I had high hopes for this place. I walked in, and the guy behind the counter didn't even acknowledge me as I stood right in front of him. I finally said hi and he asked how he could help. I told him I needed an oil change. He gruffly said, "We can get to it tomorrow." He wasn't friendly, not apologetic, and gave me the distinct impression that he really didn't give a care about my business. It was 4:15 on a Thursday, and they close at 6. I would have thought they could get me in, but even if they couldn't - there's no excuse for his behavior. I walked out and will never go back. There are plenty of oil change places out there that actually seem to care about their customers. read more

They call to tell me oil change is done. I go in and he says $32.96 I say why so cheap? Did you do the full synthetic? He pauses, stammers and prints a new receipt $55.58. He gives the mechanic a new sticker to put in my window. I ask him are you sure? I pay $55.58 and leave feeling very little trust that I got what I paid for. I would have been fine if he said oops we did regular, but I feel switching the receipt and sticker tells the story. What do you think? I will know for sure if my car's notification tells me it's ready for an oil change in 3,000 miles or 5,000 miles. read more

Mike More Miles is THE place to go for all car repairs. I've been a customer since 2017 when we moved to St Charles. Always happy. Our dealer quoted me rotors and pads for $1,500 saying it had to be done tomorrow or I might drive off the road. Got second option for $975 at Mike More Miles and they said we need to take care of it in the next few months. read more

My car would not start. I was convinced the starter was dead, but later learned it's because I turn the wheel too hard when parking. In any case I stopped in at MMM and they correctly told me there was no problem with my starter and didn't charge me a thing after having a couple of their mechanics check it out. I've been taking my car here for oil changes and general check ups for about a year. They make it very easy to schedule whatever you need and no pressure to do things that you might not need. I feel like they are honest with diagnostics and recommendations. I also feel pricing is very fair. The waiting area has a heavy duty air filter machine and everything is covid safe. Awesome and honest service! Took two cars in for oil changes and mentioned that the brakes on one of them were grinding a bit. Ken and team performed a brake inspection and reported back that the brakes were fine and that it was probably just the salt/snow/slush buildup from the winter weather causing them to be a little noisy. I took my car into the shop for their 30,000 mileage maintenance package that they offer. It's listed on the board in the picture at the bottom ...it's partially obscured in the pic but it is their most expensive package ..$479. It's their most comprehensive package. Listed under the services included with this package is transmission fluid flush/replacement. My car has about 60k miles on it. They also said they would give it good overall check up to make sure everything looks good. When they were done and I was collecting receipt the service representative at front desk went over with me what they did. He said they changed all my fluids . I asked him "did you change my transmission fluid". He said "ummm .. no". I asked "why not?". He told me ..."because it's not due for that yet ". I asked him "when is it due?". He said after pause .."100k miles". All of this was said under a condescending tone . Like I'm an idiot and I should stop asking dumb questions . I asked him "what about the transfer case fluid ?". He said "that's for 4 wheel drive ." I said "but it's also for all wheel drive" . He said "it's not due for that ." I go home and I looked at my invoice again, and it said they changed transmission fluid . I called them and asked about it . He said he forgot to cross that off. I went to dealer a couple weeks later because I felt uncomfortable with my experience. The dealership showed me the manufacturer recommendation for maintenance is 42k for transmission fluid and transfer case fluid . They showed me the fluid for each of them and they were both black . In summary , MIKE charged me for something they did not do . It is clearly listed under the package on the board . They were disingenuous. And they didn't do complete car exam which they said they would do . My differential fluid was also black . read more

Today my sister and I were taking my disabled elderly mother to a doctors appointment when it was discovered that our wheelchair accessible van had a gas tank leak. I immediately took the van to Mike's More Miles on Lincoln Highway in St. Charles. Everyone should consider using Mike's for their mechanical needs. They are trustworthy and do a good job. The staff member working on the vehicle was professional and pleasant and helped us to get our car in quick. However; the store manager, Ken, was swearing and belittling another customer over the phone to another co-worker in an open customer seating area. Listening to that makes it that I would never return to this place. That was a conversation that should have been taken in a back room. It was very inappropriate and unprofessional business practice.
