This review is way overdue. A year ago, I developed horrible skin issues. Knowing most prescription medications have side effects, I opted for all OTC ointments I can find, and none helped. Then, looking at local reviews on Yelp, I stumbled on Lee's Herbs Acupuncture. Dr. Li was prompted in returning my initial phone call to discuss my symptoms and I was able to set up an appointment next day. Upon examining my skin, it was determined I have allergies to certain food I eat. My work-related stress level was also a main contributor to the severity of my problems. With no other alternatives, I decided to try acupuncture and drink Chinese herbal tea for the first time. I took the opportunity of my weekly acupuncture sessions to relax and clear my mind. Drinking the herbal tea daily, on the other hand, was not a pleasant experience even though it helped my issues tremendously. By adding honey as Dr. Li suggested made it bearable. In addition to giving up seafood and spicy foods, I also started using baby shampoo/lotion since most adult beauty products contain harmful chemicals. Five months after my treatment, I am happy to say the symptoms have cleared and I am better at managing my stress level. Dr. Li has an amicable bedside manner. I love the fact that he is patient and willing to listen. Never once did I feel rushed. After the treatments I received, I understand why people from out of state to seek his help. I referred two of my friends to Dr. Li. They are still under his care. I must mention Dr. Li does not working with any insurance company since none will accept his claims. Therefore, the cost may be high depending on the treatment. As of Fall of 2021, he no longer has Sunday appointments. The office is located in a busy commercial/residential area. Street parking is the only option. Keep that in mind when booking your appointment. read more

This review is somewhat overdue. I am so happy my business partner recommended me to Dr. Lee. Today I had my second round of acupuncture treatment. Some results and improvements after my second round of acupuncture and herbal remedies is that I am less bloated and I am getting "color" back in my gums and tongue. It was extremely pale when I went for my check up last week. A bit of a background on my condition- I have been extremely anemic for the past few months due to blood loss that this was the first thing the he told me that needs to get corrected. For some odd reason the doctors I have been seeing never really prescribed anything to replenish my ongoing blood loss. Which is the reason why I keep finding myself going through the same cycle each month of never feeling better and going back to the hospital. I am so glad that Dr. Lee didn't bring up that the biggest problem was me being overweight, because it wasn't. I am fully aware that have to loose weight - but he told me the BIGGER problem is me loosing so much blood. I need to get my blood levels back to normal before I can start working out. How can you work out when you're anemic and feel faint all the time? He said this is why I am bloating out because my body is overcompensating for how much blood I've been loosing. So far this past week of following the herbal treatments and having 2 rounds of acupuncture has worked well for me. I have had the BEST, deep sleep ever and I can feel a bit of energy coming back to me. I'd say go for it and try it out! read more

I went in and was refused service (after traveling and spending $$ on street parking) because I was pregnant. I informed him I had a miscarriage last year and he said he would not treat me. He was adamant that I would SUE him if I had a miscarriage. In case you aren't aware, acupuncture during pregnancy is EXTREMELY COMMON AND SAFE. This was genuinely insulting, not to mention upsetting. A pregnant woman who has gone through loss being treated like an untouchable for said loss? Great bedside manner, man. Offered nothing but a fake smile and a head shake and a "certain pregnancies, if you miscarriage, I cannot, because then you will blame me." This is a HEALTHCARE PROVIDER? A HEALER?!!!?? more like a discriminatory coward. Also, and not beside the point, a major language barrier with English speakers. He kept saying "repeated miscarriage" no matter how I corrected him. ***Also since he responded on Google advising me to see an OB I will get out ahead of it here. I mean. Advising me to see an OB? Do I need to tell you, dear Yelper, or might you have guessed, that I have an OB? omg really??? This is laughable. I also don't know where he gets the "recurrent miscarriage" that he doubles down on in his google response, but maybe he just wants to keep saying it until he makes this faulty assumption true? Honestly even if it WAS vaguely ethical to deny service for this reason (my new wonderful acupuncturist at Olive Blossom is happy to see me!), the demeanor and tone here was so horrible. The abrupt headshake, the smirk, the complete unwillingness to explain anything beyond repeating this made-up "recurrent miscarriage" BS... Seriously think twice about coming here if you have any sensitive issues you don't want triggered. I say again--cowardly and unethical, the diametrical opposite of a healer. I mean I am so steamed it almost feels good. This was 100% baldfaced BAD HEALING. read more

