A coworker of mine just spoke to me regarding her wedding at Krug and low and behold, she's not happy with your services either, you were not transparent about the time/events taking place the day of her wedding and you gave her samantha which she said is inexperienced as well. We got married on 5/18/24 at Paradise Ridge Winery and have nothing but wonderful things to say about our primary coordinator, Marissa Sartory. She's kind, caring and an ally during our planning process. She's quick to respond to all communications, reassured us when we had concerns, understood our budget, and did a fantastic job anticipating our needs. After 9 months of working with Marissa, there was an unexpected turn of events caused by some turnover/changes in roles. We were informed that our day-of coordinator was now Paige Hough. Although Marissa was still our main point of contact, we now had to shift our trust to another individual who was to execute our wedding day wishes, which was unnerving. Most of our planning including vendors and major details had been taken care of in collaboration with Marissa, so we were flexible with our transition to a different coordinator/director of operations (Paige), even though it was not our preference. This is all not to say that our wedding was not amazing, but it was something that we did not anticipate and did cause added stress. Marissa continued to support us during the transition and made us feel comfortable with the changes; without her we would not have been as confident. We really wish we could have seen everything through with our original coordinator, Marissa, as she spent months helping us and investing her time with us, but it did not work out that way. Again, our day turned out to be wonderful with the assistance of friends, family, & all staff (milestone, Paige, and other) but we feel that since we had such a close working relationship with Marissa, there would be no cons listed below if we continued to work with her: Pros: -One stop shop for everything with flexibility in regard to vendors. -Things went smoothly as structured in our wedding timeline; no major hiccups or issues that we noticed. We had the assistance of the DJ, who is our good friend (DJ Willie G), who was additional help with coordination in terms of timeline and other details. Not sure if the day would have been different without him but we saw/know that he was one of our greatest allies on the day. -Catering: Food from Girl and the Fig (buffet style) was fantastic, and staff were attentive. Would recommend this caterer to anyone else. We had comments from many people saying "this was the best food ever!" -Rehearsal: We had an issue with a promotion offered to us initially, likely due to staff turnover in Milestone Estate Kitchen (MEK). Rehearsal was to be part of the Girl and the Fig catering package but some issues with booking occurred, and it was missed. MEK, specifically Dan, made everything right & it turned out great. We loved our alternative solution, and appreciate Dan and MEK for working with us to resolve the issue. We believe that if this was to occur with any other coordination service, this would not have been resolved in such a way. We appreciate Milestone, its staff, and Dan for helping us with this. Cons: -Potential for turnover and change in staffing which can add stress and be a detriment to overall continuity. -There was some miscommunication between the venue and milestone regarding where we could store our decor list items when we came for rehearsal. Instead of a private, indoor space as promised, we were told to keep all our delicate florals & decor items outside, overnight. we did not feel this was the fault of our coordinator but the venue, as they booked an event which required use of our promised space the day prior to our wedding, which is when we needed to drop everything off. Fortunately, Paige stepped up and offered solutions to either bring all the florals to Milestones' office and transport them herself the next day, or she return after the event ended and move the delicate items indoors. We really appreciated that she offered a resolution and accommodated us to ensure our items were stored safely. -As we were sent off prior to the end of our wedding, we were made aware by some members of our wedding party that some things weren't packed up as directed in our décor list. Some of the items which we wanted returned did not end up where they were directed to be placed. So, in essence, we are missing some items which we were hoping to keep. -We were made aware that an entire sheet cake wasn't put out and was almost left in the fridge. This was supposed to be served and/or packed up for us to take home. All in all, if we were to do it over again, we would still choose to work with Milestone. Their coordination services and resources were extremely helpful and relieved some of the stress involved with planning a wedding. If you follow their structure and timeline, and utilized their tools and resources, you will be set up for a successful event. