Dr. Pontarelli is one of the best chiropractors I've worked with in recent years. Very professional and felt so much better only after 2 sessions. I would recommend coming here if you're looking for a chiropractor. read more

I've now attended two sessions with Dr. Michael. I'm closing in on the final days of my pregnancy, and have found both sessions to do wonders on my sore muscles. I'm so glad Windy City Wellness was recommenced to me by another new mama. The staff is nice and professional, and the space is super calm and welcoming. I definitely intend to make sessions here part of my wellness routine! read more

Best chiropractor in the city- hands down. Dr. Pontarelli is honestly amazing. go here- you won't regret it.

Dr. Pontarelli is one of the best healthcare practioners I've worked with. I came in totally skeptical. I did not trust chiropractors. I was referred by a lady from physical therapy - it was my 4th round for my ever-persistent problem. I figured I will get a 1x evaluation maybe get better massage recommendation or something for my achy body. Well, several months later, I am a total fan. Not only do I get adjustment and needles, he gives me exercises that actually work. He spends his time - and I meant he spent his time - making sure I am learning those exercises right. And he listens to me when I tell him that something is too much for me. That is actually a fairly uncommon quality - someone in healthcare who actually listens to what you are saying. So here is 1 convert, from someone who never thought she would be going to chiropractor. But I guess you can't argue with results and feeling better. read more

Dr. Pontarelli is as good as it gets. He takes his time understanding what is wrong with you and works with you until it's resolved. He has an arsenal of skills, a creative mind and works hard to apply the right technique to the problem at hand. Me and my wife have been very impressed with his treatments and are glad to have him on our wellness team. His office is also bright, pleasant and has a relaxing vibe. Also, Jason, the massage therapist that I've seen a couple times at Dr Pontarelli's office is superb. Very focused, and clearly an expert in massage technique and history. A combo treatment between these two gentlemen is highly effective. read more

Dr. Pontarelli is wonderful! I wish I lived here so I could see him on a regular basis. He is so knowledgable and thorough with his examinations, I also felt extremely calm and at ease in his space. He did some adjustments on me for my neck, shoulder, and arm pain and I immediately felt a release of tension and discomfort in these areas. In addition to addressing my issues, he also showed me several exercises and breathing techniques I can do at home and made a couple of dietary suggestions based on my examination. His approach to healing is practical, holistic in nature, and multi-faceted. Also, he addresses the state of your entire body instead of just isolating problems, which is more than most healthcare providers I have dealt with are willing to do. He is a breath of fresh air. I highly recommend him! read more

A friend of mine had been recommending Dr. Mike Pontarelli to me for weeks. So when I finally got fed up with worrying about what the hell was going on with me knees I booked an appointment with him. First off, the office is really easy to get to. It's right on North Avenue, and there's a parking lot, so parking is a breeze. It's a little bit hard to find, but whatever. The office itself is super clean and really welcoming. Everything is a soothing sage and wood or bamboo. It's really quiet and very serene. The waiting area is well stocked with tons of magazines, so usually I'd just hunker down with the latest edition of Martha and wait my turn. My first visit with him was unlike any other Dr's appointment I've ever had. He GRILLED me on my past medical history. Usually where I'd just breeze over everything "tore this" "had that removed" blah blah, he was like "Wait, you tore your ACL? At 16?! What were you doing?!" and really went into it. He also explained to me how having my gall bladder removed may have some unexpected side effects. I would agree with the previous comments about his methods being very holistic. I used to lovingly refer to him as the witch doctor. And this is why - becaue he blew my friggin mind. So, back to the first appointment, as I'm explaining my past medical history to him, he starts to get a feel for my body. He tests my legs and massages my back and suddenly he asks me if I'v ever been in a car accident of some sort. And that's when I was like "This is wild" because I totaled my car when I was 17. I didn't mention it to him because this was 10 years ago and I didn't have any lasting physical side effects - or so I thought. He could totally tell! Ultimately, Dr Mike recommended some stretches for me and some laser therapy as well as some supplements. I still take the supplements and take care to stretch for longer periods of time. I've since highly recommended him to anyone who has aches or pains or feels a little wonky, or just wants a massage. read more

Chinese traveler arriving in Chicago with killer neck and shoulder pains, I couldn't even sleep and had to look for a chiropractor. Came to Dr. Pontarelli without an appointment and I was lucky somebody canceled so I got in. Will cut to the chase. I felt better right after the session. And the next day I finally got the crack of muscles in my shoudlers. It was like all the knots were all untied! So glad I did this . Now I'm enjoying the last couples of days in the Windy City! read more

Windy City Wellness is so much more than Chiropractic care. I can not say enough good things about Dr. Michael Pontarelli. I have being seeing him on and off for several months for difference ailments. I came to him originally due to sports accident which left me severely injured ( softball bat to the cheek bone). Not only did he help me heal quickly but he also helped to reduce the scaring on my face using laser treatments and acupuncture. The accident also caused me to have whiplash, and Dr. Pontarelli worked to get my body and brain back in full alignment. He was very thorough in his neurological testing on my first visits to make sure I addressed any issues with my vision or brain function before moving forward with further treatment. After having great success with Dr. Pontarelli I reccomended my wife to him. She is a teacher and she has struggled with constantly being sick and having low energy levels. He has used a balanced approach of treatment and nutrition to get her energy levels up and keep her healthy. My wife and I always feel very comfortable at their office and even though I know they have lots of patients, they are alway very accomodating and willing to work around our busy schedules. I can not recommend them enough to anyone looking to improve their health or trying to remedy a health issue. read more

