Probably one of the best massage spots in Chicago! I went twice during my stay, and both experiences were absolutely amazing. I had a table massage with my clothes on, and the therapist walked on my back with perfect balance and pressure -- not too heavy, just exactly where it was needed. The overall experience was relaxing, professional, and very effective. I highly recommend Dancing Fingers, but definitely make an appointment since they can get pretty busy. I'll absolutely be back the next time I'm in Chicago -- they're the real deal. read more

I tried this place and I'm definitely coming back! I went for one hour of the traditional Chinese massage (deep tissue) and it was well worth the price. I was not expecting the therapist to walk on my back but that was a pleasant surprise. She found all the right spots and I walked out of there relaxed and feeling energized. read more

Had a great massage here!! this was my first massage in a long time and I asked to focus on my upper back and neck and the massuse spent a majority of the time on that area and the pressure was great I felt immediately lighter leaving and the pricing is awesome! will be back soon read more

The name is very suggestive but the service is great and totally worth the money. I always get the deep tissue massage for 60 mins with medium pressure. I am someone who has a high tolerance for pressure and even I need to take medium pressure only. The masseuses go out their way to ensure they massage every inch of your body, especially the problem areas. My masseuse even gets on the table to ensure she can reach the areas properly and massage correctly. They also do stretches at the end of the message to flush out the lactic acid. I love this place and will continue to get massages from here as they are very effective. read more

This place is a hidden gem! I only recently stumbled upon it this past spring and it has become a staple in my self-care routine. Every massage I've had has been most therapeutic! The masseuses are mindful and always ask if the pressure is ok. And the stretches at the end are an added bonus. I've had massages with Hong and Kelly and recommend them both very highly! Claire and Roshi at the front desk are so kind and welcoming. I can't wait for my next visit. read more

They ran out of lotion and used the sheet to massage with and it was very uncomfortable. they still charged me for a full price massage after. I have never been to a massage where they run out of lotion or oil for the service. Facility was clean read more

I received the best massage of my life yesterday. Absolutely incredible. I got a 2 hour session and every single moment of it was amazing. It really felt like they understood what was going on in my body. I re-booked for another appointment as soon as it was over. My only complaint is that it was kind of humid and stuffy, so I had a hard time breathing through most of it while facing down because my nose closed up. Definitely going to be using nasal spray before the next session. I don't think this docks it down from a 5 stars rating though because the massage itself was beyond any other massage I've ever received by a long shot. read more

Great Chinese Tui Na/Deep tissue massage. Relaxing and cozy. The stuffs were very friendly

Amazing. I did the clothes on 30 min table massage and wow, it was like night and day. I feel so much better and I am amazed at how much tension Wendy was able to work out of me in such small time frame. She was very communicative about what pressure I wanted and very smart about where my tight muscles were stemming from. LOVE. I will be back soon! read more

Had a great massage, a slightly different type of massage than I was used to - at one point my masseuse was on all 4s on top of my body, but she put every ounce of effort she had into the massage and I felt great afterwards. They honored our last minute appointment and I would go back! read more

Awesome customer service at the front desk. They remember me every time. Online booking! Thai massage and deep tissue massage will radically soothe your aching muscles. I go back time and again for great no frills service which is exactly what I prefer. read more

We called them very last minute for a couples massage and they were able to accommodate us. I was very grateful for that and even more pleased once we experienced the massages. They were excellent quality and listened to which areas we wanted to focus on. Also very affordable. Definitely would come back! read more

We stopped by Dancing Fingers a few months ago while we were in town and got massage service from their therapists. While Dancing Fingers has the same name as a location that we frequented in Taipei, I don't believe this was the same ownership. The quality of the massage was definitely on par with my expectations going into this location and I thought they did a decent job with the actual care. However, the overall experience that we had at Dancing Fingers left a lot to be desired. First off, it's located on the ground floor of an apartment building so that was odd, but understanding that real estate prices are probably not cheap in the city I can understand them setting up where ever they can. Second, while this was probably the hottest two days of the year up to that point in Chicago, there facilities seemed to lack proper air conditioning as both of us left their sweating, which made the massage less enjoyable than say just getting one in the mall and unfortunately for the cost of their service, that was unacceptable to me. Overall, on a normal day it's probably okay or even great, but on a hot summers day, it definitely took a lot off of the experience. read more

This was an interesting experience. My friend and I stumbled across this place looking for something to soothe our feet from lots of walking. We signed up for the reflexology, which was said to focus on the feet with a little massage of the shoulders. First, upon arrival, we were asked to lay down. They filled buckets of water and carried them over to our chairs so we could soak our feet. They were too hot, so they had to go get a bucket of cold water to even it out. The session started with your neck and arms. My friend was asked if she had any pain, and if there were any areas of her body that needed attention. The woman providing my reflexology had her earbuds in and didn't speak to me. Since we were the first appointments for the day, the AC wasn't in full swing yet so I was hot and not relaxed. The fact that I had my eyes open irritated my masseuse and she put a towel over my face. I was not a fan. She also placed a towel on top of my clothes to do the massage, which was a rough and awkward feeling. Overall, I was not a fan. My friend had a great experience and would go back, but Wendy was not great. read more

