For people like me who endlessly research and compare quotes to try to save a few bucks, buying a car is an absolute nightmare. In my experience, dealing with car salesmen is like trying to make friends with your prison bunk mate who you just met and you play nice with at first but aren't sure whether or not they're going to shank you in your sleep. This was my experience for most dealers as one by one they refused to provide quotes, ghosted me or outright insulted me for daring to take their sh*tty quote and share it with another dealer to see if they were willing to beat said sh*tty quote. But Katharine at Faulkner was like a breath of fresh air compared to the two faced monsters at most of the other dealers. She was kind, genuine, responsive and great to work with through a process that I hated from the moment I reached out to my first dealership. I wish the car buying experience could be what Katharine provided for everyone interested in purchasing a vehicle. I highly recommend Katharine for your saleswoman and encourage anyone who is interested in buying a vehicle to ask for her by name if you want a car buying experience that all dealerships should strive for. read more

Very poor communication from start to finish. Had we not called service department an hour before they closed we would have been stranded without a loaner car. Again when car was finished, 3 days later than told... no phone call. We had to call. Price quoted was nearly doubled. Quoted $700 final bill $1300. When we questioned bill the service guy reduced to $1000. Felt like i was dealing with a salesman. Never going back. read more

Faulkner Hyundai was one of the highest-rated service centers in Philadelphia, so I had high expectations. Anthony, the rep at the service desk, was amazing--very helpful and went above and beyond to meet my needs, from scheduling a Lyft to answering my invoice questions. I visited to get a transmission fluid flush and specifically asked for the timing cover to be inspected for an oil leak, thinking it would be efficient since the timing cover is near where one of the transmission fluids is filled. After a multi-point inspection, they reported the oil pan gasket was leaking, which is on the passenger side, opposite the timing cover located on the driver's side. After waiting five hours, I was told my car wouldn't be ready until the next day, leading me to believe they were fixing the correct leak and changing the transmission fluid. The next day, after picking up my car, I noticed acceleration issues on the drive home. When I checked under the hood, I found oil splattered across the engine bay and the dipstick not inserted properly, causing the mess. While mistakes happen, leaving my car overnight should have been enough time to ensure everything was fixed. Thankfully, I caught it before worse damage occurred. Wanting to double-check, I put the car on a lift and inspected underneath, only to find oil still leaking at a noticeable rate--something that should have been impossible to miss. I took my car to a local mechanic and in 5 minutes it was diagnosed the transmission oil was overfilled and leaking from the top breather cap. I called the dealership four times within two hours of picking up my vehicle that same day, but never got an answer when forwarded to the service department and couldn't leave a voicemail for my service advisor because his mailbox was full. I eventually left a message on the general service mailbox. These calls were made between 2:30 and 3:30, well before closing at 5 p.m. I plan to contact the General Manager, corporate, and the BBB. I'll never have my car serviced at this location again--it was the worst dealership experience I've ever had. I'm taking my vehicle elsewhere to get the timing cover fixed. It's alarming to think Hyundai allows this level of service and how much damage could be done to other vehicles. I documented everything with photos: the oil dipstick not fully inserted by the tech, oil splattered across my engine bay, fresh oil residue still leaking onto the transmission case from the timing cover, and a poorly done gasket on the oil pan. I also have a screenshot of my unanswered calls forwarded to the service department. All of this was recorded within two hours of picking up my car. read more

Number 1 Customer service is honestly some of the worst I've experienced. Every time I call to schedule an appointment, it takes 5-6 attempts because there's no voicemail and no way to leave a message. It's extremely frustrating. That said, once you finally get through, the service itself is very professional, and the sales team goes above and beyond to make customers feel comfortable. Still, I feel like I'm being forced to use Fred Beans in Abington because the process of simply reaching someone is so difficult. read more

Had my car towed here, took them more than 2 months to give me a diagnosis. Told them my warranty would expire soon and they dragged their feet with communicating to the warranty company. Charged me over $600 for the diagnosis. Had my vehicle towed from their service department and was able to get it fixed in 2 weeks by the next shop that communicated more effectively with the warranty company. I didn't pay anything out of pocket once I got away from them! Horrible service, felt like I got scammed. read more

Absolutely stellar service. I had an issue with my car and needed urgent repairs. This dealership was the closest and had my car towed here. The following day I stopped in to speak with service to explain my situation and see what they could do for me. I witnessed multiple customers giving them a really hard time arguing for no real reason while Steve (one of the service advisors) handle the situation with the patience of a saint. When he got to me he was super helpful, understanding and curious. He was able to get all my information check me and and setup to have it looked at later. They were able to get my car all fixed up for a reasonable price in just a couple days. This was absolutely how service should be done. Hats off to Steve for his good work. read more

