After 19 years and 293,000 miles, I finally sold my Toyota Sienna minivan and bought a new car. Aside from Toyota quality, the reason that vehicle made it so long and so far was the professionalism, caliber, honesty, and caring of the mechanics, service advisor, and owner of Henry's. There simply aren't enough superlatives to describe how well they perform, the breadth of their experience, the fairness of their prices, and the willingness to stand behind their work. I don't believe there are better auto mechanics in the area - this shop and these folks are the best. A very satisfied customer of almost twenty years. read more

Been riding the new Bilstein coil over shocks for months now. Between the 1.5" lift and blocks in the rear best ride ever, should have done it years ago. Henry, also sold me and fit the best size Falken Wildpeak tires. Very steady ride, confident turning and elevated view makes my truck better than new. I asked Henry's auto in Andover to install the Bilstein kit, get me the best tire fit. Took his team 1.5 days at a fair price. highly recommend seeing Henry's Auto if you are in or close to Andover Ma. They will have all my truck maintenance moving forward. read more

Best local service station in town! My mom and I have been servicing our cars here for years. Henry, Mark and their team are skilled, trustworthy and do excellent work. If we're not getting warranty work done, it's the ONLY place we bring our cars: ) ! read more

Trustworthy, responsive, reliable. We had a problem with our car we couldn't quite figure out (and we didn't trust our dealer not to gouge us) so we took it Henry. He figured it out right away, communicated with us, and got the car back to us promptly. Big win. Highly recommended. read more

Great experience. Highly recommend, staff was helpful thorough. Explained work done and suggested on what couldn't be done. Very fair pricing. Wouldn't hesitate to bring my 2005 BMW for repairs in the future read more

I just recently moved to the area and was looking for a trustworthy mechanic nearby when my car started to have problems. I saw all the great reviews at Henry's and decided to try him out. Setting up an appointment was very easy and Henry was very responsive via email finding a time that works for me. I was in shock at how quickly Brandon was able to diagnose my car, get the correct parts, and complete the repair! My car is running smoother than ever with the amazing job these guys did. Thank you so much! Will definitely refer this shop to anyone in need of a good mechanic who won't rip you off. read more

04' Mercedes e500 I received this car as a gift from my family, however, I needed to know after a period of the car sitting what was wrong with it ... if anything. I went to 4 mechanics previous to Henry's and Henry was the only one to really give it a full work through. With a one year old son, I needed to know if this car was safe! I finally got my answer from this team. The car was in great shape, minus some alignment issues. Dan the shop manager is a gem as well ;) read more

Henry's been taking care of my family autos for awhile now, he has done many repairs on our old 1999 Acura TL when we handed it down to our Daughter, finally sold it and got her a newer Toyota. During that time we have brought the car in for various issues and they were great with the repairs. Also being local it was nice to have a shop you can go to without the heavy sales pitch, we trust them. They also worked on my Acura RL and one time I had an emergency and even with no appointment in the middle of the day I dropped by they were able to look at my car and fix it. Their stalls were booked up and it was obvious they were busy but it is great to know that they understood the urgency and made time for me. I recommend Henry's and I trust them to be fair and honest and reasonable with their charges. read more

Trustworthy, Honest, Accommodating, and does great work. Whenever possible we go to Henry instead of using the dealer's service department. You will not find a more honest business owner than Henry. In spite of being a busy place, he and Dan always do their best to accommodate their customers. read more

Perhaps the most honest business owner I've ever dealt with. Brought in a 3 yr old F150 with 36K miles. I believed it only needed its first brake job. However, the technician discovered it was more invasive than that. Dan called to tell me I unfortunately needed a front wheel bearing as well and the cost would be significantly higher than I expected. I agreed and instructed Dan and his technician to go ahead and complete the repair. As Dan waited for parts to arrive he decided to do some research in the midst of his already busy day. After several phone calls Dan discovered it was still covered under warranty, cited on my bill the contact name and local Ford dealer I could take it to at no cost. He saved me a considerable amount of money. Class act and a great resource for our community. Ed H Andover read more

