What a special day getting to celebrate a special friend's wedding at Vine Hill House. As part of the bridal party, we spent the entire morning getting ready in the cottage on-site. The space was lovely and spacious. It had a full kitchen that allowed us to snack and stay hydrated throughout the morning. We were all able to gather in the area to have hair and make-up done, but there were also side rooms available for changing and getting ready. The cottage itself is lovely and create a picturesque backdrop for first look photos on the porch. The ceremony site felt intimate under the trees and the dinner area had a beautiful view of the vineyards. This special venue has such a great set up. As a guest, it was nice that everything was all on-site, but there were clear areas that helped designate the reception area from the ceremony turned dance floor. One cool feature was that the bride and groom utilized a side bar area next to the dance floor for a whiskey tasting lounge. It was a unique touch that made their wedding stand out! The venue owner, Dan, was HIGHLY involved throughout the day. He was highly attentive, but also highly present. Something to keep in mind if you'd prefer more behind the scenes vendors. Though most appear to attend Vine Hill House for wedding celebrations, I wound up here for a Celebration of Life, a more sobering occasion. Not wishing to tempt fate, I've given I've no thought to how I wish to be remembered (if at all) but the person whose life we celebrated here gave lots of thought to her desires. I don't know whether she specified Vine Hill House for the setting but her offspring remarked lovingly that "she'd have loved it here" and that she was a huge "control freak". That, and the fact that much of the afternoon had been orchestrated by wishes she'd recorded in her notes app had me wondering if, perhaps, she'd actually planned it all. Whoever did, they could not have planned much better. Vine Hill House, with its rural Sebastopol wine-country setting is upscale without being precious. There's an air of comfort to it, reminiscent of the "shabby chic" decorating trend though nothing about the place is shabby; it's an aesthetic. Big jars of white roses sat atop each table. Photos and a slide show were placed in an area where many could view at once. Lunch was available from a food truck serving Mediterranean fare. Wine, beer, and specialty cocktails were provided and desserts were artfully arrayed for guests to help themselves. I can't speak to prices, ADA accessibility, how many people can be accommodated, or the ease of working with staff here but from a guest perspective, Vine Hill House provided exactly what one might wish for a special occasion of any sort. read more

My wife and I got married at Vine Hill House about 2 weeks ago. First off, visit and book this venue at least a year in advance, as it will fill up fast! As well it should! We cannot recommend Vine Hill enough. Dan, Jordan, and the team are true professionals who deeply care about making your special day the best it can be. Planning a wedding can be an extremely daunting task, but they are with you every step of the way. They walk you through every detail. They are great with communication. They give you recommendations for catering, photography, DJ, etc. They also coordinate the day of your wedding, so that you don't have to worry about a thing. Now the space. You can't beat it. It's nestled in the Graton/Sebastopol area. And it is gorgeous!It's a beautifully intimate space with everything you need. And the view of the vineyards and Sonoma County is stunning. My husband and I were so happy with our decision to get married at Vine Hill House this past May. We immediately fell in love with the beauty of the venue and especially resonated with the "vineyard meets backyard" homey feeling of the space. From the very beginning, Dan and his team were patient, helpful, and responsive to all our questions. After booking our date, they provided a huge packet of information with preferred vendors, checklists, etc. that made our jobs so much easier, especially because neither of us had any clue how to plan a wedding. VHH is so hands-on that you don't even need a wedding planner! Something that is noteworthy about the venue is just how many things the team covers and provides - you don't need to worry about a day-of coordinator, lighting, heat lamps, dance floor, clean up, etc. You even provide your own drinks for the bar which saves a lot of money on alcohol. We've seen friends get burned with hidden costs and were grateful we didn't have that experience at all with VHH. Vendors also love working at the venue so much that most of ours even offered a discount for being able to work there. On the day of the wedding, Dan, Jordan, and the team took care of everything so my husband and I were able to enjoy ourselves stress-free. It was the most perfect day and we had so many friends and family tell us it was the best wedding they