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. We got married July 20th, 2024 at Russian River Vineyards, and Milestone was there for every step of the year-long planning process. We chose to go with Milestone because we wanted the support of a coordinator, and we loved that they regularly worked with specific venues and vendors - there are a lot of venues and vendors nearby and it gets overwhelming without guidance! We toured a few venues before falling in love with Russian River Vineyards, which despite living 15 minutes away from, we had never been to. It was perfect for us. Milestone made the touring process fairly easy, and our tour host Rachel was lovely. Marissa Sartory was our coordinator, and she was fantastic at her job! We had regular check-ins to make sure all the planning was on track, she helped me get set up with Aisle Planner (a planning website that Milestone uses), she recommended vendors, advocated when a vendor was slow to reply, met us at the rental place to assist in picking out table settings, answered all questions about budget, handled all logistical communication with vendors, emailed us helpful planning resources, was amazingly organized, and most importantly, helped the wedding day run perfectly. We had our wedding on Saturday June 8th and our coordinator, Marissa Sartory, was absolutely incredible. She came on as a brand new coordinator with the team when we had already contracted with Milestone and after our previous coordinator abruptly left. She couldn't have been more professional. She replied to every email promptly and helped us with rentals, catering, and everything else we needed as if she had been with them from the very beginning. She worked overtime to help us understand our various agreements and being that we lived in LA and not in NorCal, we needed someone we could trust who was on our side. She was exactly that. I can't recommend Milestone--I'm giving them three stars is because they're very quiet about how much their services cost. I had to go through tons of steps finally to be told they don't work with budgets under $30k. That's fine--weddings are expensive in "Wine Country", and while I appreciate their candor I wish it would have just been more upfront. We got married at Charles Krug winery and had a really great experience working with milestone events group! Our coordinator, Marissa Sartory, truly went above and beyond! We had multiple walkthroughs of the venue with different vendors and lots of outside requests for the day of and she was so open to different ideas and was always super helpful in getting answers back to us quickly! On the day, she truly executed a beautiful wedding! We had a small hiccup with our DJ on the day of and Marissa had my back through that, making sure we stuck to our planned timeline and executed the vision we had. Everything went according to plan, we were right on time the whole day. Marissa was so attentive to making sure all the details were taken care of and, more importantly, we were taken care of in a 108 degree heat wave! The day was absolutely beautiful! We also worked with Milestone Estate Kitchen, as well, which was a great decision. Dan was super helpful in getting everything organized and making sure our menu was right. We had family style dinner with Perkins catering and the only negative thing I have to say about this is that getting ahold of the catering company was sometimes very difficult. But the food was so delicious and the staff was great so really wasn't too big of a deal! Overall, working with Milestone was a great decision and I had so much confidence in the team throughout the planning process and they truly executed all of their promises on the day of. My heart was set on a wedding at Russian River Vineyards and the venue directed me to Milestone. I'd already wanted a day-of coordinator anyway and, while I'd have preferred to plan every detail of the wedding myself, realistically I didn't have the time to do that. Milestone assisted with planning and ran the day of event - it was a great fit for me to make sure everything was accounted for leading up to the day and I'm happy to report most everything ran smoothly, resulting in a beautiful event for my husband, family, friends, and me. I recommend them highly. I'd previously looked at the costs for a day-of coordinator and, candidly, the broader service provided by milestone came in not much higher than those alternatives and came with a broader set of services, all of which I found to be very valuable. Just make sure to consider the costs of buyout fees if you're set on specific vendors. Luckily their list of vendors was rather long, especially if you're looking at a $100-$150+ per head for food - and I understand they've been expanding their list to cover a wider range of catering budgets. Everyone we used on their list was easy to work with (whereas the transportation company I used to save some $ who was not on their list was our most challenging vendor with subpar service) so they've done their homework and it pays off to lean on their experience with their list. We did the buyout for catering and it was worth every penny to have my lovely milestone planner, Kristine, work directly with our selected food truck caterer on our behalf. I would never have known to ask all the things that were second nature to her and candidly took uncountable hours to solidify (everything from hookups, kitchen appliances, which vendors would manage clean up, who was rolling napkins and when... the list goes on and on...). Her communication with vendors on rentals, food, and drink was simply a life saver and her storied background in catering and managing the milestone kitchen portfolio payed in dividends when rubber hit the road. I felt very confident everything was being considered and handled throughout. Milestone has lots of experience with high end and extravagant wine country weddings. Ours was much simpler and lower budget and Kristine hustled to help