I went with a Greek Salad and grilled chicken ($14). It came with romaine lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, Kalamata olives, white onions, hot peppers, croutons, and feta cheese with a side of their homemade balsamic vinaigrette. It was a little different from a traditional Greek salad, but I enjoyed it. The homemade dressing was thick and went well with the other ingredients while the chicken was seasoned just enough. I went to Rutgers and now work in Somerville. This place use to be a Hansel and Griddle, which was a staple of my college career so I use to frequent it a lot. Then they did away with the franchise and rebranded but keep a pretty similar menu. I have not had a chance to try it since the change so when my coworkers wanted to order food from there I jumped at the opportunity to try. I ordered the Buffalo Popcorn Chicken Panini, without tomatoes and add mushrooms. Of course they did not listen added them tomatoes. I was not the only incorrect order from our party. We stopped by here for lunch spur of the moment as the place we had planned to go happened to be closed on Mondays. That being said I was really unprepared on what I was going to order as I was unfamiliar with the menu. This is a counter service restaurant so you place your order, pay, and then if your dining in they deliver it to your table. We quickly glanced over the menu board and placed our order. My husband ordered the Bacon cheddar burger which came with lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles. I ordered the Angus cheeseburger with just lettuce, and tomato and we ordered a small side of the Waffle sweet potato fries to share along with two fountain sodas. The burgers normally come cooked medium well but we were told we could change that so we asked for both medium rare. Our total was just over $30 before tip which I thought was a little on the high side. We were given our drink cups to help ourselves to our drinks and we took a seat to wait for our food. After a short wait our food was delivered i prepared my burger with some mayo and ketchup and started to cut it in half. Before I had a chance to finish my husband already bit into his burger and commented that it was overcooked. I finished cutting my burger and it definitely was beyond medium rare. It wasn't pink like I'm used to. He said it still tasted good. I agreed it was still tasty. The waffle fries were good too. They make really good sandwiches, wrap etc. My go to here is the Cajun Turkey wrap on a wheat tortilla or the crispy chicken sandwich with a side of sweet potato waffle fries. The establish is very clean and the staff are very welcoming. I also would like to add the fact they order curbside pick up since parking can be hard to find downtown Somerville and they do have an app for placing orders. Lastly for every 100 points which equate to $100.00 if I'm correct you do get a $5.00 coupon toward your purchase. They also offer double points on Monday's. Swung by Mike's today for the first time. The staff was super inviting and welcoming today, especially right now as COVID is affecting everyone. The restaurant was very clean and tidy and they are enforcing the social distancing which was nice. It was also nice being able to go inside and order instead of having to go onto a website or an app to order. We ordered 2 chicken Caesar wraps (one gluten free wrap and one normal) and an order of fries and two fountain sodas. I was impressed with the pricing ~$25. Reasonable. The meals were okay, nothing to rave about. The portions were kind of small, but then I guess the price correlated pretty much, so you get what you pay for? I haven't had a gluten-free wrap at a restaurant establishment in quite some time so it was nice for me to be able to order a wrap for a change. Great service on the other hand. This time, my coworkers and I ordered delivery to where we work, which is located about 15 minutes away. I got a chicken and spinach crisp without cheese. The order arrived in about 45 minutes and the crisp was still crispy! It came with a side of balsamic which was delicious. The crisp comes sliced into four pieces and even though there was no cheese to hold mine together the herb spread did a decent enough job. I was grateful there wasn't any backlash to ordering the equivalent of a quesadilla without the queso :) Each of my slices was generously stuffed with spinach, which I appreciated - no skimping here! I give up. The food here is no longer what it used to be. I don't know if they are under new management or what, but I can't continue to support them. I mostly request for my food to be delivered, especially in the winter. One day the pancakes are soft and hot, other times they are dry and overcooked. The turkey sausage patties are sometimes large portions and very tender. Lately they have been dry, hard, and small. The wings used to be worth raving about. Lately they have also been dry and hard as if they were left out and forgotten about then sent off to be delivered. The last two times I ordered the French onion soup, I had to spit it out. It tasted rancid. Their French onion soup used to be so so so good. In our recent delivery, we ordered a chili cheese burger in addition to other items, and we received a buffalo cheese burger, no chili cheese burger. When we called, there was no apology offered. Some time ago, they limited their bottled beverage options and no longer sell Nantucket Nectars or Snapple. I used to come here for fresh food that I knew was cooked to order, but I can't trust that is the case anymore. I really hope things can change for the better.