have ever attended, largely due to the beauty of the venue. Guests also said the vineyard behind us at the altar was so stunning that it felt like a backdrop, and we'll never forget the pure magic of dancing in the moonlight under the beautiful redwood trees. Another important thing to us was that our venue be LGBTQ-friendly, and both the VHH team and all their recommended vendors were so inclusive and wonderful to all our party members and loved ones. There were the small things too: Brigitte reminding me that Panera is the easiest and most filling for the day-of breakfast and lunch, the house they allow the bridal party to get in, the ice cold beers awaiting the guys in the "speakeasy" vibes of the tasting grove, the generous pickup of your wedding items the next day at noon, the way they guide you through signing the marriage license, reminders for things here and there, etc. etc. etc. etc. Honestly, this review could go on way too long if I said everything we loved from the moment of initial contact to the day after our wedding of working with Vine Hill House. I had my wedding at Vine Hill House in September and was blown away! I always wanted my wedding to be completely outside, with a backyard feel that incorporated my favorite parts of Sonoma County- the redwoods & vineyards. Vine Hill was exactly that and was the best fit for our wedding! From the day we signed our contract to the end of our wedding day, the VHH team supported us every step of the way. We didn't have a wedding planner, but Brigitte and Dan had consistent check-ins with checklist to make sure we had everything ready for the big day. Because of the consistent meeting with them, it felt like we really knew them by the time the wedding happened. The day of, they set up all our decor and table settings and truly made my vision come to life! They create a timeline that is followed to a tee which eliminated my stress for the day of. I also loved having the house at the venue to spend the entire day to get ready in, watching the property transform into my wedding before my eyes was unforgettable! Everyone loved the views, sunset over the vineyards, and the way VHH transformed the ceremony section of the venue into the dance floor! It was also really special that we were able to have real candles. Another unique think that our guests loved was the tasting area nestled into the Redwoods next to the dance floor! my husband and I live in Tennessee so we did a moonshine tasting and it was a really cool experience for our guests! Recently attended wedding at this venue. There were several issues I found but the most important is the owner needs to do something about the infestation of yellow jackets under the large buckeye tree on the grassy area where dining tables are set up. Along with the debris shed from the tree and the occasional ants that fell, once the meal was served our table was inundated with yellow jackets. We looked around and asked other guests in attendance and they didn't have this experience at other tables. One of the guests at our table was recently diagnosed with significant allergies and was carrying epi pen. He didn't have to use it fortunately but did dash from the tale multiple times as the jackets were relentless. Owner was on site but based on how he treated guests and his own employees I didn't feel it appropriate to confront him at that time and thought a note here might make more of an impact. Dan, folks are paying you a lot of money to celebrate a special occasion on your property. You can do better. read more

My husband and I recently got married at Vine Hill house. The venue is absolutely beautiful and with the venue being small and intimate it was what we wanted. However, the owner Dan makes it very difficult. From the beginning he mentioned we could do as we pleased with our wedding day, since it is our day. Before we booked we double checked with him what our vision was for our wedding. We had 2 meetings with the venue to go over our plans, I remember trying to give them my vision and ideas, but Dan would rush through the meetings when the itinerary wasn't done his way. The last meeting we had was 3 weeks out from the wedding, it was Dan, my husband and I which at this point I had everything planned for the big day and when I tried to explain my seating chart he moved right past it and it felt like we had to dig information out from him regarding the step by step process on the day of the wedding. At this point very little help and information was given and sometimes it was hard to reach through emails for further clarification. Our wedding had everything DIY'ed by us, I had written down everything so I could share but I felt like I wasn't being listened to and he was very adamant on some things he wanted at our wedding. But I stood my ground and he absolutely did not like that, he would raise his voice when I would say "no, I don't want that". The day before our wedding we were allowed to bring all of our