us find and work with vendors to keep our costs relatively low. She spent time to understand our vision for the day and was a great thought partner in developing creative and thoughtful solutions. While they did a ton, I didn't use milestone as a full service partner - I still scheduled time with most vendors 1:1 and managed the overall budget among other things. Since it's a unique relationship, I recommend spending extra time to understand who will do what ahead of time for your instance as you decide on fit. When the day arrived, everything was very smooth without the need for my involvement. The inevitable hiccups were resolved proactively, quickly, and gracefully, most without my knowledge. We hate to admit that it was rocky at first and was challenging to get responses the months leading up to the day. Most challenging- We agreed on certain perks that came with choosing milestone but we had to the chase those perks and prove them when it came time. We also had to wait weeks for certain answers to our questions and their "no surprises" contract/price estimator was very off from what we ended up paying. There were hidden fees and we did not feel that it was truly as transparent as they said it would be. Through all this rockiness, we were assigned to our third coordinator 2 weeks before the big day. This made us very nervous! However, the wedding Gods stepped in and assigned us to Paige Hough. Paige was by far the best thing that could have happened to us. She was attentive, detail oriented, caring and kind!! She was quick to respond to everything we asked and brought the most positive energy. Rather than assigning me to finish layouts or seating charts, she stepped in without hesitation and told me that she would take care of everything so I would not be stressed and could enjoy the week leading up to the big day. I cannot tell you how much this meant to me! She also answered all the questions immediately that we had asked months prior that never received responses from the other coordinators. We had a great experience with Milestone right from the start! I first spoke to Amanda Vineyard who helped guide me in figuring out where to even start looking for wedding venues. We started planning in December/January, which was 7 months before we got married. Amanda was very helpful in assuring me that we weren't too late at all! We toured a few wineries and ended up choosing Sbragia. From then on, we worked with Paige as our wedding coordinator. Paige was super friendly, responsive and knowledgeable. She listened to all my crazy ideas and helped make our wedding happen the way we envisioned. Paige's main roles were to coordinate with the vendors (i.e., rentals, catering, DJ, photographer, florist, etc.) and to be the day-of coordinator. I'd say the day-of part of her role was the most helpful since you definitely need experienced people behind the scenes making everything flow and go as planned! Paige brought an assistant that day which was also very helpful. My mother-in-law and I did most of the pre-wedding planning, so if you're looking for a full service wedding planner to do all that for you, then I'd inquire with Milestone to see if they offer that. Or if you are only looking for a day-of coordinator (which is required), then you could look into that option as well. I also want to mention that we used Brass Spatula as our caterer and Clay from Premier Productions as our DJ (both on Milestone's recommended vendor list). Our guests said we had some of the best wedding food they had ever had! We spent a lot of time talking with the caterer making sure we got a menu we loved and it paid off. We also spent a lot of time talking with Clay to pick songs for big moments and figure out the game plan for the whole evening. Clay was super personable and professional and made all the guests feel welcome, played great music that got everyone to dance, and helped me figure out where to go and what to do at various moments throughout the night (i.e, cake cutting, bouquet toss, first dance, etc.). We used a Milestone venue (Sbragia Family Vineyards) and day-of coordination services. Pros: - Our day-of coordinator, Liliana, was well-prepared, professional, and accommodating. On the wedding day, we had to make a few last minute shifts due to the weather and other unforeseen circumstances, but Liliana handled everything calmly and diligently. We were grateful for her help and knowledge throughout the process! Lili was also very kind and was loved by our families and guests. - Our venue, Sbragia Family Vineyards, provided a stunning view and the location made it easy for our guests to travel to. - The food catered by Milestone Estate Kitchen, KIN Windsor, was delicious! Cons: - The options presented to us for catering (i.e. the careering company options, the style of catering, and the order/cost minimum) was vastly misrepresented in the initial sales call. This caused quite a bit of frustration and disappointment on our end when we began the wedding process as we thought we had multiple caterers to choose from when we only had one option based on our wedding size (55 guests). - After being told by Milestone that all dietary restrictions could be accommodated, I ended up having to pressure the Milestone catering coordinator to allow us to include a vegetarian meal option. - One of my bridesmaids has a deathly food allergy and, after confirming twice regarding her meal selection (salmon & risotto) she was served only a piece of salmon with no side. - Our rehearsal time was changed (made earlier) less than 2 weeks before the wedding due to the venue's poor planning. - Milestone markets many discounts (tabletop upgrades, discounts towards photography & catering, etc.) however there are many stipulations to these discounts so we didn't qualify for any mostly based on our size of wedding. This again was misrepresented in the initial sales call. read more

