We chose to rent out The Meadow space near the river to have an outdoor ceremony and had an indoor reception. First off, MRCC is good for those on a budget. The hall has big glass doors that can open out onto the outdoor area, giving the room a more spacious feel. We had around 70 guests and we could have fit many more. We loved the tall ceiling and wooden beams. The kitchen area was also spacious and manageable. I very much appreciate how much flexibility the center provided us. It helped give us freedom for creativity. Many other spaces we researched allowed only beer and wine, and made you choose from a limited selection of caterers (many, if not all, were outside of our budget). We could choose any caterer we wanted, and provided our own alcohol. Jean was a treat to work with. She was funny, kind, communicative, reliable, and prompt. Whenever I had a question she responded within a few days. She met us numerous times at the center and answered all the questions I had (many times I asked the same one twice, thank you for your patience). She was very warm and made the planning process more enjoyable. As for the meth head from the previous review (from 2013) I did not run into him. I don't think he lives there anymore. The grounds took our breath away, but it was also Denise's expertise and understanding of our limited budget that helped us decide this was the right venue. Throughout planning Denise was amazing and answered all of my insane questions and did multiple tours with family members. We decided to go with Preferred Sonoma Caterers from their vendor list and we were really happy with them as well. Sova including tables and chairs was amazing, and we did all our other rentals through PSC. We also rented the farmhouse for the week which I highly recommend. Our pictures from around the house turned out amazing. I have to stress that the website pictures don't do this place justice. It's beyond gorgeous. Overall, Sova was an exceptional backdrop to our day and I highly recommend it as a venue. Schedule a tour if you're on the fence, you won't regret it!

We rented the Coop as well to get ready and it was such a perfect spot to be on the property but tucked away from the main grounds. Our guests continue to say how magical the wedding weekend was because of our venue! Guests walk through olive trees and into an open cocktail space with an abundance of flowers and fresh lavender. The ceremony site is under a beautiful large oak tree overlooking the Alexander Valley. The backdrop really sold me on why we had to get married at Ru's! Dinner was in front of the barn with twinkly lights. Then the dance party was in the barn where we also had lounge seating, and dessert! We had 140 guests which felt like just the right amount of people and the spaces all flowed nicely for it to feel like we could all be together the entire evening- without it feeling too large. It's beautiful and charming in a way that photos barely capture, but that's just the start of it. Lele, the venue owner was a joy to work with. We could tell how much love and care she puts into the space and that working with her would be the opposite of the cookie cutter, corporate experience we've experienced at other popular venues. She provided a thorough tour of the space, a really helpful preferred vendors list, and other wonderful tips and tricks. All the preferred vendors were top tier, and it ended up saving us a ton of time and we were guaranteed a high quality end to end experience. Other key benefits of Ru's: 1. The venue is available the entire wedding day which provides a lot of flexibility 2. There is a beautiful, 3-bedroom cottage on the properties that was perfect for getting ready 3. Unlike vineyards, this property has all the perks of a vineyard (oversees a vineyard) but also allows all types of alcohol (not just beer and wine) 4. The design of the space and the transition between different phases of the day (ceremony, reception, dancing, etc) was seamless This venue is a rare treasure, I would certainly suggest snatching a date before they are all gone.

First lets start with how beautiful the property is, amazing views of the vineyard, cute quaint atmosphere, and just a great spot for an event. Now some of the things I thought about. Parking is non-existent and while there was a shuttle, it took over 20 minutes to turn around, something I think the venue owners should think about. Bathrooms were outhouses, I assume were brought in. The gravel walkway to the wedding area around the pool was problematic. I watched at least 10 senior guests not being able to get down the path and even with help it was difficult. The grass around the pool had been freshly watered, and was green and lush, but the chairs sunk into the grass. The dining tables were cramped and so difficult to eat at. I do not know if the family invited over suggested capacity, but it was definitely an issue. For a small event (50 or less) I would say this could be a great venue, any more than that, and if you have older guests, between the paths and the parking, I'd certainly consider those things.

At the time it says, take 35 seconds to book it online. They are in demand and reservations book up within 15 minutes. Its not a hard thing to do, just be logistical. Upon arriving. Parking was easy with a volunteer guiding us. We picked almost 10 pounds of apples, bought local beef and honey and enjoyed the gorgeous backdrop of western marin's rolling hills. They have a portapotty and plenty of volunteers to help guide you. If you want a tour, thats great, if not go at your pace. My advice: bring a backpack, bucket, collapsible cooler and water. Its only an hour or so dont pack a lunch. And enjoy your afternoon, we thoroughly did;)

