0 stars if I could…read more My experience with Luxe & Lace Bridal and owner Katelynn Drum was one of the most stressful experiences I have ever had as a bride. I purchased a Josette by Justin Alexander wedding dress in June 2025 for my September 2026 wedding. At the time, the store was Bellevue Bridal. I was never informed that after moving to Seattle, the store had lost its contract to sell Justin Alexander dresses. When I picked up my dress on May 1, 2026, I immediately knew something was wrong. It did not match the sample I purchased--the fabric felt cheaper, the bodice cups were asymmetrical, it was uncomfortable, and it lacked features of the authentic dress, including built-in bra support. I raised my concerns and asked to see the correct sample for comparison, but was told I could not. My concerns were dismissed, and I was even told I might be remembering the dress incorrectly. Panicking, I contacted Justin Alexander himself that same day. The next day, my mother-in-law and I went to another Seattle bridal store to see the authentic Josette sample. After confirming my concerns, we went to Luxe & Lace to confront Katelynn. This was when I first learned the store had lost its Justin Alexander contract. Justin Alexander's team subsequently reviewed my dress and confirmed it was counterfeit and lacked the required Justin Alexander tags and identifying features. I immediately requested a refund, but Katelynn never responded. I was forced to file a small claims case against Luxe & Lace and Katelynn personally. One week before my wedding, I had to go to court and present my evidence. The court entered a judgment in my favor for the cost of the dress. The case and judgment are now public record. It has been nearly a month since the judgment. Katelynn received a copy but has not acknowledged it or paid the judgment. I have also spoken with other brides who have experienced issues with this business and have personally seen documentation that contradicts statements made in some of Katelynn's responses to negative reviews. I am aware of more than 10 brides reporting issues and at least one other small claims case involving the store. If you have ordered a dress from Luxe & Lace, verify directly with the designer that your dress was actually ordered and request documentation. Do not rely solely on verbal assurances. A wedding dress is a major purchase, and brides deserve honesty and transparency. Unfortunately, that was not my experience with Luxe & Lace Bridal.

I didn't purchase my dress at Drea K, but I went to her for alterations because I wanted someone who could go above and beyond basic alterations. As you can see, there was a lot that needed to be done for the dress to be more flattering. Dora and Andrea have some of the best customer service I have ever received! They were extremely accommodating with my insane schedule. They were honest and upfront about the total cost of alterations. This place is NOT cheap, but it IS worth it. This is not an alterations studio, she is a designer and dressmaker and has an amazing eye for how things should fit the female body. This is exactly what I was looking for. Drea K provided me with the confidence and beauty that every bride deserves on their wedding day! I felt amazing and beautiful on my wedding day. My husband was shocked at how fancy my dress was! Andrea and Dora are so amazing. I can't wait to take my dress back to Andrea so we can turn it into a fun cocktail dress for many years to come!

Review for alterations consult only!…read more I came in for an alterations consult on my wedding dress the other day. The shop is VERY cute, very professional, and has tons of dresses to choose from. I did not buy my dress from here, so this is related to only alterations. The gal that helped me was very kind and knowledgeable. It was a great experience, but the pricing was out of this world. I've gotten 2 other quotes for my gown at $350-$400, and they quoted me $1150 which is well over what I even paid for the dress. I'm not suggesting that they don't know what they are doing or are not skilled or that their time is not worth payment, simply that I think it is way overpriced in comparison to other alterations places. They definitely know what they are doing and am 100% confident my dress would be perfect if I chose them, just be prepared for sticker shock if you go here first.

