So I don't know what I paid $300+ for. I did the Swedish massage for 90 minutes and it was truly a mid experience. Pressure was feather light, experience was subpar. This was one of the best massages I have had. I went in with very serious lower back pain and some worry because I have degenerative discs in my lower spine. I had a reservation for a Swedish massage, but Nedra helpfully suggested that deep tissue would be more helpful for my issues. Nedra is so skilled and knowledgable, she found her way around my body to areas where there was tightness and soreness I did not even know was there. Had a very relaxation massage from Nedra today. I went in feeling stressed and carrying tension in my shoulders. By the end I was ready for a mid day nap. Good pressure throughout and my whole body was just slowly relaxed. The environment is very peaceful with light music in the background and some flickering fake candle light in the corner. Not a place where you can shower afterwards FYI and it is on the fourth floor which took me a moment to find. read more

As a former massage therapist and instructor, I am beyond delighted to find Nedra as she is extremely talented in a way that's very rare! She is my dream therapist at such an accessible price! I used to teach my students there's a fine line between the Chinese medicine ooh that hurts so good/i really need that ty kind of pain, and the OUCH you're hurting me and causing injury pain! The very best therapists who don't just work off trade school patterns and rather massage as a craft, as a therapist, as an art form -- know how to walk that line to come right up to it but NEVER cross it. She has plenty of strength to go deep, but the wisdom to use it only after your tissue lets her in because she has approached it in a way that encourages your muscles to just submit and be grateful. It's the best massage I have had outside of my Hawaiian teachers, and that I hope speaks volumes to her touch. That means that you have a phenomenal, completely relaxed massage, where you are totally focused on the present moment and your body -- without tensing up when she comes to tight areas. That tensing up and ouchy bad pain often happens with less sensitive, less skilled therapists who find a problem and decide the best approach is a quickly dropped elbow or a ton of pressure rather than a conversation with your body where you let it go together. Whereas in some well meaning more common massages, blunt force would leave you with bruises where you need healing -- Nedra has a highly tuned sense of what your body can handle, so you get maximum relief without bruising or pain. So I would just let her do whatever she wants if I were you! Very intuitive. True to her name, she is absolutely meticulous. I was amazed at how much she was able to fit into an hour and she really demonstrated a remarkable ability to just find and locate every little sticky muscle and intersection and resolve it. A fabulous therapist will find all those little things and shake them out, using a number of tools to approach your body, and she is masterful so I am hooked! I came in off Groupon but I have already booked her for 3 months and bought a massage as a gift for my boyfriend's birthday, THAT's how good. She has a very thorough technique from the flow of her movement to her uses of warm oil and steaming hot towels in a standard massage, and extra thought into her practice that will make you feel like you should tip her very well. I hate to blow up my own spot and make her harder to book as I think she just recently opened, but I am moving soon and she deserves accolades. And I'm a Virgo so, if I think she's this excellent then just know that's coming from a very picky person! read more

Went to see Nedra during COVID because my boyfriend booked a surprise massage for me on our vacation. In the past, I haven't had great massages and most of them were extremely rough and painful to the point I was sore for several days after which made me pretty hesitant to get a massage again; however, Nedra made the experience personal, relaxing and paid attention to details! I have a terrible back (like almost everyone) and you could actually see the before and after difference on each side of my back. She recommended I get a massage every 2 weeks and gave specific parts for the next person to focus on knowing I probably wouldn't see her again because we came from out of town. With her meticulous knowledge on the anatomy of muscles, attention to detail, compassion and paying attention to feedback, Nedra created a pleasant and effective experience. I went in with a slouch and back pain and came out glowing and walking with my head held high! She paid close attention to what was hurting and spent a lot of time focusing on one problem spot at a time instead of doing a mediocre job on my entire body because she understood the way muscles connected. Most places I've been to don't focus on specific problem areas but rather divide time evenly throughout the whole body which isn't always effective. Nedra!!!! My new favorite person. To say she was amazing, is an understatement. I have received MANYYYY massages in my life, but this one was actually pain relieving! I love massages and I'm picky. I recently was seeing a physical therapist for about 2 months with 2 sessions a week for my neck and shoulder pain and nothing came from it. One 90-minute massage with Nedra was life changing. She knows her stuff. I felt comfortable and relaxed the entire time. The only thing I was thinking the entire time was... don't start snoring. I found her via Groupon, and I'm typically skeptical of Groupon purchases, I've been let down in the past, but I was in so much pain, I was one step away from going to a doctor for injections or anything to stop the pain. Nedra loves what she does and you can tell. I almost don't want to write a good review because I don't want it to be harder to get an appointment with her, she only works Wed-Friday, but I can't do that to her, she deserves more then my greediness! read more