stuff so we brought all of our DIY'ed projects including vases and floral arrangements. The day before the wedding he said at 11am my daughter will show up and sort through your stuff and we will ask you all the questions we have. I told him the day of the wedding I would rather not answer any questions because I was already anxious enough and would prefer all questions be directed at my sister. He said "that's okay, we will ask you since you'll be here." That was my tipping point because the venue had 8 months to ask us all the questions. On the day of the wedding while my bridesmaids, mothers and I were getting ready we found out there was a separate rehearsal happening at 11am when they should have been focusing getting things ready for our wedding. Dan knew the men from our wedding including dads would be arriving at 11am to hangout and have our photographer take photos of everyone. However, we were unable to do some of those photos because the rehearsal party was passing through or being in the background. He also wanted to change the cocktail hour on the last minute from the original 60min to 90 minutes which was already set on the invitations. The day of, I gave them a timeline of our wedding day because I already knew it was an issue. We had a church ceremony so we ended up getting back to the venue around 5:15ish, so we started dinner at 6pm, during that time we were listening to music that was never part of our list. We had a Mexican wedding (Spanish music we wanted) and all the songs were in English and had commercials. One of the members of vendors came up to us and stated that Dan had gone up to the musicians and told them to play specific music which was never informed to us until later during dinner time which is absolutely not okay. He didn't pay for any of the vendors and it was our wedding day. When my husband and I went to talk to him, he started to raise his voice at me and he treated me like a child. I still remember it vividly when he raised both hands at me and started pointing his fingers at me. I told him he is not allowed to do that or talk to me like that. I had to step away because I started crying, my husband kept calm and explained to him that he was not allowed to talk to us that way and that he is not to raise his voice or point fingers at me. We had been very professional and polite the entire 8 months. He kept his distance after that incident but it was very difficult working with him since he wanted to do things his way. There were some things that were not placed correctly which I let that slide but they were no coordinators when they never bothered to ask before the wedding day what our plans were or what we had in mind. My sister had to run the whole wedding day because when it came down to the reception there was no coordination from Vine Hill House. The speeches were coordinated by my sister as well because there was no coordination by Dan or VHH. No one can take the beauty from the venue, it is beautiful, as long as you're okay letting Dan have control of your wedding. read more

They were on top of everything we needed with grace, humor and their amazing expertise. They gave us great suggestions and were completely flexible about whatever choices we made. We even decided to not have an officiant, something they had never done and something most people had never seen. They were completely agreeable to our preference. It's truly a magical place -- so beautiful with different areas for getting ready, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. You can tell that Dan and the whole family have poured decades of care into the property, and still love hosting weddings even after doing more than 1000 of them! One of the things that initially made us decide to go with Vine Hill is that coordination is included. Dan and Brigitte guide you through the whole process, with meetings every few months and lists of recommended vendors to pick from. Brigitte is absolutely wonderful, she and Dan had us laughing the whole time and always made us feel so comfortable. When the day came, we were able to entirely let go of logistics and just enjoy the day. They made sure everything ran perfectly -- they are true expert event planners and have it all down. My Husband and I had the most magical wedding day at Vine Hill House in early October 2023. Dan and Brigette are so easy to work with, and they are the dream team. From our first tour to saying our last goodbye the night of the wedding, they were kind, professional and had every detail dialed in. This venue is turn key and has weddings down like the back of their hand. If you're a busy person and don't have time to deal with a lot of the details of a wedding, VHH is the place for you. Our day was almost 100 degrees, but luckily VHH has gorgeous redwood trees towering over the ceremony location, we didn't need the 100 hand fans I panic bought 3 days before the wedding. Dinner is set on a lawn overlooking a sea of grapevines, where