Tammy opened up the store on Thursday just to do my hair! She did an amazing job and was so accommodating. Love my hair!

Cut, color and highlights.

Thanks Tammy for a great cut and color. Love the highlights you suggested! ! Perfect for summer.

Love my hair! Tammy got the color I wanted Service , they were very accommodating! Tammy explained the steps of everything. Love it!

Bangs with layers

This is my second time coming here, always so good! Super friendly and attentive. They're detailed in everything and also gave me advice how to help my hair from getting split ends. Ava is really good, highly recommend her

My hair right after the perm

I have straight, medium-length hair and wanted to add more volume. I was at a crossroads--should I cut it short again or keep growing it out? I hadn't been to a salon in 18 years, so I was definitely nervous, but my bestie recommended Tammy, and I'm so glad she did! I ended up getting a root lift and a wave digital perm. It was my first time trying this type of perm, and the whole experience was actually really enjoyable. At first, I only planned to get a root lift, but Tammy suggested doing both--and she was absolutely right. Her expert advice made all the difference! She took the time to explain what would complement my hair type and styling goals, and I really appreciated how thoughtful and honest she was. Tammy did an amazing job! She explained that the waves would loosen a bit after the first wash and over time. Waiting the full 48 hours before washing was tough, but totally worth it. The first photo shows my hair the day of the perm, and the second was taken a week later. I absolutely love my waves! I've been getting so many compliments, and my hair is easy to manage now. I'm feeling confident and excited to keep growing it out. Thank you so much, Tammy!

I have been to this salon multiple times but I will not be going back after this last haircut by Tammy. Tammy is the salon owner and I expect a better hair cut than this from a professional. This hair cut was choppy, not blended, and an overall lazy job by her. I did not notice how bad the haircut was when leaving the salon because she curled my hair and thus hid all of the issues. She did not show me my haircut before curling it. There is a huge section that should not have been cut and will now take me months to grow back in order to fix. I have already gone to a different salon to get my hair fixed as I do not trust her to fix it properly.

Lauren is amazing!! She's so sweet and friendly. I also love how she was upfront about costs after I showed her a picture of what I wanted. My hair even turned out better than the inspo picture I showed her. Definitely appreciate her being able to fit me in last minute with my tight schedule. She's the best and will definitely continue getting my hair colored with her

I had a great experience here. I got a digital perm and a volume perm because my hair is naturally thin and can get very flat. Tammy got me in for an appointment quickly and was professional throughout. It took about 3 hours and turned out great. She also gave tips on how to style it at home. The staff is friendly too (shout out to Yoni!).

It blends so well!

Moved from Norcal and was looking for a hairstylist that can I can frequent when I want to have a change with my hair. I stumbled on this business and saw the vibrant colors and wanted something crazy. Note I just glossed my hair a chocolate brown but had this urge to go a blue silver color. I texted them and Tammy was super helpful and walked me through the process. I was nervous because I haven't globally bleached my hair in 5 years???? Came into the shop and she got to work with me right away. I don't know what type of magic they do but I went through 2 bleach sessions and my hair isn't fried. Because I got gloss done my hair didn't lift as much as I wanted it to but Tammy showed the range of what colors I can work with and we went up going an auburn copper color. She helped me what would suit my skin tone and I'm so glad I trusted her- I've gotten a tone of compliments! Will be coming back for my touch ups! Giving it 4 stars because it was a pricing job for the amount of hair I have, which I'm not sure because they are located in Irvine but the quality of work is there.

