Leading up to my appointment I was already very excited to meet Jessie and I was right to be! I left the appointment very happy with the results - my hair felt healthier and looked amazing. Jessie made sure with me throughout the appointment if I was okay with what she had recommended. She knew exactly where she wanted to start my layers and even took the time to show me how to style my hair on my own as well! At the previous hair salon they would thin out my hair so so much. Yes, it did feel lighter but often times I'd leave the appointment feeling as though they had thinned it out way too much. Jessie made sure not to thin it and even told me herself since I already had thin wavy hair it was best to avoid that. She mainly focused on using scissors rather than thinning blades to give me the layers I've wanted. Results came out amazing and I did not leave worried about how much hair I may have lost. The hairstyle she gave me is very easy to maintain as well as she assured me it would look fine as it grows out as well. So excited to go back and try out maybe a different style of bangs with her! Overall my experience with her was amazing, she was sweet, also had a nice little Korean drama on for me to watch. I definitely came into my appointment a little nervous since it was first digital perm, but Jin was extremely professional, sweet, and made sure I was comfortable during the appointment. Y'all, let me put you ON this place. Jessie/Jin is the best. The first time I came in was last year for a hair cut. I had just moved to the area again and wanted to find a hairstylist during my time here. It's my second time here! I came in knowing vaguely what I wanted (Some sort of lighter brown with bangs since I had black hair with no bangs lol). We chatted and then I simply trusted the process. She ended up giving me curtain bangs that can also be a little wispy also, and cut my hair to a length that looked soooo good. There was so much attention to detail when she was cutting too. It was great. For the color, she said that a lighter color might not actually look the best on me and a subtle brown might be better! I was pretty down for whatever she thought looked good so I trusted the process again. Let me tell you... this subtle brown looked so good with the cut. Also, my hair? Soft as HECK. It was kinda gritty before so I was shook when I touched my hair after the appt. She chatted with me lots and also gave me space too. It was a great balance and also she answered my questions!! I always have so many questions and she answered them all for me!! Including... how to style my hair because I suck at those things. I'll take any advice and tips I can get. Price is reasonable for OC too! TLDR; I walked in with messy hair that made me look dead inside and walked out with softer dyed hair AND styling knowledge. Upon arrival the salon was clean, bright & had trendy music playing. Jessie had a tablet if you wanted to watch a show on Amazon Prime while you had your hair done. Jessie took the time to ask what services I wanted. I went for a medium layers haircut & full chocolate brown colouring service. There was a bit of a language barrier, but she was very accommodating. I love the attention to detail at Korean salons like applying ointment around my face, ear covers, a face guard before dying my hair to avoid staining. She even offered me a Korean vanilla latte to drink while my hair was processing. After my hair wash & cut, she styled my hair & even gave me a small gift. I'm happy with my results. She recommended I use a hair oil daily & do hair masks to keep it healthy. I can't wait for my hair to grow out longer so I can get a digital perm for my straight flat hair. I would come here again. I found Jessie through a Reddit post recommending women's haircuts in OC. I messaged her about how much it would be for a long haircut and she responded so quickly! She was very welcoming and I gave her a inspo picture for how I wanted my haircut and she gave me that, but better!! She's very light handed and she made the process so comfortable. I've been looking for a forever hair stylist and I think I found one! She speaks Korean very fluently and me also being Korean, conversation flowed very smoothly and she explained how she was cutting my hair the whole time and made sure not to cut too much if I wanted to take more off since you can't glue hair back like she said Also if you have long hair she tells you to wash your hair the night before or just before the haircut because she doesn't want to spend a long time drying long hair (bc it does take a long time) she focuses on cutting the hair and styling which is way more important to begin with.