I would NOT recommend the Bellevue Eltsa Bridal for your wedding dress!!! I took a leap of faith…read morewith Eltsa Bellevue based on the Greenlake reputation and felt like it was an uphill battle for my 7 weeks of alterations. I originally had a size 8 dress that Marina said was too tight to do any alterations to and apparently had no extra inseam material to work with (which was totally fine, I trusted her). I immediately ordered a new dress in size 12 to provide the proper amount of material she needed to work with, as she requested. Week after week I noticed little progress being made in the dress, even after expressing that the dress was a fit-and-flare/trumpet shape (also showing pictures of the dress from the designer's website, see first picture below). It was oversized and had no shape to it-- completely A-line shape instead of fitted. At week 5, she told me the next appointment would be my pick-up appointment and it looked like a sack (second picture below). When I expressed my concern for the dress looking A-line, with no shape that it was intended to have, she insisted there was nothing she could do to tailor the dress more. There was "nothing more to take in" even thought you could grab about an inch of extra material along my hips and there was plenty to take in down the thigh and back seams. I would call this out to her but she would dismiss me, and since I am not a seamstress, I trusted her. There were also instances where I felt gaslit into the dress being fine, for example, I pointed out the neckline was uneven from her tailoring and she would say she didn't see the unevenness. I had to be very firm and explicit in order to get things fixed, and even after I took my dress home, I still noticed some of the boning issues in the bodice weren't fully fixed. But I was exhausted at that point. I had to call Margo from Greenlake to come in and help because Marina was so resistant to helping. I was literally crying about how disappointed and sad I felt about my dress. Margo immediately knew what to do and my dress was transformed to my original request/the original shape of the dress. I was so happy with how it turned out after that but it was frustrating and disappointing to experience Marina's hesitation, resistance, and lack of understanding to fix the dress to help it fit my body. You will notice the dress is very simple with only one layer underneath. I'm surprised it was this difficult to accomplish with Marina but am grateful for Margo at Greenlake. Worth the drive to Greenlake for a better experience with your wedding dress!! Even with all the inconvenience, I still paid over $1100 and was charged for work that was done incorrectly. Definitely a learning experience but you only need a wedding dress once!!! Do it right with someone else. The first picture is my dress from the designer website. She "finished" my dress in time for her November vacation, but when I picked it up, there were a few things I was really unhappy with, which I'll list below. First, I will mention that I called Marina at the end of Sept for my mid-Nov wedding. 1. When I first called, she mentioned that she takes the entire month of Nov off, so the dress HAD to be finished before 10/31, which she said she could do, based on what I needed altered. (straps taken in, bodice/bust fitted to my size, high-slit added on one side, and bustle). After a few readjustment fittings, it seemed a little like she was rushing toward the end of the month, and she didn't exactly do/complete everything I wanted. 2. Besides the strap length and high slit, the biggest alteration needed on my dress was the bust size. The bust had boning and was FAR too large for my natural size. I asked her if she could adjust/fix it to fix my body, and she essentially said NO! She recommended adding padded sticky cups to fill it out, (which I did), but it STILL left a big gap at certain angles, and just looked far too large for my natural shape. This was the thing I disliked the most about my dress. A highly skilled seamstress would have been able to adjust this, and I feel like Marina said no because of her time constraints, and my opinion is that is a dishonest practice. 3. I picked up the dress around Oct 30th, and didn't realize it until after she was closed for November, but my dress was completely missing the hook clasp at the back!!! luckily the zipper went all the way up, so it didn't look horrible, but not having it on my wedding day meant the dress wasn't quite as secure/fitted as it should have been. I was really upset about it for a moment on my wedding day.. When all was said and done, I still found a way to feel great on my wedding day, but these adjustments would have gone MILES to help me feel more beautiful and stress free. I paid nearly $1k in alteration fees, and still really didn't get the dress exactly as I wanted. I almost wish I hadn't used venmo. TLDR: It seemed like Marina cared more about getting a client in/out than helping me feel my absolute best on my wedding day. If you just need basic adjustments (hem, straps), Eltsa Bridal and Marina could be a great option for you. If your dress needs more complex adjustments, go to a more skilled seamstress, as the cost will end up the same.

I brought my sister to Grace Loves Lace expecting a special and memorable experience, but what we got was the complete opposite. Before the appointment, I spoke with two different people to make sure everything was set, yet when we arrived, our bridal consultant was completely unprepared, disorganized, and honestly, a mess. She seemed far more focused on pushing a sale than actually helping my sister find a dress she loved. From the start, she barely listened to my sister's preferences and kept picking dresses that didn't match her vision. Instead of making her feel special, she made her feel pressured and dismissed. My sister--who should have been having one of the most exciting moments of her life--ended up leaving in tears because she felt unheard and rushed into a decision she wasn't comfortable with. What made it even worse was looking around the boutique and seeing two other brides having wonderful experiences with their consultants. They were smiling, laughing, and clearly being listened to, while my sister was treated like an afterthought. It was confusing and frustrating to watch because it proved that the boutique is capable of delivering the kind of service we expected--but unfortunately, not with the consultant we were given. And let's talk about professionalism--because there was none. Our consultant showed up looking completely disheveled, with dog hair all over her clothes which made it impossible to take her seriously. First impressions matter, and if she had carried herself with even a little more effort and professionalism, this experience might have gone in a completely different direction. At the end of the day, we left without a dress--not because my sister didn't find one she could have loved, but because the consultant made the experience so uncomfortable and impersonal that she didn't even want to say "yes" to anything. I truly hope management takes a hard look at who they have representing their boutique because no bride should be made to feel like this on such an important day.
