Partially eaten crab cake sandwich. Delicious
    Meredith I.

We stopped in at Sunny's to check it out and grab some lunch . Sunny's is indeed sunny- a bright open space- very nice spot for breakfast or lunch. We started with cocktails- I had a delicious espresso martini. Husband had an aperol sprritx type cocktail-a royal spritz that was light and delicious. Our server Scarlet was very efficient and warm. I ordered the crab cake sandwich- it was delicious- on of the best crab cakes I've had in recent memory. It came with crinkle cut fries that were perfect! Husband got the lobster roll- it was full of lobster- he said it was great. I would definitely go again.

I came here for brunch, as our first stop of the day in Atlantic City. We'd heard great things, but honestly, it was a bit underwhelming. The appetizers were definitely the highlight--we got the monkey bread and baked mac and cheese, and both were delicious. For mains, my husband had a lobster roll, but the lobster meat was under-seasoned and the bread was a little skim. I got the Swiss and mushroom omelet, which was solid--nothing extraordinary, but good for an omelet. Our waitress was really sweet, though it was very busy and sometimes hard to catch her. Overall, I'm glad we tried it since it's well-known, but I'm not sure I'd go back.

We came her for breakfast and had a lovely time. Our server was super friendly, but we did wait a bit for the food. The restaurant was very open and bright. I got the avocado lettuce and tomato sandwich with an egg. It's was okay. I felt like the main flavor was tomato somehow. My partner got an omelette which looked amazing, and he said was delicious! We shared an order of the monkey bread which was tasty but it made me superrrr thirsty. It is a nice spot to get breakfast if you're staying at the Ocean.

Here's the Scoop! Sunny's is one of the new breakfast/lunch restaurants I side of the Ocean Resort & Casino in Atlantic City. It's advertising is that it's comfort food. I had the Denver Omelette with potatoes and English muffins. Very tasty, My honey had the oatmeal and the Denver Omelette as well. I ordered Monkey bread to go. It was so light, hot and delicious with a dipping sauce. The ambiance is bright and cheery. The service is friendly and very quick, the seating can accommodate large families too. Comfortable seating arrangements. Space utilized well. We will definitely will visit again when we return to the Ocean.

Weekends are for #Brunch and we had an excellent one at Sunny's by Steven Star at the Ocean Casino Resort. Eggs Benedict are by far one of my favorite breakfasts to order when I go out. My Aunt loved the Grand Slam McMuffin. We also got the Nutella Buttermilk Pancakes, Avocado Toast, Crispy Potatoes, a side of and Mac and Cheese for the win. The service was excellent and the restaurant was spacious, accommodating, and had a fun vibe. Looking forward to our next visit. BTW our server Titus was excellent, and went out of his way to ensure we had a great visit, we requested him the next day of our visit too.

Sunny's recently opened it's doors at Ocean. The food is fresh, flavorful & reasonably priced. Service is top notch as Titus our server was Awesome and pulled double duty serving as our photographer as well. :) The fresh ingredients shine in every dish. One particular dish that is a standout is the chicken tenders. They are delicate with a light golden crust which let's the juicy, tender chicken shine . The trio of dipping sauces, especially the comeback sauce, is amazing! Sunny's offers a casual Americana dining experience with a family-friendly space ideal for breakfast and lunch. Sunny's proves casino dining doesn't need to break the bank. Like I said earlier, with its emphasis on fresh ingredients and thoughtful execution. Sunny brings a smile to everybody's faces. We look forward to coming back here real soon. 411 side note: * There are 2 gender neutral bathrooms located by the entrance. * The main seating area is located by the elevator banks, so the noise can get a little loud if you're seated close over there. * They are only opened from Thursday-Monday 8am to 2pm. Closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.

We stayed at a different hotel nearby and wanted to walk the boardwalk to see what else may be nearby. This is located in Ocean Casino Resort. This hotel was WAY less smokey than the one we stayed at which made the actual experience of eating breakfast pretty enjoyable. We all got two eggs any style, I had mine with turkey sausage which was excellent. It was really good and the toast was perfect. Our waiter was super quick and the food didn't take long either. It was fairly busy when we ate there, but it didn't feel crowded. It was actually very calm compared to the casino atmosphere surrounding the boardwalk casinos. I would love to go back and try more items on the menu!

After spending a Friday evening at Ocean, my bf and I decided to checkout Sunny's for brunch at 10:45. We were notified there was a 20 minute wait and I gave my phone number so they could text me when our table was ready. We went outside since it was a gorgeous morning. By 11:20 I noticed no one was waiting inside and new folks were arriving and being sat, so I inquired about our table and we were sat immediately. Not sure what happened at the host station, but our server came over right away and we placed our drink and breakfast order. We started with the monkey bread appetizer. It arrived so fast with a side of glaze which we poured all over the top rather than use as a dip. The monkey bread was hot and fresh and melt in your mouth delicious. For our entrees, I got the eggs Benedict and my bf got the Denver omelette. Both came with crispy, delicious breakfast potatoes. My eggs Benedict was a little salty, but overall perfection. I don't typically like my when my poached eggs are super runny, but I didn't articulate this because I will eat it regardless. The eggs were poached medium well and I LOVED their consistency. While I didn't try the Denver omelette, my bf said it was the best omelette he ever had. Our server was very pleasant and friendly. I would 100% visit Sunny's on my next ocean visit.