I will keep this short. My son bought a 2023 Hyundai Elantra from Faulkner with 6000 miles on it. A few months later, the vehicle (while parked and not running) burst into flames. The fire started inside the dash. (Seems electrical) The response from the dealership was an impolite "This has nothing to do with us" and they sent us away. So... My advice is to not purchase anything here as the product may be defective and if it is, well good luck. In our case this was a $23,000.00 defective product with no accountability from the seller. I thank god everyday that the car was not in our garage at night when this happened. read more

I made an appt. for my wifes' 2025 Venue in early April. She purchased it in April 0f 2025. She only drove it for a bit, and it sat in the driveway for about a year. I started it up now and then so the battery wouldn't die. I had a 10:45 appt. on 4/15/2025 for an inspection and oil change. It didn't need an emissions test since the car only had 305 miles on it. That's right ...305 miles. I pulled into the about 10:35 and let the manager (Steve McNeil) know that it only needed an oil change and inspection. He said that it would take between 2 and 2/12 hours. I jokingly said I could do it in about 15 minutes. Anyway, they got me an Uber ride home and I did things while I waited. At 12:45, no call. O.K. At 1:15 , no call. Hmmm. At 1:45, no call. Now it's 3 hours. 2:15 no call. At 2:45 (4 hours now) ,no call. Then I got my neighbor to drive me to Service Dept. I got there at 3 P.M. and I said that I dropped my car off for an oil change and inspection. Steve McNeil (the manager ) said that they haven't started work on it yet. I couldn't believe it! I told Steve that I had an appt. for 10:45, and he said to me, "You made an appt. with me". I repeated what I said and he said the same thing, "you made an appt. with me". I said " Are you telling me that I have to make appt. with you , and then you make an appt. with the mechanic"? He said "basically". At about that time the other guy behind the desk (Del Taylor), chimed in and said "This isn't like a Doctor's office". I must be losing my mind, because I don't remember asking him for his opinion. At that time Steve ran back to the shop, came back and said it would be about a half an hour. When the car was done and paperwork signed, it was about 3:37 P.M. when I left. Roughly 5 hours for an oil chang and inspection on a vehicle with only 305 miles. Unbelievable! Needless to say, since 2015 I've leased a 2015 Nissan Altima from Faulkner Jenkintown, and then a 2018 Nissan Rogue from Faulkner Jenkintown. In 2021, I purchase a 2021 Tuscon from Faulkner Hyundai, then a 2024 Tuscon from Faulkner Hyundai. Then in April 2025 ,my wife purchase a 2025 Hyundai Venue from Faulkner Hyundai. I have an appt. for my 2024 Tuscon to get inspected this Monday which I'll keep, but after this, I will never Lease, Purchase, or use their Service (?) Dept. again. Like the saying goes, "Fool me once, shame on you,....Fool me twice, shame on me". Faulkner won't get the chance to fool me twice. read more

I came here for a slow leak tire issue on a Saturday morning with no appointment. After being told that it may be a few hours wait because of other scheduled appointments, Johnny Yeun came to me saying one of the techs had a spot open in the garage and let me take it. I only had to wait 75 minutes overall, and my tire was fixed. Additionally, I was told there was a recall and that was addressed, too. Johnny was professional and courteous with me and did not make me feel as if I was causing problems by coming in without an appointment. Good customer service means I'd come back to Faulkner Hyundai. P.S. I did not purchase my car here, so this review has nothing to do with the other reviews on Yelp dealing with auto sales. This is only for the service repairs and their helpful staff. read more

I've come here multiple times to get my car serviced and EVERY time it takes 2-3 times longer than they tell me it will. The front desk staff seem nice enough but honestly, it's ridiculous. I dropped my car off at 8:45 for an oil change and tire rotation. They told me 90 minutes and they'd call when my car was ready. I didn't wait at the dealership and ran some errands. Around 10:30 (15 minutes after that original 90 minute estimate) I was in the area so I popped back in and said I'd finish waiting there. The front desk guy tells me my car won't be ready till 11 because that's when he told the tech to have it ready by. Why he'd tell me and the tech different times, I'm not sure. But whatever, I'm already here. I said no problem and wait. He comes back out at 11:09 to tell me they had lift issues and my car is finally down but all the bays are full and my tires haven't been rotated yet. It'll be ANOTHER 30 minutes or I can just leave with my oil change. If this was a one time issue, I'd be okay with it. Things happen, I get it. But this sort of issue seems to arise every single time I come for service. If I wait her or leave it doesn't matter. It takes 3 hours for something that should take 30 minutes. Ridiculous! read more

