    Espresso martini and Caesar.
    Steve M.

We popped in for a couple drinks and a snack following an event and found the atmosphere to be comfortable and the staff to be very pleasant. The Barrel of Nachos is huge, there is a tonne of food on that keg. The espresso martini was delicious and their Caesar is possibly the most flavourful one I've ever had.

Had been recommended that I check out Craft Brunch for some time now as friends said they served a delicious weekend brunch for a very fair price. I had the breakfast poutine with bacon and eggs which was a very good size and very delicious - I'm often disappointed by these dishes as they tend to serve you way too much food and you get uncomfortably full after it but this was the perfect size. My boyfriend had the huevos rancheros which were very traditional and also delicious! Very good service and great location right in the heart of Landsdowne!

Salt and Pepper wings (side of hot sauce)

Overall: A good spot to hit up pre-RedBlacks or Fury for some standard food and large drink selection Food: We tried the Chicken Sandwich and the Salt and Pepper wings. Chicken sandwich was solid, fries were way too salty and the Salt and Pepper wings were good but (shocker) too salty. Drinks: Huge selection of drinks. The beers were great and they are always running some sort of food or drink special Service: This was the first time I have been here where the service was actually good. The 4 other times our server was the worst I've had, was happy to see improved service, not perfect but much better Atmosphere: Big, industrial style bar, no real character def. got that big chain feel but nevertheless nice and big with tons of space to accommodate which is great considering most people who go is pre-sports game. Value: They seem to always have some sort of food or drink deal so I would say if you are there during happy hour or gets feature it is def. worth the price. Pro-tip: Check my photos for their happy hour + daily specials, no need to spend more for the same thing!

    Ginger Culture Kombucha $5.75.

I had dinner here recently with some fellow Yelpers. We were a group of 7. Overall, the place was good. The place is huge. I think I heard it seats 500 people (including the patio). And there are over 100 beers on tap. I'm not a beer drinker, so not so much of a pull for me in that regard. They apparently have a lot of local beers and unusual stuff. The space is large and open concept, with an open kitchen (and we were seated right in front of it). It's very clean and modern looking. Service was excellent. Our server was very friendly and she checked up on us often. I had the Green Goddess Salad ($17.50). It had spinach, kale, cucumbers, green chickpeas (which is the hottest trend now, essentially young chickpeas), roasted broccoli, Brussels sprouts and grilled chicken. It usually comes with an avocado and basil dressing but the server said that that contained sesame seeds, which I can't eat, so she suggested we substitute for the chili lime dressing instead, which we did. The salad was a good size, although still a bit pricey for $17.50 in my opinion. There was so much dressing on the salad -- way too much for my liking. The chicken was also a strange texture to me, like a bit rubbery and "squeaky." Other than these 2 things, it was pretty good. I loved the green chickpeas, and I like how it had a lot of healthy ingredients. I think it could benefit from some crunch in the form of nuts, pumpkin seeds, or something crispy though. I also had a kombucha (from Culture Kombucha which is brewed here in Ottawa, yay local!). The flavour they had (it changes regularly) was ginger. It was good, but I found the ginger flavour too subtle and it had this slight unfortunate aroma of stinky feet. I've had my fair share of kombucha, and I have never had one with this stinky feet scent, so I don't know what was going on there. I will have to try more kombucha from this company to see if that was just an anomaly in that batch or if all their kombucha has that aroma. Yes, CRAFT is a mega chain, but at least it's a Canadian mega chain (from Calgary), lol. I think this place would be very cool for beer enthusiasts, especially those who like microbreweries. My husband fits into this category, so I might have to bring him some time. For me, a non-beer drinker, I thought it was ok. The restaurant is in Lansdowne Park.

