at Suvarna are really friendly and professional and more importantly, know about chiropractor stuff. Thankfully, I don't have too many issues so my visits are easy and painless. When I do have any pain, tension or popping (my hip pops) Amanda is really helpful in addressing the issue. I noticed that other people mentioned that billing was an issue and I have to agree. They don't lay out the payments/insurance billing clearly but are flexible and work with clients/patients on payment plans. The massages are great and are one of the reasons I continue coming back. Kristina is my favorite but Val is great too. There was another woman who talked the entire time but I forgot her name. The environment is nice and clean and conveniently located near the Southport Brown Line. An overall positive experience. read more

Dr. Ries is a lifesaver and I cannot say enough great things about him! I had a severe bulged disc in my lower back and he worked with me to get me back up and running. He is very personal and it was always a joy to see him. Also, there masseuse is phenomenal! I recently moved out of Chicago and Suvarna Chiropractic will be missed! read more

I feel "meh" about Suvarna. I have waited a while to write this, I think my last visit was a couple months ago when I finally gave up. I think their massages are great (although I think the woman who massaged me is no longer there). I mostly am indifferent to the chiropractic practices. I think Stephanie is super nice and so is everyone who works there. Both series of times I have gone to Suvarna have been for specific injuries (one shoulder and one SI/low back). So, perhaps my injuries were not curable with Chiro. help. I always had to continue down the path of Physical Therapy after seeing no results at Suvarna. Getting my back cracked felt great but never felt like it really "did" anything for my back or shoulder injuries. Same with the acupuncture, cupping, and the muscle stimulation machine. I always feel like they were guessing on what might help, never really knowing where my injuries came from or how to fix them. I have seen every chiropractor at Suvarna, including Dr. Ries who is no longer there. I hate that they asked me every time I went in what I was there for that day- I had the same injury for months so I felt like they should not need to keep asking me what to focus on for the day. I also felt like billing was always a mystery - some days were more than others and some days I owed money from previous visits. I think I even still have some kind of credit left after a billing mistake. I continued to go to Suvarna and give them the benefit of the doubt. I really wanted it all to work. But I just never felt any better leaving. I would go back specifically for the massages and just to get realigned if I felt like I needed it, but I would avoid going with an injury. read more

About a month prior to my visit to Suvarna, I had slept in an odd position and woke up not being able to move my head from side to side. At first I tried to be a trooper and ignore the pain, but working for Chicago Public schools you have to be able to keep up with the kids. The pain steadily increased, so I caved and went to Suvarna. There I received acupuncture treatment. I am sure results vary from patient to patient, but I walked in with very limited range of motion in my neck and walked out being able to turn my head from side to side after only the first visit. The staff was very courteous and the atmosphere very professional. I will be a repeat client for sure. -hector ivan garcia read more

Dr. Suvarna and Dr. B are da diggity! They are so caring and understanding of my bulging disc. Ive popped it about 2 years ago at work and ive never been able to heal it. I actually found this place on Yelp and loved it the moment I walked in. Its been a couple of weeks already sincey first visit and I know under the care of them I'll be able to have a healthy spine soon!! read more

People are nice, but billing is a little frustrating. Billing/Payments explained to me were a little different than what came in the mail. Not talking a big difference, but seeing random charges that weren't explained up front is never fun. I just wish the insurance payments/etc would have been explained clearer up front. The massage therapists were great though (Val), and I would recommend this place for massage to anyone (but I would pay out of pocket and avoid insurance). read more

Called on a Saturday and they got me in the same day! Very nice staff. Dr. Ries really works with you to give you exactly what you need and not push for additional treatment or services. He gave me stretches to do in the mornings, and I now have much less pain in my shoulders. His adjustment was great. Did a lot of calling around before I went, and their prices are very competitive. Everything was on point! GO HERE! read more

I got a groupon for a 60 minute massage and I am so happy I did! Scheduling was easy over the phone even though I had to wait a few weeks for a Saturday appt. The place was nicely decorated and very clean. Valerie gave me a fantastic massage, hitting all of the spots that needed work with the perfect amount of pressure. I will definitely be back! read more

The whole crew at Suvarna is great. Prompt and easy scheduling. Helpful and polite front desk staff. Everyone is great, they always made me feel so welcome. Dr. Ries is a total pro. He's personable, helpful, and knows his stuff. I always felt safe and comfortable working with him. A car crash in my early twenties left me with a damaged wrist and lingering pain and weakness. Dr. Ries changed that in ONE session. No joke. He showed me how I can take the pressure off the nerve that was being pinched. Game changer. I also loved the massages offered at Suvarna. All of the masseuses are great, but I LOVE Luz. She could often tell what areas needed attention before I could even tell. I always felt like a new person after I saw her. She's so sweet, knowledgable, and a great listener. read more

My son has started seeing Dr. Suvarna for acupuncture for migraines and I could not be more pleased! She is very responsive to his issues and adjusts her treatment based on his needs. He came in today with a cold and a lot of congestion so she added some points to his sinuses. Scheduling and billing has also been very smooth. They send an email with his appointment and a follow up reminder email. And everyone is so incredibly nice!! read more

I've been coming here for some time for massages (they are some of the best I've had), but I recently started to see Dr. Ries since I started having consistent pain with my back. Dr. Ries is great. He has great bedside manner and is extremely knowledgeable. He quickly identified the areas in my back and elbow which were causing my pain. He consulted with the massage therapist, Aline (who is awesome) about the areas to work on and I received one of the best and most helpful massages ever. The administrative staff, Jeri and Laura, are very friendly and welcoming as well. Overall I highly recommend this practice! read more

I have been going to Suvarna on Southport for nearly 3 years now and am always extremely happy with their service and compassion for all their patients. I would recommend to anyone. Whether I have an injury or stress tension in my back they are able to adjust their level of care to meet all of my needs. I have seen all of their massage therapists and they are all great. They also do electric stim, acupuncture and cupping which have all been beneficial. I leave feeling better then I came in every time I go. read more

I love this place! I pulled my back last fall and needed some help. I'd never been to a chiropractor before and didn't know what to expect. The staff at Suvarna were amazing! They helped me through the whole process and made me feel at home. Best of all they fixed my back! Not to mention the massages are great too! Like I said the staff are great and remember everything about me. They treat me like family. I love it! I can't imagine ever going anywhere else! Thank you Suvarna, you rock! read more

I've been meaning to write a review for ages! This office and its staff has been the answer to my back problems. I have a small fissure in my lumbar spine and muscles that tend to lock up / guard, which I have to actively manage. I have seen nearly a dozen doctors in Chicago over the last 8-9 years and this is the best my back has been. This practice is unlike other chiropractic offices where I felt like the "treatment plan" was: crack and repeat. Dr. Ries is amazing and tailors the treatment to your needs and comfort level. I don't enjoy neck adjustments, so he offered other approaches. The messages are the best - they combine a spa-like feel and relaxation with skilled, targeted massage. I also tried acupuncture for the first time here and found it to be helpful. read more
