These guys are great! I walked in with no appointment two days before Christmas asking for an oil change a headlight to be replaced and directional signal fixed no problem. They said they'll take great care of it. I got a phone call while I was at home waiting they noticed my serpentine belt was ready to go all dried and cracked. This is my fault. I had let that go and totally forgot about it. They replaced it. check the tensioners and pulleys to make sure they were OK and charged me reasonable money for all services rendered I have a new garage merry Christmas to all and to all a good night. read more

Until last week, I trusted these guys completely. Brought in my "new" used car for a noise complaint. Returned to me with a $2300 bill. Noise issue still there. Brought it back. Noise issue still persists. Have a new catalytic converter and pipe (which they had to adapt to fit) but was never contacted about the cost or extent of repairs. (They said I never would have passed inspection upcoming this July. That is now moot.) Am still in shock. And it was pointed out that I still need a muffler! Stay away if you're a senior and/or a woman. I was literally taken for a (noisy) ride. read more

They seem to do honest work here. I came in for a custom repair on my car and was quoted for $300-$375. They did the job same day even though it was busy for them. Came in and they said they were actually able to get the price down to $275. They even explained everything they did to my car. Great service, great price. read more

Shady business being done at this place, my fiancée decided to come in to get his back brakes done and a oil change. They quoted him $641 to replace his right back passenger side rotor, caliper, and both back brakes. After he paid hours later he realized his oil sticker was never replaced nor was his oil percentage reset. He checked his oil to find out there was no oil in his car. When he calls Jim Charlton the shop manager tells him there was "some miscommunication with the technician yesterday to come in and they'll change the oil". After he goes in, he realizes only one side of his back brakes was replaced and worked on. He told me he'd just find a new mechanic from now on and won't use Towne Line. I told him to leave a negative google review but said he'd rather just stop doing business with them. I don't think what they did to him was fair nor were they transparent about only working on one brake pad after telling him they'd do his back brakes as a set. I will continue to speak to others in the community about what they did to him, and let's see how much more business they receive after this. We will be reaching out to the Lowell Sun and BBB. read more

Bill and Jimmy at Towne Line are the best! They always tell me exactly what my car needs immediately and what can wait, and they are always trying to find ways to save me money (a pretty rare trait to find in an auto mechanic!) Yesterday I hit a huge pothole and my car suddenly got LOUD. Today I brought it in and they found that one of the pipes in my exhaust system had come loose. Instead of telling me I had to replace the whole system, which I think many mechanics would have, and which would have cost over $600, they were able to simply fix the piece of pipe that had broken. After only a couple hours and $150, I had my car back as good as new. This is the only place I will ever bring my car! read more

The chains may advertise the lowest price but then the tell you that you need a lot of work that you dont need, specifically struts (ntb) or rotors (mineke). Finally I found a reliable and trustworthy place for auto service that charges fair prices! After recently being referred to Towne Line by another auto mechanic (good sign), I've had two of my cars serviced here and both cars were serviced professionally and the services were explained to me in all the detail I wanted. I didn't get the feeling that I was getting sold on services I didn't need which was comforting. Both Bill and Jim earned my business for all 4 of my cars going forward! My only wish for improvement would be to stay open a little later in the evening and maybe have Saturday service hours which is a big help to those of us that work M-F from 8 to 6 pm. read more

My wife took her car to the dealer for service, after telling her she needed brake pads, & rotars, she called me and asked me what to do. I told her to tell them no. I took her car to Towne Line Tire, who I have used for my car for years. After inspecting the car I did not need anything done to the brakes. The pads and rotars where fine.
