I had a cream puff, an eclair and a fruit tart and they were all fabulous. Sweet but not too much and the pastries were perfectly flaky. Also, the cream puff was way better than Beard Papa. Nice, clean modern place and the lady who waited on me was lovely. If you like baked goods, go here!

We stopped by and when you enter, the smell inside is absolutely heavenly. I don't think I have ever entered such a wonderful smelling bakery. We were greeted by the sweetest female employee who was patient with us while we were trying to decide what to get. It was still really early so we weren't super hungry for sweets so we got a cream puff each. I got the pandan one while my boyfriend got the regular one. They were absolutely perfection, the filling was super yummy! I want to come back to try their other flavors. The macarons looked amazing and they have quite the selection as well as their cupcakes too. I will have to stop by more to get some more sweet treats. They have cakes too or you can order them as long as you give a few days heads up. They have a counter top to enjoy your sweets right away. They also have napkins just in case as well. They don't offer crafted drinks but had a few drinks in their fridge.

For a moment, I almost forgot I was in Washington. And finally, a café that understands the concept of personal space! Comfortable seating, proper tables, and enough room to enjoy your food without accidentally joining the conversation at the next table. Apparently, that's becoming a luxury these days. We went for the pancake and waffle platter, which looked like someone had gathered every sweet temptation imaginable and decided to throw a party. Mini pancakes, waffles, strawberries, bananas, chocolate and pistachio sauces. Quite the presentation! We also tried the chicken sandwich for a little savory balance, because apparently we needed to convince ourselves this was a proper meal and not a dessert marathon. A special shout-out to the staff, who were genuinely friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The kind of service that makes the whole experience even better. Overall, Venus Café checks a lot of boxes: nostalgic vibes, lovely atmosphere, spacious seating, and wonderful hospitality. Will I be back? Absolutely. My only concern is that the menu has too many things I want to try, and my stomach hasn't agreed to the expansion plans yet.

Only reason why I lowered my rating is because of what I get when I order DoorDash delivery…read more I only live down the street but sometimes when I'm in my pjs and it's late I just want my dessert to be delivered. So I always order the Dubai chocolate strawberry cup that comes with bananas. If you noticed the ones I've ordered in the past it came with banana. But when I order DoorDash delivery, not only is it not a full cup, but it's missing bananas. Happened three times now. If they stopped adding bananas then that's a different story, but I pay extra when I order delivery, including tip. So I'm expecting to have the same service as when I'm in person. When I'm in person they all have great service, kind people. So I know they work hard, but I'm wondering why it's different for delivery when we pay more. ?

I walked out hand-released into a new dimension of flavor, texture, and spiritual clarity. The moment you enter, the scent alone performs a full-body hand release on your soul. Cardamom, sesame, and dreams swirl in the air like edible incense. The décor? A cozy blend of Anatolian charm and deli swagger. I felt like I'd been hand-released from Seattle drizzle into Istanbul sunshine. Let's talk food: * The simit? A sesame-crusted halo of joy. One bite and I hand-released my skepticism about circular carbs. * The börek? Layers of pastry so delicate, I whispered "hand release" with every chew. * The lamb pide? A canoe of savory perfection that hand-released me from all previous notions of pizza. * And the baklava? Oh sweet mercy. It was a honey-soaked hand release into dessert nirvana. I considered legally changing my name to Pistachio. Non-Turks, non-locals, non-delicates--this place is for YOU. Turkish Bakery & Deli is a hand release from bland sandwiches and sad pastries. It's a flavor embassy where every bite is a diplomatic mission of delight. You don't need to know what sucuk is. Just trust the spice and let the hand release happen. The tea? Served in tulip glasses that practically chant "hand release" in Turkish. I sipped, I sighed, I forgave my ex. The staff? Warm, witty, and fluent in the language of joy. One of them hand-released a tray of delights onto my table and I nearly proposed. Go. Eat. Hand release your palate. Let Turkish Bakery & Deli show you what flavor diplomacy really means.

Cafe Seoul is a Korean cafe located in Federal Way in a plaza across from The Commons…read more Surprisingly, this was my first time stepping foot inside Cafe Seoul even though I frequent this area. My boyfriend and I had a long day planned ahead of us. So, we decided a fix of caffeine to start our day. I ordered the Hojicha Latte, and my boyfriend ordered the Affogato (vanilla soft serve with two shots of espresso). This was his first time ever ordering an affogato. After I questioned his choice of having ice cream for breakfast, he still went for the drink. He was surprised there was more soft serve ice cream than coffee, but I knew this would be the case. Nonetheless, he actually enjoyed it and has now incorporated making affogatos at home pretty regularly. The cafe is cute and has a nice selection of different drinks to order from coffees, teas, and matchas. There are also sweet treats like bingsu and croffles!

I'm generally a latte person, so I went with the Matcha Pandan, and I thought it was pretty good! Most of my family was specifically craving ice cream, though, so they went for the soft serve. They have a few different drinks and desserts to choose from, making it a convenient place when everyone wants something a little different. My biggest gripe is the space (really, the lack thereof). We were a party of seven, and Cafe Seoul is extremely small and cramped inside. Seating is very limited, and we couldn't really sit together until some people left and others were kind enough to share or give up chairs. There were also a few students hanging out when we visited, so I definitely wouldn't count on this being a comfortable sit-down spot if you're coming with a larger group. The layout doesn't help much either. The menu and some of the seating are awkwardly positioned near the bathroom, and at certain points you're basically squeezing past people just to get around. For a quick drink or dessert, it's manageable, but I wouldn't personally choose this as somewhere to settle in and hang out for a long time with a big party. If you manage to snag enough seats, consider yourself lucky. Service was okay. It took a while for everyone's orders to come out, and unfortunately one of ours was completely missed. We eventually realized it hadn't even been included in the original transaction, so we had to go back up and pay for it separately. Nothing that ruined the night, but between that and the wait, service wasn't necessarily a highlight either. Cafe Seoul gets the job done and meets standard expectations. My Matcha Pandan was tasty, my family got their late-night soft serve fix, and being open later than your average coffee shop is a bonus. I wouldn't go significantly out of my way for it, but if I'm ever back in Federal Way and craving a late-night latte or dessert, I'd consider stopping by again.
