We haven't been here in a while but wanted to try a spot that wasn't our usual. We were greeted almost immediately and patio wasn't full but it was a little while before we got seated. Hubby got the fish tacos with a side of their house made kale caesar salad and I wanted to try their steak sandwich with a side of their kale caesar salad. The fish tacos were great and hubby couldn't stop raving about them. The steak sandwich was full of flavour and very juicy. I got mine with rare steak. I did not like their kale salad. There was just too much sauce for my liking. I prefer my caesar salad more on the simple side. The service was a little slow but staff were nice. read more

I came here at 9pm and was pleased that the kitchen hadnt closed. The place was boiling hot and we were told they had to order a part to fix the ac and it would take a few weeks. The bathrooms were not the cleanest. I had a beet salad and cauliflower wings and although good the salad was lacking actual spinach so I was rather disappointed it was 75% beets I got very sick the next day but I'm unsure if this place was why so overall 3 star read more

All Milestones restaurants are not made equal. I usually go to the Milestones downtown and I've never had a bad meal there. Something is off about this location. I ordered the salmon dish and it left much to be desired. The salmon tasted like freezer burned fish that was thawed in a microwave and cooked. Aside from that they have a wasp infestation on the outside patio that made the dining experience super uncomfortable. On a good note, our server was really pleasant. read more

My wife and I got a babysitter to finally go out and enjoy a meal out and so we decided to go to the milestones and Landsdowne park. Unfortunately the service we received was not up to par. Our server took about 15 minutes to come to the table to take our drink orders, but by that time we had decided what we wanted to eat. So she took our order and we didn't see her again. My wife ordered a glass of wine and the runner didn't even bring her a wine glass to pour her wine into. Strike #1 Then we got our appetizers from another runner which was fine, but after 5 minutes of eating they brought our main courses!!!! We didn't even have space on our table for our plates. It wasn't even our server. It was another runner who could even remember to bring a steak knife and when I said thank after she brought the knife I got attitude when she said your welcome. Strike #2 and #3. The food was actually awesome. Nothing wrong with the food, but the service was terrible. Do you even tip a waitress who hasn't even brought your food out?! We literally saw her twice. When she took our orders and when we had to pay. Needless to say we will not be returning. You would also expect our parking ticket to be validated after spending over $100 but sure enough they don't even do that. To sum up... food was good, service was terrible. Went to Ottawa for the day and I wanted to grab a bite to eat before driving back to Montreal. We walked around and because we don't have Milestones in QC I figured I would try something new. It was very busy and we did not have a reservation but thankfully we only waited 15 min to get a table and glad it was a very spacious corner booth. Got a caesar and my boyfriend took a beer to start with. Food was very tasty!!!!! Took a crab lettuce wrap to start and it was good but could have put a bit more crab in it but still pretty good appetizer. I would have given them 5 stars but my boyfriend ask for a medium steak and we got the ends medium but the rest was pretty rare. The steak portion is also small. I took the stacked chicken parmesan and it was out of this world and very big portion. No room for dessert so I didn't try any this time The waitress we had was very friendly and super efficient. She was put of this world good...keep up the amazing work you made our night!!!! read more

One of the better Milestones in the city. Sat on the bar side, booths are very roomy, loved the dark decor. Ordered the veggie burger as a main, and still cannot get it out of my mind. It was super tasty, loaded with avocado, red pepper relish (which was ah-mazing!) lettuce, tomato, onion and their signature sauce. It was one of the tastier veggie burgers that I have had at a restaurant and would 100% recommend. Fries were properly seasoned and were tasty, although a little soggy, but edible. The hubby ordered the Cajun Shrimp Creole, which he said was great. Others at the table ordered the chicken club and mediterranean chicken. Only complaints about the chicken club was the bread was very thick and again, the fries were soggy. Was told the med chicken needed more kick. We did order some drinks and starters, bellini was good, garlic bread was OK (got the idea that maybe it was microwaved), and calamari was good. Service was good, only complaint was that our server was sitting at another table throughout out the night with friends/family in eye sight of our table. Although she did check in throughout the night, and made sure we had water/drinks, it did come across as unproffesional. Strongly suggest a reservation as it did get busier around 6:30-7ish on a weeknight. (they take bookings online, which is great). If you are looking for a more romantic setting, I suggest the dinning side, otherwise the bar side is more laid back, with plenty of tv's and rustic tables. read more

Great service here for opening night of Star Wars. Made the reso 4 days in advance for 5 people. Two more joined us and there was no problem to switch tables. We arrived at 5 with plenty of time to enjoy a pre-show meal. Staff were really pleasant and accommodating. They checked on us often but not too often. I ordered my fave dish: the smoked salmon charcuterie platter. The capers were missing and so the server brought them asap along with extra cream cheese at no charge. My husband doesn't like milestones and finds it over priced. He said his steak want fabulous. It was a generous cut, but just lacklustre. For managing a group of seven with meals and appetizers in a bust December night, the service was prompt and overall the food was good. Everyone else seemed pleased with their meals. We recommend the goat cheese appetizer. It comes with a very generous portion of fig jam and cranberry compote. Most excellent. read more

