Food was a 10/10! We had to order our food to go because there wasn't any available seating. The sitting area is small and seating is minimal. Keep in mind it's a made to order restaurant so there is wait, but our food was definitely worth the wait. We ate in our car out front of the restaurant as we were only in town overnight and headed home. I had the French toast egg sandwich with turkey ham & provolone cheese and it was the perfect blend of sweetness and salty. Just delish!! My hubby had the omelet combo with fried potatoes and it was healthy size portions and he says it was seasoned to perfection! 4 stars b/c it would've been a better experience to be seated to enjoy our meal !

2 Meat Platter - Corned Beef Hash, Sausage, 2 Eggs, Home fries and Toast

7/8/24 We needed an inexpensive breakfast since we've spent way too much for breakfast in the resorts. So I googled and yelped somewhere close or on our way out of AC. We had to park in the strip malls parking lot and walk over. The area is a little sketchy, I would not want to walk through in the dark... We got to the restaurant and it really is a hole in the wall! There were several fans on high, no AC. We almost turned around and walked out, but we were hungry and it's just breakfast, it shouldn't take long. There are 4 two seater tables and 1 that can hold 3 but has supplies on it. There was just another couple there when we walked in. As we ordered and waited a party of 3 and 4 walked in and grabbed the other tables. Another party of 3 sat at the bigger table but walked out after a few mins. Too bad for them, they missed a good breakfast. 2 meat platter - Corned Beef Hash and Sausage with 2 Eggs, Home fries and Toast - corned beef was crispy, unlike other places that serve them soggy. Home fries were delicious, I usually never touch them, but these were so good. The 2 Eggs were nicely seasoned, you don't see that elsewhere. Shrimp and Grits were perfect - I honestly was not expecting fried shrimp but it works and was really good. The grits were perfect, not watery and not dry, also seasoned so I didn't have to fight with the bowl to flavor it lol Watermelon Lemonade - I like finding different flavors of soda/juice not usually found in north Jersey/NYC area hehehe Mike was nice a nice guy. Definitely give him a try, you won't regret it.

Was looking for a quick breakfast place while in Atlantic City. I can't say this place was quick - it took them 15 minutes to take our order and another 15 minutes before the food was served up - but the food was delicious. The store itself is a little confusing as it originally looks like a order at the counter and sit down type of restaurant, but they actually have full fledged table service. Yu pay at the counter either way. - Hungry Man Sampler - This was so much food and can comfortably feed two people. The home fries were quite good as it was flavorful and wasn't too dry. I appreciate that they put a lot of pepper over the eggs. I didn't really care for the bacon or turkey bacon as it wasn't as crispy as I would've hoped. - Biscuits & Gravy - Is this the best biscuits and gravy I've ever had? I think yes. The biscuit itself was light but also buttery and went very well with the gravy which was thick with chunks of meat inside. I feel like usually with this dish, it feels too heavy but this was actually surprisingly light and filling. I would just get this dish next time I come. Very solid place especially for biscuits and gravy, and will definitely come back earlier in the day when there are less people.

Sooo glad for Yelp assisting me with finding this gem of a place. I was looking for a local breakfast spot in the city to venture out into away from the Boardwalk for a little and came across Mikes. They have street parking and a couple small tables inside. What they don't have a shortage of is great prices and even better food. I went with the Famous Breakfast Bowl. It contained 2 eggs which I had scrambled, my choice of meat (sausage patties), homemade turkey sausage gravy and some home fries. This thing was a masterpiece all for $9, this place rocks!! The home fries were delicious and I can appreciate a good sausage gravy that was smothered underneath and was the star of the meal, kudos to them for using turkey sausage to make it healthier. I couldn't recommend this place enough, more people should know about it. They only have maybe 2 people that work there but the young lady was helpful and very friendly when I walked in and sat down, get you some Mikes!

Despite the long wait, the food is amazing and well seasoned! It's a plus that it's a black owned restaurant, I wish they had more seating.

I was in the area with some friends and decided to check this place out since it had pretty good reviews. At first glance the food looked pretty good! But honestly it wasn't the best. I thought I could play it safe with getting pancakes, but it didn't really taste like anything with a hint of meat? The pastrami sandwich was mid and the sauce was way too sweet. The breakfast bowl was super bland too. Maybe we just got the wrong things, but the server was really nice at least!

I found this one on Yelp too. I was looking for breakfast/brunch. Originally, I had planned to have a sit-down meal before going to Little Water for a distillery tour at 1pm but spent way more time than expected at the outlets lol. Everything in AC is pretty close in proximity so I was in the restaurant about 6 minutes after finding it on yelp. I had about an hour before I needed to be at Little Water which was only another 5-7 minutes away. I ordered a breakfast platter with eggs, sausage, potatoes, and toast as well as chicken and waffles. The service was kind but very slow especially for such a simple meal. At some point I thought I would miss the beginning of my distillery tour. All in it took about 40-45 minutes to get my food. I rushed over to the distillery and had about 10 minutes to have a taste. Everything was well seasoned and absolutely delicious! The chicken super crispy and had what I think was hot sauce in the batter which made an excellent compliment to the perfectly sweetened (not too much) waffle. Worth the wait and I would come back!

