I was honestly dreading my move just the thought of packing everything, hauling furniture, and coordinating times made me want to stay put forever. But after a friend recommended this moving company, I decided to give them a shot, and I'm so glAd I did. From the first phone call, they were professional and surprisingly easy to talk to. The team showed up right on time (early, actually) introduced themselves, and got straight to work. What really impressed me was how careful they were with my things especially my antique mirror and a heavy upright piano that I was worried about. They wrapped everything securely and treated it like it was their own. About halfway through, it started pouring rain, and I was sure the move would slow down or my stuff would get soaked. But they had tarps and covers ready and not a single box was damaged. They even wiped off their shoes before walking on the new carpet in my place which I really appreciated. It's rare these days to find a company that does exactly what they say they will on time, with no surprises, and with actual care. Worst experience I have ever had, movers were rude and just throw my stuff in random boxes without regard for fragile items. They literally loaded my stuff on the truck one item at a time to drag out the time. I was charged for more boxes than what was actually used, when I went back to clean my previous apartment I found that the had left behind the unuesd packing materials in the apartment. However the worst part was when it came time to pay I was giving a bill larger than expected. I disputed the amount they called the office and the secretary agreed to take half the amount in payment for the time being. When I was shown the amount I was authorizing on their card reader it said $849.43, I signed for that amount and 5 minutes later the guy came claiming it didn't go through, asked to see the card again handed back to me and ran out the door. I was immediately alerted by my bank that I was actually charged $1267.43. When I contacted the owner Manny to complain that his employee changed the amount on the charge and that was not the amount I authorized to be charged he threatened me, I told him I did not receive a copy of the work order I signed or a receipt for the payment. He threatened me again,Itold me how many lawyers he had and could take me for everything I owned. I informed him that I had opened a fraud investigation at my bank. I just have to write a review about this company. I had these guys load a moving truck for me back in November of 2015 as I was moving out of Denver. When I moved back a couple weeks ago I remembered how great they were the first time and wanted to use them again. Unfortunately I had and accident with the moving truck on the way and lost most of my belongings. When I called to cancel their service the owner was so kind...he even offered to keep an eye out for furniture that other clients were getting rid of until I got back on my feet. Manny was so helpful on the phone with getting me some movers for the weekend. The guys arrived two hours earlier than expected which was a big plus in my book. The pricing was reasonably as well. The downside however, was that they were a little careless with some of my items. Two glasses were shattered, my small cart was broken on one side, the mattress had dirt streaks along the corners, and they neglected to wrap a $300 coffee table which left huge gouged marks on the surface. I don't think I'll use this company again but I really appreciated their help. read more

