Milk & Pull has become a staple in my life due to covid. Ordering online is super easy and they have alternative milks for those of us that are sensitive to the cow-sourced stuff. They've recently reopened their food service menu and they also have pastries available. I've yet to order a bagel but the pecan and cinnamon rolls never disappoint. My typical order of a mocha with oat milk is consistently good. When you order online and tell them you have an order for pickup, they make your drink on the spot so it's served fresh, which is a plus for me. read more

I've had tea and lattes from this spot and they never disappoint. Made exactly the way my tastebuds always appreciate. However, the customer service is off putting. I called to place an order and they said they couldn't take it over the phone, and directed me to the website. I placed the order online and to my surprise they don't start making your order until you arrive which really defeats the purpose of ordering online. When you get to the window it's not a warm welcome but rather a cold shoulder and the undeniable feeling that you're interrupting something more important. read more

I love the menu at Milk + Pull. In addition to your typical coffee and espresso options, they have some deliciously creative breakfast sandwiches and bagels. My favorite is the "everything on everything". Doesn't get any better than that. An everything bagel PLUS avocado, red onion, cream cheese and tomato? Yes please! Shout out to Milk + Pull. Good coffee and chai latte. Spacious for working on laptop but the only con here is that they dont really have alot of sockets for charging. Only one in the corners as far as I can find in the cafe. This is a review of the new location near the Utica station. Drinks and food are the same, but the price hike to compensate for the new location is egregious. The "Roasted Bush" was $9.50, it's now $12. They charge $5 for turkey vs. $2 (and it's the same measly amount), $7 vs. $5 drinks, and so on. The space is nice, but the staff is not. Again, they boast Black-owned business, but there were only white baristas when I went, and the one who helped me was rude. Just a big disappointment. read more

So I'm renting in the neighborhood and find a black-owned coffee shop nearby. I'm always excited to keep the dollars circulating in our community, so I walk to milk & pull. Much to my surprise, of the 6 employees present, all were white except for one which might have been Hispanic/possibly white. To be in the heart of Bedstuy where the majority of ppl I see are black, it's ridiculous that the business in that neighborhood didn't reflect that. It's also highly insulting that they are benefiting from these black-owned lists and markers that right now are bringing more business. To understand why the label of being black-owned is so important (fighting marginalization, increasing visibility, creating jobs and not just opportunities to be consumers, circulating the dollar within the community), is to understand the importance of what that means for black ppl being employed in their own neighborhoods. Not sure if this is the only location like this, but if you're looking to support a black-owned coffee shop that practices what comes with being a black-owned anything, this is not the place. read more

I asked for a dirty chi. As the barista said "Three times a charm." But it wasn't. $8.00 coffee and I didn't get what I asked for. I asked for very lite ice. One person took my order and put light ice. The person who made the coffee added more ice forgot the, Shot and the cinnamon. She made it again and poured way too much cinnamon! She just didn't care about what I wanted. When I told her it was to much cinnamon she said that's the way they make them! She eventually gave me a cup not filled to the top‍‍! She rushed from behind the counter to sit with someone. Kicking it was more important than service. On the way out I told her "it still isn't $8.00 dollars worth of coffee. She said, "well don't come back." I replied I won't! Short, very short hair Asian girl. Didn't get her name because she wasn't the friendliest! Eh, not great. The coffee I got was really burnt and bitter, same with my friend's cappuccino.... We ended up taking the drinks back to the apartment and adding so much sugar and cream to kinda choke them down. The decor is nice, wifi works, but if I can't drink the coffee from a coffee shop, I won't be back. read more

This place is incognito-if you don't follow googlemaps closely, you might just miss it as it has no discernible signage on a chilly frosty night. Spacious, great music, all types of coffee, tea and cafe nouveau food (if u get there at least an hour before closing) and pastries by bien cuit. What I love is the spaciousness and airiness of the space- great for a low key rendezvous or to hang out for a couple hours on your labtop. read more

