Kinda upset because my dinner was ruined tonight. I love Apollo's just not the person who made this one.

Pizza looks pretty good. Not greasy at all!

We heard someone say they had great pizza here so we made a trip there to give it a try. First of all we called ahead to order at dinner time on a Saturday night and we questioned why they didn't give us a number? Or ask for a name? Could that mean that not many orders? We hadn't been here for many years...since the original 'Tony the Greek Elvis' opened it, it looked like they hadn't done a thing to change it in almost 40 years. Wow! It is a very very small spot in a strip mall. There's about 4 tables in there, but it's so small you really wouldn't want to stay to eat. We brought our large half sausage and peppers and half onions and mushrooms pizza(13$ before tax) home to eat. First of all the crust was very good and the pizza wasn't greasy at all. But, there was hardly any sauce at all and they were very cheap with the toppings. Without the sauce it was very bland (we ended up using salt and pepper for flavor). This place won't be on our list to return to.

I've heard nothing but good things from people about Apollo for 15 years, but never seemed to get to this side of town to give them a try, until yesterday that is. In the mood to stop somewhere different, and needing something quick, that I could take with me on the run and this fit the bill. I walked in, there was no line so I walked right up to the counter to peek at the menu. Decided on a small cheese pizza which I ordered and then sat myself down at one of about a half dozen tables and waited. Luckily my wait was not long and off I went. The pizza was right out of the oven and was great tasting in spite of being the usual Greek variety. Sorry, that's the NYer in me speaking. All that matters is the food tasted good, the wait was not long and the take credit cards, always a plus. Located right by Indian Ranch, I would not hesitate to stop here again if I was on this side of 395.

Everything they make here is good but the prices have gone up way too high. I've stopped ordering from Apollo now for this reason.

Great pizzas and grinders, good salads too. They have a few tables and chairs if you want to eat in but it's better for take out.

All shareable, and the presentation is top-notch. We had the Spicy Crab Tostada, Spicy Chicken Wontons, and the Mexican Street Corn "ribs." Each dish was prepared to perfection. The Spicy Crab Tostada, like the wontons, had a light and crispy texture. The Spicy Chicken Wontons were equally delightful. And the Mexican Street Corn "ribs" were a unique treat. They were prepared by quartering the corn cob lengthwise, tossing it in a special sauce, and serving it. The "ribs" effect was that you held the quartered cob pieces and ate the kernels as if you were holding the bones of ribs. Be prepared for a few wet naps after finishing these delicious bites! There are many more enticing dishes to try, and I can't wait for our next visit. As a tribute to the late, great Charlie Daniels (who always ended the musical season at the

On this cool spring visit, we sat inside at a corner table with a nice view of the lake. We ordered: Happy Hour Chicken Tacos ($8) Happy Hour Fish Tacos ($8) Fish & Chips Dinner ($21) Merlot ($9) Cabernet ($11) The tacos are normally $16 for three on the dinner menu, so getting four for that price during Happy Hour is a good deal. Results were mixed. Starting with the positive: the Fish Tacos were excellent. The haddock was perfectly cooked--crispy and flavorful--served in grilled flour tortillas with shredded iceberg lettuce, creamy slaw, pico de gallo, and chipotle lime aioli. Really well done! The Chicken Tacos, on the other hand, were disappointing. The chipotle-braised chicken, along with the toppings, made them feel dense and soggy. Not something I would order again. The Fish & Chips was the biggest letdown. The fried haddock was thin and dry, and the fries were limp and not hot enough. The coleslaw was very good, though. Honestly, if they used the same haddock from the fish tacos here, it would be a big upgrade. Service was good overall, though the dinners took a while to arrive. Bottom line: 3 stars. Still the best restaurant option on the lake, but there's plenty of room for improvement.

Our order included: * Rustic Baked Potato Soup -- 430 calories, 1,660 mg sodium * Three Cheese Lasagna Soup -- 360 calories, 1,460 mg sodium * Carnitas Elote Market Bowl -- 1,100 calories, 2,650 mg sodium When I tasted the Rustic Baked Potato Soup, I had two immediate thoughts: It tasted pretty good, and it tasted very salty. The Three Cheese Lasagna Soup is a new menu item. It was also pretty good, with a little spice, but it tasted salty as well, though not as salty as the potato soup. The Carnitas Elote Market Bowl was okay. The rice was pretty good, the avocado was very good, but the cucumber, which was one of my customizations, was limp. Perhaps that was because the bowl was placed underneath a hot container of soup in the same takeout bag. After tasting the potato soup, I checked the nutrition information and was surprised by the sodium levels. The recommended daily limit for most healthy adults is 2,300 milligrams. The potato soup alone contained nearly three-quarters of that amount, while the Market Bowl exceeded the recommended daily limit in a single meal. Salt can certainly make food taste better, but does it really need to be this salty? I heard recently that they had a new owner and I had an elderly friend out from the nursing home for the day and she wanted to stop here for lunch as her and her late husband came here often. We stopped in on a weekday for lunch and it was pretty quiet in there except for a couple other tables taken. My friend wanted pizza and added a salad. While we were waiting the new owner came over to introduce himself and make sure we were all set. He's a nice young man and seems eager to make his business a success. My friends salad came out first and it was a big salad for 99 cents with a meal. She said it was delicious and they gave her plenty of salad dressing. Our pizza came out shortly and it was delicious, definitely one of the better pizzas I've had in town. The pizza had plenty of cheese/sauce ratio and it had a nice crispy bottom. I'm not sure how the rest of their meals are, but their pizza is worth getting again!