We are both food and beverage professionals and I am a long time event beverage director for celebrity weddings, massive music festivals like Coachella and a BottleRock , high profile corporate events, and large layers of sporting events like the NFL Super Bowl. We literally went ALL IN and planned our dream outdoor Indian Summer wedding at Triple S Ranch. Our wedding was the weekend after the Kincade Fire and between my husband and I, we were feeling a bit anxious if the wedding would happen. Samantha reassured us that they had a second venue in place just in case Sbragia did not work out, and they made sure we knew everything was taken care of and to not worry. TLDR; Echoing to please AVOID this company due to their approach to COVID. We received a few hours of service and a refusal to host the wedding under the legal limit of people but the company refused to provide even a partial refund of our site fee leaving us to plan a fully new wedding weeks before it was to happen. We had a very nice wedding a few weeks ago with 9 people at a venue that we had to find with two weeks remaining because of the lack of flexibility and, as other reviewers have pointed out, lack of empathy and respect for their customers. We had to find this venue because Milestone would not work with us even though we were WELL within regulations (every other vendor worked with us to have the wedding and refund us the majority of our deposits) and we got another venue (and event company!) that was happy to work with us because we were well within regulations. We spent a year planning a wedding with some help from Milestone (a few phone calls and I would assume some behind the scenes planning that may have taken a few additional hours). Our planner Samantha was really kind and we enjoyed working with her. Unfortunately, once the wedding was a few weeks away and it was obvious that COVID wouldn't allow for more than 12 guests, Milestone immediately changed their tone to let us know that they would only allow 6 guests (to Pellegrini Winery, a large, outdoor venue - and an arbitrary number that they pulled from a blog as support) or we could reschedule into the future at a date where we could spend more money with them. After we made it clear that we were going to continue to have the wedding on our planned wedding date at a reduced capacity and that if they weren't able to accommodate that we would like a refund of the fee that they took to use their site, they refused and gave us the option to take legal action which, as a young couple who does not have the financial capability to do so, was their way of telling us that they were taking our money and we couldn't do anything about it. As the owner has mentioned in other comments, they are obviously hurting because of the circumstances and "are not in the position" to refund deposits - whether contractually obligated to or not - so please, please, please think twice about giving them your business and money in the first place. They chose to take our deposit and our venue and left us to fend for ourselves weeks before our wedding and they will do it to you, too! read more

My wife and I just got married earlier this month and we worked with Breanna as our coordinator. We were disappointed with our experience and did not feel that the service we received was equal to the value of what we paid. We had a really hard time getting responses from Breanna to our questions. It would take her several days, sometimes an entire week plus, to reply to our emails. It made the planning process really difficult when we were waiting on responses to move forward on things. Breanna explained that she was busy with other weddings, so we were trying to give her the benefit of the doubt and be patient. We ended up scheduling weekly calls with Breanna five weeks out from the wedding because we were stressed out and wanted to verbally confirm with her that the things we discussed were being taken care of. Ahead of the wedding, my wife and I met the requirement to have our timeline and wine order completed with Breanna one month before the wedding date. Our wine order wasn't placed until the day before our wedding and the order was wrong. In addition, our timeline was never sent to the vendors. We flagged this for her during the calls we had each week leading up to the wedding, especially because we had been getting questions from our vendors about the timeline (florist, DJ, etc.) because they had not received it from Breanna. Our photographer was also trying to set up time with Breanna before the wedding to tour the venue, and was never able to get a hold of her to arrange that. Finally, we noticed that our napkins and linens were not the same color as we ordered. We wanted ivory for everything, and apparently the rental company only had white napkins. Breanna never told us this was the case until we found the discrepancy on the order ourselves in the couple days before the wedding. She should have communicated directly about what was available earlier. On the day of the wedding, Breanna didn't greet my wife or the photographer upon arrival, nor