It became an intersection that we could never walk by without my dog making a bee-line over to greet Sam. I started patronizing the gas station for gas just because of Sam's cheerful and friendly personality. His employees are always pleasant and efficient, gas prices VERY fair for full service and though I have not gone there for any auto repair/service yet, I would feel comfortable bringing my vehicle there for that. Sam's motto "another day in paradise" is his attitude every day regardless of the harsh conditions he endures on the roughest of days. It's refreshing to be greeted this way all of the time! I was told they didn't have time for an oil change that day but I could bring my car back Saturday at 8am. I brought my car back at that time and waited 15-20 minutes just for someone to take my keys since they usually don't have someone at the front desk. I almost left before that and in retrospect I wish I did. I thought since I was bringing my car in early in the morning I wouldn't have to wait long for the oil change, but apparently they were busy with inspections and other things already. I initially planned on waiting but I decided to leave and come back. I'm glad I did because I got called 4.5 hours later saying my car was ready. The total cost was about $125 ($45 for labor, $70 for parts, plus taxes) which is highway robbery (which I suppose is fitting in some way given the location on 125 on the way to I-93). I don't think I've ever paid that much when I asked for just an oil change anywhere else. I won't be coming back here.

Otherwise, it's all been quick and easy, and affordable. There's no kind of waiting area -- a few chairs and a television you'd have to break your neck to see -- but Stop & Shop is next door, so you can while away the time browsing magazines you aren't going to buy or examining the extensive jam selection.

We're new to the area and I own three expensive european cars that I pay to keep in top condition, and we are looking for a mechanic. They're the closest to where we live, but unfortunately they'll not get any of my business. I enjoy paying for good service, but I won't support bad service.
