Her website showed some pretty incredible transformations so I put in my info for more information. I got a call back the next day to schedule my consultation. The fee for the consult rolls into whatever treatment you choose. I brought my husband with me, as I knew this was probably going to be a significant investment, and Shanna made us feel right at home. We talked together about my options, and then one of her clients agreed to talk to us about her experience as well. I felt totally comfortable with the option I picked, and Shanna was not pushy at all in upselling more expensive pieces. Everyone there is DILIGENT with wearing masks, wiping things down, and having hand sanitizer available, so no worries there. Once my piece was ready, I went in for the install. This is the first time I wore hair, and it was very overwhelming, but Shanna and Jeni are so encouraging, it really made it fun. I had some issues with that first piece (to be expected as it wasn't custom, but semi-custom), and Jeni touched base with me several times to make sure I was happy with it and to take notes on any changes that needed to be made the next install. Since the cap was a little too big for my head, I had some lifting at the hairline, but Shanna fit me in for a quick touch up at the very last minute as I was leaving town. She also did a quick trim to shorten it slightly and blend better with my own hair. The next time I went in was to remove the first hair piece and install the second. Shanna requires you buy two so that your piece is ready to go when you get there. No waiting to clean adhesive off the first and get it ready, which is nice and not something I would have thought about. It takes an hour or so for removal. This time Jeni had altered the cap so that it fit my head better. It's been a few weeks now, and I just love my new hair! This is an expensive process. Both buying the hair and the upkeep. But if you are finally ready to do something that works and makes you look and feel great immediately, it is totally worth it. And Shanna really goes out of her way to make it a fun, supportive atmosphere. She won't pressure you to get more than you need, and she'll be honest about what will work and what won't for you. I showed Melanie an old picture of MYSELF, not someone from Pinterest or Google, MYSELF. It has been a month since I emailed Gabrielle's regarding a refund and radio silence. I NEVER received a response - my email was completely ignored - which seems to be a pattern with Gabrielle's customer service. The picture I showed Melanie was a picture of me with shoulder length hair. I went into the salon with 95% dry hair because every knowledgeable hair stylist knows you can't cut curly hair wet, but Melanie decided to wet it before cutting it. I was hesitant, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt because I had gotten my hair cut by multiple stylists at this salon over the past six and a half years. When she was done, my hair was the length I requested, so I paid (and tipped) and left. When I got home and my hair had dried, that is when I noticed that she had cut so much hair off that my hair was CHIN length. She had cut my hair into a French bob. In my experience, I usually give my curls about a week to settle after a hair cut. Even after a week, my curls had in fact not settled and I am stuck with a haircut that I HATE. I NEVER expected that I would have an experience with this salon since I had been a customer since 2016. I have recommended this place to another person who has also been a paying customer at Gabrielle's. I put a lot of trust and faith in Gabrielle's and Melanie Amos and was let down 100%. A month later, and I still had not heard back and still HATED my haircut. If you are looking for a salon with knowledgeable and professional stylists and employees, I would keep searching and steer clear from Gabrielle's.

I did the one year plan for $4400 which includes one visit a month. Staff was very elusive in showing the progress. They took pictures periodically but never would show the before and after pictures. I also bought a recommended laser cap from the internet for $1600 so total cost was $6000. The people treating your hair are just glorified salon hair cutters. They are not medically licensed so keep that in mind. Don't waste your money.
