They performed their diagnostic and told me the transmission was fine and my problem was due to an engine misfire. Not only did they give me the OBD codes for the misfire issue but they didn't even charge me for the diagnosis! I was very impressed with their expertise and honesty and strongly recommend Northeast Transmission. But as for those guys at "AAM__" . . . . .

The cheap route ended up being HELL ON EARTH for me because it took 3 months for the job to be completed, only for the wrong motor to be installed twice. After three months of the job not getting done correctly, they tried giving me the car back saying it was fine and sent me ob my way to my possible death. I knew it wasn't fine. I bought it to Mechanics Direct so the could do a full inspection to see where the amateurs messed up. Come to find out they installed the wrong motor and the tire rod was about to fall off. The amateur mechanics refused to give a refund until I threatened them with a lawsuit. I knew about mechanics direct because I lived in the area and have always been hesitant because I knew they were expensive. I was at a point with my car though where I did not care about the cost I just wanted my car back after being away from it for multiple months. I could not be happier with the result. Mechanics Direct's professionalism have made me a life long costumer. Not only did my car get the motor swap done in less than a week, they paid for me to use a rental for the week. They discovered that the noise the other mechanic told me to not worry about was a tire rod that was loose too! My wheel could have fallen off if I didn't go to these guys. I went insane with my last mechanic and mechanics direct brought me peace of mind. You can't put a price tag on peace of mind. My car drives better than ever before. I am a satisfied customer knowing my family and I are safe in the road. Yes the cost is more expensive, but you get what you pay for, and that's PROFESSIONAL SERVICE and PEACE OF MIND. Recently my wife washed our key fob through the laundry destroying the circuit board in the fob making the minivan go crazy beeping, not starting, doors opening, etc. They ordered and reprogrammed the key for our van. We had a flat tire on our car and instead of ordering all new tires they actually repaired the damaged tire at a fraction of the cost. I had a complete overhaul of my 2009 Toyota Venza done by them two years ago because it was stalling out and bad things were starting to happen. I was kind of nervous to have all that work done because the car is up there in miles at 150k+. The Venza has run like a top ever since and I think about all the money they saved me as a result. The car still runs great and I've had to just do basic maintenance ever since. I don't usually write many reviews but these guys definitely deserve it. Overall if you take your car, truck or van there, you'll thank me. The place is clean, the owner John is super friendly, they know what they're talking about and not once have I ever felt like they tried to sell me on something I didn't need, which has not been my experience at many of the other shops.
