I booked a 120-minute session seeking restorative care, and from the moment I arrived, I felt so incredibly welcomed. Nedra R. Crosby, LMT, is truly an angel sent from heaven above. As the Founder of Meticulous Massage®, she was genuinely excited to work with me, making the visit deeply personal and putting me right on cloud 9. What stood out most was her warm, intuitive approach. She is deeply attentive and METICULOUS, exactly as advertised--proving that her motto, "Precision Changes Everything," is absolutely true. This isn't just a basic massage; it's serious, thoughtful bodywork. Nedra intuitively knew exactly where I was hurting and always used the perfect, comforting pressure to melt the tension away. I left feeling completely renewed, and that beautiful sense of relief lasted for several weeks afterward. It was a deeply relaxing experience that truly changed my body. I cannot recommend her enough! read more

So I don't know what I paid $300+ for. I did the Swedish massage for 90 minutes and it was truly a mid experience. Pressure was feather light, experience was subpar. Honestly it's way, way overpriced. Nedra seemed nice enough but really? I don't think she got any of my knots and it felt relaxing at times but definitely not $300 relaxing. Also, the towel she used at the end smelled bad. read more

For me, massage therapy is a regular part of my life, and Meticulous Massage ranks as one of the top I've ever had. I found this gem when searching for massages near my hotel (Hyatt Regency), and it was walking distance making it very convenient. From the moment you walk in you are transported to a world of relaxation and peaceful energy vibes. I had a 90 minute deep tissue treatment and my entire body was rejuvenated. I'd book a trip back to Chicago just for this body work. read more

Nedra Crosby - love, love, love! An incredibly beautiful soul and the most professional, fabulous, talented massage therapist ever. Some hands are just magical and Nedra has the best pair. Also, can we talk about how amazing she is as a human?! I have never sat around talking to someone almost an hour POST-appointment! Nedra, I am so happy to have met you. I wish I lived in Chicago so I could see you more often, but I promise I will fly in from NYC, drive from the suburbs and come see you EVERY time I come to Illinois! We were staying at the Langham and I Googled "best massage near me". Nedra's Meticulous Massage showed up with 5 stars. The booking process is super simple, Nedra took the time to address all of my pains and made sure I was comfortable from beginning to end. I love the little things she adds on that make it extra special. I have never met anyone like her. She loves what she does and you can tell. Chicago family and friends, PLEASE go see her! Your body will thank you so much and you'll have a massage therapist for life. I don't think I'll ever be able to go to anyone else even though I live in NYC! read more

Nedra was completely amazing. She was so gracious and accommodating when I booked a same-day appointment and accidentally booked an add-on instead of a full service while visiting Chicago this weekend. I have serious pain and mobility issues that few providers and therapists have been able to help me with, but Nedra knew exactly how to support what my body needed. I cannot recommend her enough. read more

My husband loved his massage that I booked for him for his bday and insists I need to get one next time here. He said it's one of the best he's ever had. Thanks! read more

Meticulous Massage - Truly relaxing massage experience! - Massage Therapy Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Hands down the best massage I've ever had in my entire life! Nedra used techniques that I haven't ever had before and now I feel like a new person. She is so passionate about her craft and you really can tell she loves what she does. She listened to my needs, made adjustments when I needed them (to move my face out of the face cradle when I was feeling claustrophobic, to turn up the heated blanket because I'm a cold baby) and made sure to check in with how I was doing. I will definitely be back. read more

Nedra is amazing! She is very welcoming, attentive, and gave an amazing massage. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back!

Book your next massage with Nedra - don't even think about it! I'm a big spa'er and a picky one, at that - I took a chance with a new person based on reviews here and Google and just - WOW. Seriously, she was - FABULOUS. The worst part of a massage? Always the pressure...it's too light, it's too hard - and you walk away $100+ down and still in pain, one way or the other. Nedra is magic (and by magic, I think she is very learned in the anatomical sciences). She used the perfect amount of pressure in every spot, worked out all the kinks through myofascial release and I can move everything with zero pain! Will definitely be going back again and again! read more

Since 5-Stars is the highest, let me give this masseuse her just due. Nedra administered one of the best massages I've had in years! Thank you Nedra for giving me excellent service head to toes. I jokingly told my sister that I'd scheduled a spa day and was going to get smacked up, flipped and rubbed down. Little did I know that's exactly what I'd get - in the best way possible. My entire body feels great even days later. I am looking forward to my next massage from this gifted lady. Thank you for rubbing out the tight spots and giving me the type of massage my body needed. read more

Nedra was awesome. Was having massive neck pain and visiting from out of town. She was across the street from my hotel and she had good reviews so took a shot. Was well worth it. Cute place and nicely done. She really worked my neck and I was able to function the rest of the day without pain. read more

This was one of the best massages I have had. I went in with very serious lower back pain and some worry because I have degenerative discs in my lower spine. I had a reservation for a Swedish massage, but Nedra helpfully suggested that deep tissue would be more helpful for my issues. Nedra is so skilled and knowledgable, she found her way around my body to areas where there was tightness and soreness I did not even know was there. After only one hour, I left with significant relief from the pain and so much easier to walk. I very highly recommend. Do yourself a favor and get a massage from Nedra. read more

Had a very relaxation massage from Nedra today. I went in feeling stressed and carrying tension in my shoulders. By the end I was ready for a mid day nap. Good pressure throughout and my whole body was just slowly relaxed. The environment is very peaceful with light music in the background and some flickering fake candle light in the corner. Not a place where you can shower afterwards FYI and it is on the fourth floor which took me a moment to find. read more

