Not only is Dr. Chris Evans a quality chiropractor + masseuse, but he has 1 on 1 personal training sessions cheaper than a gym, knowledgeable detox programs, the latest chiropractic technology, as well as everything else you will need to get on the up + up. I've been going to At Ease for over 4 years now + I always feel great after each session. Dr Chris Evans really gets to know everyone who walks in his door + is incredibly knowledgeable of the variety of wellness services he offers. Saying this is his life's passion is an understatement! You get a free posture exam + there are always discount specials - on top of their already LOW prices! Getting an appointment is not a problem as they are very accommodating to your schedule. Dr Chris seems to me, to be a man who's really dedicated to healing, sharing information, and ensuring the comfort and health of his patients....not just making a buck. He is willing to work with patients on everything from treatment preferences, to insurance issues, to dealing with tight budgets. I was trying out a few chiropractors in my new neighborhood of Uptown, and trying to find both a doctor I liked, and an office that could process my insurance. I'm a girl on a strict "divorce lawyers are expensive!" budget, but chiropractic care keeps me happy and relatively healthy. I saw Dr Chris not long after they located to their new location. The office was empty of all other staff, as it was a paperwork catch up day, but he expressed that he was more than willing to see me as soon as I called and said "I'm in pain". We spoke at great length about my lifestyle, what I like and dislike about chiropractic care, how what he provides fits into what I'm looking for. It was very in-depth, and informative. The only drawback was that they were temporarily out of network for my then-current insurance. And being mid-divorce (hence the pain, hah!), I really needed an in-network office for affordability. His office uses both manual adjustments as well as the ProAdjuster. There are massage chairs available if you are running early for an appointment. The office is conveniently located, quiet and comfortable, and there seems to be adequate parking in the lot (says she who doesn't drive). Dr Chris was more than willing to find a way to work with me to try and get my visits 100% covered, making it clear his emphasis was on helping me the patient, not just lining his pockets. Of course, as luck would have it, my insurance is now canceled, so I'm stuck in a gap, and hoping that his office will be covered under my new insurance in a couple months. But I look forward to being able to schedule future visits, with my fingers crossed that massage therapy is covered under the new plan. Who doesn't love a massage? read more

I have been coming here for a year for my upper back pain. I recently moved and will still travel a bit to come here. I have had numerous massage therapy sessions by many different staff and all are professional and have offered so much to help my pain. In the year and a half since I started attending, this place has gone through four chiropractors. The second one, Dr. Matt, was actually incredible, but he left without notice in December. I stayed on because I really liked my massage therapist, Lee--but he left too. The only people who seem willing to stay on are the massage therapists I've tried to avoid. Never before have I been argued with while I'm on the massage table, or called a "wicked woman" (really!) because I have short hair (R E A L L Y). The thing is, these folks are really good at their jobs--they addressed my physical problems, of which I have many. That's why I stuck with them for so long. But it's just not worth feeling so emotionally wrung out by a service that purports to address your pain. read more

Over the weekend... I slammed my knee pretty badly; had several swelled up contusions, certainly B&B all over. And it hurt like hell! Came in here, limping and was hooked up with Dr Will. He listened very carefully, checked my range of motion and did an amazing treatment of massage as well as acupuncture (which I've never had before). Acupuncture is something quite new to me (I'm aware of it, too chicken to try it) and I do have to say, I'll try it again. Turns out that Will spent some time in Nepal and learned acupuncture there. Not only is my knee pain GREATLY reduced, so is the swelling and the bruising has faded to about 1/2 of what it was. Was able to get up a set of stairs with a whole lot less problems than that morning. Place is nice looking, quite tranquil and the staff is very accommodating. I'll be back. read more

I have know Dr. Evans and his staff for a while now. I always get my massage from Tiffany and she is awesome.

