Don't go here. A bout 50ish days ago I went here to replace my transmission in my Honda civic. They told me a used transmission would be 1900 and a new one would be 2500, so I went with the used transmission. They gave me a 60 day warranty and everything went great, the transmission ran great and they did an overall good job but we still had to replace the transmission mount since they did not. Anyways we had to go back 54 days later because the transmission started to leak transmission fluid and they told us they would fix it with the warranty. When I went to pick up the car after they "fixed" it I was treated rudely and with sarcasm all because I didn't respond to a question correctly. When I got the car back I found out they didn't fix shit even though they told me they did, the transmission is still leaking. Do not go hear and waste your time. read more

My FJ Cruiser has been in James and Eva's shop 2 times. Both times they had my vehicle for more than 2 weeks. The second time (differential work) I had to return it because they didn't fix it properly and it took another week. Recently, my car was having a SLIGHT vibration. James diagnosed it as a bad transmission, and told me I'd have to replace the entire trans. I got a second and a third opinion and both shops told me it was absolutely not the transmission and just a drive shaft problem, which I mentioned to James. I would absolutely not recommend taking your vehicle here. James and Eva are nice enough, but I just want an honest mechanic, and this is not the place for that. read more

I took my car here based on having used them years before. The shop has changed hands, and in the process the experience changed 180 degrees. Where before the previous owners stood behind their work for 3 yrs/36,000 miles, this time the guarantee was 12 months/12,000 miles. That should have been my first red flag; I paid to have my transmission rebuilt, which in the past meant the transmission was no longer an issue. The price I paid was $1800--and yet 3 years almost to the day it was back with a different transmission issue--and guess what? It was NOT covered by the warranty they gave me the first time. I didn't like it, but paid $1400 MORE to have this fixed--- and less than a week after I got it back the check engine light is on again, this time throwing a different code. I cannot afford any more thousand dollar plus repairs, and no longer have faith in this shop. I was willing to drive a long distance to take it there, and this last repair he had the car for 3 weeks! I am done going here, and suggest anyone considering them to look elsewhere. The special sauce that made them worth the trip is no longer there--and you can get their kind of service just about anywhere. read more

Update: It is now 2 years and about 50,000 miles later and our truck is still running and shifting beautifully.

Im very satisfied with the service provided by James and Eva and their crew. Service completed in time specified and it runs great now. I have a Buick Lucerne with 150000 miles and the transmission started to slip. Never had a transmission job done before but rebuild price was right and the car is in good shape, so it is worth it IMHO. I like supporting local business too. read more

This place is the best! I have a 1996 Trans Am that needed a new rear end. Sam was so professional. They managed to repair everything and it was half the cost I expected. Great warranty and Sam was so easy to deal with. I have had the car at another transmission shop in Geneva (names withheld) and was not happy and had a big bill plus had to take the car back three times to get it right. Really ! He isn't there to run the business ! Leaves it to his wife to try to figure out the problem but she is trying communicate to him through the phone and yet they can't even get it right three times around. Even with having my old parts to match ! We're just trying to order parts for my transmission! They seriously over charge for parts compared to other parts shops. The very best transmission shop in the area--the shop is clean enough to eat off the floor. This place is awesome. I took my F1 50 truck in for something I thought was a transmission problem. They did the diagnostic check and realized that it was a misfire issue which they don't handle however I asked if he knew someone and he said yes. Will take the time to explain it all to you, and even took me into his shop to show me the parts that normally fail.