*I'm updating my original review to reflect the full experience: I came in as a first-time client and was seen by Tammy. Based on Yelp, it appears she is the owner, although there seems to be a male counterpart also involved in ownership. My appointment (Sat. 6/14), I brought in an inspiration photo (attached) and explained to Tammy that I wanted to go back to a natural ash brown, close to my natural color, to help blend my grown-out roots with previously blonde hair. This should've been straightforward: tone down the blonde, match the roots, and soften the line between. My entire head was bleached twice, which felt excessive for the color I requested. After the first round was washed out, Tammy asked me whether we should bleach again. I replied, "What do you think?" because she's the professional, and I trusted her. She said yes, and we proceeded. At no point was I warned about the added risk to my scalp or the extra cost. After both bleaching rounds, she quickly applied the color, washed, blow-dried, and curled my hair with a straightener for about 5 minutes. I politely said I liked it, but after sitting in the chair for over 4 hours (11:00 am to 3:30 pm) and feeling overwhelmed, I didn't truly register the final result. Once I got home, it was obvious: the color was off with blue and yellow tones, nothing like the reference photo. Later that evening, I experienced intense itching, burning, and inflammation across my scalp. I took photos and texted Tammy on Sunday morning (6/15) using her personal number, explaining the situation. I received no response. I went to urgent care that morning, where I was diagnosed with CONTACT DERMATITIS caused by a chemical burn from the bleach. I was prescribed oral steroids and other allergy medications. As of today, (6/16) I also have some visible scabbing on my scalp and still don't know whether there will be permanent damage. I texted Tammy again after my urgent care visit, still no response. At that point, I chose to leave a review. The service charge was a shocking $630, I paid $724.50 total with tip. At the time of checkout, I was shown a number on a calculator but not given a clear breakdown, and I didn't feel comfortable asking due to the language barrier. That's on me, and I acknowledge it. I paid and left. Here's the cost breakdown they eventually provided: $90 haircut + $180 bleach #1 + $180 bleach #2 + $180 color + $94.50 tip. The menu does not clearly say that EACH bleach or color step is charged separately, it lists price ranges by hair length, which is very easy to misinterpret as a flat rate. After texting Tammy about a medical issue and receiving no reply, I felt helpless. So my mother went to the salon in person Monday morning (6/16) to speak Korean and explain the situation more clearly. Tammy finally replied to me over text on Monday around 10:00 am. She declined a refund but offered to re-tone my hair after my scalp healed and invited me to submit a claim to their insurance to cover medical expenses. My mom also respectfully spoke with Tammy outside the salon when she got there. They told my mom that they needed to speak with their insurance agent first to assess if a refund was possible. By 1:30 pm that day, Tammy messaged they were willing to refund the $630 (excluding tip). I asked for the full $724.50 since the tip would help cover part of my medical expenses. They also requested that I remove this review as it impacts their business, but completely understood if I didn't want to. I was also honest: I no longer felt safe coming back, and I would not be removing my review. I wasn't planning to escalate things further as long as I received a full refund and could put the situation behind me. Shortly after my refusal to take down the review, my mom had called the salon to ask for an update twice. The male co-owner was upset about my review and another posted by someone else (which she has since removed). He demanded my mom to apologize for this, not just for the reviews, but also on behalf of the other stylists (that were mostly independent renters) whose licenses she photographed earlier to identify Tammy's in case we needed to file a claim. They expressed their concerns about their privacy. My mom had already told them at the salon that she deleted these photos once she found Tammy's, and she reiterated this. For the record: cosmetology licenses are public records, available online. Consumers have the legal right to view them and confirm credentials. They sent the full refund later that day before 5 pm. This review is not a reflection of the other stylists who rent chairs at the salon. While I was there, I saw many happy clients being helped by other professionals who seemed kind, focused, and talented. My experience, unfortunately, was specific to Tammy and the male co-owner, and how the situation was handled after. I also plan to report this incident to the State Board of Cosmetology.

Tammy is THE BEST! My first time here I came for long layers, and it lasted forever because it grew out beautifully. Came back for a digital wave and I'm obsessed! She is so talented, I finally found my home

I had no idea how much the cut was going to be. Shocked. 40 bucks. That's it. I went to another highly rated salon in Irvine and it cost 60 bucks and he ruined my hair. Going to for sure come back for Chloe. They also play non stop k pop and are all Korean but speak English.

I showed my stylist the cut I wanted and expressed the length I wanted as well. She suggested to make it longer and I agreed, surely she had the best intentions in mind. I wanted layers and walked out with a long bob. My stylist was too scissor happy. She hacked it all off in 15 minutes. The shaping is atrocious and its way shorter than I had originally expressed. She had cut 6 inches of my hair off and looked regretful at the end. Even her coworker was expressing in Korean how short it was. My hair is a mess and it's too short now to be saved. Yet, I still had to pay a whooping $90 for it. The owner of the business also seems to be gaslighting and bullying anyone who gives them a negative review on here. I will not be recommending anyone nor will I be returning.

I had just moved to the area again and wanted to find a hairstylist during my time here. I read a review that said she'll let you know her honest opinion and I'm so glad because for me personally, I would hate it if I came in wanting something and the hairstylist thinks it's ugly (but is quiet about it) and I walk out feeling regretful that I wanted to try xyz lol. My first haircut came out nicely after we chatted about what I wanted and what she thinks would look best, and she recommended me a brown I should try in the future. Today is that future time. It's my second time here! I came in knowing vaguely what I wanted (Some sort of lighter brown with bangs since I had black hair with no bangs lol). We chatted and then I simply trusted the process. She ended up giving me curtain bangs that can also be a little wispy also, and cut my hair to a length that looked soooo good. There was so much attention to detail when she was cutting too. It was great. For the color, she said that a lighter color might not actually look the best on me and a subtle brown might be better! I was pretty down for whatever she thought looked good so I trusted the process again. Let me tell you... this subtle brown looked so good with the cut. Also, my hair? Soft as HECK. It was kinda gritty before so I was shook when I touched my hair after the appt. She chatted with me lots and also gave me space too. It was a great balance and also she answered my questions!! I always have so many questions and she answered them all for me!! Including... how to style my hair because I suck at those things. I'll take any advice and tips I can get. Price is reasonable for OC too! TLDR; I walked in with messy hair that made me look dead inside and walked out with softer dyed hair AND styling knowledge. If that isn't a win, I don't know what is.