This was by far the worst Service I have ever had in my life"!!! So this morning 10/24 I had a Service Appt. for 8:45. I'm a early bird so earlier is always better for me. I pull up to Faulkner and this is only my second time here for service since I got the car a little over a year ago. So I look around to try to make my way to the service area. I didn't know the exact procedures when getting your car serviced. So I got out to the car and started to walk in the direction of the garage where two men were standing talking. As one guy saw me walking towards him, I guess he already knew I was confused lol. So he said "If you are here for service you can pull right in". I pulled in and a nice young man walked up and checked for my Appt then took my keys to the car. He asked if I had my Insurance and Registration. I said "oh no I'm sorry I didn't know I need it, but I can pull my insurance up online". He was really nice and said "ok go in, I'm sure he can help you at the front desk". So I walk in and get to the front desk. Where one guy was on the phone helping a customer, no problem. Then a woman comes behind the counter looks in my direction and says nothing. So the guy who was on the phone with the customer has now hung up, and also looked in my direction but said nothing. Neither one... Not a "hi", "I'll be right with you" nothing at all. So then a couple more workers walk in and go behind the counter and have a couple words an then go back to doing what they were doing. So now the woman and the man are still being behind the counter talking. I'm standing right in front of the counter and no one has yet to acknowledge me. So now I'm a little annoyed because of the blatant disrespect. Seriously, how dare someone act as if No one is standing in front of them for ten minutes....So I initate getting some help. "Hi Goodmorning is this where I stand for help?" The lady looks and walks off and the guy says "yes one moment and some other words". But being in the business of service I should have not been waiting 10 minutes and maybe longer if I didn't speak first. Also I must add, was the only one standing in line". Finally the guy who took my car keys from me may have felt bad and came in and tells the guy I don't have my registration and insurance card. Then the guy behind the counter says "ok you don't have them can you pull them up online". I let him know and show him my cellphone that I already have the insurance pulled up online and asked how do I go about pulling registration on line... He stated "he didn't know how to get the registration online but if I had a old one or my recent one on me. Don't ask me why he asked about a recent one. Since it was stated I had neither physical copy on me. I say "no" and he says "well there is nothing I can do without the registration". In which I said "ok fine if it can't be done it can't be done".. I'm not upset that I couldn't get my inspection because obviously I was unprepared. This is my first time ever financing a car. The first time I got my car serviced it was so long ago I can't even remember what they asked for. But being as though they asked for it today I quess I did have both insurance card and registration on me the first time. Things happen I can only fault myself. However, the lack of customer service is what upset me. I left Faulkner feeling drained and disrespected after that brief encounter. Never when going into a place for a service that you are spending your hard earned money on should you feel disrespected. Especially when you are walking into a place of business giving respect. The guy behind the counter didn't even say " I'm sorry we can't do it without those documents, but I can reschedule you for another appointment if you like". He just put his head down and finished doing nothing as he was before. If I knew this would be the type of service I got when it would be time for me to get my car serviced, I would have not chose Faulkner to purchase my car from. With all that is going on in the world/daily life I don't expect to be drained when taking my car for a simple car serviced. When employees take on positions that are to be of service to others. They need to be personable or maybe customer service Is not for them. Their attitude should be pleasant and not selective on who gets the pleasant side. You know we hate to bring race into pictures but when things like this happen. You question if it was someone else of a different color standing there would they have been acknowledged quicker or at all in my case. Do better Faulkner.... Side note--- on the way home I was so upset of the interaction the I couldn't get it off my heart. So I called Faulkner to speak with the lady that was behind the counter at the time. Of course in her head she did everything perfect(go figure). The cameras don't lie though!! read more

