After that, the car lost power when accelerating, and the muffler became extremely noisy. I was worried it would become a major repair. They checked it and fixed it in about 10 minutes! What surprised me even more was how "horribly" honest and kind they were -- they DID NOT CHARGE me a single penny!! I called 3 separate times over the course of 3 weeks about replacement for my catalytic converter. I explained my situation and the person on the phone said they'd call me back about estimates. I never got the call back, and each time I MYSELF had to call, it was the same story. They'd write my phone number and say the same thing. It was the same person as well, I don't recall their name. Quality service from experienced folks cannot be beat. I had a rattling noise I thought may be an exhaust leak. I drove 20+ miles to go to Mike's Muffler because it came highly recommended and I wanted to take my car to a good muffler shop. Simple as that. Marty greeted me when I walked in and let me know he was on call and that he would be right with me. Marty & the workers at Mike's are great, experienced, no BS and do great work. They found that one of my exhaust bolts backed out, damaging the gasket which resulted in the leak. They fixed the issue in less than 30 mins. Only reason I was there longer was I was talking to Marty for a while. Real good guy and a wealth of knowledge. I highly recommend Mike's Muffler. Great service at fair pricing for quality work. EXCELLENT SERVICE & EXPERIENCE! My Infiniti Q50 exhaust pipes were misaligned. The left one was a lot lower than the right one. I also was hearing rattling noises. I asked around for quotes and some places were quoting me $95 - $190 for possibly 1 hour of work. The team here told me around $20 - $45 to put it back in place or to also possibly straighten out the bent pipe. They completed the job in less than 10 minutes and they did it for FREE. I was recommended to get my catalytic converter replaced here. It is definitely affordable and reliable. I spoke with Marty whom was calm/mellow and friendly. The converter for my car was not available during the initial call. 2 weeks later he was able to schedule me in the same day I called. They were able to squeeze me in a hr before they closed. It took less than 45 minutes. My car has 2 converters. Although the dealer may say change both converter, Marty only suggested the front since it takes most of the beating. The second converter rarely goes out. The converter installed is a Walker brand with a 7 year warranty which is pretty nice. I drove my car for some time now and my car engine light hasn't come on. The office is behind the actual shop where work is done. The path to the office is to the right. As you walk along you'll see the staff working on the cars from below. It is deceiving as you think that it is a super small office with 1 desk but beyond that is the waiting area. It is a good size with a table in the center and a TV at the corner. read more