As a former massage therapist and instructor, I am beyond delighted to find Nedra as she is extremely talented in a way that's very rare! She is my dream therapist at such an accessible price! I used to teach my students there's a fine line between the Chinese medicine ooh that hurts so good/i really need that ty kind of pain, and the OUCH you're hurting me and causing injury pain! The very best therapists who don't just work off trade school patterns and rather massage as a craft, as a therapist, as an art form -- know how to walk that line to come right up to it but NEVER cross it. She has plenty of strength to go deep, but the wisdom to use it only after your tissue lets her in because she has approached it in a way that encourages your muscles to just submit and be grateful. It's the best massage I have had outside of my Hawaiian teachers, and that I hope speaks volumes to her touch. That means that you have a phenomenal, completely relaxed massage, where you are totally focused on the present moment and your body -- without tensing up when she comes to tight areas. That tensing up and ouchy bad pain often happens with less sensitive, less skilled therapists who find a problem and decide the best approach is a quickly dropped elbow or a ton of pressure rather than a conversation with your body where you let it go together. Whereas in some well meaning more common massages, blunt force would leave you with bruises where you need healing -- Nedra has a highly tuned sense of what your body can handle, so you get maximum relief without bruising or pain. So I would just let her do whatever she wants if I were you! Very intuitive. True to her name, she is absolutely meticulous. I was amazed at how much she was able to fit into an hour and she really demonstrated a remarkable ability to just find and locate every little sticky muscle and intersection and resolve it. A fabulous therapist will find all those little things and shake them out, using a number of tools to approach your body, and she is masterful so I am hooked! I came in off Groupon but I have already booked her for 3 months and bought a massage as a gift for my boyfriend's birthday, THAT's how good. She has a very thorough technique from the flow of her movement to her uses of warm oil and steaming hot towels in a standard massage, and extra thought into her practice that will make you feel like you should tip her very well. I hate to blow up my own spot and make her harder to book as I think she just recently opened, but I am moving soon and she deserves accolades. And I'm a Virgo so, if I think she's this excellent then just know that's coming from a very picky person! read more

Katrina helped get race-ready for the Chicago Marathon on Sunday! I'm grateful for her strong hands and massage skills. She found the root of my tight muscles and helped me physically and mentally prepare for race day. I was able to relax and exhale as my nerves try to get the best of me. The stretching was an added bonus. Thank you, Meticulous Massage!!!!!! read more

I had a great experience at Meticulous Massage. I was treated very calmly and kindly, and the masseuse adapted quickly to any areas that were painful or ticklish for me. The 30-min massage was the perfect treat I needed after a long day at work! I would definitely go back in the future. read more

Nedra was amazing! Found this place simply due to location being close to my house and it did not disappoint. I will be back soon :) I got the 60 minute deep tissue massage and wish I did longer I did not want it to end! read more

Amazing! Thanks Nedra for making my "ME" weekend away from my toddler so relaxing. I get massages on a regular basis for my tension headaches and old injuries and I can say, hands down, this massage outranks them all. She took the time to really figure out what I needed and helped me shut my overworking mom brain off! THE BEST!!!! read more

Nedra was amazing. Paid close attention to the areas I asked about and identified others by herself that I'd forgotten to mention. She's great! read more

Went to see Nedra during COVID because my boyfriend booked a surprise massage for me on our vacation. In the past, I haven't had great massages and most of them were extremely rough and painful to the point I was sore for several days after which made me pretty hesitant to get a massage again; however, Nedra made the experience personal, relaxing and paid attention to details! I have a terrible back (like almost everyone) and you could actually see the before and after difference on each side of my back. She recommended I get a massage every 2 weeks and gave specific parts for the next person to focus on knowing I probably wouldn't see her again because we came from out of town. With her meticulous knowledge on the anatomy of muscles, attention to detail, compassion and paying attention to feedback, Nedra created a pleasant and effective experience. I went in with a slouch and back pain and came out glowing and walking with my head held high! She paid close attention to what was hurting and spent a lot of time focusing on one problem spot at a time instead of doing a mediocre job on my entire body because she understood the way muscles connected. Most places I've been to don't focus on specific problem areas but rather divide time evenly throughout the whole body which isn't always effective. I can see why she has loyal customers and I wish I lived in Chicago so I could visit more often! Definitely will go again next time we're in town. Thank you Nedra for all of your help read more

Nedra is excellent, highly recommend. Very professional technique, using multiple angles to iron out the tough spots. Particularly good for sore hips and shoulders. Michigan avenue location is easily accessible, service was prompt and on time. read more

Nedra!!!! My new favorite person. To say she was amazing, is an understatement. I have received MANYYYY massages in my life, but this one was actually pain relieving! I love massages and I'm picky. I recently was seeing a physical therapist for about 2 months with 2 sessions a week for my neck and shoulder pain and nothing came from it. One 90-minute massage with Nedra was life changing. She knows her stuff. I felt comfortable and relaxed the entire time. The only thing I was thinking the entire time was... don't start snoring. I found her via Groupon, and I'm typically skeptical of Groupon purchases, I've been let down in the past, but I was in so much pain, I was one step away from going to a doctor for injections or anything to stop the pain. Nedra loves what she does and you can tell. I almost don't want to write a good review because I don't want it to be harder to get an appointment with her, she only works Wed-Friday, but I can't do that to her, she deserves more then my greediness! read more

Hands down best massage ever! Nedra has an intuitive approach which led her to work on areas and issues beyond my target problems. I felt incredible and revived after. Highly highly recommend. read more