My girlfriend and I purchased a groupon-like discount massage with Rachel Ladd at Windy City Wellness. We were recently in a car accident, and our backs/necks are still a bit sore. Rachel applied just enough pressure to loosen up my back and neck muscles without causing any pain. She also does fitness training, nutritional consulting, and more. We made appointments to return in a few weeks for another great massage! read more

Place is great. Staff is really friendly and eager to help you get better. Doctor Pontarelli actually takes the times to figure out what's going on with you versus just adjusting you and sending you on your way. read more

My acupuncture treatments with Michelle Leno started about two years ago. I wear a below knee prosthesis and developed chronic back pain that was treated in the past with massage therapy. I did some research on the positive results of acupuncture and began seeing Michelle Leno for treatment. Michelle did a complete overview of my history including nutrition and lifestyle. My current treatments consist of a combination of acupuncture and gua sha which relieves my pain and helps me relax. Michelle is a friendly, informative and gentle practitioner. I love her new location at Windy City Wellness on North Avenue read more

Like Midas, Rachel has hands of GOLD!! She can work out all those hard to reach knots and you will leave her massage table feeling like a brand new person. I've been going to her for a couple years now ( to her old place in NJ and now in Chicago). I live out of state but anytime I'm in Chicago, I hope to see her and get a massage :) She has a great, mental attitude about life, health and good energy. Please, do not hesitate to make an appointment and see her, you will not be disappointed. read more

5 million stars! Dr. P, Jason, and Tiffany are all amazing practitioners who have dramatically improved my quality of life. They are brilliant, professional, kind, easy to work with insurance-wise, and are flexible. read more

I've been going to Michael Pontarelli for years for my back, and he is absolutely amazing. Some chiropractors are like a production line, just manipulating you, but Michael is incredibly passionate about his work and tries to treat your whole body and lifestyle. His knowledge of the body is simply amazing. He might be a little more holistic than some people are used to outside of the manipulation work, but even if that isn't your thing, his passion makes him so much better at keeping your body adjusted. I highly recommend him. Rachel is also an incredible massage therapist. While she has a soothing environment, a warm demeanor, and a caring touch, she edges more toward the therapeutic than relaxing massage, finding the kinks you didn't know you had and working them until they relax. She's also as passionate about what she does as Michael, and you can tell this is much more than a job for her. If you're having real back or neck or muscle problems, visiting the two of them together is a priceless experience in pain relief and relaxation. read more

I am SO glad I started coming here. Dr. Mike is incredibly helpful, kind and knowledgeable. I started going to WCW in August of last year to deal with some injuries (some very old which caused new problems) in my leg/hip area. I am happy to say that I have never felt stronger and am mostly pain-free now! Dr. Mike does adjustments, but that is just the tip of the iceberg-- he assesses your problem areas and not only works on them, he gives you precise exercises and information about how to strengthen and work on them yourself (exactly what I needed-- some of the yoga and stretching I was doing was making it worse). It's really empowering to know what exactly is going on with your body and how to make it better. No other doctor I saw has given me the same level of attention and awareness of my options. I highly recommend seeing Dr. Mike if you have any pain or injury problems, even if they are well in the past. read more

I have to echo another reviewer in saying that Dr. Pontarelli truly is as good as it gets! After relocating to Chicago recently from the West Coast, I've had many chiropractors but even only after my first few visits I can tell such a difference from his healing and holistic-based approach to patient care. He spends time with his patients and you can tell he really is focused on healing you and getting you better. His office is very Zen and relaxing, and the staff is amazing! read more

I started going to chiropractor Mike Pontarelli 5 years ago after being hurt in a car accident. I loved his holistic approach (exercise, massage, acupuncture, supplements, exercise) to wellness and he fixed up my back and hip problems within a few weeks. Then, he was working out of Wicker Park's Chi, and I later went to him at Urban Oasis. He finally opened his own wellness center--complete with a acupuncturist and massage therapist. From the outside, the building looks a bit generic/strip-mallish, but inside the suite it's peaceful, quiet, beautiful, with exposed brick, soothing music, and herbal tea. I've done acupuncture and chiropractic here, and am looking forward to a massage at some point soon. Windy City Wellness offers kind, balanced, practitioners and is truly a one-stop-shop for holistic wellness and chiropractic. read more

Dr. Pontarelli is a miracle worker! My fiance and I have both been to see him for a few tight muscles and a stiff neck. I couldn't move my head one day and went to see him on a recommendation from a co-worker. Not only did he cure my neck problems, but he helped provide nutritional information for me that changed my life. I've never felt better....didn't even need a massage! My fiance hurt his shoulder lifting weights and 2 visits with Dr. Pontarelli later, he is a new person! I highly recommend going to see him if not for a sore or tight muscle issue, than for his knowledge of exersice, nutrition and overall general health. read more

Dr. (Mike) Pontarelli is absolutely great. My fiance and I have both gone to him for different reasons and have nothing but positive feedback. I had a shoulder injury and thought it would heal itself. After 3 months of not getting better, I went to Windy City Wellness. After just two visits I was a fast track to recovery. In addition, he realigned my spine/legs/hips and pretty much cured knee pain that two previous doctors were unsuccesful in addressing. Dr. Pontarelli gave me great advice on nutrition (Paleo-like philosophy) and exercise (this was all from just two visits). His office is extemely well-done and relaxing. Mike is professional, has a great attitude, and makes the client feel comfortable. read more

Dr. Pontirelli is a true healer. I send many patients his way. Unlike a practitioner that just "cracks" your neck or back he really incorporates finding out where the problem starts and works with your body and muscles and finds a program that works for you! Marcy Swerdlow read more