Order a crispy chicken sandwich no pesto. Another server brought out the order try giving it to another table then ask if we had a chicken burger no pesto. I bit into it and it had pesto on it. Waited for someone to come around to fix it. Server came back out talk to a few other servers final told me they are making me a new burger and I can get a free dessert for my trouble. She came to get our dessert order and refresh our water but spilt some. I be right back to wipe that up. Our dessert came no clean up spill yet. Our bill came 10 min later the spill was still there. I ordered the Portebello Chicken from the main menu. I eat a lot however this was surprisingly filling. The sauce blend was so tasty and the mushrooms were filled with flavors. The garlic was also just right in the noodles. This was the perfect dish to crave my taste buds and hunger. Our waiter was super friendly and awesome while we ate to the environment of the Red Blacks game. Super chique and chill place with an amazing vibe. $21 well spent and would def recommend for friends looking to hang out and have a good time on any night. read more

Made reservations at Milestones last night. We were seated and waited for our server. They were not very busy so we were surprised by how long it was taking. Twenty minutes went by and my husband mentioned it to someone at the front. They were surprised that we hadn't even met our server yet and went to tell someone. At the thirty minute mark we ended up leaving as our daughters were getting fussy and we weren't sure how long we would still have to wait. Our Father's Day dinner ruined, they also don't validate parking so we payed to park for no reason. Also would like to note we saw a couple other customers leave as well and they had been waiting less time then us. We are really disappointed and won't be back. read more

I will rate this a light 2 star. It used to be good but the quality has gone down hill. I ordered a 36$ New York Sirloin Steak with mashed potatoes substituted instead of roasted. It come fairly quickly. The server was nice but forgot a drink order and food order because they didn't write it down. The restaurant was busy so I can forgive that. I ordered the steak medium rare and the first couple bites were good but as I ate more it was obviously undercooked and rare. It was also not properly cooked with white fat on the outside of the steak. The crust was pretty good but it did not make up for a rare steak with white fat. The mashed potatoes were dirty or improperly cleaned because they came out gritty. They were also obviously the roasted potatoes bashed with a spoon. Just not great because they couldn't put in the effort to make mashed potatoes. Ultimately disappointing but a good crust on the steak. read more

Really wanted to sit on a patio and Milestones, other than Crust & Crate, was the only one that was open at Lansdowne. Walked in on a Saturday in the early evening and we seemed to miss the rush because it got seriously busy as the evening went on. I used to work at a restaurant so I'd like to think I'm fairly forgiving with things (a girl ran the wrong food/drink to our table twice -- no big deal to me) but tables that were seated a good amount of time after us got their food considerably faster, and some of them had even been billed and left before we had even received our mains. Although we received an apology for the slowness from the guy that ran our food, our server didn't say anything about it to us. After our calamari appetizer (I've had calamari from a ton of places this one doesn't stand out), I got a burger and my boyfriend got steak & frites. On the first bite of my burger I got its juices running down my arm and the bun started falling apart, it was pretty gross. Funnily enough I've had a better burger for $5 at Warehouse. However, the few bites I tried of my boyfriend's dish were good. I guess for the promotion they were doing that knocked 30% off of select menu items it was worth it, but I probably wouldn't go back. Also this is super minor gripe but they cut the limes in their margaritas weird (in half, which makes them impossible to squeeze). read more

My sister and I had lunch yesterday at Milestones at Lansdowne Park, 325 march Way, in Ottawa. Our waiter, Ross Davies, was very helpful, courteous, and friendly in a professional way. I arrived at opening time (11:30 am) to be sure there would be no problem seating my sister who is in a wheel chair. Ross found a nice table for us. He made a nice coffee for me with a little chocolate to my taste. The Miami Ice was good. So was the Mushroom Soup. My sister and I shared the L&P Vermicelli. The Beignet Donuts were very yummi. Only one small suggestion- Get the WiFi to work at your earliest convenience. I shall return, mainly because of Ross' impeccable service. read more

Word of advice, if you're planning to do a dinner with a large group of 10 or more people and are thinking about coming here be prepared for a long wait cause that's exactly what you're going to get. Booked a reservation for July 2nd at 8PM. Expected to eat and be out of there by 10PM but didn't end up leaving until just a few minutes before 1AM. Had to basically beg for menus to just order and when we finally did order, the food took TWO HOURS to arrive. When it finally did find its way to our table, it was nothing like what we expecting. First off, I love Milestones. I have only been to this location once and I went with my boss who can't have Gluten. They were awesome to explain all the options to her and check with the chef over anything they were unsure about. The waiter was super friendly and the place is really clean and chic looking. The waitress was quick and friendly, and she frequently checked in on us. The place was very busy with Christmas parties so this was really considerate of her. They mistakenly gave me the wrong order which I was totally okay with, but the manager came out and was very apologetic, and even gave me my meal for free. Failed to impress! My wife and I went here on Saturday evening for dinner, with a reservation made. Since the place was virtually empty at 5:45 pm we asked if we could get a booth. We were told we could get a "half a booth", a table with a bench on one side and a chair on the other, hardly call that a booth of any sort. After getting seated at our "half a booth" table I noticed a couple sitting at one of the many empty booths. Thought oh well... Placing our drinks order I ordered a glass of red wine that's on the wine list, was told "sorry we're out of that wine". What??? It's on your wine list and there's an LCBO about 500 meters from you, walking distance. No reason you should be out of stock on any wine on a Saturday night with a store as your neighbor where you can get a few bottles. Smacks of mismanagement. So, now I order a glazed salmon dish, what a waste of $28. Salmon was over cooked and dried out, bock choy was undercooked and minimal portioned. Oh, remember the "can't seat you at a booth but can give you a half a booth..."? Other couples were showing up after us and getting seated in booths! When I questioned that the response was, guess they had a reservation. We had a reservation!!! Will say again, FAILED TO IMPRESS!!! Needless to say, we won't be going back there again.
