I came here last week for a really close friends wedding and I had a great time. This venue is pretty small which was perfect for the 30+ guests in attendance. The wedding took place outside in front out of this mini watermill and farm tower. Although the watermill didn't really server any purpose, it looked nice and was a good setting for the ceremony. All the grass was artificial which looked stunning but was a little bit of a disappointment when we found out it was fake. The indoor area was kind of quirky with low ceilings and what seamed to be unstable floor boards. It reminded us of something from Willie Wonkas Chocolate Factory. Someone said it use to be an old chicken coupe and that didn't surprise me. All in all I think this place would be a great place to have a low key outdoor wedding.

My good friend just got married here. Great venue for a simple & lovely wedding. We had roughly 175 people with no problems and could easily have 200+. outdoors with a nice but not over bearing garden. separate areas for wedding, reception, and dancing. overflow parking in back. All the service personnel were awesome and nice. Feet won't get muddy due to the artificial grass. Multiple restroom locations for guests. We also held our rehearsal dinner on site in a cottage where the brides maids also spent the night.. Overall: ***** Thank you for a great experience!

I only have wonderful things to say about Sova. My wife and I got married there on August 23, 2014. My wife and I new from the very moment we walked into the venue back in July 2013, that this was where we were going to get married. No questions asked, this was the place. We were having a small and intimate wedding of about 75 guests. Paul had suggested switching things up a bit by having the ceremony where dinner would normally be, and having dinner where the ceremony was. It was great. It made our whole day even more intimate and meaningful by having all our guests closer together. There were 3 bathrooms on the property, and the 'grass' was actually turf, which I really liked because that meant our guests and myself wearing heels, wouldn't have an issue with sinking in the ground. My wife has an aunt who is in a wheel chair, and she commented on how wheelchair friendly the turf was, and how accessible the whole venue was for her. Every contact and communication with Paul & Denise were met with timely responses. Every request, regardless of the size was eagerly granted. Working with Paul & Denise thru the whole process, from the contract, to the deposit, to my questions months before, weeks before, days before, and the day of, were second to none. Any question or doubt was met with answers and reassurances. We rented the farm house that is on the property which was great to have. I stayed there with my "best person" Friday night after the rehearsal. Their is no WIFI in the house, which I feel was the only draw back, but it was nice to be a bit more unplugged so I could focus on what the next day was brining. We got the keys the day before the wedding, so we were able to meet w/our vendors when they dropped off their deliveries. This was extremely helpful! When we arrived on Friday, the tables and chairs were already set up, so if we needed an additional table set up, it was done. It was great to see the venue start to come alive. The day was great. The gardens were in full bloom, and smelling amazing. The day was warm, but not so hot. Our guests complimented us so many times on how beautiful the venue was. We didn't have to add much as the lighting was all done, and the umbrella's add an extra element was wonderfulness. When everyone had gone for the night, we met up with Denise. We asked if it would be possible to leave the lights on over the patio. She said yes, and showed us where the power was so we could shut them off when we were done. We sat, and just took in how amazing the day was, having all our friends and family there with us, and how awesome Sova was. So THANK YOU to Denise & Paul for making us feel welcome, accepted, and supported. We really have nothing bad to say. It was a picture perfect weekend, and it will go down as one of the best days of our lives.

Fantastic wedding venue. The owners are great to work with, helpful and flexible and really provide everything you could want out of your ceremony/reception location.