Just look at my photo of the omelet. Does it look appetizing? It tastes as good as it looks. I don't know why Ocean can't get their food places right. Avocado toast was blend. Only thing good was my 2 eggs over easy and sausages. I guess hard to mess up fried eggs. If not, it would have been 1 star.

Sunny's was perfect to grab lunch while working at the hotel room. The lobster roll was amazing and we substituted the fries for crispy potatoes. Large portion, too!

This was my second visit to the restaurant. The first time, I didn't enjoy the service--the waitress seemed annoyed every time she came to our table. Thankfully, she wasn't our server on this visit. Our waiter, T, was excellent--friendly, attentive, and very helpful. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. The restaurant is nicely decorated and a great spot for large groups.

Had the Eggs Benedict, which was overpriced and underwhelming. Service was good and the atmosphere is nice. The big downside is a breakfast for three was almost $90. Absolutely crazy.

He made it very clear that the restrooms were for paying customers only. I firmly replied, "I plan to dine in, but need to use the restroom first. Is that a problem?" He didn't seem too happy with that response and walked away. As intended, I sat at the bar and ordered wings and truffle fries. The food wasn't particularly memorable, but the wings were a decent size. The truffle fries were fine, but nothing that stood out. Antonio clocked in about halfway through my meal and was a breath of fresh air. He was friendly, attentive, and completely changed the tone of the experience. Overall, it was a good visit with decent food and great service from Antonio. Unfortunately, my first interaction with Domingo left a poor impression and took away from what otherwise would have been a positive experience.

There are fun decorations, strands of lights, Home Alone 2 playing on the televisions, and much more to really get you in the holiday spirit. I most recently tried the Pomegranate Margarita on their seasonal menu and thought it was excellent; it was not too sweet or too weak. They also have a great $25 dinner special on the weekends, however we weren't looking to eat that heavy. But the live music on weekends at 7pm brought me in without the specials. We started with a down East blackberry cider $8, and a wanderback Hugo pilsner $7. We took our time sipping slowly while the band's set up and began to play. I think our server was more eager for us to make a food order than we were to eat yet. But when we finally did order, we chose a Tennessee Avenue tycoon salad and the "Phish" grilled fish tacos on corn tortillas. The salad was fresh but ordinary, with grilled chicken, blue cheese, egg and bacon. Spouse opted for some sort of orange dressing instead of the normal avocado dressing, perhaps it was the same one I loved on the fish tacos, a chipotle aoli. The Phish tacos were on soft corn tortillas that needed more time on the flat grill with a little oil to crisp them up! The fish was nice and white with good sized pieces in each taco. The cabbage slaw inside was wet, mashed avocado and so was the aoli, so a little gloppy but good even if it fell apart. These tacos are normally served with a side of chips, so I asked what options I had besides potato. Our server happily volunteered a grilled vegetable side which I loved until I found out it was an $8 upcharge of which he didn't inform me when ordering. That's an extreme amount, for not advising the customer prior. We stayed for a second round, I had another blackberry cider because it was delicious. Spouse switched to the Blue Horizon Kolsch, but apparently it was high test because it was $10. It was a lovely evening but, room for improvement. The band was fantastic, played all our favorites and we stayed a lot longer as a result of the great weather and the lovely picnic tables in the "garden". I stopped in for dinner around 6:15 PM and, as always, the atmosphere was welcoming. There's indoor seating, a full bar, and a fantastic outdoor space complete with games, a fire pit, and one of the best music playlists in town--often accompanied by live entertainment. It's the kind of place where locals and visitors naturally mix together, creating a fun and friendly energy. One thing that always makes me smile is the sign when you walk in explaining that the bartenders and servers may be outside and asking guests to let them know they've arrived. Honestly, who could blame them? With the fresh salt air coming off the Atlantic Ocean and the outdoor atmosphere they've created, it's exactly where I'd want to be too. Tonight I ordered the crab cake platter, served with garlic French fries and coleslaw. The crab cakes were very good, packed with flavor, and the fries were crispy, garlicky, and absolutely delicious. A simple meal done right. Everything was fresh and appealing, I eat small portions so I took one crab cake and some fries home with me. I did ask about dessert, nothing was available, I don't do sweets frequently, I'm surprised they don't request Momma Chocolate, at Bar32 to make some extras for days they are closed. My server, Bella, was upbeat, bubbly, and attentive throughout the evening, adding to an already enjoyable experience. Parking is easy, with both free and paid options nearby, plus curbside access. Whether you're a local looking for a regular hangout or a visitor exploring beyond the casinos, Tennessee Avenue Beer Hall is well worth the short walk from the Boardwalk. Highly recommended for good food, cold drinks, great music, and some of the best local vibes in Atlantic City.