2 hours for an oil change ! No thanks Made an appointment on a Friday afternoon at 2pm for an oil change for my 2015 Santa Fe Sport. It did not appear to be very busy at all but they took almost 2 hours. No one came and spoke with me to let me know if anything else was wrong with my car and I had to go to the desk to ask how much longer it was going to take. The waiting room definitely could of had some refreshments or fresh coffee something ! It had empty and outdated coffee pitchers and no refreshments. Faulkner was one of the dealerships my husband and I were communicating with during my search for a new car. Starting with a test drive, emailing back and forth about price quotes, and my experience in the dealership itself, Faulkner was fantastic! Not only were they clear about their pricing and easy to work with, they were able to get us the best price in the local area for our new car. We worked with Damon Damanti and Rob Marjarum through email (thank you Rob for having the back to back emails and prompt responses that resulted in over 40 emails between us to answer any questions or concerns we had!) and Bryce Dipaola at the dealership who were all great and very helpful. Think twice before coming here for service! I took my car in last weekend Friday at 3pm for an oil change and a clicking sound coming from my dash area. ( 2016 Genesis with 28k miles) I was told by Raven That she will give me a call when they find out the issue... Friday No call , Sat all day no call..... I took Monday off from work so they will have time to fix my car... Monday noon still no call!! I called the dealer all morning long and could not get anyone from service.... finally I get Emily at 2:30 pm.. she said they are NOW working on my oil change and that the tech could "NOT" hear any Sound coming from my car... I said "Emily that's impossible I hear it every day you can't miss it. Please have him test drive it again without the Ac on" I can also come on the test drive if needed... Emily said ok I will call you back. She NEVER did... .. So I catch an Uber to the dealer to see what's up with my car.. it's (5pm Monday) 3 days later.... when I walk in I say I'm here to check on my car. I was told " you have to wait I'm the only one here" I asked for raven "she is off today" asked for Emily "she is gone for the day" .... so I wait!!!. Finally when it's my turn .. I was told that a sound was heard from my car but the tech was gone for the day.... i then asked Can i have my car I need to report back to work tomorrow.:.. he then said " I have to check, if it's taken a part I can't give it to you"... ... I said " can i have a rental so my car Can get fixed?" NO sorry we don't have any!! .... he comes back and tells me he will pull my car around and that my oil change is FREE, since I was having a hard day. " I will have Emily call you tomorrow Tuesday July 30th and schedule a rental to have your 2016 Hyundai Genesis looked out" It's Sat the 3rd and Emily still has not called me back. I left messages on the service email! Asked to speak to Billy "service manager" he won't be back till the 7th I'm told... And Steve the GM is Unavailable.. ‍‍‍ what to do???? May be good for sales, but service not so much. Every time my car is in for warranty repair, there is always an upsell, or always a reason to charge. Never really had an issue with being charged for diagnostics until recently. At most dealerships loyalty means something. Not here. I purchased my last car here and had it serviced exclusively at their service department and wrote the very first Yelp review. When our Elantra was totaled, Faulkner was the first place I went to. We loved our last car so much that we wanted the exact same year and model. Faulkner had one that wasn't as meticulously cared for as our last one, but we were still interested. The price they wanted for it was on the upper end of Blue Book. I was a bit surprised and put off. I later found a few other cars exactly the same year and model at other dealerships that were in better condition and a few thousand less. The experience we had here made us realize that we didn't matter to Faulkner and made us choose another car brand. We love our Toyota! read more

I'm an extremely skeptical and cautious person when it comes to dealerships. I've dealt with my share of scumbag dealers and shady practices over the years. When my car died, I went to Faulkner Hyundai first, but did not purchase right away. I took about a week and a half to finally make up my mind, and I shopped around quite a bit at other local Hyundai dealers. From my first visit to my last, Faulkner impressed me way beyond the other dealerships. They maintained an exquisite and professional atmosphere, the salesmen were friendly and personable, never once did I feel rushed... I kept expecting that eventually "salesmanship" would rear its ugly head, but it became clear that they have a very modern philosophy to their profession. I was most impressed with their transparency. They gave me all the numbers up front when I asked for them, including the all important money factor on the lease depending on which credit tier I fell into. I checked the numbers over and over, returned with a zillion questions, they patiently answered every question to satisfaction. I left, shopped around, no one came close for the vehicle and options I wanted. The best part was when I finally decided to pull the trigger, there was absolutely no trickery involved... I got the exact pricing, down to the penny, that i was quoted when I originally asked for a printout of the numbers... Okay, I'm rambling... but an honest business is hard to come by these days, and deserves a solid recommendation. So thanks a lot for the experience Faulkner... Mike, Billy, Howard, and there are several others who helped me along the way that I'm neglecting to mention... you guys were great, and I'll see you when my lease runs out. read more

If I could give them no stars I would first when I bought the car I asked for Bluetooth in the car and after everything was done we went to leave with the car and turns out no Bluetooth. They told me I never asked for Bluetooth and there would be nothing they could do unless I pay. After that I got letters from Hyundai telling me the gas mileage was wrong in my car and I was actually gettin less MPG then I was under the impression I was getting. I now have nothing but problems with the car. I have been to the dealership once a week over the past six months to get something fixed. My car does nothing but stahl out or the check engine light comes on every week. Also the car does nothing but rattle when idling. Everytime I take the car back they tell me they have fixed the problem and the next week something else happens and I have to go back. I talked to the manager and told him to give me another car with the same mileage and he told me he couldn't do that because I payed cash so I would have to come up with a couple thousand dollars to give them. I bought a new car because I didn't want my car in and out of the shop and I have heard that Hyundai was a good reliable car, well I was wrong this is the worst car I have ever owned and the worst dealership I have ever dealt with.
