I've been in desperate need of a trim and was having a hard time finding a salon I could trust after a traumatic haircut. I'm so glad I came across MOC Hair Studio! Allen is such a talented and experienced hairstylist. He was responsive, listened to what I wanted, and gave me exactly the hairstyle I asked for. I highly recommend him if you're looking for a trim, hair color, or any other hair service!
My latest visit was for a 6-inch cut to achieve a long bob style. Allen paid great attention to detail with the styling, highlights, and color. He did an amazing job, as always. Thank you!

Amazing cut and color with airtouch technique by Allen! His precision work with the hair-dye gave my hair a beautiful natural effect. Loved the haircut as well, my hair has movement and all of the length still. The salon has a peaceful and easygoing environment, he made it easy to tell him my requests. Sooo happy with my hair! He's also super nice and knowledgable about hair! My hair had no damage at all and we were still able to get pretty light despite me having thin hair. Also his prices are so reasonable! I previously went to a different salon 4 months ago. She wasn't able to get the red out and it honestly looked more orange-y than I wanted. But he was able to take out the red and neutralize the warmness. In love with my hair!! read more
This is my second time going to Moc Hair Studio and I didn't want to write this so I could gate keep Allen and his amazing work but I'm just so happy I finally found someone who can get me EXACTLY what I show with inspo pics. The first time I went to Allen was actually to fix my hair from my previous hair person. I was almost in tears because my hair was orange literally the week after I got it done and dropped so much money. my hair felt so dry and looked like I havent gotten my hair done in a year. I tried to tell myself it doesn't look that bad but the more I looked at it, the more upset I got. So I was looking for someone on yelp to help me fix this and came across Moc Hair Studio. The reviews were great and although I was nervous I couldn't stand to look at my hair anymore the way it was so I took the leap of faith and gave it a try. Allen was so informative and let me know what exactly my previous hair person did to make it look like that. He explained what he will do to fix it and throughout the entire process I could tell how meticulous he was. I felt like I was in good hands and after he was done, my hair looked like what I wanted it to look like in the first place!! I was so impressed with his work that I decided the next time I needed my hair done I'm coming back. Fast forward to yesterday.. I wanted a change with my hair so I decided to go back to Allen and see what magic he could work. I wanted to try something a bit different from what I usually go for and I knew Allen could do it but from previous trauma of going to the same person multiple times and never getting exactly what I wanted, I was still scared. Again he calmed my nerves by taking his time and making sure everything looked perfect. I've never been to anyone before where I felt like I was his only customer ever by the way he was taking second third and even fourth looks to make sure the color is right, the hair is even on both sides, and the hair is healthy and not damaged!! I've been going to Allen for 1 year now and he's the only one I trust/ go back to to get my hair done. I asked for a darker base with lighter highlights this time and it turned out SO GOOD, the photos don't do it justice. Allen did what he called Asian style highlights/ super highlights. It turned out exactly how I wanted and there was no damage/ breakage! My hair health is always great even after bleaching whenever Allen does my hair and it grows out nicely. I usually get my highlights redone after around 6-8 months and it always grows out nicely and pricing is reasonable. Allen is super meticulous, efficient, and always delivers quality work. I've been going to Allen since the middle of COVID, and I honestly wouldn't trust anyone else with coloring my hair anymore. The balayage he did over two years ago still looked amazing--beautiful grow-out, and I've only done two toning sessions the entire time. Most recently, I went in for airtouch highlights, and as always, Allen nailed it. He achieved the exact color I wanted and made sure my hair stayed healthy, even with three bleaching sessions involved. He really takes the time to do things right and pays such close attention to detail--it never feels rushed, and the results speak for themselves. Alan was super responsive to text, and was able to schedule me within a week of reaching out! I asked him to cut off a couple inches, add layers, and touch up my curtain bangs, which he did beautifully. He even had some styling recommendations on account of my hair being in the wavier side. Allen is truly the best at what he does! I asked for natural looking air touch highlights on my virgin black hair and they turned out amazing!! This style is low maintenance and he mentioned I could come back in 10 months for a touch up. We did two rounds of bleach and my hair is still very healthy. Definitely trust him!! read more
