Two 2 Meat Sampler w beans, Roasted Sweet Potatoes, vinegar slaw n cornbread - excellent!
    Daniel B.

I'm far from a BBQ Pit Master so pardon my lack of knowledge of the finer points of proper grilling and smoking meats. With that disclosure outta the way, I loved Mighty Quinn's brisket! Melt-in-your-mouth tender, flavorful, a nice portion and sides were great too! I've read reviews from some BBQ die hards on how Quinn's may have lost its way from its founding years by becoming more of a chain these days but, hey, that happens when you expand - you have to have a recipe that is more easily repeatable to ensure taste and quality consistency across all locations. Not an easy feat. To me - The food hits the spot! I also had the special "burnt ends" chunks of meat slathered in some tangy goodness - Tasted great! I had the burnt ends baked beans, the sweet potato and the cornbread - and washed it all down with a New Belgium Fat Tire IPA. Excellent! The restaurant is very casual - has sort of a Chipotle ordering system: choose between a bowl option, meat sampling (which is what I had) or sandwich options. You move on down the line and choose your sides and beverage. Efficient - it works well and the staff are great at explaining all the options at this Clifton location. Definitely in my rotation of choices going forward when we're in the mood for some 'Que !!

Pretty much what you would expect from an offshoot of the original Mighty Quinn's Barbeque in NYC. Located at The Promenade Shops At Clifton, this is a nice Mighty Quinn's Barbeque spot. It's a decent size, plenty of parking outside as part of the outlet mall and wasn't that busy on the Saturday afternoon that we dropped in. Unfortunately, not much about it screamed amazing, authentic barbeque food. The employees are mostly college kids, so you're not going to get a master / pro butcher preparing your BBQ food like at Franklin BBQ in Austin. In addition, whomever was prepping the meats at this franchise location was probably not a pit master like Hugh Mangum (aka the owner / pit master of Mighty Quinn's). As it is for any legitimate BBQ restaurant, you're going to have your selection of meats though - Brisket, Pulled Pork, Sausage, Ribs, Chicken - and variety of different sides. If you're feeling frisky and want to wet your beak with multiple meats, you can go for the 2 or 3 meat samplers. We ended up ordering the 3 Meat Sampler, where we got the Brisket (+$2), Pulled Pork and Sausage. Since there weren't really any other meats we wanted, we decided to go all in on the sides - Empanadas with Brisket, Burnt End Baked Beans, Roasted Sweet Potatoes, Brussels Sprouts, Broccoli Salad, Vinegar Slaw. And, of course, for the kids, we got the Kids Meal, which were Chicken Tenders with Mac and Cheese. Verdict? Well, I do admit the Brisket was decent. It was super fatty and I've definitely done a lot worse. The Sausage was OK and the Pulled Pork was expectedly dry. I won't comment on every single side, but they were all surprisingly pretty good. Not great, but decent, good. The food wasn't hot though. Maybe my expectations were a bit low knowing that this was just a franchise of Mighty Quinn's, but the meal was decent. We gave it a shot and knowing that it wasn't going to be the original, authentic BBQ food that you get when you're going to an original location of a restaurant, the food wasn't all that bad actually. Like I said, I've done worse when it comes to BBQ and the food here was more than edible and passable for OK BBQ food. After all, we're not in Texas, Kansas City or the Carolinas, so can't expect authenticity to be at an all-time high.

Here for a late lunch, early dinner the counter staff was very friendly and helpful. The place was clean not a big crowd but nice atmosphere. The food was delicious. I had the three piece meat platter ribs, chicken and sausage very good and mac & cheese, coleslaw and roasted brussels sprouts really enjoyable experience along with the great food they serve beer on draft and bottles. I will come back again. You should Give it a try. Please

"But guess what Guys ?!" I can spend this review talking about how good their brisket is. Orrr how the server always knows what I mean when I say I want "Fatty brisket" But this review is more about me eating bread pudding from a heat lamp setup and tbh I was skeptical because I've yet to encounter a bread pudding that I enjoyed. But I took my chances & guess what guys.... I like bread pudding

I happened to be in the area, and my husband was at home smoking up some baby back ribs. So I thought it would be a great idea to stop in for some sides to go with our dinner. I ordered the mac and cheese, for the princess, some baked beans, and coleslaw. I've heard rave reviews about the corn fritters so I grabbed some of them too. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. I'll definitely stop by again in the future!

Who doesn't love a good Brisket?? I don't eat Beef that often but out of the blue I might get a craving, and it's always either Brisket, Burger, or Oxtail Curry. Burgers and Oxtail are easy to get since there are plenty of good restaurants to choose from, and it's kind of difficult to mess it up anyways. But finding a place that serves good Brisket can be tricky, and anytime I order from a new place, I am always worried about getting disappointed. Thankfully, I was not disappointed this time. Brisket was cooked to perfection, and the flavor was also spot on. My only problem was that I had ordered only 1/2 lb. Would not make that mistake next time.

Mighty Quinn's does BBQ great. The pulled pork I had was tender and moist with just enough sauce. The burnt ends baked beans were delicious. Not overly sweet, substantial sized beans that weren't mushy and the nice taste of the burnt ends mixed in which were big enough to taste. Personally I am not a fan of pickled food other than pickles, but my girlfriend had all three - onions, hot peppers, and cucumbers - and liked them all very much. She also liked the coleslaw. She had the burnt ends and BBQ chipotle chicken both of which she liked very much. Good solid place to eat for the price.