you also have the opportunity to take stunning sunset photos. Dancing is back near the ceremony location, under the redwoods and market lights. We had the BEST DAY. We seriously couldn't be happier with our selection of Vine Hill House. We also selected a lot of our vendors off of their preferred vendor list, which I also recommend doing. Their preferred vendors have worked with Dan and Brigette before and know Vine Hill House very well. Your day goes smoother when your vendors have working relationships and know the venue. Many things drew us to choose Vine Hill House for our wedding at the end of July. We could not be more thrilled me made that decision. Every detail, every touch and the amazing property with the best views of vineyards and apple trees made the day magical beyond our imagination (and we have really good imaginations). Dan and his team were beyond wonderful and took care of every detail. The venue is well contained so you can easily transition from one part of the wedding to the other. They thought of everything and instinctively knew how to make every element perfect. They were a pleasure to work with and were extremely communicative and helpful through the whole process. The environment and all the little touches they have added to the atmosphere really elevated ours and our guests experience. Dan and Brigitte and the team jumped in and took over all the details so we could be fully present. Vine hill was a wonderful venue choice for us! I have recommended it to literally everyone I know. It is beautiful, quaint and homey. The vendors that work closely with Vine Hill appreciate working there and have been doing it a while. It rained on my wedding day despite 95 degrees and sunny the day before. I did appreciate Dan (the venue owner) renting a tent despite the small chance of rain.. it was truly a life saver. The fun fact about the tent is that it's not free (as it is a rental), so if you plan to have a fall wedding, I recommend budgeting for that (it's not written in the contract). Dan tends to be very particular in how he likes things done..though this is very important, it may be an uphill battle for you if you envisioned your wedding not following a cookie cutter template. Why am I knocking off a star in my review for a place that I truly believe has the potential to be 5 stars? It is because of the constant back and forth communication challenges that went on while planning the wedding and even at the wedding. Since Dan calls the shots on scheduling at the wedding (with good intention), sometimes it doesn't align with what you may hope. Our ceremony was supposed to start at 4 pm (at this point there was a light rain sprinkle happening). Dan postponed the wedding by an hour while all my guests just stood under this sprinkle--although we were ready to walk down the aisle. The intentions were good--he hoped the weather would clear up. Anyway when he finally allowed us to walk down the aisle, that's when it started pouring rain. After the ceremony, instead of letting guests into the tent right away, he had them do cocktail hour outside in the pouring rain. This was all fine.. however due to the fact that Dan delayed us an hour, the rest of the wedding reception was very delayed. I hoped to get two hours of dancing at the end of dinner, and had only 30 minutes because we had to finish by 11pm. I was hoping that due to the fact that he delayed, we would be able to extend an hour later, nope. Anyway, overall I had a blast at my wedding. The staff had to pivot a lot to account for the rain and I appreciate Park Avenue catering for vouching for my schedule vision throughout. The grounds are beautiful, there's plenty of parking and you can leave your car overnight. I loved working with Analyssa (she helps out Dan). You also get a lot of discounts for working with vine hill preferred vendors, although you can bring your own catering as well (with a separate administration fee). The most important thing about this venue for us is being able to bring our own alcohol as well. As a suggestion for a future bride, come in with a clear goal of your wedding timeline and stick to your vision--do not let the venue dictate your schedule. Overall Dan does do great communication with all the vendors, so you do not need a wedding planner in my opinion. Will we use this venue again in the future for a big event? Yes. We had our wedding at the Vine Hill house in late June 2019 and were blown away by the overall experience. From the day we met the owner there was an instant connection and walked away from that meeting feeling confident that we would be well taken care. Dan was proactive at every step of the process and really ensured that our wedding would be flawless, which it was. Working alongside the owner is an experience you don't get usually, but it was absolute treat and made us feel more connected with the planning of our wedding. Throughout the process of planning, we decided to hire the venues coordinator, Dawnyel, and were so happy we did. She is a top-notch coordinator and we are incredibly lucky to have had her help. She had everything 100% under control and think has a sixth sense of reading peoples mind. Dawnyel and her staff really went above and beyond to create the most perfect wedding, more than we could ever imagine. All our guests were blown away on how beautiful the venue was. From the house on the property, ceremony space, rolling hills of vineyard, old oak tree's, mini redwood forest and the list goes on.  