I honestly wish I could give more then 5 stars. From the moment I came in I felt like I had made the right decision to come not only to Aligned, but more importantly the River North location. I live in Lincoln Square and pass about 4 other Aligned Modern Health locations, but it was worth it to work with the River North Staff. Jeanine is the most positive, up beat and helpful person you will ever meet. Insurance and scheduling is never easy, but she made it painless. Dr. DiMaggio was a pleasure to work with. I was able to speak openly and honestly about my issues and I could tell he cared to get to the cause of the problem. I had been to a chiro before and felt like they wanted to keep me as a life long patient, but Dr. DiMaggio truly cared about improving my health. He even suggested I consult the nutritionist, when my health concerns needed a more holistic approach. I looked forward to my sessions with him and Eugene, who was very attentive and ensured I had the tools to improve my health at and beyond Aligned. My back pain was at a 7/8 when I started and by the time I was finished I was at a 0/1. I am able to maintain a pain free life given the tools Eugene and Dr. DiMaggio gave me. I have recommended this team to many friends, and my mother even traveled from the Northwest burbs to be treated here. She has suffered back paid for years, and now this year she can garden without having days of bed rest to follow. If I had to make one suggestion, I would employ corporate to get new chairs for the waiting area, they are very uncomfortable and do not promote good posture. Thank you Dr. DiMaggio, Eugene and Jeanine for improving our quality of life. read more

In line with other reviews. Doctor Caitlyn is amazing but billing is very very sketchy. My first visit the front desk lady did not ask for my insurance as I was leaving, just a method of payment. This was this difference between a $60 co pay or $300 charge, for a Chiropractic evaluation is insane. I also confirmed with my insurance that I get 10 free adjustments a year. After my 2nd visit when I got adjusted I just got a random $250 invoice. Would not recommended to anyone. read more

I rarely write reviews but unbelievably frustrating... confirmed with 2 people my insurance was taken here. I take the time off work, uber $20 for them to tell me acupuncture is going to $170 and I'm self pay and theres a new note they don't take my insurance. Confirmed multiple times with THEM they took my insurance, so spent money on an uber, and took time off of work, for something THEY confirmed with me? Told me the best they could do is a free consult. Ridiculous read more

If you are tired of living with pain, then you MUST give the staff at AMH a try! I have intermittent lower back pain and nerve discomfort. My journey with AMH has been stellar from start to finish. I am a client of the River North Clinic on Superior. The clinic manager, Nassiya, is delightful and has gone above and beyond helping me with insurance and billing questions. She is efficient and very responsive. Dr. Painchaud (physician) did my initial exam. She helped me relax with her friendly and positive attitude. I received a very thorough exam filled with questions and diagnostic tests. I did not feel rushed. Dr. Painchaud took the time to get to know me and my condition. Afterwards, she explained clearly her medical opinion on my condition and then (most importantly) came up with an action plan to get me feeling better. I have complete confidence in her expertise and decided to follow her recommendation of chiropractic adjustments and PT. Finally, i met Jay, the rehab specialist. He is a fun guy with a great sense of humor. He has been showing me different exercises and movements to practice at home. He is extremely knowledgeable and attentive during our sessions together. He welcomes questions and enjoys educating you on why you are doing what you are doing. I am "over the moon" on the progress that I have made in a relatively short period of time. I even experienced a complete day free of pain!!!! Dr. Painchaud had the right diagnosis and plan for me to feel better quickly. Her adjustments leave me feeling immediately lighter and better. The improvements I have made with Jay's help are also seen very quickly. I highly recommend these AMH professionals and thank them. I am very grateful for their help and support. read more

I was a patient of Dr Murach's for 10 sessions over 6 weeks and saw zero progress because she misdiagnosed my condition. [I had an MRI which I showed to the Doctor]. I went to a physical therapist a few blocks away and saw significant improvement in 2 weeks because of a correct diagnosis. While she was very nice [and Caroline was too], the rehab specialists were condescending. The clinic was also very disorganized. read more

So helpful and feel amazing! Went in with a lot of tension and aggravation in my lower back and hip. Dr. Caitlin Painchaud had me do movements to diagnose the problem. She then aligned, stretched, and massaged the problem areas. Felt so much better after! Will definitely be back! read more

I have been a patient since 2017 and seen this place go downhill. It's harder to get an appointment for when you need one. In fact, sometimes downright impossible. Need to reschedule an appointment? It'll take two weeks. There have been three office managers/receptionists since I started coming here. Each has been worse than the last. I miss the first one. She was friendly and welcoming. The current one is cold and unfriendly on her best day. There was a time when I could have given Aligned a five star review. No longer. I'm now looking for somewhere new to go. read more

