3 eggs scrambled with Canadian bacon (normally 2 eggs but we asked for extra)

Came for a quick breakfast bite for the first time despite many borgata visits. 5* for the vibe 3* for food. Let's be honest guys - it's hotel food so it's pricey but pretty decent portion size. Think decent diner food quality. Fries were honestly probably the best. Eggs are definitely cooked all the way. They gave me a cappuccino 2x before my latte (no biggie other than my imminent caffeine crisis). Otherwise the service was ok (1 person for the space basically). The place is smallish but tropical rainforest kind of vibe really nicely done. Easy access to the indoor and outdoor MGM pools.

Came here around 11am on Saturday. When walking in, we weren't sure if we had to wait to be seated or find a table. Another couple walked by and told us we have to find a table. We sat down at a small two seater table in the front of the restaurant. The waitress was nice, however she seemed like the only person working. It took soooo long for a really simple lox Benedict and eggs to come out. About an hour and a half. She accidentally charged us for a second coffee. Took so long to get the bill too. The Prosecco was good, seems like that have good cocktails. The food was just ok though. Service could use more help and be faster for sure.

The only reason this is getting 3 stars is because of the ambiance & because the bartender resolved an issue I had otherwise it would've been 2 stars. I stay at Borgata all the time but never ventured into Sunroom until today. The ambiance is very relaxing as the room is literally a huge sunroom with lush plants, water and fire elements and has a chill vibe. It was morning so I decided to order the pressed egg and cheese sandwich that had Taylor Ham aka Pork Roll (depending on what part of Jersey you're from) on it and came w a side of hash browns. I was able to substitute fruit instead of the hash browns , but, crazy thing is the fruit never came despite the server telling me he was bringing it. The sandwich ... I am never one to complain about price, however, this was $16 and when I tell you that it was the most skimpy and sad sandwich I've ever seen in my life ... the bodega or deli or bagel shop would put this sandwich to shame and it would be $10 less. And to top it off the sandwich was somehow flavorless .... sigh I wouldn't come back for food but I would come back to try a cocktail as I sit back and relax,

Nice spot for a quiet breakfast while staying the the Borgata. Overall food and service were good. Had a nice spot to enjoy watching the waterfall and felt like in a tropical little island get away with the greenery all around. Variety of options to select from the menu. Had the American breakfast with tea. Cute little condiment jars. Must pay attention to their hours...esp if one looking for the cocktails from the bar.

A beautiful room located right off the pool in MGM Tower. It was relaxing to sit and have a cocktail after the beach. The service was excellent! The drink was made very well with balanced flavors. Happy. Hour is Friday-Monday 4-6 pm. I'll definitely be back!

The Pineapple Express was enough to bring me back a cpl of times. The food was ok, the tempura shrimp w/ the shishito peppers were very good, but the burger and hummus platter was nothing to write home about. I'd def return for the drinks and I would like to try the apple crisp so I'll prob be back there before the year's out.

Tranquility in the mess that is Borgata on the weekend! We popped in here at about 9 o'clock on Saturday night and the place was fairly empty. The bartender greeted us and invited us to sit anywhere. We decided to sit towards the back next to the fire place, which was nice. Comfy lounge chairs and small tables everywhere to just relax and enjoy a quiet drink. We ended up picking up two of their signature cocktails which were somewhat pricey but also very good and pretty strong. After reviewing GZ's menu, we worked up a hunger so we gave a few things a try. For an appetizer we went with the fresh tomato and mozzarella platter. It was $15 but it was a pretty decent size and the cheese was very delicious. For the main coarse we went with the cheese burger and the truffle fries. It was $21 for the two (which is a bit much) but I will tell you that the burger was out of this world. Cooked perfectly. Great cheese. Awesome bacon. Nice avocado spread. And the fries... Wow. I could have eaten a barrel of them. So good. Overall I like the vibe of the room and the service was fine. Despite the prices (Atlantic City is still a resort I guess) I would come back just for that burger and those fries.

Absurdly understaffed and slow. Cool spot for breakfast ruined by bad service. Ok to sit and talk but not eat.

Booths line the edges like polite sentries and the bar itself is lined with slot/video poker machines in case you feel like doubling your disappointment. I arrived with a party of four just 45 minutes before last call on a Tuesday. You would think that would be enough time for a few drinks and a few laughs. You would be wrong. There was a man in a suit behind the bar doing what I can only assume was performance art meant to mimic sabotage. There was a bar back who had the dazed expression of a man recently asked to name all the moons of Jupiter in alphabetical order. The bartender moved with the speed and confidence of a tortoise delivering bad news to a hungry bobcat. Service was a game of drink-by-drink roulette. He took our orders one at a time in the most literal sense. One person would speak. He would leave. He would return eventually with something resembling said dink. Another person would speak. He would leave again. Rinse. Repeat. We might have been speaking in code and he was off deciphering it at the opposite corner of the bar. The drinks were okay. Not good. Not bad. Okay. The menu was fun to look at though. They called them potions. In the VooDoo Lounge. How clever. It was the highlight of the visit and the only reason I gave them a second star. That and the fact that I did not actually die there. Oh and the prices. Nineteen dollars to sip Instragramable mediocrity from a glass shaped like regret.

The bar occasionally offers live music, but my favorite time to visit is during the holidays, when they turn it into a festive Christmas spot with holiday beverages. There are fun decorations, strands of lights, Home Alone 2 playing on the televisions, and much more to really get you in the holiday spirit. I most recently tried the Pomegranate Margarita on their seasonal menu and thought it was excellent; it was not too sweet or too weak. I should note that there are rarely servers in the lounge area, so you typically need to go up to the bar to place an order, which can disrupt the flow of fun you might be having. Overall, I think the 1927 Lounge is decent on a normal day, but much better when they have a themed takeover happening.