did she take my wife to the bridal room, and she didn't assist with the personal flowers. My sister ended up figuring out all the boutonnieres and pinning them. At 5pm, the start of the ceremony, our guests were not seated. Everyone in the processional was waiting in the bridal room and we didn't know where Breanna was. One of the bridesmaids had to track her down twice to get the ceremony started. For the rest of the event, Breanna didn't keep to our timeline well, and we think part of this was because the DJ and Photographer didn't have a timeline from her. The DJ had to ask us about when to cut the cake and where the cake was, Breanna should have handled all of that. Also, we had two cakes and one entire cake was not served. Some guests didn't any get cake, and we ended up taking home an entire two-tier cake that wasn't served. We bought that for our guests, and we told Breanna that we wanted both cakes to be served. Finally, we had made wedding favors that were never distributed to our guests and we didn't get the favors back at the end of the evening. We spent a lot of time and money making those and no one received them. Overall, we think Breanna performed poorly. We don't know whether that is because she had too much on her plate and didn't have enough support or if she is just bad at her job. Our experience did not match our expectations at all, and we think it's important to share this here on Yelp so that other couples don't get their hopes up about receiving great service from Milestone. read more

We decided to go with milestone for our wedding because they had a big selection of beautiful wineries and could help suggest local vendors. I am not from the area so this was really helpful in finding the right people. Mikaela was our planner and she was fantastic. Leading up to the event she kept everything organized and really helped me wrap my head around the schedule for the day. We were married at Sbragia Family Vineyards this past weekend and I wouldn't have changed one single thing about the day. Sbragia was absolutely beautiful and their bartenders were incredibly nice. Mikaela kept us on schedule and helped wherever we needed it. I went into my wedding day feeling relaxed because I was prepared and Mikaela helped me feel this way. My wedding was so much fun and I received so many compliments. I have Mikaela and the milestone team to thank for that. We went with the milestone estate kitchen (the girl and the fig) for catering. You know the food is good when you walk up to a table and it looks like the plates were licked clean. Everyone loved the steak and chicken. The deserts were also amazing! We were really happy with them. Ann Marie helped coordinate for us and she was great. She really helped us put together a great menu. read more

We got married in September 2024 at Villa Chanticleer in Healdsburg, CA and found Milestone Events Group very easy to work with. We are an outdoorsy couple who wanted a ceremony & reception that reflected our laid-back nature and love for the California outdoors. We booked the venue about a year ahead of time and were hoping not to have too much stress in the wedding planning process. Villa Chanticleer and Milestone Event Group (MEG) turned out to be great partners in all of the above. MEG had a selection of recommended vendors for just about every service, and most were not only in the region but had worked with the venue. It made the wedding planning process easy while also giving us choice. Marissa from the MEG team provided planning consultations and day-of coordination services, and we were overall very happy with her organization, the event production, and her direct vendor coordination. We got married at The Ranch at Lake Sonoma on 6/9/18 and we were the first wedding at this venue. My husband and I had an original venue booked, but due to the venue selling the property, we were left to find something else with 6 months to go. Enter Milestone- we contacted Milestone and told them about our dilemma. They were very prompt to respond and helped us set up tours of 4 different properties that luckily had availability on our date in the Healdsburg area. We met with Rachel who was very warm and helpful from the start. We decided to take a chance on The Ranch at Lake Sonoma. The barn wasn't even completed yet at the time of booking, but we could tell with a little imagination how beautiful it would be, especially with the epic view overlooking Lake Sonoma. Rachel and the Milestone team, along with our wedding coordinator, were very helpful along the way. There were a few questions and concerns as planning continued, mostly just because we were the first wedding and there were still learnings with all of the logistics. The day of the wedding was beautiful! Many of our guests said it was the most beautiful and unique venue they have ever been to. We started working with Milestone way back in 2018, when we were starting to plan for a 2020 wedding. We initially looked at several event groups, but ultimately settled on Milestone because of their venue selection and value. We now can't express our gratitude and thankfulness enough to Milestone for all of their care and support across two postponements, a change in venue ownership, and all the uncertainties during the pandemic. We are so happy that we chose to work with them! We want to say a heartfelt thank you to Leslie, who was always so helpful and supportive. Her amazing blend of professionalism, calmness, and compassion really made a difference