We are still having family and friends tell us that the venue was just jaw dropping and so much fun. Picture this: you're standing on the porch of a beautiful country house, looking out at a sprawling vineyard with a small road running through it and mountains in the distance. It is golden hour and you can see the sunbeams moving through the vines. The guests are seated at their tables on the lawn, and all of the tables are glowing with numerous little candles. The sunset then starts showing through the clouds with pink, purple and orange hues, and you get to watch the light change. The string lights have just been turned on and make the redwoods grove light up where you will soon gather for your first dance. When the sun finally sets, your dance floor becomes an enchanted forest. There is even a chandelier strung between two arbors. Guests are warmed by the fire pit and stand sipping whiskey at a little bar in the trees. Finally, the stars come out. Our wedding at Vine Hill house was even better than we could have dreamed; it was colorful, vibrant, beautiful, intimate and unique. It was entirely outside but was elegant and classy. The views were spectacular and really showcased what California has to offer. I cannot recommend Vine Hill, Dan, Brigitte and the team enough. They guided us through vendor selection and made the day run seamlessly; we didn't have to worry about anything. The venue was one of the more reasonable places cost-wise; we didn't need a wedding planner, could buy our own alcohol and had the actual owner watching to make sure everything was perfect. Since the property is not a winery, you can buy any type of spirit. All of the vendors that Dan recommends have worked there before, so they are familiar with the setting. Dan even shipped our excess alcohol back to us since we live in a different state. This is the kind of service you need for your wedding experience! We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Vine Hill House in June 2022, and could not be more pleased!! For starters, the property is BEAUTIFUL!! A house with a front porch overlooking a lawn and vineyards that you'd swear is out of the movies...and also...Redwood trees. Best of both worlds! Plus little niche areas to hang or for various activities. The house (included) is ideal for pre-wedding preparation and mid-wedding respite, and there are also outdoor areas if trying to keep say the ladies and guys separated while getting ready or pre-"first look". The tree-lined wedding area with vineyards behind it is sublime, and the lawn perfect for the dinner service (heat lamps included if needed). The ceremony area is seamlessly repurposed to the dance floor, for boogying under the redwoods. We worked with the owner, Dan, and Annalisa. Fantastic folks whose sole focus seemed to be making our event as amazing as possible. Tremendous attention to details, lots of advance checklists to make sure nothing is missed, pre-event walkthroughs...nothing was left to chance. We never really got nervous about us "messing up" at the wedding as we were convinced Dan would simply not let it happen - all bases were covered. VHH as a private event venue has more flexibility around things like what beverages are allowed (e.g., not just wine like at wineries), and are more liberal with modest outdoor noise and end time than other places we looked at. It's a wonderful size, not too big for our 60-person wedding and I'm sure they could do ~150 people comfortably. It's also its own space, so there aren't other activities like wine tasting or other events going on. Sonoma County wedding venues aren't cheap, but overall we found VHH a good value for what was a top-notch wedding. For things like catering and DJ, they have a very short "approved vendor" list. While this initially concerned me, the upside is those vendors have special packages for VHH that cover/include things that might be done a la carte otherwise. It also allows Dan/VHH to ensure things will be at the high quality level he knows they can deliver. We used Park Avenue for catering (praised separately) and our one contact there (who worked closely with VHH) handled all the food, rental, tables, glassware, linen, etc. as part of the package they offer at VHH. We felt the included options gave us plenty to choose from. For things outside the package, the caterer handles all that directly with the rental company, and the few additions we went for (a "queen table" for the wedding party and one larger round table) were extremely reasonable. Saying this as it made our lives a ton easier just having to work with these few people, who then handled a ton of other details, vs some places that might have had us account for things separately. In hindsight compared to other venues we considered, the limited vendor options and vendor-special "VHH packages" might have actually saved us a bit of money and absolutely saved us time and stress. We've been surprised how many of our guests said things like "best wedding ever". While "it takes a village" for that to happen, Vine Hill House and their team were front-and-center in us having a wedding day that exceeded our biggest hopes and dreams. read more