We were very excited to each have our own rooms with attached bathrooms, and felt like QUEENS... I personally was in Room #6 upstairs with a cute little balcony. The bed was so luxurious and ridiculously comfortable that it made it really hard to get out of bed and face the day (side note: they are clearly brand-new beds and incorrectly spoken about on that negative review, so take that one with a grain of salt, SMH); Some had deep jetted tubs, some had ADA walk-in showers, something to accommodate everyone's needs! Each bathroom even had extra amenities you wouldn't expect like make-up remover and cotton balls - such a nice touch! One thing I was worried about was the traffic noise at night, but it was not an issue at all, which just shows that the insulation renovations that were completed really were impeccable and every last comfort was thought of for their guests. Access to the kitchen and laundry facilities was also a huge plus as well for last minute weather needs! I highly recommend this gem in Sonoma County when you book your next wine country adventure! =)

This place is, by far, the most uncomfortable stay at any place, ever. History be damned. We were in a room RIGHT next to a main road that provided road and car noise all night long. It was LOUD. For myself, I experienced the worst two nights of 'sleep' that I can remember because of the noise and a mattress that should have been discarded YEARS ago. The gas fireplace didn't work. Zero instructions on how to get it lit. YouTubed how to get it lit, still didn't work. The condiment on this shit sandwich of a stay was the veranda outside our room having a security camera pointed directly toward the outside furniture where you'd sit. Zero chance of having ANY privacy. Its creepy and total bullshit. We can tell the place is owned by people that could not care less about the comfort of the guests, you're just income for them. Who puts cameras in private areas? We couldn't have disliked the place any more than we did. The place is a joke. It sure made a rough stay in Santa Rosa.

We chose to rent out The Meadow space near the river to have an outdoor ceremony and had an indoor reception. First off, MRCC is good for those on a budget. The hall has big glass doors that can open out onto the outdoor area, giving the room a more spacious feel. We had around 70 guests and we could have fit many more. We loved the tall ceiling and wooden beams. The kitchen area was also spacious and manageable. I very much appreciate how much flexibility the center provided us. It helped give us freedom for creativity. Many other spaces we researched allowed only beer and wine, and made you choose from a limited selection of caterers (many, if not all, were outside of our budget). We could choose any caterer we wanted, and provided our own alcohol. Jean was a treat to work with. She was funny, kind, communicative, reliable, and prompt. Whenever I had a question she responded within a few days. She met us numerous times at the center and answered all the questions I had (many times I asked the same one twice, thank you for your patience). She was very warm and made the planning process more enjoyable. As for the meth head from the previous review (from 2013) I did not run into him. I don't think he lives there anymore. I did not have any problems with non-guests. Thank you for helping us have the wedding we've always wanted!

Our game was the pirate themed Depths of Osiris (check out the preview vids on YouTube), and it was perfect for a team of an adult and two ten year olds. My boys had no trouble getting used to the VR gear they had to wear for the experience (a headset and two hand controllers - it was their first time). We had to cooperate to solve each room's puzzle to unlock a new room. Eventually, we got to the final scenario which was exciting and really required us to collaborate. The puzzles were well constructed and mostly understandable from a logic perspective. The graphics and sound were pretty decent (it's not super-high res like Cyberpunk) and matched the gameplay perfectly. We got some timely tips from the game master too, and cleared the puzzle with about a minute left on our 45 minute timer. The facilities are super clean and well maintained. They also have snacks and drinks which are nice to make the visit special for younger kids. My sons want to come back, and I do too. I also heard they are adding a physical escape room, so definitely something to look forward to.

I've been to Diablo Escapes twice now and have always been impressed by the customer service. Make sure you get there 15-20 minutes early so you have time to finish any waivers and get your packs set up for the room. There is an adjacent parking lot so you shouldn't have any issue finding any spot. You can easily book online and see what difficulty level each game is. If you've done VR or escape rooms before, you can probably start with intermediate. Each game will require some communication and teamwork to solve challenges or other puzzles. It can get a little hectic, so make sure you mesh well with your group (truly). The VR component really makes you feel like you've been transported to another place - be warned that it can make you feel a little queasy if you're not used to it, but the staff are great in making sure you are comfortable. They're quick to help troubleshoot if you get stuck or anything. Highly recommend if you're looking for a fun group outing. We went over to philz coffee after and then went to Bare Bottle Brewing for some lunch and drinks.