Dancing Fingers Authentic Chinese Massage - Cupping Detoxifying treatment - Reflexology Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

This is a hard review to write because I am still shocked by what happened today. I booked for the first time at this place a 1h deep tissue massage for 3pm today because my back hurts. When I arrived they told me it would be a male massage therapist, which I didn't see any issue with it since I had many massages before and some of them had been with men. I am a massage regular as I have a lot of back issues. I have been getting massages for years, in many different locations and I have been massaged by men and women. But never have I ever experienced something like this that would make me so uncomfortable. When the massage started, I thought it was a bit awkward how heavy breathing was the man massaging me. And how he would just really stick the top of his legs against my head when massaging me. I tried to relax, thinking he was probably breathing hard because massages can be physically demanding and that maybe he didn't have a lot of space and had to do the massage that way with his legs against my head. Though I already didn't feel comfortable. For 30 mins, I kept feeling more and more uncomfortable, as he was mostly massaging my bottom and not my back (he probably worked my back for 5mins total and then 25 minutes on my butt, which felt really pointless for a deep tissue massage when you have back pain. And don't give me wrong, muscles on the butt are good to massage, but it just doesn't feel right when it becomes the full focus of a deep tissue massage and the way he was touching it...). I was already getting really stressed, but as he was massaging my bottom, his fingers kept sliding weirdly into my crack and I would move suddenly so he would stop. I should have stopped the massage way earlier than I did, but I kept thinking that maybe I was overthinking the situation and I just needed to relax. Because as women, we're often doubting our gut feelings as we don't wanna be perceived dramatic when something like this happens. Well, it kept happening more and more, his fingers would touch more and more in inappropriate places and I started to react stronger for him to stop. I finally had the courage to tell him to stop when he tried to massage my legs and literally kept touching my feminine parts as he was doing that. I yelled at him, told him I was so uncomfortable and that he shouldn't be putting his hands in intimate places like this that are not normal for a massage. He reacted weirdly, just opened the door saying "it's ok like this" (like with the door not close anymore, I was "safe") and tried to keep massaging me. And I said no, that I wanted someone else. The front desk person came and said they didn't have anyone else so I said I just needed to leave because I couldn't keep going with that person. I left the place in tears, feeling really uncomfortable in my body and ashamed that I didn't react earlier. I felt very violated and in the hundreds of massages I have done in my life, I have never felt that way. Something was definitely not right during that massage. It felt like an aggression. I ended up checking over reviews online trying to find comfort in someone maybe having experienced the same thing as me at that place, and I found this woman's review from a month ago, describing the same situation. I don't know if it was the same massage therapist, but there's a good chance that it was. And it looks like they did nothing about it. They let him keep working there. Be aware, I have a feeling it happened to many other women with that person, but that they were so embarrassed for their bodies like me that they just never left a review about their traumatizing experience. Stay away from this place to be safe. read more

Great spot for a quick 30 minute massage or hour massage. Very prompt in responding to getting an appointment and extremely clean spot. I got a 30 minute massage and it helped my back immensely. I had such a knot in my back the woman massaging me was patient to rub the knot out of my back and did a great job. Would recommend this place to anyone in the area for looking for something priced reasonably. read more

Consistent in massage technique and style. Friendly service and accommodating. Nothing to complain about here.

My first massage in a while. I was very impressed. As others mentioned, sparse but very new and clean. I also liked the table; it was very comfortable. The hour went by very quickly and I felt very relaxed and loose when it was over. The therapist said at the end that I needed to stretch more. Me a bicyclist! Oh well, learn something new every day. There is some difficulty finding parking, but next time, and there will be a next time, I will take public transportation. read more

Don't waste your time coming here! This is the second time this place has messed up my appointment time and I've shown up just to have them cancel on me. I have a sick obsession for off the mark Asian massage places. I'm on the hunt for a shady, seedy, fantastic massage deal that no one else knows about. Dancing fingers was pretty damn good! I saw them on groupon and figured...what the hell?? I love these sketchy all in one, group massage places. I called about 15 mins before I wanted an apptmt and they said no problem. When I arrived, I was taken into a dark room where there was a person already in deep into his massage. I hung up my coat, put my feet in the water and allowed my little masseuse to work her magic. It wasnt ground breaking...but it most definitely was a fantastic deal for 60 mins. I received a whole body massage (over the clothes) with special work on my feet. What more can I ask for?? If you know how these places work, its not weird. If you are looking for ambiance, this is not your place. If you are looking for a cheap massage, this might be your place. read more