Hi, I was hesitant to write a review, but after speaking to many folks, they urged me to write this so that others can make a decision about this place. I have a 2015 VW golf sportwagon deisel and I wanted an oil change. I thought I would use a local shop instead of taking it to the dealer... which is what I had always done. The shop owner gave me a price for the oil change that was almost double that which I paid at the dealer. I agreed to have it done, thinking that I would not bring it back, but at least I had given them the business on that day. I had to leave the car all day for an oil change, which was quite surprising. I picked it up late in the day and brought it home. All seemed ok. Then the next day, the clutch was broken (it was limp on the floor of the vehicle). So I had the car towed to Henry's for repair. After looking over the car, I was told that the clutch asembly needed to be replaced. A hefty price was put on the table. I agreed, and was told that the job required lifting out the transmission, and that this was a lot of work. I already knew that, so no surprise. I was told the job would take at least a full day or two. I called about the car after two days, and was told that 'parts' had not come in, so they hadn't started work on it. They expected to 'get the parts' the next day. The next day, same story. After a week, they finally 'had the part' but didn't get to the car until later in the day. The car was finally ready for me to pick up at the very end of a Friday. I picked up the car, and had somewhere to go, so I just drove it home. Something sounded very funny about the transmission... it was loud and the car changed gears very roughly. I called and left a message on Henry's phone answering machine, but there was no call back. After the weekend, I decided to take it back to a VW dealer, told them the course of events and asked them to look at things..... They said there was two problems... the first is that the wrong grade of oil was used for the oil change. The second was that when Henry's put the transmission back in after fixing the clutch, they didn't seat the gasket properly and the whole transimission was attached askew... that is why there was so much noise. When they were finished, my car again ran like new and I was happy. I just want to write this in case it helps someone else. read more

I wish there was an emoji available with hearts in it's eyes from Yelp. These guys helped me out when NO ONE would! Getting a company car stuck in a small garage is a nightmare, especially when no tow truck is willing to try to get it out. I got dozens of NO'S. Then I called Henry's. I explained the trouble, it's the battery..simple fix, no one will come out, no one will tow! He was there within the same day, at the exact time he said he would be, called beforehand to make sure I would be there, had the battery changed out and the car running within...5 minutes? He was incredibly gracious, kind, and when I got the bill I was pleasantly surprised. Not only was everything done online and I got receipts emailed to me within moments, but the price was very reasonable considering he came OUT TO ME! Not even doctors do house calls anymore. I was going to bring our sad and aging group of company cars back to the dealership for all their maintenance needs but now that I know how much they value my business I think I will be heading to Henry's for some real customer service and quality work. read more

Best experience I've ever had with a mechanic. Period. Henry and his team are awesome. Honest, respectful, smart, friendly with INCREDIBLE customer service. Henry, Dan and the crew are good guys. They helped me figure out what was really wrong with my car vs. the story I received from a dealership. And it wasn't just my experience. I had an opportunity to watch them in action while I waited for my car during a routine oil change. The customers came in like it was the back door to their Grandma's kitchen and the guys were as attentive and responsive to the 'drop-ins' as scheduled jobs. No one was turned away and the team handled all calls and customers with grace. In fact, Henry offered to go see one customer's car at his house so he wouldn't potentially damage it with driving over. Who does that? And don't get me started on the bathroom....that deserves it's own Yelp 5-star review. read more

Life savers! Was driving down to Florida the next day when my car sprung a transmission leak late afternoon before. These guys stayed overtime to get it fixed so I could leave on time the next day. Used these guys many time, always a great experience with good quality. Find another garage!!! They need to work on their ability to manage projects better. I'm extremely disappointed in the service. They didn't take care of my car and they didn't work on the things they promised to fix. - Long story short, I had my car towed to another shop after they had it for a month and didn't finish it. read more

