As chefs: each breakfast is an event. Larry makes his own bread, using his own starter, native yeasts. The outcome is amazing. He creates the main dish for each breakfast, from feather-light soufflés to elaborate egg dishes. Pam specializes in pastries and fruit dishes. As guides: they connected us with the most phenomenal Sonoma winemakers: Mike Talty, Carol Shelton, Phyllis Zouzounis, and many others. As artists: each guest room, and the dining room, is a study in color coordination, local art, and period accessories. As winemakers: they even have a vineyard of Riesling grapes, and made a wine from it blended with Viognier grapes! We emerged spoiled, happy, and grateful that they were such caring hosts. We booked the Milkroom, and there was no heat. They wanted us to plug in an old heater for heat. The owner, Larry, was super strange. I don't even want to say what he did when he answered the door. It's like a haunted house, cobwebs and all. We left and went to the Flamingo Hotel. Awesome. The advertising that it did not include breakfast was hidden behind a button and not out front. They posted no breakfast next to the listing after I was surprised about no breakfast with the Milkroom. Although even with breakfast and a dancing bear we could NEVER have stayed in this dump.

She helped create one of the most unforgettable moments for not just for me but family and friends. Her attention to detail made the venue even more beautiful. The open space and room to customize our event was above all else. The owners were very flexible with times, dates and pretty much everything. The pictures don't do the estate justice! I loved walking through the entire place. It has a gated entrance so you don't have to worry about intruders. Since it's a large estate, you can walk or drive the golf cart to the tea house or to the animal gates (there are llamas, goats, rams, and turkeys). Brion, the property manager, was really nice and helpful. He gave us a tour of the estate and helped us out during the wedding. Franny, the property dog, is very cute also! She's a very friendly dog. The estate features a bocce ball area, a huge pond, 4 bedrooms, a loft office, a garden, an outdoor deck/patio with grill, 3.5 bathrooms, a guest house, a huge kitchen, huge family/living room with fireplace sitting on 4200 sq. ft. of land. The decor is beautiful and the design of everything is amazing. You don't really have to bring your toiletries or anything like that. There are toiletries, towels, kitchen utensils, blankets, pillows, etc. for people to use. The entertainment system was a little confusing but there are directions for everything. All the light switches are nicely labeled so you know what light you're turning on. I would love to live in this house but can't afford it. Haha...but it's like a dream house! =) It's also a cute little intimate place to have a wedding also (duh the whole reason why I was there).

A really well-kept picturesque property where any picture you take is social media ready. We picnicked with the food that they gave us. That was enough, really well packed and delicious. And the ambiance was casual enough to bring both the kids and canine family members.

Unfortunately, several things throughout the experience left us disappointed, especially considering the price. The pool menu lists several wines, but we were told that the only options actually available were Sauvignon Blanc and Prosecco. My mom specifically wanted the Pinot Noir listed on the menu, so it was disappointing to find out that it wasn't available. We ended up ordering two glasses of Sauvignon Blanc. The menu clearly lists it at $14 per glass, but we were charged $18 per glass ($36 total). I'm not sure if the menu was outdated or if there was an additional charge that wasn't explained, but the discrepancy was confusing. After having our drinks, we went to sit in a couple of lounge chairs that did not have reserved signs on them. Leo, the bartender, came over and told us that the chairs were reserved because they were in front of a cabana. We were happy to move, but it was frustrating to be told this after the fact when there was nothing indicating that the chairs were reserved. The pool area was also fairly quiet, so the interaction left us feeling unnecessarily unwelcome. None of these things individually would have been a huge deal, but together they made the experience feel less polished and relaxing than we expected from a spa at this price point. The property itself is lovely, but for over $400 for two massages, I expected more attention to detail, accurate menu pricing, and a more welcoming experience. Unfortunately, there were just too many small disappointments for this to feel like the elevated spa experience we were expecting.
