Our visit to Lynmar Winery was unforgettable, and Thom deserves all the credit for making it so seamless and enjoyable. He welcomed us with such warmth and ease that the whole tasting felt more like visiting a friend than a formal winery stop. His service was attentive, thoughtful, and never rushed...he set the tone for a perfect afternoon. The wines were outstanding, and the pours were refreshingly generous, giving us time to savor each one. But what really surprised us was the food pairing...their olive oil popcorn. This wasn't just ordinary popcorn; it was drizzled with silky estate olive oil and mixed with dried fruit ground together so finely that every bite had this amazing balance of savory, nutty richness and a whisper of natural sweetness. Honestly, it might be the best popcorn we've ever tasted, and it elevated the wine experience in such a unique way. Between the delicious wines, the unexpected yet unforgettable popcorn, and Thom's incredible service, Lynmar has become one of our new favorite wine country spots. If you're lucky enough to have Thom host you, you're in for a treat.

Our experience was nothing less than amazing! Andrew, Johnny, Trey and Chef David (and team) were nothing short of absolutely fantastic, which made our experience exceptional. Definitely the place to start your trip! The Prosecco Posse loves yall!

The most beautiful property and divine wine. Must say.. If you're lucky enough to have Kate as your guide, you've truly lucked out - if at all possible, I highly recommend requesting her as your guide. She's basically a private somm for your tasting, with immense passion for not just Lynmar but the industry itself and has amazing depth of knowledge not only for parcels of land, history and just about everything I can think of - she's so friendly and charming, truly a joy to spend time with her. Oh and she's a huge foodie as well - massive bonus!

Beautiful and intentionally designed tasting room. Made a tasting reservation for a Thursday at 11am and were immediately escorted in, ordered sparkling rose, and seated at a table by the fireplace. Not a bad way to start a Thursday! Our host was knowledgeable and enjoyed geeking out on what makes their Pinots unique. If you enjoy cold-weather pinots, this small production winery is waiting for you! Lynmar is also known for their Chardonnays, which are very traditional in terms of oak and vanilla notes. To pair with the tasting, they provide complimentary house made popcorn- today's was a butternut squash infused, salted popcorn and it was divine. Paired very well with the rose and chardonnays. We also ordered some nibbles to share- their vegetable purse and soup. Both were exquisite and I recommend indulging while you are there. Ended up purchasing a bottle of their 2018 Wendling Vineyard (Block E) Pinot; which is a sign I would return and recommend for others. Cheers to enjoying good wine in a beautiful place!

We had a group of 4 couples celebrating a 40th Birthday in Healdsburg and started our day off at Lynmar for a tasting. All 8 of us agreed that it was by far the best winery of the day! First walking in we were absolutely in love with the beauty of the gardens. Could not be a more stunning atmosphere. And our server Tome was absolutely wonderful! He was in no rush to push us out the door (as often feels the case now with seated tastings). He was knowledgeable and clearly passionate about his job. Two of us joined the Advocates club and I cannot wait to get our first shipment! Great wine, perfect setting, wonderful service. Can't ask for more than that.

When I write a review I very rarely address the cost first, but I am surprised to find that most reviewers do not mention that the tastings here can be very expensive. We had a flight tasting for four. The wines were outstanding, there is no question about that, and the person who facilitated for us was also excellent, no complaints. But for $250 to have only some popcorn to nibble on between wines seemed a bit tacky to us. The gardens are lovely as well, so that sitting on a lovely day and tasting wine is really quite special. We bought several bottles. Later: my point was not to criticize the cost of the tasting per se, but to suggest that popcorn was inappropriate. A bit of cheese and crackers or something similar do not cost much.

Came for the collector's lunch and it did not disappoint. We were a few minutes early and they encouraged us to take a walk around the property and enjoy the view of the wildflowers, fruiting trees, small redwood grove and rows of vines. The lunch itself was delicious, well-paced in terms of timing, and the staff were a pleasure to talk to. Would definitely recommend!

This is one of the most beautiful wineries and vineyard properties in the Russian River, in my opinion. We became members the first time we visited. The wine, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, are spectacular from the pour, to the nose to the taste to the finish. The garden is a beautiful spot to taste with views of the lush garden and the vineyards beyond. The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. Chef Frakes prepares fabulous food that pairs so well with the wine. Try the lunch. It is absolutely 5 Star.

Yes, our outdoor tables are dog friendly and we have water bowls if you need. For health code reasons we are unable to host dogs inside the tasting room, but most dogs are happy to bask in the beautiful wine country sun on our outside patios!

