Can I give them 10 STARS??? I can't say enough good things about the great folks at VIP in Lawrence. I've been a customer for well over five years. I first went to VIP to have them look at a fairly significant repair to a jaguar for which the dealer had quoted a price to do the work that was more expensive than the car itself. VIP took a close look, talked to me at length about the required repairs, and was incredibly helpful in describing what my options were. Their quoted price was less than half of what the dealer had quoted. And, unlike the dealer, they promised to hold the repairs to that price. The work was extensive and I could not have been more pleased with the job they did. The mechanic who worked on the car, Shawn, is one of the most detail oriented and knowledge mechanics I have ever met. Their front office staff, Esteban, Manny, John, Alf, are similarly impressive in their knowledge but also a pleasure to work with. They take the time to explain, know their customer's needs, and to listen! I have all of my cars serviced there. I've also brought many cars to them to have them checked out before my kids purchased them. Every interaction without exception has been outstanding. I have been going to VIP for my auto service for a long time. The gentleman at the counter, or should I say the greatest man at the counter, Estevan Gracia, has always made sure my experience there was nothing short of 5 stars. There were days when VIP has been very busy, and even though you could tell that the staff was stressed, Estevan kept his cool and still provided every person in line with exceptional manners and solved each person's problems. He is the perfect definition of what a manager should be. The customer problems he could not solve right away, he was able to diffuse the situations and put the people at ease. I have never seen such consistency in service anywhere. I am in this shop quite often, so it is not like I just happen to catch Estevan on a good day. He is like this all the time. I would recommend VIP service to anyone. I have never had a problem with my car after they have touched it and they always give me the best price with the best available parts. I have been going to the Lawrence VIP for several years, for tires and more. As another review has mentioned, they will tell you honestly what does and doesn't need to be done (that advice saved me hundreds versus a dealer's service center). Example: dealer spent the whole day working on some car maintenance, and at the end of the day admitted they couldn't figure one thing out. This was after spending more than 45 minutes on it. Within 5 minutes on the lift @ VIP, they diagnosed an issue with my tie rod and explained what the symptoms would be. And some maintenance they recommended was about 1/2 of dealer's cost. The managers, Jon and now Estevan, are both knowledgeable and very friendly. And the workers I have met are both friendly and technically proficient. Even when things aren't perfect, they will do their best to make things right. Last note: they are VERY proud of their Make-A-Wish involvement, and I make sure I contribute each year. read more

After bringing my Volvo to 4 stations to diagnosis and repair the severe vibration and being told that it was safe to drive and there wasn't anything wrong, I went to VIP in Lawrence. They were polite and actually took my car for a test drive before putting it on the lift. It was quickly determined that that axel was bent, and needed replacement. My immediate concern was, how much is this going to cost?? And, I don't have time to leave my car for a day. Surprisingly, the cost was very fair and they did the job immediately. I was very impressed and called the manager the day to thank him. He knew who I was and every person that had come in contact with my repair. I'm always skeptical of the 'big box' garages, having had some bad experiences with some of the more common ones, and hearing countless horror stories, but this place is awesome. Their tire service is great, and they don't scratch the finish on my painted rims, as other places have. They won't sell you service you don't need, even if you tell them up front that you think you might need it. They'll do a proper inspection and give you an honest report. Jon, the service manager that's been there the last couple of times I've stopped in, is truly top notch. Professional, knowledgeable, takes the time to explain details, and very friendly. It's great to find a garage that really wants to earn your loyalty instead of nickle and dime every customer that walks through the door. read more

Excellent service as has always been my experience. When the problem (TPMS light) seemed to persist after the vehicle was handed back to me, the VIP staff (Manny) correctly told me that the problem would resolve on my way back home, otherwise I should tell them when I came back for re-torquing. The problem resolved as I was told. Then, surprisingly, it recurred while I waited for the re-torquing. The VIP staff promptly took care of the issue. I really appreciate all they do for me! I have been coming to VIP since I have been able to drive. They have always helped me when I have come with big jobs they always do the very best for me, especially Estevan and Miguel. They always keep me informed of my car and are always 100% honest with me. They are so hardworking and they are amazing at what they do. I recently bought a 2003 Ford Focus and sad to say its a disaster of a car but they gave me hope that it could get fixed soon and that it will run like new. On Good Friday and made an appointment with John a manager at VIP. I went in there with a perception that big companies are out to make a quick buck. Thinking companies like this take advantage of people who don't know the mechanics of how vehicles work. He took the time to explain what I didn't understand, he showed me all the things that were wrong with my car. I left there with a sense of security and now trusted these men to ensure my safety. I've serviced dozens of cars over the years with more mechanics than I could possibly count. Without exception, the folks at VIP are the best. They've worked on seven of my cars and I've found them to be the most qualified, easiest to work with, most cost effective, and responsive auto shop I've ever been to. I became stranded in Andover, MA and had to have my vehicle towed to VIP. They were friendly, looked at my vehicle right away and gave me an estimation of costs. I had to book a hotel and no taxi service was available (only did airport runs). One of the nice gentleman at VIP provided me a ride to the hotel and his co worker or boss, let him borrow his truck (as it was in the middle of snow storm). Always a good experience when I get my car serviced here. I don't go anywhere else. Not sure that I have mentioned before that the lounge is equipped with a Roku-enabled TV, coffee and WiFi. All compliments of the shop. These amenities certainly help the time pass. And you can watch the mechanics as they work on your vehicle. I had to replace all four tires and the job was done timely while I was waiting. The best part was that I can see them working on the car from the waiting room and I was very pleased to everything I saw that day. Amazing service! They were super nice and helpful and answered all my relentless questions without getting annoyed. I've been telling everyone I know to check them out because 1. your oil change is done in like 5 minutes and 2. they don't try to scam you and say you need to get a bunch of stuff done to your car when you don't. Very impressed with the entire experience. Jon (Manager) went out of his way to find and deliver the right tire for my Audi A4 the next day, as right tire was not in stock. Miguel mounted my spare in the meantime. Both very courteous and professional. Sean (mechanic) instructed me on alignment check result and did required alignment.