Been really excited to try this cafe. I got a different drink than I ordered and when I told the barista, she seemed really annoyed and inconvenienced that I would have even brought it up. I used to come here and work for a few hours out of the week. The coffee is good, a bit over priced, but I didn't NOT expect that. I've never tried the food as I'm just not a big bagel or avocado toast person lol. However, I saw a complaint about the customers service and that was baffling. Every time I've gone I have had an amazing experience with one lady and one guy. They usually work their shifts together. Great team work from them both! My ONLY issue is that they only have 1-3 outlets for computer usage. It makes it very difficult to work at full capacity when you won't even have the juice to keep your computer running. After coming to Milk & Pull nearly every day since we moved here, I was surprised to read so many lackluster reviews - the coffee here is great, the music is fantastic, it's bright and spacious inside (great for working), and it's a rare occasion if my husband or I receive anything other than super-friendly service. For those of you complaining that someone left their empty cups behind, just move them to the counter - is it that hard? And if you're in a rush on your way to work at exactly the same time that everyone else in the neighborhood is stopping for coffee on their way to the train, and you see a line that goes to the door just like there would be at any other half-decent coffee shop, just don't stop in. And for the person complaining about "hardcore non-radio rap," wth is "radio rap?" Do we really need to be listening to top 40 every waking minute? read more

I don't like this coffee shop. I've tried multiple drinks and they're all subpar and overpriced. There are no outlets in the entire place....like that's a pretty important staple of a coffee shop. Not a fan. It's beautifully decorated but the customer service is slow and the hardcore non radio friendly rap was rather off putting. The barista was dismissive and waited for me to find that last quarter before she would even begin my drink. She never mentioned that it was done, I just noticed it sitting alone on the counter and assumed it was mine as no one else was there at the time. She just made the lukewarm drink and walked away. They sell coffee and coffee accessories. I love their cold brew, but if I'm feeling calorically splurgey, you can't go wrong with an iced latte or iced chai. They have pastries and mineral water. A quiet airy space to relax or work on your novel or whatever it is people do with laptops at coffee places. They sell beans and French presses and cold brew contraptions if you're more DIY about coffee. Staff is always nice but not overly chatty. read more

I have a lot of thoughts about milk and pull. I came here to get some work done, read a book etc, and I think that that was a mistake. I'll start with a basic review: I got an almond milk latte and plain bagel. The latte was really good, the bagel was something i could've gotten from any bodega on the street, and they just handed it to me cold which was kinda odd but it's a bagel so itwas good regardless. the latte - a little more room temp than i'd like, nothing to rave about but it was solidly good. The vibe of the place - the music is loud. this is a place to come with friends when you want to hang out and catch up and listen to a playlist that goes from travis scott to fleeteood mac. but that is not ideal for college apps. it was also less cozy than other coffee shops in the area. ultimately, I think it's a cool place with really nice staff, but in a certain context that didn't happen to be what I was looking for this morning. Also: no outdoor seating but a lot of indoor seating and solid wifi. read more

Adorable cafe not far from Utica A/C subway stop. My favorite thing is that it has a cozy wallpaper design and nice greenery/plants accenting the space. The two guys working today (Saturday late afternoon) were friendly, and one even obliged taking a photo of me and my brother whom I had not seen in a while - and was very friendly. I have seen it busy at 9AM on weekdays, but thankfully today I had room to just chat with my brother over tea and it was a super pleasant visit. The only other time I came, I ordered a Chai Latte which is Dona Chai brand for those who like that flavor. A nice addition to the Bed Stuy area. read more

This coffeeshop is generally great. The assortment of coffee, bagels and sandwiches is very good. However, they are inconsistent. There are many times on the weekends that they do not open on time...or not yet ready to fully serve once they do open. If you're running a business, you need to be on your game. Be ready and able to serve your customers according to your hours. The attitude of some of the staff members could also be improved. ugh to be honest, ive lived in brooklyn for 5 years and out of all of the bagel places ive been to- this is just my favorite hands down. The roasted bush bagel is fckn delicious ( i usually sub cucumber for the tomato) and that chipotle sauce is just perfect. everyone is always super friendly as well. Great local coffee shop with a beautiful mural with a nod to Bed Stuy. The coffee is plentiful and so are the pastries though admittedly some staff stand around a moment before getting your order complete. It's almost like...use your own product and get a move on.