These guys were incredibly thorough and very willing to work with me on going through my 2005 Jeep that needed of lots of repairs after years of neglect. Henry and his team are extremely knowledgeable and resourceful in troubleshooting problems. They found a few minor things I wasn't even aware of, like my heater/defroster fan was only working on one speed. Quick easy inexpensive fix. Prices were very fair and they were very courteous throughout the whole process. Prompt communications, even email with questions. I was very impressed when they advised me that I shouldn't spend the extra money on a dealer replacement part when machine shop repair would beas effective and $100's cheaper. There's a reason why they're always busy. HIghly recommend Henry's. read more

Being new to the Andover area, I needed to find a mechanic I could trust and give me the level of service I expect. I've driven by Henry's often in the past and always noticed the number of cars that were in for service and I also the make / models. I called and spoke with Dan who was very accommodating with scheduling an appt. When I dropped my 2001 Land Rover Discovery I met Henry, who immediately made me feel comfortable on my decision to bring my vehicle in for service. Work was done in a timely manner, pricing comparable and customer service was what I expect. Highly recommend Henry's for your automotive service needs. read more

Great place to take your car to get repairs. Very honest and quick turn around. The owner Henry is great to deal with.

These guys are fantastic. I recently moved, and decided to give Henry's a try and I have not been disappointed. The prices are reasonable and they go the extra mile to ensure the job is done correctly. I recently brought a 2003 Maxima to them with a check engine light on for an emissions system leak. I'll spare most of the details, but suffice it to say that tracking down the problem was difficult, and exacerbated by the fact that I brought parts from a junkyard to them to fix it. Henry and Dan were determined to fix the problem for me, and spent a lot of time doing so...much of which they didn't charge for. My car is now back on the road with a new inspection sticker, and without shelling out thousands of dollars. This isn't the first job they've done for me, and the others have been great as well. I highly recommend this place. read more

Trustworthy, highly recommend. Henry is great - he drove my car and diagnosed it letting me know that it was safe and I could have a problem later, but I didn't have to do anything now...which is exactly what I thought. Great, great, great is all I can say. Honest, thorough and just good guys here. Best experience, really. read more

Not super impressed. I think they are going downhill. I took my car in to get the AC looked at and they said I needed a new compressor. We were headed out of town, so we could not get the work done. $147 to diagnose the AC. Then I took the car to another place and they said it just needed a charge! So it is fixed for $99. I won't be going back. read more

Brought my 2005 Toyota Matrix in last week. Orignially went to dealer, but got the feeling they were trying to rip me off. It was a completely different experience at Henry's. I immediately got competent service. I am very satisfied with the work done and the quick time that it took. My car is running great. I will sure be back with any future issues. read more

They were very flexible and did not take advantage of an issue with respect to my 2005 Highlander, that had failed to pass inspection. They helped remedy the situation - and even took the car for the follow-up inspection to ensure it passed. Given the age of the car and other circumstances, I was really trying to manage the costs and they were very supportive in that regard. read more

Henry's saved me a ton of money on repairs to my 10-year old Nissan Murano. Dealer wanted to charge me over $1100 to replace the exhaust system and couldn't or wouldn't suggest other options to keep this old car on the road. Henry's suggested only the NEEDED repairs which came in at $120. Honest people with great customer service. read more

I had my car towed here when it broke down. Don't let the small building fool you, this place has great service. The mechanic who worked on my car was very knowledgeable and detailed. If you live in the area or break down like I did, I'd recommend coming here. read more

I've had my 2004 Honda Pilot in for service four times now in the past four months. Each time, I unfortunately had no idea what the final cost was going to be. I didn't get any kind of heads up about what the problem was, or when it would be fixed, or what the estimated cost would be. Long story short, their customer service is in need of repair (pardon the pun). As regards the work, they do good work, though there was one occasion when I needed to bring the car back in for re-work. Finally, cost: Henry (the owner) is very good about keeping the costs reasonable - even discounting when he realizes the tab is going to end up being more than originally expected. read more