Would give zero stars if possible. The guys showed up wreaking of pot. Moved at a leisurely pace and had to stop and come back the next morning to finish loading our truck. (They said they had another job to do.) Charged us extra for having to come back on a Sunday. Then, when we unloaded our belongings, I discovered they had totally destroyed my dining table. I had recommended they take the base off when loading it. He assured me it would be fine. He piled heavy boxes on top of the table breaking the base beyond repair. I spoke with the main loader when I discovered the damage, he said he would have his manager get back to me. He never did. I left five or so messages, still no response. They also damaged my leather desk chair--leaving a hole in the side and scratches across the back. They also left my tv mount on the wall because they had no tools..... Very sloppy job. My wife and I just used Mile High Movers to move from Lakewood to Arvada. The owner, Manny, was extremely friendly and upfront about all costs. We also didn't give him much notice of our move, and he squeezed us into his schedule. This was very much appreciated. Manny was also very thorough by giving us a call the day before the move, and the day of. His staff of three showed up early the day of the move, and immediately started working. They took just a couple 5 minute breaks here and there, but otherwise they worked their tails off all day. They completed the move from the old home and into the new home within an 8 hour time-frame. This is quite impressive as we moved a 2,700 square foot home with a lot of boxes and furniture. The movers were kind enough to ask us which rooms we wanted boxes in, and also did some furniture assembly. We had a great experience with Mile High Movers and highly recommend their services! The absolute worst, underhanded moving company run by a guy named Manny. Don't be fooled when reading other bad reviews for Mile High Movers. In each of those, Manny claims that it's not his company, rather "another start up" who provided bad service. Read all the one star reviews that this company has and the pattern response of Manny. Gave Manny my credit card number "to reserve a spot" and thereafter I cancelled within a couple of hours. Next thing I know there's a $100 charge on my credit card which he subsequently claimed was a cancellation charge that he never told me about initially and he refused to take it off. I had a move scheduled today at 9am. No one showed up or called. I called the company and got an automated message saying the number was disconnected. So, I called from another number and it went through. They blocked my original number. I explained to the person who answered the phone that I had an appointment at 9 and no one has contacted me. I explained everything I had to move in detail over the phone. Have some heavier items, but they are all on casters and just needed to be wheeled out of the garage. As such, I was told on the phone that I didn't have to pay any extra for them. When they got here, the story changed and I was told I'd need to pay $100 extra for about half a dozen items. Not a fan of this pricing as these items will slow the job down already making them more as they are charing per hour. If it was bid rate I could understand it. Other companies have quoted me flat rates. While I get pricing yourself out of jobs you don't want to do, I wish they had been honest about it, as now I am stuck moving in the middle of the week. If you have heavy items, keep shopping. Their are more capable and affordable companies out there. 1 star off for the foot in the door price change, 1 more for the fee pricing on top of an hourly schedule, and 1 star off for putting me in a bind due to their lack of accuracy and honest in their bid (could have asked come out or asked for pictures as their competition did). Their service may be great, but I will never get a chance to try it. I want this review to be as accurate as possible and will add that the crew was very polite and seemed professional. They tried to charge me a $100 fee for not going through with move at the higher rate to lash back against me for writing this review. I've had two great moving experiences with Mile High Movers now, and will continue to use them in the future when possible. They moved me into my new apartment, and then out of the same apartment a year later. Dalton was the main point of contact both times, and he and his other moving partner (different both times) were friendly, quick, and efficient. Both moves were completed in under two hours (the minimum requirement), they went above and beyond to ensure everything was moved with care. My most recent move occurred at the end of March 2020 as the COVID-19 pandemic was really starting to escalate, but fortunately there were no issues with my scheduled move. The whole moving process can be stressful so I appreciated that Mile High Movers offered a friction-less experience on both occasions. Exceptional customer service! I reached out in a pinch to get some help with a move and Manny was extremely helpful despite my terrible cell signal. Offered to have movers come out within 3 hours of my call to move my stuff. I ended up moving almost all my stuff out on my own and just needed help with hoisting a sofa so I called a specialist. Manny went the distance and followed up with well-wishes for my move, despite not using them. The absolute worse moving experience ever. The movers had no sense of how to pack. I found items like my eyeglasses at the bottom of a huge box without protection. Shampoos were found in a box spilled all over my clothes. My shoe rack and mirror are broken. The movers smoked weed and were completely unprofessional. One of them constantly hit on me and made it so awkward. They ended up getting a parking ticket and yelled and cussed and threatened at the workers in the leasing apartment. Called this company to inquire on moving services. I was quoted a price of $40.00 per hour per man 3 hour minimum and $100.00 truck fee. Seemed a touch higher than the competition and when I confronted the representative to this fact he claimed that he is licensed and insured and has a BBB rating. I stated that the competition has the same credentials he just stated. This is where he became irritated by my comment and stated "good for them". I said "it is good for them I think I will call them for a quote." and then he proceeded to hang up the phone on me. It seems to me in business and sales of services, you should try to show the interested consumer why you are better than the competition in a positive way, rather than becoming defensive when confronted with facts. I would not conduct business with a company that, in my opinion, thinks they are far superior and better than everybody else in town. read more

I used Mile High Movers to help me move and the showed up 45 minutes late to start. The two guy were nice enough but the went so fast trying to get the job done that they did not move everything. They moved a sectional, took off the cushions, and legs. They left them behind. During the move they ended up dropping one of the main pieces of furniture. I will see if it was damaged. After my move, they had 2 move jobs. I will think hard before using or recommending these guys to anyone. read more

I specified these two boxes have blankets to cover furniture, they didn't use one blanket. I thought they were doing a good job but I didnt watch them the entire time so i missed a few things. Well lots of furniture was ruined and scratched. When I call Manny to explain what happened he said "Tough shit not my problem" then I stated I might have to get my attornet involved he said he had three attornys so what. Anyone who runs a business who prides them selves in hidden fees and keeps three attorneys on retainer is clearly a crooked POS. Hes all nice till you give him your credit card number. Ok the owner Manny stated the cost would be $250 for the first 2 hours and $100 an hour after that. What he did not say is that there is a trip charge $100 and if the movers use any of their own shrink wrap he charges $50 for materials. I had my own toll of shrink wrap and they ran out and used thier role on one piece of furniture ($50) Plus he wont tell you that if they move anything over 200lbs its $100 an item. The invoice I was given totalled up to $550 but the guy driving the truck who filled out the paper work wrote on the invoice $650 total, then they add tax to it so ended up being $698 when I was quoated $450 Then they after I told the guys packing the truck I had removed the gas from my pressure washer I specificly told them there was still crankcase oil in it. Well they decided to stack it on top of my furniture on its side and it leaked oil all over our furniture. I tipped them some cash and also gave them some weed from my grow room, I thought they were honest and dependable guys, guess not! Run fast from these guys! read more

