I also did not feel that my concerns were handled with care during the appointment. I felt uncomfortable continuing, but at the time I did not know how to address it directly. Looking back, I wish I had asked to speak with a manager before the service continued. For a salon charging this price point, I expected a much more respectful and customer-centered experience. Clients should not leave feeling upset, uncomfortable, or regretful after paying over $300. I hope management takes feedback like this seriously and provides better training on communication, professionalism, and how to handle client concerns during a service. Allen is incredibly detail-oriented, and I leave happy with my haircut every single time. I originally planned to grow out my bob after dyeing my hair dark brown from blonde, but I hated the awkward in-between length, so I went back to Allen to refresh it instead. I'm so glad I did. Because my hair is so stubbornly straight, the curls didn't hold perfectly the first time around. But the founder is absolutely amazing--she was incredibly sweet and offered me a second session completely free of charge! In total, the process took about 5-6 hours, and the cost was $500 for the root lift and perm. It was totally worth it for the level of care, patience, and dedication they showed.