Meh. Not the most impressed with this place. I chose to try it out because it was closer than my other chiropractor but their services did not meet my standards. Their services sound great at first, with the option for medical massage, etc but what I found is other chiropractors will allow a longer and more frequent massage cadence (obviously with medical need) than these guys will. Bottom line is I didn't feel like my pain was getting managed here. In fact I felt like the few weeks I was a patient here it greatly increased. read more

It's unfortunate that I'm writing a neg review as the doctor I saw was absolutely wonderful, however this place has asinine prices and shady billing practices (see Yelp reviews for other locations for people's experiences as well). I researched avg pricing for chiros in the area and spoke to friends/family who regularly see chiros around the city so I would know what to expect price-wise. They did go over billing beforehand, but imagine my surprise when they quoted me $250-$500?? After I had seen/heard avg quotes of $80-$150? I was shocked but felt uncomfortable leaving. The receptionist explained it's usually due to new patient preliminary things - xrays, exams, etc. So here I am expecting a bill on the lower end of that range as I only did a few exercises and was adjusted maybe twice - no xrays, no extensive exam, etc... I received a bill for nearly $400 last week - crazy ridiculous in the first place but okay fine I was given that range. Upon looking further at the bill though, I can see they charged me for "extended time". I called and was told that was for going over the allotted hour for the appointment?? First and foremost, being charged by appointment minutes is absurd and something I've never heard of or experienced from any other medical professional. Despite this questionable practice, I requested a time breakdown as I was sure I did not go over. They then revealed that I had been billed for 25 mins of "non face to face" time - 25 mins that put me over the hour. They wouldn't specify what exactly was logged in my case but said the overall charge is classified as patient preparation, paperwork, reviewing history/results, and writing/sending prescriptions. I had no history or results to review, no meds prescribed and I had come in for a consult days before not to mention filled out a ton of prep paperwork online before coming in. So I was essentially charged for 25 minutes of vague "paperwork". Imagine if you had test results or prescriptions needed. It'd be even more/longer! So they can basically charge you for any amount of unspecified "non face to face" time. Despite trying to fight the charge, they auto charged my card (they require one on file) and refused to look into the appointment time record further despite me pointing out that I was not even seen promptly at 1:30 (the start time) but rather closer to 1:45. Skip this place you can find somewhere SO much more affordable with ethical billing practices. read more

My experience here was great and their approach to wellness seems more holistic than others in the space. Dr. DiMaggio and Eugene were great to work with and helped identify the root causes of my symptoms. It was my first time doing PT alongside adjustments and I wouldn't go back to adjustments only. Janine was helpful with explaining the costs/insurance coverage and getting things scheduled. I strongly recommend Aligned Modern Health and I will be back in the future for their functional medicine practitioners. read more

After working with the team at AMH River North, I feel like a new man! It's honestly changed my outlook on healthcare. I've been to chiropractors in the past its a quick adjustment and I'm out the door. I've needed rehab in the past it was the same type of experience. I'm just another patient and a source of recurring revenue. Due to my previous experiences I hadn't gone to chiropractor in over 5 years; which led to the issues I've had recently. This forced me to find someone to go to, and luckily I found AMH! I can confidently say that the entire team at AMH River North is truly concerned with your well-being. I realized this from the very beginning. Amanda, the clinic manager had my estimated out of pocket expenses (vs my insurance) figured out to the penny. From there she's helped ensure I kept on schedule with my treatment plan with proactive follow up. With regards to my treatment plan, Dr. Dimaggio's assessment helped me understand how my body has adapted to the injuries I've incurred over the years from being highly active while dealing with minor scoliosis. He showed me how my body compensated for these injuries - essentially I was running and playing basketball on one leg. I work out 4-5 days a week and I was training all wrong. Along with the required alignments and adjustments, he's been highly involved with my rehabilitation to ensure I am training the right way, based on my bodies needs. That's where Eugene came in. He took Dr. D's diagnosis and has been working with me to strengthen my weak areas which led to my pain in the first place. The pain is gone. I feel stronger. I can cut and jump and move like I used to when I was in my mid 20's. I'm 36. I feel amazing. Today Eugene has me doing progressions that I couldn't imagine doing 2 months ago...or ever. Before I worked with him I thought I was in good shape. I was wrong! I've learned so much from him as a physical trainer. Every session pushes me further and inspires me to take what I've learned to the gym. I can't recommend them enough. My girlfriend is now patient and after her second appointment she's already feeling the benefits. (Oh by the way, I received a free massage for the referral - Thank you!) ...And that was unlike a massage I've had before. Victoria looked at my chart, spoke with Dr. D, and immediately hit my problem areas. I'm definitely going back to her for sure. My next session will most likely my official discharge. My pain is at a zero on a scale from 1-10. But they're not getting rid of me! I'll be back every 2 weeks for an alignment/maintenance/massage and a good training session to keep my workouts fresh. Novel Aside: If you want to feel better and most importantly implement a long-term wellness plan that can change your overall well being, go there now! http://www.alignedmodernhealth.com/schedule-an-appointment/ read more

