This was our last stop on our crush wine tour and what a fun experience it was. Our group was a little rowdy by this point so there was a bit of sass going on during our wine and cider tastings and the guides dished the sass back, which we all enjoyed. I opted for the sweeter wines tasting and found a favorite there. After the wine tasting the lead you outside to a cute patio area. Here they have not only wines but also mixed drinks which I highly recommend because they were delicious. we ended up meeting the owner who gave us the backstory which was a fun ad to the experience, and he mentioned walking down to the dock area. The dock is located down a steep hill. When you're walking down, you can't really see it so we thought it was this tiny little dock over on another property but it ended up being stunningly beautiful area to sit and relax and enjoy your drink. They shared a few stories with us and also the history of the land. We tried to buy the property for $12,000 which is what they paid for it initially, but we were shot down. If we're back in the area, we would definitely come back and buy a few bottles. Unfortunately, there were no ghost during our visit.

We came on a Crush wine tour. We chose the option of having a glass of wine on the waterfront deck. I only tried the unoaked Chardonnay and the Rosé. Both were perfect porch pounders for a 90 degree day and I brought home two bottles of each. The views by the lake were stunning and the ghost history made for a fun day.

This is the most "chill" place on the lake. Dogs running around, people chatting & acting like they're in the park with their friends. When u step I side, its a self guided wine flight, but a young lady gives the history of the place, which is very interesting as it is entertaining! After my flight I got a cup of the Lemberger, absolutely Devine. I was there with a bunch of ladies celebrating my friends 40th, and needless to say this was a good place to let our hair down. The gentleman inside took a bunch of pics for us..a must do and I will return!

Miles winery is known for being a haunted winery, which is the reason for our visit. We arrived 45 minutes before closing and had to wait 10-15 minutes before being seated, as they do not take reservations. It took quite some time for our table to be wiped down, so I'm docking off one star for that. They also require you to order food which is kind of a turn off as their menu is limited and of the package kind. As for the wines, they are pretty horrendous. Having said all that, the view is amazing and you can also sit on the dock.

We had a great time visiting this beautiful winery. The building is beautiful and the view is amazing. We enjoyed sampling the wines and then went down to the lake to enjoy the view.

We turned off the road spontaneously and found ourselves here. Great call by my husband who was driving. This was an excellent stop. We walked down to the boat house on the lake and had it almost to ourselves. It was so peaceful and pretty! The wine was good, nothing super special but the view and boat house made this stop worth it. Check it out!

On my travels along the seneca wine trail , I visited miles, they had a variety of dry red wines like cab franc, milestone, and treasure port. They also have dry whites like unoaked chardonnay, dry riesling, and the one that intrigued me ghost, since miles was listed on the haunted history trail I had to try it. It was a light , crisp and refreshing chardonnay, so of course I bought a bottle to take home.Last they have the sweeter wines such as cache, coasting and call me a cab.I enjoyed the beautiful scenery and will definitely be back. They also make a very tasty wine slushy.

After reading about Miles in the haunted history trail and while venturing around the seneca wine trail I decided to stop in for a tasting.Of course i had to try ghost it was a refreshing, crisp and light chardonnay, perfect for the hot summer day, it was so good I had to purchase two bottles. The winery offers many fine wines such as reds that include milestone, treasure port and lemberger. The sweeter wines are cache, wisteria and call me a cab. They also sell beer and ciders.Make sure to walk around the grounds and check out the beautiful scenery before leaving.

If you like historical grandeur , great drinks and exceptional service visit Miles Wine Cellars on Seneca Lake. We stopped by on a sunny winter Saturday. The first thing you'll notice is the unforgettable lake view, one word breathtaking . Once inside this historical beauty you are greeted as if you were family . We had a beer , wine and spirit tasting! It's hard to pick favorites when everything is so tasty! I love the Cache' for its fancy bubbles ! I also bought a bottle of the Ghost white wine..perfect table white and cool "haunted" label (I'm a sucker for a great ghost story) . We'll definitely be back !

Was a beautiful location - unfortunately it was pouring rain and we had our dog with us so couldn't sample the wares but hope to be back! For the location alone if nothing else!

A beautiful view from the bar.

I found this winery on a list of spots that are a must visit when doing your wine tour. Bare in mind there are over 30 which surround the lake so you might need to be discerning. I agree that Miles is a must stop. The first draw? This winery has access to the lake. Up close and personal. They have a bar and seating for a picnic right on the lake. No charge. Check my photos below. This spot was beautiful and I would imagine that in the fall it is truly breathtaking. I am betting many wedding proposals have occurred in this spot :) After a substantial climb up from the lake the tasting room is inside a fairly cramped area. The offer six one ounce pours for 6 dollars. I did find a couple that were worthy of purchase. I grabbed two bottles of the "Ghost" that was a very balanced and refreshing white wine. Whether you are there for the scenery or the wine this spot earned my vote as a must visit. If you are looking to score bonus points with the lady head down to the bar on the dock!

Fabulous dry red and whites. The outside atmosphere on the dock is so relaxing and the view is amazing. They offer sweet whites as well. The bar on the dock offers beer, wine and spirits.

Beautiful spot to check out! I didn't love their wines, but their ciders and gin was so goood!!! Took covid precautions and socially distanced tables.

Fully checked in by 4:30PM. Went to the room & were met with a strange, musty smell. Figured we would just deal with it since it was only 1 night. Got ready & left to head to Watkins Glen for dinner & wandering. When we returned to the hotel around 9:30PM, we were met with a live band blasting music literally directly outside of our door and a loud bar beneath our room. There was absolutely no mention of this happening when we were checking in. I went down to the bar and asked someone who seemed to be working there what time the band was finishing and what time the bar closed. She had no idea and had to ask someone else behind the bar. They said the band was finished at 10:30, and the bar would stay open "as long as there were people there". I went back to our room and my husband and I decided to wait it out until 10:30 and pray that it would be better when the band was done. 10:30 comes, the band wraps up.. 10:35, music starts blasting from the speakers again. We were exhausted and just wanted to sleep, so we made the decision to find a different hotel and leave the Showboat. We quickly packed up and packed the car, and I called the number listed online for the hotel. Bri answered, and I told her that I was very upset over the noise and lack of communication regarding the band and bar when we checked in, and that we were leaving. I told her we would appreciate a refund and that the room was empty. She told me that this was not the first call she's received about the noise outside the rooms we were in, and they do not give refunds. I am blown away by the lack of customer service and compassion. We were only checked in for a little over 6 hours, yet paid an absurd amount for a full overnight stay in a rundown, musty, loud motel. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. We ended up at the Harbor Hotel in Watkins Glen and had an exponentially better experience!

The traditional honey mead had a beautiful, light honey flavor with a little alcoholic kick. I might not drink this straight, but I could think of many ways to blend that beautiful honey flavor into drinks. Then we tried the mead blended into fruit wine. I liked the raspberry blend but blueberry was my favorite. The very clear taste of the fruit was beautiful with the honey notes and you knew it wasn't just a juice drink..the alcohol was there as well. The ciders were a nice surprise taste wise. I'm not a big cider fan, but when I tasted the gold medal winning Strawberry and crisp apple cider it was a win for me. The single fruit choices of all these were selections were wonderful.... sometimes the blending of different fruits leaves to confused tastes for me. Our bartender was very nice and friendly and helpful. It also has a winery Torrey Ridge in the same facility.
