    Build-your-own poke bowl
    William Z.

Spacious restaurant that seems to have a few dine in guests during the week, so it should be pretty easy to get a table. The food is pretty good, the portion size is suitable and the value is alright. The fish doesn't look the freshest, but I did see them slicing salmon to put back into the buckets so that's a good sign. Does the job for a quick and tasty meal, or takeout!

I tried a shushi burrito (crab) Unqiue food experience! Delicious food There is a huge list of menu to try Friendly staff Free parking I will definitely visit again!

Salmon poke bowl w/ unagi and house sauce

Best poke in the city I've come across. I've known about this place for years, made the mistake of not coming till now. Poke is fresh, salmon is great, the rice is vinegared - the poke gods have answered my prayers. The portion size is good, very filling, yet it doesn't feel heavy so a good lunch option in both summer and winter. They have online ordering which is convenient and price is very reasonable for poke. The sauce, which is the lifeline of each poke bowl, is fantastic here. I went with my standard unagi sauce + house sauce and it was sublime. I don't need to look further for another poke place in Mississauga. In addition to that, location is good, not too isolated, and perfect if you're going to Cineplex anyways. Also not too far from Heartland where there's much more to do. The staff are great and service is prompt.

The Sushi Burrito case was well designed and protects the burrito effectively.

Had takeout for its Rising Sun Sushi Burrito (Salmon) and Lobster Sushi Taco. The burrito was truly delicious and full of fresh fish. The stuffing paired well, and the rice proportion was just right. I was able to consume the burrito without it getting too messy. The name "Rising Sun" is a bit insensitive but I don't think it was intentional. But perhaps changing it to "Sun Rising" or "Sunrise" would solve the problem. I mean, I don't see how it resembles a sun anyway. The burrito was prepared fast, instagrammable, and serves perfectly for a quick lunch/dinner. Every bite was enjoyable and you won't get tired of the taste. The Lobster Taco, on the other hand, was lackluster. They put way too much sauce and too little meat. The sauce really kills the taste of the lobster "bits", and I don't feel like it's a good combination with taco tortilla. It was also messy afterwards as the sauce overflows when you try to eat it, hence they give you a fork. The price for the lobster taco was 5.5, and you'll need at least 2-3 to satisfy your cravings. I wouldn't want a second one though because it just doesn't taste good. Giving a 4 star because service was fast and the packaging for burrito was well designed. You will be able to move around without destroying the burrito shape. Do order the burrito, but not the taco. The ingredients was fresh, so I'll definitely try their Poke Bowl next time.

Daughter had been earmarked this place for her to try and we finally made it on a weekend lunch. Glad they make veggie and vegan options. They are well aware of the ingredients they offer and the staff were able to answer my questions appropriately. We ordered three Veggie Greens Burritos and two of them were vegan. The burritos were well stuffed with all the veggies - tomatoes, cabbage, lettuce, avocado, cucumber, mushrooms, edamame, carrots and perhaps the star of the burrito was the tofu. The Tofu was tofu skin type and perhaps what we get for tofu pockets. The tofu juicy and a bit sweet. Goes well with the rice and veggies and the dressing they suggested for vegans was Sesame Vinaigrette. I found later that they also have Wasabi Sesame which may have gone better. There is always next time!

I have been to Corner by Spoon and Fork a number of times. My first order ever was the the lobster sushi roll. I loved it! Corner features sushi delights by Mi'hito Sushi Laboratory. During a brief staycation last weekend, I did a search on Ritual. I saw Mi'hito Sushi Laboratory listed. I knew that I would be happy ordering food from here. I ordered my first poke bowl in my entire life. I have had sample poke bowls in the past, but I have never ordered and customized my very own bowl. I felt like a responsible adult when I did... haha! I went with the tuna poke bowl. It contained greens, cabbage, spring mix, avocado, cucumbers, edamame, shiitake mushrooms, cucumber dill, dry seaweed, and sesame seeds. Mi'hito is located where all the eateries are at Cineplex Courtney Park. I parked and walked over. I recommend parking in the lot where Denny's is. I walked in. I felt like they were expecting me. I said that I had a Ritual order and stated my name. Yep, it was waiting for me. It's nice inside. I can see myself grabbing a bite to eat after seeing a movie. I brought my food back to the hotel to chow down. My poke bowl was fabulous! All ingredients were so fresh. The tuna was perfect. I loved the veggies (shout out to the shiitake mushrooms), sauces (cucumber dill was amazing), flavours, ... it was an enjoyable eating experience. I am a huge fan. I hope to come back and give the tacos a try. They aren't available through Ritual, but they are at the eatery. One word: yum! (437)

    Pick you own poke bowl

We always get the pick your own poke bowls. My fave toppings: jalapeño, sweet tofu, soba noodles, shredded crab meat and of course, salmon! These are pretty big that I'm usually able to split it into two meals. This could just be me trying to have it twice in one day though...

Yum yum yum I got a build your own poké bowl the ingredients tasted fresh and the were generous with thier portions. The smoked salmon was so delicious and one of the toppings you can add is shredded crab with the amount of crab they gave it felt as if I received double meat portion. I would definitely go back if in the area it is slightly pricey but worth it

    Custom Salmon Poke Bowl

One of the best Salmon Poke bowls I have had! I have tried many in Toronto as well as California and this one truly was a party in my mouth. Some bowls are overloaded with rice and the toppings aren't as flavouful but this one was perfect! It didn't become soggy and I was able to eat half of it 3 hours later...love it! Looking forward to going back real soon!

