Restoration Attics was the last company I found after I had already gotten the other two estimates. The other two companies I tried one was kind of rude and the other lied to me about a few things. But that was the other companies. Now let's talk about the good company. The Restoration Attics... The first time I spoke with them over the phone I got ahold of Ivan. Very pleasant person to speak with over the phone. Very knowledgeable and very patient with all the questions I had. For the initial inspection Ivan also came out. Very friendly and professional , explained everything to me, was very honest with me. My Dad worked in the pest and rodent control industry all his life until he retired, so I do have some limited knowledge about a few things with this rodent control stuff I've gleaned from him over the years. Everything Ivan told me checked out and he and all of his workers treated me and my wife with utmost dignity through out the whole process. Every interaction my wife and I have had with The Restoration Attics was great. Wonderful. I don't find many companies that make me feel this calm or at peace that I'm in good hands and being taken care of. The Restoration Attics are a sterling example of integrity. It's been a blessing to me and my family to have found this great company. I was initially nervous the first time they were going to come over to start work. But Ivan came and spoke with me before they started that day and he put my mind at ease about this matter they were taking care of for us. Kristian was the lead man at the job at my house. I don't know where Ivan finds his workers but man, Kristian is a great guy. Professional, hardworking, knowledgeable, answered my questions, and maintained a professional and approachable demeanor every time I interacted with him. Once exclusion was done I met Paul. He's the gentleman that would come check for rodents after the initial phase of the work. Easy going professional great guy. He also checked up on and did some more work on some finishing details with the exclusion and did the disinfecting the attic and garage work after the rest of the work was done. He did a lot of work and did a great job. I also met Eddie, hard working, friendly young man that did lots of work around my house to install the exclusion barrier. Eddie also came over for a few follow ups after all work was done. Rats are stubborn and will keep trying to find ways in. Eddie put this great chemical around places the rats would scratch at to try and get in. The rats really hate that chemical and would go other places instead. Eddie is awesome! Any concerns I had after the work was done was also attended to promptly. Ms. Stephanie the office manager is easy to get ahold of and friendly. When the rats did make attempts to come back into our attic, The Restoration Attics were literally out here usually the next day after I reported it to them, inspecting, and finding ways to keep our home protected. Their prices are fair and competitive. They do a ton of work for what they charge. I am impressed with how much work they did for us for the price they charged. Also Ivan gave me a great warranty on the work they did. If the rats come back during the warranty, these guys will be back at no charge to me. Ivan even mailed me a warranty certificate with his name signed on it for the amount of years he had agreed upon during the estimate. These people are about integrity. They've definitely earned my family's trust. Ivan initially told me they would go above and beyond what I expect when he came to offer me an estimate. He was right. They're a small company, but I put my money on them when compared to bigger companies for the services they offer. I highly recommend you do the same.