A couple of years ago, I was looking for a place to host our wedding reception. Anyone planning a wedding in Sonoma County knows that venues don't come cheap. With a guest list of nearly 200, we were starting to freak out. The Furth Center came across my list and I decided to check it out again, just for the heck of it. The look we wanted for the wedding was an old Spanish mission feel and the Furth Center definitely delivered. It was like I was looking at it through a new set of eyes. I don't know if they had remodeled or if I was just that blind when I was in high school, but it really is a gorgeous facility. I had some concerns as the event date drew near, since the man I had been coordinating with ended up leaving and a new person was put in charge of my event. Many of the files had gone missing and a lot of the things he had promised were not written down. However, the new coordinator took care of everything (along with their facility manager- ugh, I wish I could remember her name!). Our wedding reception was a hit and they really took care of us. The dance floor is pretty big and there is PLENTY of room for tables/seating. They have a stage (where we put the dj) and they took care of setting up the tables and bars. I hired a cleaning crew to pick up after the event, since they're not responsible for that, but that's understandable. Their outdoor fountain area was perfect for pictures. The ceiling had white linen draped with twinkly lights, which really gave it a nice vibe. I'm so glad we booked with them! I would do it all over again! :)

A coworker of mine just spoke to me regarding her wedding at Krug and low and behold, she's not happy with your services either, you were not transparent about the time/events taking place the day of her wedding and you gave her samantha which she said is inexperienced as well. It won't be me having the only problem with your company and others have huge issues with your company .. But how you went about everything like saying my budget/finances on an online platform without my consent and taking our deposit and applying it somewhere without our consent is poor form and illegal ... very unprofessional and not good if you work in our business.

We got married on 5/18/24 at Paradise Ridge Winery and have nothing but wonderful things to say…read moreabout our primary coordinator, Marissa Sartory. She's kind, caring and an ally during our planning process. She's quick to respond to all communications, reassured us when we had concerns, understood our budget, and did a fantastic job anticipating our needs. After 9 months of working with Marissa, there was an unexpected turn of events caused by some turnover/changes in roles. We were informed that our day-of coordinator was now Paige Hough. Although Marissa was still our main point of contact, we now had to shift our trust to another individual who was to execute our wedding day wishes, which was unnerving. Most of our planning including vendors and major details had been taken care of in collaboration with Marissa, so we were flexible with our transition to a different coordinator/director of operations (Paige), even though it was not our preference. This is all not to say that our wedding was not amazing, but it was something that we did not anticipate and did cause added stress. Marissa continued to support us during the transition and made us feel comfortable with the changes; without her we would not have been as confident. We really wish we could have seen everything through with our original coordinator, Marissa, as she spent months helping us and investing her time with us, but it did not work out that way. Again, our day turned out to be wonderful with the assistance of friends, family, & all staff (milestone, Paige, and other) but we feel that since we had such a close working relationship with Marissa, there would be no cons listed below if we continued to work with her: Pros: -One stop shop for everything with flexibility in regard to vendors. -Things went smoothly as structured in our wedding timeline; no major hiccups or issues that we noticed. We had the assistance of the DJ, who is our good friend (DJ Willie G), who was additional help with coordination in terms of timeline and other details. Not sure if the day would have been different without him but we saw/know that he was one of our greatest allies on the day. -Catering: Food from Girl and the Fig (buffet style) was fantastic, and staff were attentive. Would recommend this caterer to anyone else. We had comments from many people saying "this was the best food ever!" -Rehearsal: We had an issue with a promotion offered to us initially, likely due to staff turnover in Milestone Estate Kitchen (MEK). Rehearsal was to be part of the Girl and the Fig catering package but some issues with booking occurred, and it was missed. MEK, specifically Dan, made everything right & it turned out great. We loved our alternative solution, and appreciate Dan and MEK for working with us to resolve the issue. We believe that if this was to occur with any other coordination service, this would not have been resolved in such a way. We appreciate Milestone, its staff, and Dan for helping us with this. Cons: -Potential for turnover and change in staffing which can add stress and be a detriment to overall continuity. -There was some miscommunication between the venue and milestone regarding where we could store our decor list items when we came for rehearsal. Instead of a private, indoor space as promised, we were told to keep all our delicate florals & decor items outside, overnight. we did not feel this was the fault of our coordinator but the venue, as they booked an event which required use of our promised space the day prior to our wedding, which is when we needed to drop everything off. Fortunately, Paige stepped up and offered solutions to either bring all the florals to Milestones' office and transport them herself the next day, or she return after the event ended and move the delicate items indoors. We really appreciated that she offered a resolution and accommodated us to ensure our items were stored safely. -As we were sent off prior to the end of our wedding, we were made aware by some members of our wedding party that some things weren't packed up as directed in our décor list. Some of the items which we wanted returned did not end up where they were directed to be placed. So, in essence, we are missing some items which we were hoping to keep. -We were made aware that an entire sheet cake wasn't put out and was almost left in the fridge. This was supposed to be served and/or packed up for us to take home. All in all, if we were to do it over again, we would still choose to work with Milestone. Their coordination services and resources were extremely helpful and relieved some of the stress involved with planning a wedding. If you follow their structure and timeline, and utilized their tools and resources, you will be set up for a successful event. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend their services to my friends and family. Thanks for helping us pull off an amazing day which we will remember forever.