Held my daughter's summer wedding at Vine Hill House. I can't recommend this place enough. It has got to be the best wedding venue in Sonoma County/Wine Country. Picture perfect, outdoor, garden-like setting. Vineyard backdrop. Lush lawn area for dining, with sun umbrellas and heaters available, if necessary, café lighting for the evening hours, and a great space for dancing. There is even a small grove of redwood trees, which helps hide the bathrooms and was the perfect setting for a whiskey and cigar bar, which our guests loved. The grounds are cozy. You don't have to walk far to get a drink at the bar or to use the bathroom, yet it held our 137 guests very comfortably. The girls can arrive at 9am and get ready in the large house on the property, which was very convenient! Owner Dan and his rock star assistant, Dawnyel, are very capable and wonderful to work with. In the planning stages, they listened closely to our wishes and answered our numerous questions. Their expertise and experience is invaluable. They have thought of every detail so you don't have to. During rehearsal Dan suggested to the Pastor that before he pronounced the bride and groom husband and wife that he take two steps to the left so he would not be in the picture when the bride and groom had their first kiss. Dan and Dawnyel took the time to meet with us on four separate occasions: once to give us a tour of the property; then to go over the contract when signing; then again at three months prior to our date to make a list of the vendors we were using and make sure we hadn't overlooked anything; and then finally at two weeks prior to our date. The day before the wedding they ran a very well-orchestrated rehearsal so everyone in the bridal party knew exactly what they were supposed to be doing and when! Our photographer and videographer had never shot there before and they took the time to show them around and explain what works best. The wedding day time line they have created works very well and they keep everyone on track. They make sure dinner is served when it is supposed to be, and that all the other events take place timely like speeches, cake cutting, golden hour photography, etc. If you ask Dan what time the sun will set on September 1st he will tell you. He won't have to look it up. The bride and groom, nor anybody else need not worry about what time it is. Dan and Dawnyel keep track of what is supposed to be happening and when. You just sit back and enjoy visiting with your guests. The vendors they recommended, Trends Catering, and AMS Entertainment did not disappoint and were easy to work with. You should not hesitate to have your wedding at the beautiful Vine Hill House! You won't have to worry about a thing, you certainly won't be disappointed, and your wedding will be a magical event that you and your guests will never forget. read more

We got married here this last Sunday, August 14th and I couldn't have imagined a more perfect smoothly run day. Dan O'Connell (the owner slash your built in day of coordinator) is not your typical venue owner. He has so many lists and timelines that even my mom (your type A OCD planner) was put to shame. It was amazing! I knew I had nothing to worry about and just had to do what I was told. Everything leading up to the day was fairly seamless (if it wasn't, no one told me). We had a quick and easy rehearsal where I think the wedding party and officiant were thrown off guard with how on top of things the venue was. By the time the wedding day started I knew I had nothing to worry about and the day would be at ease. The girls and I got to the "house" part of the venue to get ready, eating bagels and drinking mimosas while our hair and makeup were done. It was so easy to just relax and take our time, not worrying about having to travel anywhere after we got all done up. Once we were ready, the venue itself was set up so perfectly for our amazing day. You barely even have to decorate there is so much greenery and flowers everywhere, with a backdrop of miles and miles of vines. Talk about a good setting for some wonderful photos! It was easy to pick decorations to add to the venue (think rustic, wooden signs, burlap, simple flowers) With this venue, you are required to