Slowest grown men I've ever seen. Moving a furnished, packed one bedroom apartment on the ground floor only from Aurora to Glendale cost me 4 times the amount quoted. These two guys took more smoke breaks than any combined time working. When the bill came out to nearly $1000, I had to beg and grovel on the phone to make payments. I just finished the last one and want every one to know that this company will suck you dry and have no regrets. Expensive, terribly rude, slower than any human should be... Just don't waste your time and money. Pay real professionals. Oh, and when I informed then of how unhappy I was, he told me that one of the guys who moved us was no longer with the company and do not fair to judge by him. They arrived on time and worked continuously until the job was done. All my items arrived safely at my new location too! The total cost of the move did come out a little higher than expected with some shipping supplies and a little longer move time due to the elevator situation, but one call to Manny and hey made things right. There were 4 movers to move a 4BR house. Two were full time employees and the other 2 were hired for the day. They arrived late and then did not finish until midnight. They were polite and worked hard but somehow inefficient--it took them much longer than previous movers. Despite my careful description of what needed to be moved, which was everything, they left several items at the house. Worse is that expensive furniture got scratched, and several items are unaccountably lost. They did not wrap furniture in protective plastic and they did not have adequate moving blankets. There is an agreement that they are only liable for damage if reported within 24 hours, but in the chaos of moving we were not likely to notice the furniture scratches the next day. I would not use Mile High Movers again, and I would not recommend them. read more

It wasn't made clear that I had to pay for three hr minimum. The owner talked me into a third guy and charge 120 per hour. They took 45 minute breakfast break between moving ONLY furniture no boxes no appliances between my townhouse and new home three miles away. Charged way too much and scratched my stuff. I have used this company once in the past and had a great experience. This time, I did not. I paid a packing fee and a travel fee that I was not made aware of over the phone. The movers tried to start the clock 30 minutes earlier than when they actually arrived, they took an hour longer to move a shorter distance than last time, and broke my mirror and coffee table. They did not even notify me that the mirror was broken. I called the company afterwards and was only reimbursed $40, and was told to fix the coffee table myself by buying the missing piece at a hardware store. It took 4.5 hours and cost over $630 to move 2 people 10 minutes away, and stop at a storage unit. I feel completely taken advantage of and will not use them again. **EDIT** After the company read this review, they placed a stop payment on the $40 check that was sent to me for the broken mirror. This Mile Higher Movers were awful. I had schedule a week in advance with a 10' U-haul truck for 3 PM. When 3:40PM rolled around I called to ask where they were. Apparently the hired help who went by the name Vince and Robert Caswell said they had grabbed a small part time job. I was irritated but decided to wait. At 5PM 2 hours after the arranged time I decided enough was enough and called and fired them. Turns out Mr. Vince had both phone numbers that I called and started to curse me out for firing him. Jamal and Brooklyn helped with my move. They were wonderful. Arrived on time and went over every detail of the move. They were quick and respectful of my time. I really appreciate that. Only reason for 4/5 stars was that a section of my dresser was broken during the move. Took a chunk right out of the corner. It's not a big deal, as this dresser lives in the closet and doesn't need to be pretty. They also showed up with less guys than I was expecting. I thought I'd have three movers, but only two showed up. I believe the job could have been finished at least an hour quicker with three guys, but as I said, Jamal and Brooklyn were great. read more

These movers moved me on July 1, 2015. They showed up 2 hours late for the move. When they started it was 10:30am. I had everything ready to go. For the first two hours everything went great. I thought they would have the trucked packed within the next hour or so. Then it slowed to almost nothing happening. It took them 3 more hours to pack the truck and even though they told me it would take one trip - it took two. The unpacking was even slower. I had three guys working on my move at $40/hour. The third guy had a brace on his hand and was almost useless despite the fact I was paying for him. I asked them to construct my kid's bed and my master bed - they didn't do either. In fact, they deconstructed my kid's toy chest and train table, lost screws to put them back together and left them unassembled. By 8:30pm that night I was done. They left boxes, my office filing cabinet, and treadmill in my garage. This move cost me $1500. It was the most expensive move I have ever paid for and I was left with more to do than any other move I have made. I could have gotten better movers for half the cost of this move and with better service. I would never recommend this moving service. read more