I absolutely love this place! It's fast, affordable and delicious. My go to favourite is the salmon ahi poke bowl with spicy mayo and unagi sauce. I put all the toppings and mix it in together. On days I'm not too hungry, I do all spring salad and on days I want a bit more of a filling lunch then I would do mixed spring and brown rice. I also enjoy the salmon taco. It's warm, crunchy and delicious.

I had no idea this place existed and thanks to Yelp, I found what I'd be having for lunch today! I haven't had poke in a while and was super excited to find out there was a place close to work. I came in at around 12:30 and the place was full of people sitting and eating, as well as a small lineup placing orders. Their wall menu is quite large and even has pictures! I obviously went for the easy choice right at the top...salmon! It comes with arugula, corn, mango chunks, cabbage, seaweed, salsa and your choice of rice or noodles I believe. I opted for the brown rice and added (for free) ginger and sesame seeds. You also get to choose your dressing and I decided to try the house dressing - great choice. It has some sesame and soy flavours, which paired very nicely with the brown rice. I have to say that they were quite generous with their portions of protein. I had quite a bit of salmon, which was a great surprise given that many reviews I've read for other places have said this was a common flaw. One poke bowl definitely fills you up. The presentation is beautiful - just have a look at the pictures. So much so that my co-worker saw my bowl and went out to get herself lunch there as well. She got a burrito and said she really enjoyed it too. Definitely coming back.

This place is owned by the same people as those who own Spoon by Corner and Fork, and therefore, many of the poke bowls and burritos are the same. Again, I am slightly irritated by the name The Rising Sun, for reasons I have mentioned before (the connotation and relationship with imperial Japan during WWII). I strongly urge the owners to change the title and name, as this is still a very sensitive topic. I ordered a customized poke bowl this time, and my friend got a personalized burrito too. Compared to the standard items on the menu, the custom made items cost at least a $1 more. I got a salmon poke bowl with half base, kale, arugula, lychee, pickled cucumber (I was hoping for the Vietnamese type, but they ended up being the actual Japanese pickled type), shredded crab meat (LOL naive me was expecting real meat, and was therefore quite disappointed to find that it was the imitation stuff), and seaweed salad. For toppings, I got ginger (tasted slightly funny), tobiko (my complaint is that the portion was too small), green onion, and sesame seeds. For dressing, I got sesame vinaigrette and wasabi cucumber on the side. The vinaigrette was great! The poke bowl was a decent size, but I found their salmon to be not too fresh. The flavour was quite fishy, and I had to mask it with soy sauce and wasabi. Their packaged wasabi was very spicy and flavourful! My friend got the salmon burrito, with lettuce and spring mix, edamame, mango, shredded crab meat, and avocado (I wanted avocado, but it cost a $1 extra for poke bowls). For dressing, she got spicy mayo and teriyaki sauce, with fried onions, tempura bits, tobiko, etc. She loved the burrito, but mentioned that she wouldn't get the fried onion next time as the taste was quite overbearing. A good and filling meal, and can be made quite healthy if you make the right choices!

    Yum!

Found this little gem on Yelp :) Visited after work with one of my friends and we enjoyed the experience. Their fusion menu offers poke bowls, sushi burritos, sushi tacos and ready made sushi. I opted for the Rising Sun sushi burrito which consisted of salmon, lettuce, cabbage, avocado, tempura bits, tobiko, carrot, carb meat, green onions, spicy mayo dressing. Overall, the burrito was tasty. The ingredients tasted fresh and were prepared with care. Next time I would request no fish eggs (just my personal preference) and less spicy mayo (it was a little over-sauced for my liking). Be warned, the burrito gets pretty messy as you eat it so perhaps might not be the best menu pick for a first date :P Will return again soon to try a poke bowl! Tip : this place is a bit hard to find. My friend and I circled around a few times totally confused lol. Just park and walk towards Twin Fish Thai, Mi'hito is right across the way :)

The restaurant is of decent size, with some dine-in seating (about five tables for four and two tables for two). Seating is similar to the tables and chairs you'd find in a mall food court but I appreciate that it was pretty spacious between tables and didn't feel crowded. My family and I went around 6:30 pm and we were the only table dining in but there were about 3-4 takeout/Uber pickups while we were there. Service was friendly. We immediately got offered menus and green tea, where they came multiple times during our stay to refill. We ordered: 60 pcs assorted sushi and roll platter ($49.99), Philadelphia roll ($4.99), and spicy salmon roll ($5.99). Overall, very affordable, especially with the grand opening promotion. My family and I were stuffed and in agreement that we could have done with just the 60 pcs platter amongst the four of us. The quality was good, not above and beyond, but the ratio of filling-to-rice was quite good and rice was made well (not too wet and not too dry, meaning all sushi and rolls held their shape when handled). Freshness was there as well. The Philadelphia roll was really well made in terms of the ratio of all their fillings; but I felt the spicy salmon was lacking some spicy mayo for that heat. I'd have to say my favorites were the unakyu (sushi version with unagi), the yam roll (crunchy and had a delicious sweet sauce), and the Philadelphia roll. They were also decently generous with ginger and wasabi. Oh, almost forgot to mention that they start you with miso soup which is included with the meal. It didn't taste the most authentic and could have been more flavorful but I appreciated that it came out piping hot and had a good amount of seaweed and mini tofu inside. Washrooms were spacious and of average cleanliness. No automatic taps or paper towel dispensers though. The restaurant itself was kept clean and tidy. Their wall art is also really cute and fitting for the place. Tons of free parking in the plaza.

Big mistake. On Nov 25, 2025, I ordered the MC5 Maki Combo (24 pcs) -- California roll, dynamite roll, spicy salmon roll.
