Been riding the new Bilstein coil over shocks for months now. Between the 1.5" lift and blocks in the rear best ride ever, should have done it years ago. Henry, also sold me and fit the best size Falken Wildpeak tires. Very steady ride, confident turning and elevated view makes my truck better than new. I asked Henry's auto in Andover to install the Bilstein kit, get me the best tire fit. 04' Mercedes e500 I received this car as a gift from my family, however, I needed to know after a period of the car sitting what was wrong with it ... if anything. Henry's been taking care of my family autos for awhile now, he has done many repairs on our old 1999 Acura TL when we handed it down to our Daughter, finally sold it and got her a newer Toyota. During that time we have brought the car in for various issues and they were great with the repairs. Also being local it was nice to have a shop you can go to without the heavy sales pitch, we trust them. They also worked on my Acura RL and one time I had an emergency and even with no appointment in the middle of the day I dropped by they were able to look at my car and fix it. Perhaps the most honest business owner I've ever dealt with. Brought in a 3 yr old F150 with 36K miles. I believed it only needed its first brake job. However, the technician discovered it was more invasive than that. Dan called to tell me I unfortunately needed a front wheel bearing as well and the cost would be significantly higher than I expected. I agreed and instructed Dan and his technician to go ahead and complete the repair. As Dan waited for parts to arrive he decided to do some research in the midst of his already busy day. After several phone calls Dan discovered it was still covered under warranty, cited on my bill the contact name and local Ford dealer I could take it to at no cost. Hi, I was hesitant to write a review, but after speaking to many folks, they urged me to write this so that others can make a decision about this place. I have a 2015 VW golf sportwagon deisel and I wanted an oil change. I thought I would use a local shop instead of taking it to the dealer... which is what I had always done. The shop owner gave me a price for the oil change that was almost double that which I paid at the dealer. I agreed to have it done, thinking that I would not bring it back, but at least I had given them the business on that day. I had to leave the car all day for an oil change, which was quite surprising. I picked it up late in the day and brought it home. All seemed ok. Then the next day, the clutch was broken (it was limp on the floor of the vehicle). So I had the car towed to Henry's for repair. After looking over the car, I was told that the clutch asembly needed to be replaced. A hefty price was put on the table. I agreed, and was told that the job required lifting out the transmission, and that this was a lot of work. I already knew that, so no surprise. I was told the job would take at least a full day or two. I called about the car after two days, and was told that 'parts' had not come in, so they hadn't started work on it. They expected to 'get the parts' the next day. The next day, same story. After a week, they finally 'had the part' but didn't get to the car until later in the day. The car was finally ready for me to pick up at the very end of a Friday. I picked up the car, and had somewhere to go, so I just drove it home. Something sounded very funny about the transmission... it was loud and the car changed gears very roughly. I called and left a message on Henry's phone answering machine, but there was no call back. After the weekend, I decided to take it back to a VW dealer, told them the course of events and asked them to look at things..... They said there was two problems... the first is that the wrong grade of oil was used for the oil change. The second was that when Henry's put the transmission back in after fixing the clutch, they didn't seat the gasket properly and the whole transimission was attached askew... that is why there was so much noise. When they were finished, my car again ran like new and I was happy. I just want to write this in case it helps someone else. read more

I wish there was an emoji available with hearts in it's eyes from Yelp. These guys helped me out when NO ONE would! Getting a company car stuck in a small garage is a nightmare, especially when no tow truck is willing to try to get it out. I got dozens of NO'S. Then I called Henry's. I explained the trouble, it's the battery..simple fix, no one will come out, no one will tow! He was there within the same day, at the exact time he said he would be, called beforehand to make sure I would be there, had the battery changed out and the car running within...5 minutes? He was incredibly gracious, kind, and when I got the bill I was pleasantly surprised. Not only was everything done online and I got receipts emailed to me within moments, but the price was very reasonable considering he came OUT TO ME! Not even doctors do house calls anymore. I was going to bring our sad and aging group of company cars back to the dealership for all their maintenance needs but now that I know how much they value my business I think I will be heading to Henry's for some real customer service and quality work. read more

Best experience I've ever had with a mechanic. Period. Henry and his team are awesome. Honest, respectful, smart, friendly with INCREDIBLE customer service. Henry, Dan and the crew are good guys. They helped me figure out what was really wrong with my car vs. the story I received from a dealership. And it wasn't just my experience. I had an opportunity to watch them in action while I waited for my car during a routine oil change. The customers came in like it was the back door to their Grandma's kitchen and the guys were as attentive and responsive to the 'drop-ins' as scheduled jobs. No one was turned away and the team handled all calls and customers with grace. In fact, Henry offered to go see one customer's car at his house so he wouldn't potentially damage it with driving over. Who does that? These guys were incredibly thorough and very willing to work with me on going through my 2005 Jeep that needed of lots of repairs after years of neglect. Henry and his team are extremely knowledgeable and resourceful in troubleshooting problems. They found a few minor things I wasn't even aware of, like my heater/defroster fan was only working on one speed. Quick easy inexpensive fix. Prices were very fair and they were very courteous throughout the whole process. Prompt communications, even email with questions. I was very impressed when they advised me that I shouldn't spend the extra money on a dealer replacement part when machine shop repair would beas effective and $100's cheaper. These guys are fantastic. I recently moved, and decided to give Henry's a try and I have not been disappointed. The prices are reasonable and they go the extra mile to ensure the job is done correctly. I recently brought a 2003 Maxima to them with a check engine light on for an emissions system leak. I'll spare most of the details, but suffice it to say that tracking down the problem was difficult, and exacerbated by the fact that I brought parts from a junkyard to them to fix it. Henry and Dan were determined to fix the problem for me, and spent a lot of time doing so...much of which they didn't charge for. My car is now back on the road with a new inspection sticker, and without shelling out thousands of dollars. This isn't the first job they've done for me, and the others have been great as well. Not super impressed. I think they are going downhill. I took my car in to get the AC looked at and they said I needed a new compressor. We were headed out of town, so we could not get the work done. $147 to diagnose the AC. Then I took the car to another place and they said it just needed a charge! So it is fixed for $99. I won't be going back. read more

They were very flexible and did not take advantage of an issue with respect to my 2005 Highlander, that had failed to pass inspection. They helped remedy the situation - and even took the car for the follow-up inspection to ensure it passed. Given the age of the car and other circumstances, I was really trying to manage the costs and they were very supportive in that regard. read more

Henry's saved me a ton of money on repairs to my 10-year old Nissan Murano. Dealer wanted to charge me over $1100 to replace the exhaust system and couldn't or wouldn't suggest other options to keep this old car on the road. I've had my 2004 Honda Pilot in for service four times now in the past four months. Each time, I unfortunately had no idea what the final cost was going to be. I didn't get any kind of heads up about what the problem was, or when it would be fixed, or what the estimated cost would be. Long story short, their customer service is in need of repair (pardon the pun). As regards the work, they do good work, though there was one occasion when I needed to bring the car back in for re-work. Finally, cost: Henry (the owner) is very good about keeping the costs reasonable - even discounting when he realizes the tab is going to end up being more than originally expected. read more
