Just left here and wanted to write a review right away. We decided to take a leisurely non-highway route from NH on our way to CT. So happy we did, otherwise we would not have found this place and everything about our lunch stop was top notch. The food was great, but the service was even better, which was a refreshing change. We were greeted right away by our friendly waitress Isabell. After we ordered and while we were waiting, I witnessed the camaraderie between staff. They were laughing and joking with each other, clearly they like what they do and care about one another. It's pretty small inside and the decor is charming - a mix of fun sayings and beachy things. There is a bar with seating and 4-6 tables. While we were waiting, Mike, the owner, came over to say hi and ask what we ordered. He was genuinely excited about the food he was about to serve and making sure we were happy with everything. He checked in with all tables. Our sandwiches were fresh, but let's talk about the pizza. No extra crust, sauce up to the edges. Perfect crisp to the wonderfully chewy crust. The sauce? Best sauce I've ever had. I told him I would drive the hour and a half just for his sauce. Perfect acidity, and very flavorful. Not overpowering. It was perfection, honestly. Mike brought over a pepperoni ranch sauce to try/drizzle if we wanted. A nice compliment to the pizza. Isabell checked on us a few times but was not intrusive at all. Loved her upbeat personality. They tried to talk us into canollis, but we were full. Now I'm curious about them and am regretting my decision. I may have to go back for another slice and try one. Really wanted to love this place but our burger pizza was soggy and the sweet pickles on it really gave it an odd flavor. I think if they didn't cook the pizza with the lettuce on it maybe it wouldn't have been as soggy - it did smell amazing though! The onion strings were really good but they had quite a kick to them, so much so it should really be mentioned in the menu so that you don't give them to kids. The steak and cheese grinder was good but did not have much flavor to it. The staff there were very friendly and it is a cute little spot though! read more

We did an order of fish and chips for takeout and it definitely wasn't as good as the first time. I picked the fish with homemade potato chips (chips are delicious), but my husband and mom got the regular chips (French fries) and theirs was kinda pitiful looking. I'm not sure if that's what their to go orders usually look like, but it was sad looking especially since I bragged on the fish and chips. We'll try again another time, or maybe we just will stick with their pizzas and smash burgers. read more

We have been inside 1x and ordered pizza to go. The fish and chips were awesome! My husband got wings and he said they were great! We love the French fries and how they season and cook them. We ordered a large buffalo pizza and it was delicious! The crust is perfect and even has a nice seasoned taste to it! We will order again! read more

Inconsistent and random closing times ("we closed early because it was slow") combined with dark, greasy fried food both guarantee that this place won't be around long. Business hint - don't advertise you're open until 8 pm and then close up at 6 pm. You waste people's time when they show up for dinner and get turned away. Also, try changing the oil in your fryolators. Everything we ordered on our second visit was cooked in old oil and definitely tasted that way. We won't be back. read more

We tried to get takeout last weekend and were told an hour wait. Then the following week we were trying to place an order but were put on hold for 15 minutes. I hung up and felt like if they can't handle the volume of customers, then they aren't worth it. Everyone else can do it, why can't they? Owner was friendly, came out and greeted us and chatted with us. The interior is really bad, full of clutter and isn't appealing. I ordered the chicken tenders and fries, they were good. However the quantity of fries was ridiculously small, it was literally only like 10 fries. I decided to order a pizza a week later because I wanted to try it. It was probably the worst pizza I've ever had. There are so many better places to eat pizza around this area. If you want great pizza go to New England Pizza in Oxford near the library. read more

Very slow service. We stopped in for take out and it took almost an hour to get our food. The people who ordered after us got their food before us. The girl who took our order did not turn our order into the kitchen. Only when the manager/owner came over to check on us did he realize the girl lost our order. How do you lose an order is such a small restaurant? Or is it that locals get taken care of first? If you're not a local you're gonna have to wait for quite awhile. read more

We went to Mike's for dinner tonight and thought the food, drinks and service were outstanding. We ordered two small pizzas, the Camille and a Margherita, and they were the best we've had in a long time. Fried pickles were perfect too! I had been looking forward to trying this place. I tried to get takeout several times but was told it would take at least 45 minutes to get an order. I finally decided to go and have an early lunch when they weren't busy. I ordered the clam chowder. It took almost 20 minutes to get it without a spoon. I was warned it was very hot. It had tempered down by the time I got a spoon. Unfortunately, it was so salty I couldn't eat it. The waitress came and asked if I wanted a container to take it home. I declined explaining that I didn't think taking it home would solve the problem. I also mentioned that the menu said there would be pita chips with the soup but that I never got any. At first she told me the chips didn't come with the soup. I pointed out where I read it on the menu. She then told me it was probably a typo. I said it was false advertising. While traveling through town I decided to stop by here for a couple pizzas to go. When I arrived there was several people waiting for their take out. No one greeted me at the door. It looks more like a bar than a restaurant with just a couple of tables. I felt very uncomfortable while waiting for my food. As for the pizzas and fries...I have to say I was quite disappointed. Both pizzas had zero taste, barely any sauce and cheese. Bottom was soggy and not crispy. Fries tasted like a bag of frozen fries from the grocery store. I was under the impression they cut their fries fresh from potatoes. What I received definitely didn't look nor tasted fresh. At $60.00 bucks it was a real let down. I don't think I'd return. You can definitely get a tastier pizza that has flavor elsewhere. read more

Wish I could tell you how the food is but when I went to pick up my called in cheese pizza, the person who took my order said he didn't have a ticket for my pizza. I was extremely disappointed because I have heard good things about Mikes. And it was not busy. It was 3pm on a Saturday afternoon. No apology from the guy, just turned away. If I could give this place 10 stars I would!!! I never leave reviews but I just feel so compelled to. Their pizza is BY FAR the best in the area and I'd even go as far to say one of the best I've ever had (chorizo and poached pear for the win)! One time I was waiting inside to pick up my order and one of the ladies passed out garlic knots for people waiting. Ok, so was super excited to eat because, well it was late and not much was opened. Thought to myself Can't fuck upnwimgs and pizza, right? WRONG! Should have known by the name, Mike, it was gonna be half assed. Good concept, bad execution. It would have been decent if there was a little less crunch, and alot more munchies. But for real the Fried Rivoli was more crispy then the guy at the counter cashing me out. The pizza tasted like a gas station hunts. The wings were OK. This place just moved to there new location on main street in Webster,Ma last night was there grand opening. They have great beer and live music. Everything was made fresh in house. I had the Italian stallion sub and quarterback crunchies. And the pizza was amazing best place in town for a rustic Italian hand tossed pizza. read more