use AMS as your Entertainment. I could not have been happier with their performance! Alex was awesome and actually ended up knowing a few of my guests having gone to high school with them! Everyone was so comfortable and at ease with how everything went and the music was always upbeat and got people on the dance floor. We chose Trends Catering from the three vendors VHH suggests. I was told my multitudes of guests that it was some of the best wedding food they've had, which made me so happy! I was too busy being anxious and chatting away to really get to enjoy the food, but from the bites I had I really enjoyed it. Plus I got to head home with over a dozen mini red velvet cupcakes, and two days later (after being stored in tupperware) they are still amaaaaazing. I would order just those if I could in the future! All in all, I had the absolute perfect day. I'm sure every bride says that after their wedding, but I really can't think of a single thing that I would change (well except maybe sneaking more of the food away so I could eat it! haha) I would recommend VHH to anyone and everyone looking for a winery/ garden style venue. What a beautiful venue to have a wedding or special occasion!!! Vine Hill owners suggested to use the photographer that is used to the venue. He was amazing I don't remember his name but I tell you that is one good photographer I highly recommend if you have a special event here to hire the photographer that I suggested to use. He definitely got shots that he would normally see it a wedding reception! He make sure that we put our phones away so there would be no distractions good idea! We had our wedding at Vine Hill House in July of 2022 and it was the best decision we made for our wedding bar none. From the very start, we knew this was the right venue for us based on the care that Dan has put into converting his childhood home into an event space. You can really tell how much he loves to be a host and how the outcome of your special day means the world to him. We chose all of our vendors from the list that Dan provided, which made it easy to plan and all of our vendors were absolutely amazing! The day of our wedding was a dream, thanks in huge part to Dan and his daughter who kept the entire event running so smoothly! The Vine Hill staff execution and support exceeded our expectations. They have amazing vendors that make your special day perfect. After choosing Vine Hill as our venue, they provided a "homework" packet with specified deadlines to help make sure all the details were taken care of on time and tailored to our preference. If we had any questions, they were happy to help by email and phone at any time during our planning process. As someone who stresses out easily, I am so thankful that we had the guidance and help from them. One of my favorite parts of our experience with the staff is how hard they worked to make sure we had everything needed for our big day. I had a specific detail request which we weren't sure would work. We were looking for a Princess Horse carriage to fulfill my Cinderella dream. It took some time for us to find a company near the venue, but they made it happen! Dan got his daughter involved with the search and she found a local vendor. I wish I could have thanked her in person!! My next favorite part of our experience is the fact that I decided to have Dawnyel as our day of assistant. It was worth it! She helped with anything we needed the whole day from set up to clean up. This part alone exceeded my expectations! I felt like my day was complete with her there by my side to help with anything. She handled all of our decorations, escort cards, receiving deliveries from vendors, etc. She told us to do nothing - she had it covered. I could go on, but I think this gets the point across. We are so happy to have a stress free and worry-free wedding with an AMAZING view of the vineyards and beyond. We had our July 6th wedding here and it was perfect! Considering we had an unexpected bundle of joy in April. I'm a big planner but pregnancy and baby kept me very busy. Somehow were able to plan our wedding exactly how we imagined with the help of Dan and Dawnyel without a wedding planner. They are just so organized and guide you all the way through it. Day of they didn't want the bride to worry about anything! Any problem they grabbed my maid of honor and did it all behind the scenes. Some things I knew about but still never came running to me panicked about the lack of center pieces. Flowers were redistributed without a fuss. They also have great suggestions like the whiskey bar, sparklers, and I suggest going with their listed vendors because everyone knows and likes each other! Even those who needed to breastfeed or older guests who needed somewhere warm were welcome in the house. You just need to ask. We are still receiving compliments. We got married September 8, 2017 and like many people, we wanted to find the perfect outdoor location in wine country for