So many people have left bad reviews about the woman at the front desk, and today my experience was…read moreno different. I went to this store today. Before walking to the front desk, I spoke with two employees outside the shop. They were very polite and told me that before they could check my tire, I needed to go inside and speak with the woman at the front desk. I greeted her and said, "Hi," but she didn't respond. I thought maybe she was just having a bad day. She walked with me to my car, and the first thing she said was that my tire was low because I had a ladder on the roof of my vehicle. Then she pointed to the tire and claimed that was the cause of the problem. I checked it myself, and there was no air leaking. She simply said, "I can't work on your car." I said, "All right," and left. She spoke very loudly for no reason and was very unprofessional in the way she treated a potential customer. I then went to another nearby store, and guess what? They found a small nail in my tire. That proved the problem had nothing to do with the ladder on my vehicle, as she had claimed.

I do not usually do reviews but felt compelled in this case to give kudos to Hogan Tire in Lowell…read more Late on the night of July 7 I was driving from home in NJ to a hotel in Lowell, MA on the way to my nephew's wedding in NH. somewhere in Connecticut the tire pressure monitoring system began to report low air pressure in the right front tire. I made it to the hotel that night and figured I picked up a nail in the tire and would get it plugged the next morning. The next morning I went to Hogan Tire, explained the situation and mentioned that I had to go to a wedding that day up in NH. They brought the car into the shop immediately and assessed the situation. The good news was that the tire was fine. The bad new was that one of the ubiquitous potholes hit the night before cracked my alloy rim. Hogan put me in a rental car through their partnership with Enterprise at a very reasonable rate. While I went to the wedding, they sent my rim out to be welded and completed the repair that day. After the wedding I drove back to Hogan, dropped off the rental vehicle and picked up my car after business hours. The repair was well executed and I drove back to NJ that night. Not only did Hogan do all possible to help me out, they did the work at a very fair price. Reality was they could have charged me just about anything they wanted as I was in a bind. They did well by me and I give them two thumbs up. Many thanks! Ken NJ

I'm going to start with the online appointment discount scam because I believe that if you make an…read moreappointment three days in advance you should not have to wait 45 minutes after your appointment to see someone working on your vehicle but that was the case here! Then there's the 10 minutes that I had to wait until someone came out of the garage and into the front office to check me in! Then I noticed the person doing the tire installation wandering around for 20 minutes looking for my tires that I had already paid for! Then I saw that there were 3 other workers standing around doing absolutely nothing and watching 1 person doing all of the work on my car. Then one of the employees that were standing around doing nothing went to help women that seemed to have a problem with her wheel and he got the wrong size socket stuck on one of her lug nuts so the one person doing work on my car had to stop and help get the socket off of her lug nut and use the right size socket which took another 5 minutes. I had made the mistake of asking them to check my brakes while the tires were off and the employee who checked the brakes came in and told me that my rotor on one side was worn, and that I needed to replace all of the rotors on the vehicle Vehicle so I asked them if they turn rotors and he said no we don't recommend turning rotors that It's better to buy new rotors and the price was going to be $1500 ,I checked Midas pricing for brakes before I went to this place and it was $790 if I had to turn all four rotors and get pads so they were trying to sell me something that I didn't need and I had to wonder how many poor souls had been ripped off by this place.I had also made the mistake of buying there windshield wipers that came with free installation and it took 2 employees to figure out how to install them and when they finally brought my car out to me , the windshield wipers were a 1/4 of the way up on my windshield so I had the two employees that installed them come out to fix the problem and they said that my windshield wipers were like that when I got there which was obviously a lie and they couldn't figure out that all I had to do was push this passenger side windshield wiper down to snap back in place so I had to do it for them! I cannot now or ever recommend this place to anyone ever! If I could give it -5 stars, I would!