They have a massive deck in front, and on a beautiful day, as we had, we got to sit out there and enjoy some delicious wines. I thought the wines were good, but I liked the space more. It has a bit of a retro vibe and many shaded areas to relax. We had a good time sipping and chatting. If you're in the area, I would say stop, get a few glasses, and enjoy that oversized patio. For some reason, the servicer was busy doing other things, although I think we were the only people there. I'll assume she was setting up or cleaning. The service was mediocre at best. We enjoyed the big patio/deck sipping with friends a perfect way to spend your Saturday afternoon. Cheers to you and SYOY

So after we hit Paul Matthew's Winery I had scheduled a visit with Bowman Cellars around the corner…read moreand was greeted by the energetic Flynn. She was attentive for awhile but then lost us because she stopped coming out and pouring more wine. I was booked for a one hour appointment that took 2 plus hours because Flynn seemed out of it or something was up. But idk what it was perhaps she was keeping herself busy with something inside! Hmmm ?! So she started us with a predominant gooseberry Sauvignon Blanc and then we had the Rose of Pinot Noir from Mendocino because the fruit is less expensive than the fruit in the Russian River Valley okay so it was decent with flavors of ripe red fruits such as strawberry and raspberry and a textured finish! Then we had the Chardonnay which was decent quality for a Chardonnay it had seen 20^ new oak gave it flavor and then we had the Russian River Valley Pinot Noir which was okay not great it had complexity but not much after hitting Paul Mathew's Pinot dense winery this Pinot seemed to be just okay and then we got to the final wine a red Zinfandel from the Sierra Foothills area and it was big and bold but lacking distinctive flavors. I didn't love it! . Then since they're not especially friendly towards those in the business because it's a 15% discount on wines purchased where I usually get a 30% discount and a comped tasting to which they usually will offer the rose' and Sauvignon Blanc to anyone in the industry!! Only I mean who is in the wine industry and wants to drink those wines, not me!! But I stand corrected because she did comp 2 of the tastings!! And that's good or required because I asked to be comped and was given some goofy answer as to they decide at the end of the tasting who gets comped or not but the fee is only $25 bones so not bad. Further, I requested to taste their Cabs to which theirs 1 from Alexander Valley and 1 from Oakville, Napa area and Flynn said yes, but warned me they had been opened on Thursday and it's Saturday so taken that point in I really liked the Cab from Alexander Valley because it had a light tone to it with a richness of blackberry fruit and savory spices it was superb while the one from Napa tasted dead on arrival!! Oh well but I could taste the potential of the wine within it!! And we left after tipping $40 bones!!

This business does not care about it's customers and is so impossible to reach it's almost comical…read more I was a long-term customer of Fog Crest. In 2024 we received a shipment of wine where all the wine in the shipment was broken. In typical situations, wineries offer replacement of broken bottles, but Fog Crest was impossible to reach in spite of (literally) 50 phone calls and emails. Since I couldn't reach them, I canceled my subscription to their wine club. Flash forward a few months, they charge me another ~$500 on my credit card for wine, but never ship me any wine (in spite of the fact that I had already canceled online). Again, dozens of calls and emails, no answer and no response. Still trying. A few months after that, they charge me ANOTHER ~$500 on my credit card for wine, but don't ship that wine to me either. After probably 100 calls and emails, I finally talk to the wine club coordinator on the phone. She of course acknowledges my dozens of messages, and acknowledges my situation. She says she will replace the wine that was broken and figure out why they've been charging me for wine I haven't been receiving and make it right. But that she can't talk right now and she'd call me back with more information. That was a month ago. I've now called again dozens of times, and emailed. No response. Called and emailed the owner, no response. This is borderline criminal: $1,500 in charges for undelivered product, a non-existent customer service experience, and an online system so archaic that it doesn't process your cancelation and continues to charge you for product.

Place was empty aside from one other party so they were able to accommodate the walk in. The tasting room itself is nicely decorated, clean, spacious, with a more private room in the back and several tables outside. Reason from giving this place a 5 stars is we felt this place was very transactional and not personable like many other wineries in the Sonoma area. Once the tasting flight is done they ask you to either join the club for the comp, buy two bottles, or pay the $35 tasting fee - no offer to revisit any wines or pour something extra they have in inventory. I was curious to try their Sonoma cost Syrah but they didn't have any bottles open. Wines themselves were fine - enjoyed the Pinot rose and Chardonnay (made in Chablis style so more minerality), but their Pinot noirs were quite different from the typical Sonoma coast ones I've had (e.g Williams seylem, Kosta browne, Rochiolli, Arista, etc). These were much darker and less aromatic, no tannins and fuller bodied with some spice notes but short finish. The gentleman pouring for us said these are good to pair with foods, which I could imagine is true. Their estate syrah is similar in style, so similar to their Pinot noir actually, a lighter bodies and ABV Syrah that doesn't have the depth and complexity as syrahs from Paso region that I personally enjoy. But anyways, these are personal preference - when I mentioned a specific tasting note, our host basically said I was wrong. I laughed it off and went along with it, but it didn't sit well.

I did enjoy the seating experience, the charcuterie box, and the mini impromptu tour everyone was given of the production.