our wedding. A friend in the local catering business recommending checking out Vine Hill House for it's beauty, professionalism, attention to detail, and reasonable package-pricing. Once we met Dan and his staff, we knew this was the place for us! We scheduled a walk through on the morning of another wedding, and we we impressed by how everything seemed to be running like clockwork--yet no one appeared stressed. Vine Hill House itself is a beautiful location with amazing views! It's the home that Dan, the owner, grew up in. The outdoor setting is spacious with several areas for different moments (receptions, dinner, dancing, photos) but every nook and corner has an intimate, customized feel to it. Having lived in and worked at this property for years, Dan knows his stuff and will guide you in the right direction - he made our entire wedding planning experience very easy and stress free with his recommendations. Eventually, in the planning process we were handed over to the AMAZING, sweet and exceptionally capable Dawnyel. Though we met her briefly at our first walk-throughs, this time she took the lead on the details of our wedding day. Let me just tell you, in addition to her knowing the ins and outs of the property and event planning, its hard not to fall in love with her and her enthusiasm. Vine Hill House is a perfect location because Dan has already personally vetted most vendors. He works closely with the catering company and DJ and facilitates the running of the show for the day of the wedding. The catering vendor (we went with Park Avenue) and the DJ (AMS) were excellent in their own rights. Their fantastic relationship with Dan, their commitment to quality, service and detail, match that of Vine Hill House and made the day even more special. (We reviewed them separately as well.) ;-) Our wedding day was magical and because of the expert help and smooth functioning of Vine Hill House, we got to enjoy the venue and our guests instead of worrying about managing the event. Dan and Dawnyel and the rest of the crew went above and beyond to let us be in the moment and celebrate our day. Many of our guests told us is was the best wedding they had ever attended. We left Vine Hill House with our hearts full of love and beautiful memories. It was a bit hard to say good-bye to Dan and Dawnyel that night, they were such an important part of our wedding process. We were married on April 8th 2017. The Rain and cold weather wasn't even an issue, We had the best experience. Dan and Jan and Dawnyel were more than amazing! There was not one second where I was stressed or worried about a thing including the weather! Dan said smile and don't worry this rain will be out of here before you walk down the isle and boy was he right! Literally 1 hour before the ceremony started the sky just opened up and it was absolutely beautiful! Never doubt Dan he knows his stuff! The ceremony and Reception were both outdoor it ended up being a very cold day that day but Dan had so many heat lamps out that even the cold weather wasn't a issue. All the guests were comfortable and our wedding day was everything we wanted it to be! The Vine Hill house is hands down one of the most beautiful Venues I have ever been too! Dan and Jan and Dawnyel put that extra special touch which makes the VHH stand out from other venues! Sleep Easy and Just Book Vine Hill House for The Big Day We are STILL getting compliments about our wedding venue from all our guests. Honestly the team at Vine Hill House (VHH) is top notch and also very fun! They have done so many weddings there, where they have it dialed into a science so you don't have to worry about a thing. VHH's team also will cater to most requests and will do everything in their power to make what you'd like for the big day happen. Dawnyel, the day-of wedding coordinator is a must-book, she is extremely hard working and worth every penny and her price is much cheaper than booking your own outside of the venue. The owner Dan is also amazing to work with because he's very thorough and knows the property so well since he's lived there most his life (though some brides who are bridezillas likely wouldn't work well with him). Secondly VHH has nearly everything you need and a good chunk of it is already included in the price for the venue itself. Lastly planning a wedding was much easier since they already had a huge list of vendors they typically work with who know the venue really well. I CANNOT RECOMMEND THEM ENOUGH! We were married June 2016 here and I cannot say enough wonderful things. I've worked in special events for many years so I know how things are suppose to go. I was very particular about things and Dan helped us execute. We had so many guests tell us it was the best wedding they've ever attended! Dan is wonderful and kept in touch with us (meetings too!) every step of the way so we didn't feel stress on the big day. He keeps things moving on your day too so nothing gets too far off schedule.
