I've been coming to Nhan for 5 years and he is the ONLY reason I was able to keep my car running through grad school. He's extremely kind and always fair in his pricing. He will give you a detailed explanation of what is wrong as well as multiple pictures of the issue/repair so that you understand exactly what you're paying for. He will even text me a few days after a repair to make sure everything is running correctly. I send all my friends to Nhan and you can trust him too!! read more

I moved to Lowell a couple of years ago and discovered Dutton Street Auto Repair shortly after arriving here. There had been some major work done on my Honda Civic a few months earlier, and it turned out my previous mechanic had performed a shoddy job. Nhan was great about explaining to me what had been done incorrectly, even texting me photos of the problems and the poorly installed part. Since then my wife and I have both used this garage a number of times and we've found Nhan to be responsive, honest, transparent, and fair in his pricing. He's truly a pleasure to work. I unreservedly recommend this place. read more

Real nice and honest guy! The holidays are approaching and my check engine light just came up when I need to travel to NY. I called him up and explained the situation. Since his entire schedule was packed up in the next coming days, he patiently explained to me how to diagnose and correct the problem myself on phone in detail. Following all the instructions I did get to diagnose the problem but fixing it was not easy for me to do it myself. So I called him up again to see if he could squeeze out some time from his busy schedule just to help me a little bit. And so nice of him that he agreed and asked me to show up next morning at his garage (although he still had other cars to work on). I did try to call other mechanics earlier but they were not even slightly helpful. All they said was to replace the part which would cost $$, however, this guy told me replacing is not the way to go first. We should try to clean and unclog the part first. We did it and the check engine light is now gone! Any problems again in future I will always go to this guy. read more

Nhan is the most honest mechanic I have met. He only fixes what is necessary -- never tries to upsell something. Always shows the parts he removes from the car and points out the issue. Very reasonable priced. He has saved me thousands of dollars over the years I have been going to him compared to what I would pay a dealer, or even other mechanics. I won't let anyone else work on my cars other than Nhan. He is the absolute Best there is. read more

I've experienced a lot better. Where I lived before closer to the city the two main garages I went to were amazing! Never had any complaints about them. Dutton street seems to lack new equipment, which with the more modern these cars are getting - a garage needs to be up to date. I like to get to know owners of businesses and their employees, makes me feel better knowing where I do my business. From what I've seen and heard the owner is hardly ever on site... which I think is strange and I don't like one bit. read more