I experienced ongoing lower back issues postpartum. Dr. DiMaggio and Eugene constructed an individual plan for my rehabilitation that whipped me back into fighting shape! It's remarkable how far my body has come in such a short time. I'm so thrilled to be pain free and feeling back to myself! Plus - the team there is the absolute best! My weekly visits were always a lot of fun! I'm a little sad not to see them regularly! :) read more

Jono Klopcic is pretty shady. Don't stress yourself out by going to this place and seeing him. Your body, health and peace of mind deserve better than to be scammed by Mr. Klopcic who will tell you one thing and then try to charge you with ghost services you didn't ask for, receive, approve of or even know about. Very dishonest and unethical. Be warned. read more

Highly recommend Aligned and the River North team! Post evaluation of my injury Dr. Murach clearly communicated the physical therapy plan and I appreciated her constant evaluation of my injury to understand my progress and to set expectations. I had a great experience and felt that by the end I was educated on how to correct, strengthen and prevent my injury moving forward. Dr. Murach, Eugene, and all the staff show they care for every patient and they work to customize your treatments so that you're progressing and getting what you need. read more

The whole team at Aligned Modern Health has been so incredible to work with over the course of my visits. I have loved all of my sessions and I walk away feeling stronger and more importantly, better informed on the way my body is functioning and healing. I've been eager to get a real answer for my lower back issues for a while. I have L5/S1 issues and my hips have taken a toll as a result. I love my work out at the Bar Method and my time at AMH has complimented my goals in the Bar Method studio perfectly. I finally feel like my workouts and PT are in sync, after years of trying to find a place that works with my current routine as opposed to dragging it down or fighting against it (or ignoring my passion for my exercise). The way the AMH team has helped me see how my exercises in the clinic and my Bar workout can fit together have been incredible. On a customer level, I'm so grateful for their time, hospitality, and listening ears. I truly look forward to each appointment, as a patient and as a customer. I'm especially grateful that our conversations carry over so seamlessly. I had to miss a couple of weeks and when I got back, I felt like I was back in the right hands - the team checked in on how some things in my personal life were going (that I had mentioned prior) AND were able to jump right back into the exercise, reflecting on how far I have come. THANK YOU to the AMH - Southport family for welcoming me in with warm (and toned) arms! read more

Can't say enough good things about the AMH River North team. Dr. Para has been pivotal in my healing journey. Her knowledge about acupuncture and how it can help with women's health and fertility is astounding. Love chatting with her each week. Acupuncture has quickly become on of my favorite hours of my week. Ladies, if you're struggling with your period or trying to get pregnant and are considering acupuncture, go see Dr. Para! read more

Cannot say enough about the Aligned Modern Health River North team! Both the chiropractic and acupuncture teams greatly assisted when I injured my back earlier in the year and got me back on track quickly. Beyond that, the service and personal connection they make with each guest is unmet. I actually look forward to visiting! read more

Great experience all around! Dr. DiMaggio, Eugene, and the front desk staff are all excellent and truly do care for their patients in a unique customized manner. I was experiencing some shoulder pain after an injury and after a series of treatments, I had my mobility back and was pain-free. Have also seen them due to some previous knee injuries that led to hip issues and the team took a holistic approach to getting me back on my normal exercise routine. As other reviews state, I leave the clinic feeling better and stronger than when I walked in. Highly recommend the group here. It's a time well spent after having spent thousands on sub-par physical therapy and expensive MRIs to yield very little results. read more