    World Tour Six Pack Sampler

We started by ordering a flight of beer - the World Tour Six Pack Sampler, which has different beers from around the world. This was a great variety and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to try new beers without committing to a full pint. My friend and I were really indecisive about what food we wanted. We both wanted a burger and were eyeing the 20 Napkin Burger, but didn't think we could finish one each ourselves, so we decided to split it. Honestly not the best item to split since it's so messy, but super filling and cheaper than getting a burger each. It's a double patty with brisket, bacon, cheese sauce, lettuce, tomato, onion, and a brioche bun, garnished with a mini burger and served with a side of fries. It was cooked really well, on the less done side like I like it, but if you're a slow eater like me, you risk your bread getting all soggy. The food and drinks were better than your average bar, though I wish we had more attentive service. We had to ask for water multiple times, more napkins, and kept having to flag her down throughout the night, since she either didn't come to our table or only served one person from our party at a time before running off. Overall, not a bad spot to grab some beers if you're in the Lansdowne area.

    Amazing crispy chicken sandwich!

I know, it is a chain and the foodie in me wants to support local businesses and unique food experiences as much as possible and I do! This place is one of my favourite chain restaurant with lots of beer options as well as children friendly options. The beer selection is the first thing to highlight. There is over 100 beers on tap! There is a tube system that ensures that even if the keg is open, the beer is sealed and remains fresh. The wine is also tapped the same way. It makes a huge difference. The food is also among the best in the Landsdowne park complex. There is a wide and eclectic selection with some fun Asian influence (tuna poke bowl, curry, sushi burgers) and quality mains such as squash raviolis or crispy chicken sandwiches. I had the crispy chicken sandwich and was really impressed. The usual sides (fries, soup or salad) can be substituted with mac and cheese or Poutine (although at a fairly high addition). The mac and verse is beautiful though. Definitely worth checking out!

    100 beers

I thought this place as A-OK. It has a sleeker decor than one typically expects for a place focused on beer. We were there mid-afternoon on a Sunday - so it was pretty darn quiet. Maybe 20 people in a space that likely holds 2-3 hundred. Their beer selection is impressive and the waitress we dealt with seemed to know what's what (which is awesome). Bonus: she was really nice too. We really just stopped in to check it out - so beer and poutine is all we tried. Hubby looked over the menu and spotted some great sounding burgers, so I'm sure we'll be back. As far as the poutine goes: It was fine. The fries were not as crispy as I prefer - but the gravy was delicious with just a touch of spicy burn going down. For now, this is a 3. It would be a 3-1/2 if that was allowed - not quite a 4 in my mind, but approaching. We'll go back and have a bigger experience, so this may get adjusted. Would I return: Yes Would I recommend: Hmm. Without having a bit more experience with the food, that's a bit hard to answer. I think I would - particularly if they wanted a broad beer choice. The location is great too.

How can this place only have three stars?! This is blasphemy! The CRAFT Beer Market is our go to spot! We go at least once a week! We always sit in the same booth. We've gotten to know a few servers by name and even one of the managers goes out of his way to say "hello" to us. This place offers "Hoppy Hour" every single day from 3 pm to 6 pm and ALL DAY on Sunday. All local craft beers are $4 (usually $6.75). Where else can you get a deal like that?! Nowhere! We've tried several (if not all) of the local beers on tap, including some rotating taps. My go-to local beer is Two Flags IPA by Dominion City. The food is decent. We usually order a meal to share or stick to apps. Besides the "Hoppy Hour" every day of the week has specific deals...This place is the greatest! I am so happy that we discovered it!

Blue cheese and bacon burger with sweet potato fries!

I really enjoyed our trip to CRAFT. We came in as a group of Yelpers and were offered some $5 off coupons to help celebrate their new menu. Hubby tried the new chicken burger and I went for the blue cheese and bacon burger, with a pint each. Both meals were very yummy but I must say that I was not a huge fan of the seasoning on the sweet potato fries - they are good as is, they didn't need the extra flavour and sauce as well. The ambiance was that of a modern beer house - kegs in the back room behind glass windows, and a windowed view into the kitchen. A very transparent image for what they do, which I really liked! It was dimly lit but clean and a little loud for such a big space, but overall I enjoyed our visit. I would go back!

