All good. I had an issue with the dealership. It was a little frustrating but the manager gave me a call back and helped with the issue

    | My Dream Car Became My Worst Financial Nightmare…read more I never imagined I'd be writing a review like this, but I hope my experience helps someone else avoid making the same mistake I did. When I first visited Davis Acura, I genuinely felt welcomed. The staff was friendly, and the buying experience felt personal. I had always dreamed of owning an Acura, so when I was presented with the opportunity, I was excited. I was also left with the impression that my financing options were limited and that this vehicle was essentially my best chance at getting approved. I trusted that buying an Acura from an Acura dealership meant I was purchasing a quality vehicle that would be dependable for years. I purchased the vehicle "as is" for nearly $30,000 with zero money down. Looking back, I understand what "as is" means, and I take responsibility for signing the contract. However, I never expected a vehicle at this price point to begin having serious problems almost immediately. Within three days of ownership, the vehicle developed electrical issues. I brought it back for repairs, and after multiple visits those issues were addressed. Shortly afterward, I noticed a bumping sensation while driving. I was told it was simply due to tire wear, so I trusted the dealership's expertise. About a month and a half after purchasing the vehicle, I began hearing a ticking noise from the engine. I immediately brought it to the service department. A technician opened the hood, listened to the engine, and told me the sound was simply a characteristic of the high-pressure fuel pump. The vehicle was never test-driven or diagnosed while I was there. I specifically asked if I should be concerned or replace anything. I was told no--that this was normal. Trusting the professionals who service these vehicles every day, I accepted that answer. Approximately two weeks later, the ticking became dramatically louder. I immediately called the dealership, explained the situation, and scheduled another service appointment. Roughly 30 minutes later--before I even had the chance to bring it back--the engine failed. When I contacted the dealership again, I hoped my previous visits and documented concerns would matter. Instead, I was told that because my vehicle did not have powertrain warranty coverage, the repair was entirely my responsibility. The original repair estimate was approximately $16,000. It was later reduced to around $7,600, and while I appreciate the effort to lower the cost, that doesn't change the reality that I had owned the vehicle for only about six weeks before suffering catastrophic engine failure. I asked if there was any way to put me into another vehicle. I asked them to exhaust every possible resource available to help me. I was told there were no other options. Throughout this process I was repeatedly sent back and forth between sales and service. Sales told me it was a service issue. Service said they would speak with sales. I spent countless hours making phone calls, searching for someone who could actually help. The one exception was Steve. He treated me with kindness, communicated professionally, and genuinely seemed to do everything he could within his authority. I sincerely appreciate his efforts. Today I'm still responsible for roughly a $900 monthly car payment on a vehicle I barely owned before its engine failed. That vehicle was my transportation, my source of income, and my financial stability. Losing it has put me in the worst financial situation of my life. Mechanical failures can happen. What has been hardest to accept is feeling that my concerns were dismissed before the engine failed and that, afterward, there was no meaningful solution beyond paying thousands more for a vehicle I had just purchased. If you're considering buying a vehicle here--especially one sold "as is"--please have it independently inspected, understand every detail of your warranty, and don't assume that buying from a manufacturer-branded dealership guarantees peace of mind. I truly hope no one else has to experience what I've gone through.

Beware of the financing / pricing tactics at this dealership. I came in knowing the man in charge…read morebased on a friends referral. They did not take care of My husband and I. I was in a bind and needed a car asap. I now have an agronomical loan-to-value (LTV) ratio meaning I owe $11, 000 thousand more than the car is even worth today. They focused entirely on the 'monthly payment' to distract me from the total loan amount and the 84-month term they locked me into. This is predatory lending at its worst. I left thinking I got a deal, but I'm now financially trapped in a car that I can't sell or trade without coming up with over $10,000 out of pocket. Do yourself a favor and bring your own financing from a credit union--do not trust their 'in-house' math."

Less than six months ago, I purchased a 2017 Hyundai Tucson from this dealership for my daughters to share. Recently the service light came on, and after bringing the vehicle in for service at Fred Beans Hyundai (as recommended by the Kia service department), I was told the car needs a complete transmission replacement costing over $3,300. A major mechanical failure like a transmission should not occur within six months of purchasing a vehicle. This raises serious concerns about the condition of the vehicle when it was sold and about the dealership's inspection process. Vehicles sold by dealerships marketed as fully inspected and reliable, yet here we are facing a major failure almost immediately. After doing some research, I also discovered that transmission issues with the 2017 Hyundai Tucson have been widely reported. As a customer, I had no way of knowing this history when purchasing the vehicle, but a dealership that sells cars for a living certainly should be aware of common problems associated with certain models. What has been most disappointing is the complete lack of support from the Fred Beans organization. When I reached out, I was essentially told there was nothing they could do. The Kia dealership and Hyundai dealership--both part of the same Fred Beans company--seem unwilling to work together in any meaningful way to help a customer dealing with a major failure shortly after purchase. To be clear, I was not asking for a free repair or a new vehicle. I simply hoped the dealership would show some level of customer service and work with me toward a reasonable compromise given the circumstances. Instead, the response was dismissive and left me entirely on my own with a $3,300 repair bill. Situations like this are exactly when a dealership has the opportunity to show integrity and stand behind the vehicles they sell. Unfortunately, that did not happen here. At this point, it feels like once the paperwork is signed, customer support from Fred Beans disappears completely.

I'm extremely disappointed with my Kia and want to warn anyone considering buying one. Kia has long…read morebeen aware of widespread defects with their pearl white (Snow White Pearl) paint, yet they continue to avoid taking real responsibility. The paint on my vehicle began peeling in sheets, exposing bare metal, even though the car was well maintained and garage‑kept. This isn't an isolated issue. Thousands of owners have reported the same problem across multiple models. Consumer complaint data shows: * Most affected color: Snow White Pearl (SWP) * Typical failure window: 3-6 years after purchase * Nature of defect: Paint separates from the primer layer, not caused by chips or impact * Estimated repaint cost: $2,000-$6,000 out of pocket On top of the paint problems, my engine burns oil at an unacceptable rate -- another issue many Kia owners report. A modern engine should not require constant top‑offs or risk long‑term damage. Between the defective paint and the engine problems, I will never buy another Kia again. A manufacturer should stand behind its product, and Kia simply hasn't.