Wow! Otherwise know as, "A sensational success." Aligned Modern Health-River North is the model and 'sets the bar' high for physical medicine wellness centers. The staff is phenomenal: Starting with Amanda at the front desk who is friendly, knowledgeable, personable and professional; To Dr. Roberts and Dr. DiMaggio who will literally 'crack you up,' (pun intended) and provide you with professional and practical service with their medical expertise and awesome personalities; To Eugene who is dedicated to his practice and who will get you stronger and whip you into shape with a wide range of floor, wall, and table exercises (while he knows and respects the theory make sure you come to do work--the practical real-world therapy); To Dr. Kamel, "The Life Changer," who is compassionate with her patient care and will leave you feel relaxed and feeling in a state of Zen ("total state of focus that incorporates a total togetherness of body and mind."); To Victoria who is skilled in the art of manual therapy and muscle manipulation--Victoria will leave you feeling relaxed before or after your chiropractic and physiotherapy treatments. Please be on time to your appointments to respect the businesses time and the other clients who look forward to the same, consistent customer experience. Amanda does her best to make accommodations in emergency situations, but she is not a magician or artist ("the art gallery is next door.") Aligned Modern Health-River North (Aligned) provides medicine and therapeutic services at a high level in a seemingly effortless way. The positive vibes at Aligned are unmatched by most businesses (medical or non-medical)--although you come in pain, you leave feeling great. I received treatment at RIC-Northwestern, Rush University, and other franchise therapy providers, but Aligned is the best. I highly recommend Aligned so you can: "Live Life to the Fullest!" read more

Very rude! Went into office to try to reschedule since hours at work had changed. The receptionist was very rude and the first thing she said was 'this is the third time we have rescheduled you'. This was not true, it was the second. More than anything it was her attitude that put me off. I told her she could just cancel me as I would not be back. For a location that I have never seen busy, she may be the cause. I will take my money elsewhere. read more

I was a patient for a few months after very annoying back issues, and called around for a few chiropractors but aligned was the only one that could book a same day appointment. The staff is very engaging and informative, and the treatment was successful. I would definitely recommend Aligned on Superior to everyone! read more

I had such a positive experience at AMH River North! Their staff is incredibly friendly and professional. After going to AMH for inflammation problems due to AS, Dr. DiMaggio and Eugene helped me explore movements that would reduce the pain from that inflammation. The entire staff is fantastic and they go out of their way for every patient! I felt so cared for. read more

I've undergone chiropractic care for years and have been incredibly interested in health an wellness. At AMH I found everything i need in one place, and it's amazing! Dr. Roberts is incredibly personable and professional - really getting to know you and care about you as a patient and wanting you to live your fullest life vs be hindered by pain or issues. The full staff goes over your treatment plans and unlike other clinics, doesn't try to sell you things you don't need or give you advice that's incorrect. His treatment plan, the physical therapy plan and sessions and manual therapy treatments got me back up and to my normal activity levels in no time - while having a great time. I've expanded the services I go to AMH for and now see their functional medicine doctor and nutritionist. After 5 years of struggling and undiagnosed with traditional MDs, the functional medicine doctor was able to give me thorough tests and we uncovered the true underlying issues and I am currently on a treatment plan and supplements that are 100% helping all of these things. Everyone from Amanda the Manager to each staff member and even staff rotating in from other locations have always been amazing to see and work with and get to know. I never once have felt like I was being diagnosed wrong, charged for things I didn't need etc. Their goal is to get you in and out and get you healthy as quickly as possible. I cannot recommend AMH enough!!! read more

Wonderful care all around. Dr. Murach is my 5th chiropractor in 7 years and she has provided the most comprehensive care I have ever received. The space is clean, the staff is helpful and polite, and it's an overall excellent experience. In the short amount of time I've been seen here my mobility has drastically improved, thanks to both the Dr. and Eugene. I've always regarded having to go to the chiropractor as a chore and, honestly, I look forward to going - they are legitimately lovely people to be around, as well as really good at what they do. I highly recommend! read more

Not only is the care that you receive at Aligned best in class, but the chiropractors, massage therapists and office management are even better. The treatment plans aren't standardized but customized by patient based on need, which likely encompass chiropractic adjustments, chiropractic massage and/or physical therapy. The combination of chiropractic massage with Victoria and an adjustment from Dr. DiMaggio not only decreases my pain level significantly after each visit, but my overall pain level is decreasing quickly over time. From the incredibly welcoming atmosphere of the office to the expertise of the medical staff, I couldn't speak more highly of Aligned Modern Health if I tried! read more

Great experience. Staff is knowledgeable and warm. Dr. Roberts takes great care and listens to all concerns and adjusts treatment to manage to them. I was hesitant to go to a chiropractor and Aligned has eased my concerns. Today, after a rough day, before my appointment they had me get a complimentary massage to ease my mind and relax me. And it was a great massage on top of it! Highly recommended for anyone who wants top notch patient experience! read more

I've been going to Aligned for acupuncture for 5 months now, and I highly recommend to everyone. It literally is just like the name..."modern".