This is a family oriented business and you can tell they have regulars. The food is filling and the staff is friendly. It's inviting and gives you a home feeling. It's a laid back environment with delicious eats.

Incredible breakfast sandwich. Totally hit the spot and exactly what I was looking for. Small place and nothing fancy but we were in the mood for a delicious breakfast sandwich and it over delivered! He even pressed the bagel so it wasn't thick and annoying to eat like it would usually be which wasn't expected! In and out in just a few minutes with great prices. Definitely check it out if you're in AC and looking for a quick bite.

Ambiance: A place the locals eat. A deli or small dinner feel. I loved to watch the interaction with Mr. Mike and his regular customers. Food: the French toast was dry. I spit the greasy chicken out although the chicken did have good crisp. The potatoes was cold. The biscuit was a can biscuit!!! Take that off the menu. A can biscuit. The eggs and Turkey bacon was the only thing good. Service: the young lady at the counter with the locs was so very sweet, patient and knowledgeable. She was perfect.

The most flavored filled deliciousness of breading on shrimp I've ever tasted. The shrimp and grits were on point. Don't let the look or capacity of this place discourage you from grabbing a satisfying meal. There are three two person tables inside to eat in. Breakfast is a must. (This is the second place I would ever eat grits at)

Biscuits in Gravy. Absolutely delicious . Reminded me of my grandmother sausage and biscuits she used to make from South Carolina.

Went here today with my husband after reading the great reviews on the food last night. The reviews did not fail on this one. We had chicken & waffles, shrimp & grits and sausage biscuits. Everything was favorable and delicious The sausage biscuits are to die for. They reminded me of my grandmother sausage & biscuits from South Carolina. The waffles were crispy and soft. Chicken was seasoned to perfection. Absolutely delicious. The shrimp was seasoned the same. Great! Grits were made smooth and good. Will definitely be ordering anytime we visit. Great job! And many more blessings to this establishment.

Caesars Atlantic City felt deserted, and Tazza Cafe was the last light left burning. It sits in the lobby like an airport quick service stand that learned a few big words and decided it was sophisticated. The desserts and sandwiches on display looked wonderful, the kind of food you might photograph before reality sets in. The glass case promised a feast for the eyes and a famine for the soul. I ordered a meatball sandwich on toasted ciabatta, a small bag of chips, and a soda. The total was just shy of thirty dollars, which made me nostalgic for a time when that kind of money could buy you hope. The meatballs were dense and flavorless, like someone had wrung all the joy out of them. The sauce was red and nothing more. The bread was there, technically, but it felt like a prop. Each bite filled me up while emptying something else inside me. The two employees behind the counter seemed deeply committed to doing as little as possible. Taking my order was an inconvenience. Serving it was a punishment. They moved with the urgency of people who had already decided that nothing really matters, and perhaps they were right. Tazza Cafe might be fine for a coffee or a pastry. The coffee smelled decent, even at 6 PM. The cakes and pastries looked lovely and harmless. But for anything more substantial, for anything meant to feel like dinner, it is a place best remembered as the only option when there are no options left.

I found this place and tried to make a reservation. It did take awhile to get through, I think they answered when I called like 10 or 11:00 on a Monday morning. I was happy I got a decent time though, I asked for 7:30 and they gave me 8:00. Once we got to AC I found out they had fireworks at 9:00. So I was like I don't know what to do. Cause I love fireworks I always try to see them when I can . But I didn't want to give up my reservation either , I was looking forward to it. So I tried calling every 5 minutes trying to get through to see if i could get an earlier reservation, even if we have to eat at like 4:30. I couldn't ready anyone though. So we were plotting what we were going to do, maybe tell them we wanted to eat fast, get our food to go? I was going to run out the back and try to catch them. I said let's just go to the restaurant earlier and try to get a table. We explained when we got there and they were packed , but they were very accommodating and gave us a table right by the window. I was happy that now we could relax and enjoy our meal and get drinks and an appetizer. We got the meatball appetizer because my husband always likes to get that. It was very good , prob one of the best meatballs I have ever had. I got the seafood pasta which was delicious. great flavor , the seafood was cooked perfectly, and a generous amount too. I was stuffed but ate everything. my husband got the veal rollatini which he really enjoyed also. The cocktails were great as well. We got dessert Togo because we were stuffed but really wanted it. The chocolate chip cheesecake was delicious. I think we got the tiramisu too which was ok but a little watery. I don't know if we'll be back in AC anytime soon, but if we do I would definitely want to come back!