Small little bar specializing in beer. I loved how their menu is split into "Beer" and "Non-Beer"…read morelol. They have lots of canned beers and some on tap. Their "Non-Beer" is mostly wine, and soda pop. They have some hard liquor, but it's limited (and just the regular vodka, rum, whiskey, etc. no liqueurs or anything fancy. I asked if they had sour mix and they said no, so I'm guessing they only mix with soda pop). Food menu is small. I came with some beer lovers. They had beers. I wanted a whiskey sour, but they couldn't make it, so I got a non-alcoholic drink (root beer). I'm not going to fault the place for this because their focus is obviously beer. The place is kind of small. They have some TVs with sports streaming. They had a really big screen that showed the menu. I thought that was weird. Why didn't they show sports on that screen? We already have the menu in front of us, lol. We got a basket of fries ($5). They were shoestring fries and really good, although a bit too overly salted. Their menu looked interesting, but we already ate before coming. Our server was nice and friendly. She seemed to feel bad that I couldn't find a drink that I liked. She even gave me a sample of some raspberry sour beer to try. I didn't like it, but not her fault, and at least she tried. I think this would be a cool place to hang out for beer lovers.

There's a huge selection and all the empty cans are displayed on the wall. Right after work there weren't that many people but it got steadily more full. I tried three of the food dishes, and the Nashville chicken was definitely the best as it was spiced enough. The mozzarella sticks were ok (need to be more crispy), and the cauliflower had a bit too much sauce. However, the food is generally tasty, but it's a hit or miss. Presentation was better than expected for a beer place! Service is quick and attentive. Pretty cozy spot to relax over some beers!

Sussex & Co. - A New Ottawa Gem Worth Every Bite and Sip…read more We had the pleasure of visiting Sussex & Co. last night to celebrate Mother's Day early with an evening date night -- and what an experience it was! From the get-go, communication with the restaurant was seamless. I reached out via social media requesting a booth, and not only did they respond within minutes, but they followed up with a phone call confirming the reservation. That level of service before we even arrived set the tone for the night. The anticipation was real -- their social media teasers had us excited -- and they delivered. The design of the space is simply stunning. Warm tones and classy touches give it a cozy yet elegant vibe. The main bar is a showstopper with its extensive liquor selection. I was on the hunt for a tequila I'd never tried, and the bartender delivered -- an excellent pick, delicious and reasonably priced. Now for the food: We started with oysters and the burrata. The oysters were fresh, flavourful, and the rosé vinaigrette was a standout touch. The burrata was rich and creamy, and we loved being able to choose the bread it came with -- a small detail that made a big difference. For mains, my wife had the steak frites -- a surprise hit. Incredible flavour and an unbeatable price. I had the ribeye (medium rare) with dauphinoise potatoes, and let me say this: I've eaten at every top steakhouse in Ottawa, and this was hands-down the best steak in the city. Perfectly cooked, beautifully marbled, and seasoned like a dream. The potatoes? The bomb. We kicked things off with a couple of cocktails -- an off-menu espresso martini and a whiskey-vermouth martini-style drink. Both on point. The wine list impressed us too. The GM personally offered pairing advice and introduced us to a bottle so good, we ordered a second. Too full for dessert -- a rarity -- we ended our night in their hidden speakeasy. This space is jaw-dropping. Intimate, stylish, and full of charm. We capped the night with an expertly crafted old fashioned, the perfect end to a perfect evening. Special shout-out to our server Brianna -- despite it being their second night open, she knew the menu inside and out and guided us like a seasoned pro. Sussex & Co. is a must-visit. If you appreciate top-tier service, an incredible culinary experience, and a beautifully designed space, go now... and then go again. We're already planning our next visit.
