I design custom suits for clients across the states and needed a tailor for a client in Minneapolis…read morefor an extremely tight turnaround (suit arrived to my client on 9/30 and she needed it for a wedding on 10/2). I had contacted Stitch Awesome when I found out how quickly the turnaround would be. They got back to me quickly with their estimated prices and a confirmation that the turnaround would be fine. I then spoke with them about how my clients are a part of the LGBTQ+ community and if they would be comfortable with that. The owner was extremely kind and was overjoyed to work my clients. My client picked up her suit yesterday and they did a fantastic job! They were swift, accurate, and professional. She felt comfortable being there. I'll definitely be sending future clients there! And in response to the previous yelp review on here: As a tailor myself, it's completely normal for a tailor to ask for a deposit if not payment in full. This is because way too many clients abandon their clothing (either forgetting about it or deciding it's not worth paying to pick them up) after work has been done. I have a whole rack of clothing to show that. It's pretty low to give a small business a 1 star review because of a standard practice you're ignorant of. Also, if you're still unsure about going to Stitch Awesome for your tailoring needs because of the lack of reviews on here, check out their Google reviews! They are absolutely glowing. It's what sold me.

I was delighted to see the pilgrams cleaners survived 2020. My family have been using this cleaners…read moresince I was a young child. As an adult I tried other cleaners, but always returned home to pilgrims. The Pilgrims never disappoints. Your clothes are done to your specifications and perfection. They are good at getting stains out and conducting alterations. If you are looking for a good reliable cleaners that have withstood the times, look no farther.

I brought in a formal floor length dress to be pressed from the waist down and to have the 13…read morepleats pressed as well. I was very specific. I even asked how they'd know not to mess with the top and how they'd know to press in the pleats. The person helping both then and when I returned for pick up were both nice. But the dress was supposed to be ready at 10am and I didn't get notification until well in the afternoon. What was a deal breaker was that - even after they'd counted the pleats to charge me extra - they'd not been pressed and I did not have time to wait as I was going out of town for a wedding. What I didn't like is that they seemed to kind of brush the whole topic off as if it wasn't a big deal. I had to ask about getting money off of the bill because of it and here it turned out that they actually did charge me for the plates but didn't even offer to take that money off. I had to ask about getting money off of the bill because of it and here it turned out that they actually did charge me for the plates but didn't even offer to take that money off. The last thing is that I had the dress on a special hanger that I knew it would stay on readily and not fall potentially on the ground or to the bottom of the dry cleaning bag or whatever - I asked the employee if I should just take it with me to assure that the dress gets put back on that hanger - and they said no to leave it with them and they'll make sure I get it because that will make it easier for them that it will not fall off the hanger. When I got the dress, it was on just a regular metal hanger that they taped the dress to and it very quickly fall off of the hanger in the car the floor as I was driving. And, again, this was a formal floor length dress and they brought it out without a dry cleaner bag on it and seemed surprised when I asked if they had something to put over it like that was an usual request. I'm not certain if your rates are within the average range of most dry cleaners but that was a lot of money to pay to not get what I asked for and to have it done kind of half arsed.