Weird experience. I have pain in my lower back and the chiropractor told me it was due to my calves. He sent me to a room with a massage therapist but didn't communicate his predictions. The massage therapist was sitting the bulk of the massage and it seemed like he was incapable of addressing my needs because he had his own. None of this felt right. I've had massages before and I felt so uncomfortable throughout the whole massage. The chiropractor asked how I felt after and I felt the same. He did some adjustments and handed a new girl a massager and instructed her to rely on me telling her where to point it. Frankly at this point I was so confused by my own body due to the changing opinion and uncertainty of the chiropractor. He then gave me a foam roller and tried to schedule a follow up for two days later. There was so much uncertainty and changing opinion that I won't be back. I picked up a bag this morning and pain shot up my back... this wasn't happening before I went to At Ease. I believe the push to get me back in and the free foam roller were an attempt to maintain a client but I just don't have faith in the work being done here. read more

Since she had to go home early since she was sick, they upgraded me to a free one hour massage and are rescheduling for a facial next week. i work at an incredibly physically demanding job where my workweek exceeds 50 hours of standing and hard punishing physical labor. I came to At Ease to relieve a number of chronic and painful issues. At times my muscle groups would tighten and lock up from overuse, specifically arms back hands and shoulders. It compromised not only my ability to work, and thus my livelihood, but my personal health wellbeing and everyday ability to function and sleep. The staff at At Ease are all great - professional, deeply caring and dedicated to healing. They have a wide range of therapists to fit all needs. With my extreme needs I was lucky to find Dave. Dave is diligent, thoughtful, hardworking, and extremely engaged in his patients needs and aggressive in his treatments. He always tries new ideas and techniques, innovates and thinks outside of the box to elieviate issues and achieve serious and startling results. I didn't need New Age music and a water feature - I needed serious and immediate results for real issues. Dave has the hands of a bear! Dave always comes through and I have come to depend on his work to get my issues managed. Dave has improved impaired movement - at times my muscle groups will lock from overuse and I cannot raise an arm, open a fist, use a shoulder. He has repaired injured swollen tissue, increased range of motion and overall improved stability, muscle and core control. I had been a patient of at ease wellness center for some time. I suffer back and neck pain from a rear end collision and had been treating with them for a few months. I have since changed caregivers and am seeing another chiropractor. My issue is securing appointments for treatment which had always been a problem. The service is good when you can get time with them and receive treatment. I would not recommend them if you are seeking long term care for chronic injuries as they are unreliable. Charlie read more

Called in last week to inquire about their services and received very friendly service over the phone. I was told when I was ready to make an appointment I could text. I text the number and made an appointment for today, Wednesday 01/25 at 9am. I was instructed to come in at 8:45 because I needed to fill out paper work. I arrived, as instructed and found the lights off and a closed sign at the door. Someone finally arrived about 10 minutes later. When I walked in the receptionist and a man with her seemed surprised to see me. I said I had an appointment at 9 and showed her my text message. Whelp turns out they hadn't ever actually scheduled me. She found the text which I had in fact sent to the correct number, but couldn't seem to accommodate me despite THEIR error. I wasted my time getting here extra early trying to squeeze in a session BEFORE work to be turned away. This is unacceptable! I am a full time employee and student and my time is valuable. I have wasted hours that I had set aside for this appointment. The place isn't cheap either. If i had been seen I was quoted $60 a session with my insurance. I will not be back again to waste my time. Go somewhere else and save yourself a headache. read more

I took advantage of the yelp deal and went and got a massage. I've been to a ton of massage therapists and chiropractors. Typically they don't tell you what's tight and why it's tight. The chiropractor was able to let me know what muscles were pulling on each other and how to treat them. For that I give 5 stars. The facility is nice and staff is also friendly. read more

I have been a chronic pain patient for almost two years. I came here a month and a half ago, and after three massages from Dave, I stopped taking my pain medications. He is the best massage therapist I have ever encountered. After each visit, I experience another step down in pain, an increase in energy, and continue to regain my appetite. Before coming to At ease I was told that I would need surgery because my knees were so bad. I had chronic swelling and limited movement in my right knee from my years as a rugby player. I was always in pain. After three sessions with Dave (seriously three sessions) he had drastically improved the mobility in my knee, the swelling dissipated, and the pain was gone. He was able to break down the scar tissue just by deep (and I mean deep) tissue massage. He saved me boo-coo dollars in medical expenses, helped get me on my feet and relieved my pain.