Alena welcomed me and asked me to strip down and lay on my stomach. I quickly stripped including my underwear and socks. She did a great job on my back, even walking on my legs and back. After massaging and kneading each area, she applied a hot towel to my backside. She did however, didn't work on my bare feet much. A little bit on my soles and toes, but that's it. I turned over and my legs, arms and face were massaged. Again, barely any foot massage. My back felt a lot better as I dressed and put on my socks and shoes. I gave her a $20 tip for a good job. My only complaint, little time on my bare feet, otherwise . read more

This was my first time visiting this facility and the experience was so so. I called ahead to reserve a space and they shared they would have a space ready. However, while they knew I was coming when I arrived, I still waited a little over 10 minutes before they took me back. Then, when I got back to the massage table it was in a smaller community space very close to another table. It was also a tad unorganized and a tad awkward as there wasn't really much direction regarding where to place coats, etc.. You're really on your own to figure it out. The massage itself was alright while they were actually working however there was a lot of commotion with other things going on around the facility, a lot of talking and focusing on other things than just the service and was not conducive to truly relaxing. Lastly, if you give them your phone number they will consistently text you solicitations to return. I respect their persistence just understand what you're signing up for. I give this location three stars as I have routinely gotten massages from similar facilities and, while the massage itself was decent, I would not recommend this facility if you're looking for privacy and dedicated attention. read more

If you want a fancy schmancy place with frills this is not for you. They offer no frills massage in clean room with massages that are priced right and are perfectly relaxing. I originally came here because I had a Groupon but I've routinely come back anytime I need an hour just for myself. The Reflexology is honestly one of the best I've had in Chicago. They really take their time and make sure I'm relaxed. The first time I went it was a couple days after I had a pretty intense workout so I was VERY sore. The Reflexology massage was exactly what I needed! I just went in today for my first ever Tui Na massage and let me tell you, it is absolutely worth the $75! I also brought my sister along and she got the Reflexology massage. She said the masseuse was attentive and focused on the areas where she was most tense. She said it was lovely and the guy was very very nice. Next time I come in I'll probably do the combination massage with some cupping! Definitely recommend this place! read more

I've been to dancing fingers many times and I keep coming back! It's nothing crazy fancy or over the top, but the perfect place to go when you need some relief on short notice. Most of the appointments I've made have been only a day or two in advance, if not on the same day. I often get random pains throughout my neck, shoulders and back, and I love that I can always count on Dancing Fingers to take me on short notice and work out the kinks and pains that always plague me. Based on the type of massage you receive, you will either be in the group room or the private room. If you're particular, just ask before making your appointment as some appointments are booked in a certain way based on whether or not you will need oil, wear clothes, etc. I love how friendly everyone is at Dancing Fingers, and they have a cool point system to get discounts the more you visit. Really recommend this no frills, get the kinks out, massage parlor! read more

I purchased a Groupon and called over a week in advance to schedule my appt. They called me 1 hour and 15 mins before my appt saying they could not accommodate me anymore. I didn't answer the phone when they initially called because I was otherwise occupied. They kept asking if my Groupon was expired or close to being expired. When I asked why that matter they then tried to pressure me to come in and "just let them redeem the Groupon". It all seemed very shady to me so I told them to just cancel my appt and I would reach out to Groupon for a refund. Twenty mins later someone calls me to tell me their policy is to call twice to confirm an appt. Calling 75 mins before, 2 mins apart, doesn't exactly feel like a great policy. Be careful buying a Groupon from this place. My intuition after this is that you'll get subpar service! read more

Dancing Fingers Authentic Chinese Massage - Reflexology Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Been here a few times, and would go back, though the most recent time wasn't my favorite experience. If you need an hour massage for around $40, and it's in your hood, it's probably worth it. The most recent time I was here, they made me pay in advance, which I thought was a little strange, but fine. I actually didn't think there was enough pressure in certain areas, and then other areas too much. I probably could have said something, but sometimes communication is a little bit challenging. Anyway, it was fine. It does feel like a bit of an escape, which is definitely worth the price. read more

Oh man, oh man, oh man... is this place great. I wiah I lived in Chicago! We have similar places where I live (Austin, TX) but the massages are only about 70% as good. I liked it so much, I went two days in a row and hope I can resist going again tomorrow. I like the reflexology massages, super comfy and relaxing! If only my husband could be trained to do something remotely similar so I could be as relaxed at home. read more