Did multiple visits to set traps and check them, after a few weeks of no signs of rodent they came and cleaned out, disinfected, and replaced everything. They were great to work with, everyone was super nice and easy to communicate with. We are very happy with the results. I would say they are a little pricey but well worth it. Tuesday morning, we heard a lot of noise in our house in Austin and after some quick looking around, we found the source of the noise -- a squirrel who'd gotten into our chimney and landed -- alive -- in our fireplace. Because of a fireplace screen, he wasn't going anywhere, but we needed him out. After calling a lot of people who couldn't come out that day or who wanted to create a long involved process of sending an "inspector" out, then sending someone out a few days later, I happened to find Urban Jungle while doing a Google search. We called them and they had someone out within an hour. When Will showed up, he came prepared with several kinds of traps because he said squirrels were especially sensitive to being picked up. Amazingly enough, once Will started trying to trap the squirrel, the squirrel ran right back up and out of the chimney. However, the next day, Will came back to seal off entry to the chimney. When it was all said and done, we paid a very reasonable price and Will did good work. Another benefit of Urban Jungle is that their staff all have degrees in wildlife biology or related fields. The additional education makes an obvious difference in both their knowledge and their professional demeanor, which was miles above the usual trapper or exterminator. He put down traps and we caught a couple of field mice. He did mention that he left an opening behind the kitchen sink in case there were still mice in the walls to give them an exit route, but he left traps under the kitchen sink. Service/Warranty A few weeks later, I spotted a mouse inside the house (not under the kitchen sink). We called Ruben and he was very responsive. He came back out and laid some more traps and we caught the mouse (Ruben thinks it was a mouse that just got in, probably from leaving the back door open). After that, we were out of town for about a week and we returned, and found a dead mouse caught in Ruben's trap under the kitchen sink (remember, he left some openings so that any mice in the walls could get out). Ruben came out again and used some foam to close the remaining openings. He also recommended a spray to take out the smell of pheromones which might be attracting new mice (e.g. through the back door). I can say as of now, it appears the mouse problem has been eradicated. - Knowledge of Craft/Professionalism I have had so many questions about what a mouse can and cannot do. Ruben patiently answers all of my questions which has helped me navigate a very difficult situation. Ruben is the epitome of professionalism. He knows his craft and he executes his process flawlessly. He is customer focused and is very responsive and respectful. No interior treatment since 2019, no bait station service since 2023--but the charges just kept coming. I've been battling cancer since 2022 and even let them know, yet they offered no alternative, no adjustment, no discount--just kept billing like clockwork without delivering the service. What's worse? They recently told me that the bait stations on my property belong to a third party, something they never disclosed when I paid for installation years ago. Now they want to retrieve the stations but still refuse to acknowledge the lack of service or offer any credit for services not rendered. I asked for a resolution. They refused. Over the series of experiences I've had, it was strangely somewhere in the middle. The positive side was that they were incredibly responsive. The customer service is on point and the attitude of their management is definitely a class act. I have no doubt this is a major driver for their most positive reviews and deservedly so. The part where I struggle is the mixed experiences from the various technicians that had come to one of my properties that had an ant, cockroach, and spider problem. The initial $160 was a bit higher than I expected, but a small price that I was willing to pay to rid the property of creepy crawlers. Jason and Servando (sp) extremely brief in their initial run of the place. Even after their treatment, I still saw plenty of spider action where it was clear were not that thorough. After explaining my situation to their staff, they assigned the manager at the time, Daniel, to come back and apply treatment the way he intended. He went nuclear with a whole host of sprays and was extremely thorough both inside and out. His work made a world of difference and there was very little bug activity for close to a year. He was thorough in his explanaition and super transparent with his approach. If every experience was this thorough I think I'd be more receptive to future service. He has unfortunately left the company. Typically they recommend treatment 3 to 4 months. The subsequent visits after my initial concerns were not charged, which I'm thankful for but should not have taken that many times just to get the desired result. It was close to $250 for carpet ant treatment, which felt out of my budget but was assured that the chemicals would be different than the standard ones used for treatment. I was presented with a 30 and 60-day warranty which is fine but not something I elected to go for this past time around. While I'm sure they've done stellar work for other households and other properties, I do wish that I was able to experience the same magic on a consistent basis.

The other bids were more expensive, and since Jerry came out for an estimate the same day I called, I knew what to look for in other bids. The other bids missed so many trouble spots Jerry saw! AND, the other bids did not include repairing damage. Jerry repaired BIG holes squirrels made in wood, including in doors of a custom made cabinet. My heart sank when I saw the damage. When Jerry said he could repair it, I wasn't sure how, but I told him to give it a try. Jerry made the cabinet look super cool! He used metal across the top so the little critters can't try again. He matched the metal to the wood! I took my husband and two sons out to see the repair, and they swore up and down there was no way it was metal. They said the cabinet looked brand new and they couldn't tell any difference from before the squirrels chewed it up. So, the other bids didn't see all the spots Jerry found, and no one else offered repairs, but their bids were higher. Jerry was extremely professional the whole time, stuck to his estimate and followed through with everything he said he would do. No more critters in our attic, their old entry spots are sealed off and we can't even see the damage. We've already recommended Jerry to neighbors.

He was very professional, extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and informative about our issue (apparently german roaches are known as hitchhikers and could have come from anywhere, like a shipping box or new appliance...which was interesting since we had recently replaced our dishwasher). He inspected the area of concern as well as surrounding areas to determine where to focus treatment and confirmed our initial thoughts. He completed the treatment in an extremely reasonable timeframe, then treated the rest of our house. This situation required a follow up treatment 2 weeks later and he told me exactly what the process would look like for scheduling that and how to let them know if the date needed to be shifted to better meet our schedule. He left me feeling confident we are on the way to getting rid of these gross pests.