during the pandemic and helped us feel more at ease with all of the unknowns of what, or even when, our wedding would be. We were also thrilled when we learned that she would be present at the wedding to help with the coordination. Mikaela became our new wedding coordinator only two months before the big day, but honestly it was like we'd been working with her the whole time. She was so prepared and the transition was seamless. We are really thankful for her organization and thorough communication; she was a joy to work with in every way. And she was amazing on our wedding day! Mikaela coordinated a beautifully smooth event and everything about the day was truly prefect. We also want to express how happy we were with Abbot's Passage as the venue. The property was originally Valley of the Moon, but there was an ownership change to Abbot's Passage in the Winter of 2020. Initially, we were a little concerned as we didn't know what this change would bring, but it actually was a change for the better! My wife and I just recently got married at the Villa Chanticleer in Healdsburg, CA. Leilani was the venue event coordinator and we are incredibly happy with our experience as a whole. Villa Chanticleer could not have been a better venue choice for our Wedding. The venue itself is BEAUTIFUL. The ceremony site and lawn area were gorgeous and surpassed our wishes for what we dreamed it would look like. The reception hall and bar areas really hit the mid-century modern vibe and were perfect for our wedding. We were very happy with Leilani and Villa Chanticleer all the way from first visit last year to now. Leilani was extremely helpful and easy to work with for site visits, venue questions, and day-of management. She had an answer to every question and had recommendations that we utilized for the big day. We did have one small issue regarding our beverage plan with the bartenders that was immediately resolved once discussed with Leilani. The bartenders were on it and we were super appreciative of their warm welcoming vibes. Everything was smooth sailing and we could not be happier with the results. We had an amazing experience with the Milestone group over 3 years of wedding planning amongst COVID! To begin with, Leslie and her team are absolutely amazing - attention to detail, responsive, thorough, CARING...the list goes on! Our wedding was originally scheduled for June 20, and we were in Sonoma to finalize everything in March 2020. As you all can imagine, these plans did not go accordingly....but ultimately, we just celebrated 2 years later in Sonoma and the Milestone group helped us re-do and re-plan each step of the way! The Milestone group made us feel like true humans throughout the experience, and there was never a question too small that the team didn't address. They also have AMAZING relationships with vendors in the area, who all speak very highly of them. Milestone Events took over the Barlow after we had already booked for our June 2018 wedding and the transition was seamless! We were lucky enough to work with Rachel Edmister and she was such a rockstar through the whole process. She helped us execute our vision flawlessly. A good example - we planned to reuse some of the greenery from the ceremony on our head table. Prior to the ceremony, I saw the head table all empty and got really nervous about how it would look. Then after pictures and cocktail hour, I walked in to the reception and was so blown away with how Rachel set up the table. It had all of the pieces I dreamed of and some I didn't even think of! Rachel totally understood what I was looking for and executed beautifully. Milestone Events, and Rachel in particular, were great to work with. Their organization system was really easy to use and helped keep me on track throughout the stressful process. I'll absolutely recommend them to future brides! read more

My husband and I got married 10/26/2019, the weekend of the Kincade fires, and owe everything to Milestone. We had to switch venues due to the fire not once, but twice. As a bride, finding out the wedding you had been planning for 15 months had to be moved is a worst nightmare. However, because I had Milestone and Samantha working on it, I actually was able to enjoy myself. They are a Dream Team! At 7am the morning after the fires broke out, Samantha had emailed me telling me they were on it. Just this simple email took so much stress away from me, knowing that the Milestone Team was working to still make my dream wedding come true. With Samantha, Leslie and Amanda on it, we were able to secure a new venue on Thursday for our Saturday wedding, and Milestone took care of letting all our vendors know which made it so stress free for me. Saturday morning around 10:30am more mandatory evacuations happened, including our new venue. Samantha and the Milestone team jumped into action once again (!!) and secured us another venue. This was only hours before our wedding was supposed to start. We ended up getting Married at Valley of the Moon which was beautiful! All our guests told us that if they hadn't known anything about the evacuations or having to move venues, they would have had no idea any of that happened. That's how beautiful and smooth our wedding went even having to change to a third venue morning of. I cannot rave about Samantha enough. Not only the week of the wedding, but the whole year before helping me plan, chose vendors and help my vision come to life, she was amazing to work with. Thank you Samantha! read more