Do you know how hard it is to track down a solid place for reflexology in this city?! I do, and I am so happy to discover that Dancing Fingers is just down the street from me. Hooray! Here's the thing. Like the full idiot I am, I had stepped on one of my hand-weights with full force, and my entire left foot was hurting. I booked an appointment with Ron, and he went to work. Reflexology isn't a frou-frou waterfalls-and-bliss kind of a massage. If you want that, go to a full service spa with ambient lighting and get a pedicure. It was relaxing at times, but it also hurt at certain points, but it was sweet, sweet pain. It hurts in a way that feels good because you know that your body is going to feel that much better after. Ron is incredibly experienced and could tell immediately that my foot was swollen and in bad shape. After my appointment, I kid you not, my foot felt about 60% better. And after that? It was totally normal. I have no doubt that Ron's healing reflexology techniques had everything to do with it. read more

This was the best Reflexology I have gotten in the city. It was thorough, relaxing, and altogether a good experience. The reflexology bed they put you in is very comfortable, and the room is private yet not too sketchy. I paid for the 60 minute message and I think that was a good idea. He went though my head, arms, shoulders, hands, feet, and back. It was very complete. My only complaint is the roughness. When he was doing my face I thought that it seemed a little rough, especially around my jaw and cheekbones. I woke up the day after and my cheeks were a little swollen and my jaw was sore. Maybe that means he did a good job, or maybe that means it was a little too rough. read more

Found a groupon for this place and decided to give it a try. I thought since it isn't in the loop, parking will be fine, but I was dead wrong. I was fifteen minutes late due to finding parking. I ended up parking three blocks away (in front of Walter Payton). The massage was awesome. You'll be situated in a dark room with music surrounding you while you get your feet soaked and then the massage begins! It was pretty relaxing. I regretted wearing my regular jeans during the session because it was pretty uncomfortable getting my hips pressed with all those jean creases against me. At the end of the session, the masseuse provided a cup of tea. Something that left me thinking was how he laughed a little when I said "ow" when I got stretched a little too far. All in all, it's worth it with the groupon. I'm not sure about coming back due to the parking. read more

We got a Groupon for one hour reflexology massage and decided to give it a try. My first impression of the place was that I didn't like the smell. Other than that everything was OK. The place was small and simple. I was expecting a foot massage but it started with 15 minutes of head and shoulder massage. Lying flat with feet in the water bucket made my lower back really uncomfortable, at least the back massage at the end made up for it. So don't show up in jeans. My Therapist Leo was great, and I loved the foot massage. I couldn't see what he was doing but My BF's therapist used some wood stick to massage his feet that was a little scratchy for him but he still liked it. Overall I think for a $45 massage it's a great deal in the city even without a Groupon. I'd totally recommend it. I think making an appointment in advance would be a better idea since I overheard them in Chinese that they were booked for the rest of the day. If the owner is reading it I would suggest something to make the place smell better and a bigger cup of water at the end. read more

What an amazing find! This is a REAL massage - not the poor excuse for a massage that you'll find at one of the big national "spa" chain stores. I first went to Amazing Fingers on the recommendation of a friend and I was a tad skeptical when I arrived as the waiting room is pretty bare bones: tiny with almost no decor but very clean. The staff was warm and polite. On to the best part: the massage was out of this world. I'd recommend Kathy, she applies the perfect amount of strength and sensitivity for the perfect pressure and her kneading and gliding techniques left me feeling unblocked and energized. And at the end, they use a warm, hot towel to wipe off the oil. Not knowing what to expect, I went with the one hour massage but I must say I'll up this to ninety minutes next time as it was an amazing massage and best of all a great value. $75 for 60 minutes for a great massage in the city is pretty tough to top. Thanks Dancing Fingers, I can now say I've found my go to spot for massages in Chicago...I'll be back soon! read more

I wish there were 6 stars! I went to see Eva (massage therapists) for the first time yesterday. I have had a Massage Envy membership for 15 years and have about 15 free massages to use, but after seeing good reviews on YELP here and desperate for a healing massage for my chronic pain, I decided to try Dancing Fingers. (I also liked that they offer cupping which I've heard is great for pain and clearing toxins.) I can tell you I've had many massages in my life at top resorts and spas all in my effort to help chase this pain I live with. Eva was not just a masseuse but a healer! She knew exactly which spots I needed focus on and was able to really treat my pain. I left feeling like a new person! I'll be going back weekly to really reset and get my body, mind, and spirit back to health. They truly use a different technique that works wonders. I was a walk-in today Wed 7/31 at about 3pm and got in right away. I got a female therapist and she was nice but it took a little while for her to believe me that I wanted a deep deep massage. Cost ($75/hr) was a little higher than I am used to paying in NYC ($40/hr). I think the chain massage is probably the best deal at $1/min. Next time I will try that instead. My massage was decent and was actually pretty good and I was sad when it ended. Place is clean and I would go back again--but this time for a chair massage. read more