I came to Dr. Li with mobility issues and horrible pain due to sciatica and the overall effects of prolonged stress. He is very patient and explains everything he is doing step by step. After the first acupuncture treatment I felt immediate relief. My regular doctors wanted to prescribe muscle relaxers and pain medication to treat me. I wanted an alternative method to treat the causes rather than symptoms. Dr. Li provided exactly that! Dr. Li is a humble, honest, and talented doctor. His care for patients is evident and I felt very comfortable and peaceful in his presence. From our first consultation I knew right away I was in the right office with the right medical professional. His bedside manner is caring and empathetic. I will continue to visit Dr. Li as I feel very blessed to have found comfort and relief during these stressful times. His rates are unbeatable and according to his level of experience and education he could be charging a lot more. Please do yourself a favor and visit his website and read for yourself about Dr. Li. His story is amazing from Kenya to Vietnam he has traveled the world to help others. https://www.leeherbs.com/about read more

Tennis elbow issue was going on for months with no relief on sight, so I wanted to give it a try with acupuncture. Coming to Dr. Lee was my best decision ever! After just a few treatments pain and overall discomfort literally vanished. The key elements that contributed to successful treatment were, in fact, Dr's knowledge and care. Five stars are not enough reward in this case. read more

As winter is setting in I could feel my psoriasis starting to get worse, especially on my scalp. Instead of going to my dermatologist and getting a new cream I decided to try something new. I am three treatment in and so far I am incredibly happy. The itching and flakes have subsided. The problem spots are less red and angry. Some of the spots on my scalp and even hard to find! Dr Li is warm and personable, I will recommend him to anyone who wants to make an investment in their health. If you have never been to acupuncture before this is not a quick fix. It will take time and money to see results. I am so happy I have found him! Thank you Dr. Li. read more

This is my first acupuncture experience. I'm now headed into my 3rd session. I came in because of lower back inflammation/soreness that I've experienced for about a year now. Dr. Lee was warm and professional from the very beginning. He did a full consultation and review before providing his recommendation. I notice progressive changes with each session. I've also noticed a positive difference in how I sleep and in my overall stress levels. I look forward to continuing treatment with Dr. Lee and his office. read more

I'd highly recommend Dr. Lee and his services. I'd been suffering from an allergic reaction to some products at work. I'm a licensed nail tech and had developed CAD some years ago but until recently I hadn't had any issues. I went to see what acupuncture could do and after only two treatments there has been significant improvement. I have 4 more weeks to go in the treatment plan and am looking forward to it. I'm so glad I fund Dr. Lee and grateful that it's right in my neighborhood. It only takes me 3 minutes to walk sheen to his office! Thank you Dr. Lee - Cherie Bates read more

Dr. Lee is very brilliant and experienced! I was on crutches from spraining my foot and toes, and he got me to almost 100% mobility with one tui na session. I also got acupuncture on my backside, which relieved back and hip pain from postpartum and mild scoliosis. I'm going back in for a follow-up--Dr. Lee is the real deal. read more

Dr. Lee is the real deal! I had several very bad insect bites that just would not heal and it was also affecting my skin condition overall. The usual western prescription of various steroid creams was just making the situation even worse. I had read so many great reviews about Dr Lee on Yelp that I made an appointment. He is very kind, listens, is supportive and is obviously extremely knowledgeable with I think some 30 years of experience. He diagnosed the problem right away including a yin deficiency which he's treating as the overall path to better health. That is his way. He not only addresses your specific problem, but your overall health working to balance your overall system. With the treatments and the herbs he prescribed my bites healed up within a week, overall my skin is so much better, and in the two months I have been seeing him I feel better than I ever have. If you are suffering like I was with problems your other doctor just could not solve try to Dr Lee. You won't regret it. read more

Symptoms can vary from skin hives to joint aches to just fatigue. After just one acupuncture session I felt relief in areas I was not expecting. Dr. Lee was great and knew the answers to all of my questions and his wife and I had a great conversation about what it means to be healthy. She had a very enlightened outlook on everything health related and I was very impressed. I came in with some severe back pain that has plagued me fo the 4th time now. I couldn't walk, sit, or sleep without any shooting pain throughout my lower back and left leg. After a very quick check up from Dr. Lee, he determined the right treatment and in no time, I was getting my first acupuncture treatment. I am not a fan of needles, but Dr. Lee was great at calming my nerves and as it started, I couldn't even feel the needles. Needless to say, I have found my Dr. for whatever ails me.