If I make an order in advance is it going to be made the moment I order and reheated before I arrive to pick it up or will it be made around the time I'm supposed to pick it up?

I've seen a lot of bags hanging on the counter waiting to be picked up. They're usually pretty quick in there, I would order in person and know that it's fresh.

The presentation of the food was excellent as well with a smoke show. The food was incredible too. I followed the reviews and got the smoked chicken which was a great choice. We also got the ribs and brisket. I definitely liked the brisket more than the ribs in case you are looking to make a choice. I got their special fries and I absolutely loved them. They were so lemony and garlicky. They have sauces that they serve with the food and some that are on the table as well. I think the sauces are definitely necessary. The meat is delicious but mildly seasoned. I live a bit far and I loved the food so much that I got brisket and smoked chicken to go as well. The brisket makes such an amazing sandwich with some sriracha aioli and cheese. The service was excellent throughout. We were seated immediately and everything was taken care of efficiently.

We arrived on a Saturday the place was absolutely packed but we were seated within about 5 minutes. We were seated right near the smokers and it was so cool to watch them prepare each dish. The presentation here is phenomenal as is the quality of all the meat here. A fresh salad with oil was brought complimentary to the table and it was delicious. We ordered the Buffalo smoked chicken wings and Baba-Ghanoj for appetizers. The chicken wings were so tender that as you picked them up the meat literally fell off the bone! The sauce was subtle but had a nice Buffalo kick at the end. The baba-ghanoj was served cold and was perfect with a little sprinkle of salt. The fresh pitas paired perfectly with it. I'm glad I did my research on this spot as everyone recommended the fresh mint lemonade. Wow amazing and refreshing I love that it came out as a slushy like consistency. I could easily drink them all day and they're probably amazing to eat outside in the warmer months and enjoy. We each ordered the meat platters in 1lb portions which are served with fresh smoked rice that is so good and filling. I wanted the beef shank but sadly they were out and ordered the smoked beef short rib. They served everything on a platter for us which the presentation I must say is outstanding . My boyfriend ordered the smoked brisket and it was so tender and flavorful he kept saying "it's terrible you won't like it because he didn't want to share it at all LOL". We had no room for dessert but I cannot wait to return for our next dinner date night! I would definitely give it 4/5 stars. Nothing was terrible the only complaints I had is once we were seated and our order was taken our server asked if we want appetizers first which we said yes and everything came out at once. Which is fine not terrible just our table was packed and hard to eat. Additionally once our food came out it was hard to get anyone's attention for more drinks but it was no too much of an issue that it ruined the night as they were definitely way too busy and seemed to be short staffed. I definitely want to return and check out the rest of their menu. I highly recommend making the trip to Kanoon!

Paterson, NJ - like many patrons, my husband came across this place via their tantalizing Instagram…read moreposts and urged us to go. They were busy at dinner time on a Sunday night. As many reviewers mentioned, no one bothered to acknowledge us when we arrived, so I flagged down a waitress who said we could sit whenever we want. We chose to sit in the airier covered outdoor area (which isn't exposed to the elements so is perfectly temperate even in cold weather). There were no instructions on how to order either - this seems like a basic customer service fail: is it that hard to slap up signage explaining 1-2-3, or for someone (anyone!) to greet you and ask if this is your first time here and walk you through the process? Anyway, I'm glad I read the reviews and checked out what we wanted to order beforehand, and asked questions at the cashier. Sure, it's not that hard, but one really shouldn't have to actively track down multiple staff for directions on where to go or how to order at a restaurant. The deal is: decide which meat(s) you want from the poster (there is no menu), place your order (sold by the pound) with the cashier, pay, go to your table, and a server will bring the food to you when it's ready. The meat is (at current writing) $45/lb with unlimited sides and soft drinks. We ordered 1 lb each of beef brisket and lamb shank (1 lb = 2 shanks), which was the perfect amount of food for us 2 hungry adults, 2 teens of modest appetite, and a toddler of negligible appetite. The meat is simply seasoned (Arab bbq style) and came out lukewarm, but is off-the-bone tender and we enjoyed them with the variety of sauces. There are four types of sides: cucumber & tomato salad (good), spring mix, saffron rice (fine but my toddler loved this), and mashed potatoes (bland). It is a well-balanced meal, not too heavy. The chefs are friendly and we watched one film a demo almost certainly for social media. He even let us taste some of what he was seasoning, though there were no pyrotechnics as I had hoped from seeing some of the reels. The service wasn't bad - not terribly proactive but not non-existent either, and we always received what we requested. They could do better with customer guidance, but now that I know what's up I'd come back for the food and would like to try some other meats next time. Meat Moot has many franchises across the Middle East and Turkey, and NJ is one of only 3 locations in the US (the other 2 being in the Midwest). Street parking only.

The place was packed, and we were with a baby, but luckily got a table pretty quickly. The menu has great combo options where you can mix crab, shrimp, lobster, and more--all in one. TBH, that's the way to go instead of ordering everything separately. We ordered two Combo F along with shrimp fried rice and Cajun chicken fried rice. Combo F comes with Snow crab legs (1/2 lb), lobster tail, shrimp (1/2 lb), Potatoes (2 pc), Corn (1/2) Now comes the fun part... The seafood arrives in a plastic bag with your choice of sauce (Cajun, Garlic Butter, lemon pepper, Old Bay, Island style). They shake it all up, and then it's on you to dive in. You're given gloves, crackers, and tools to break open crab legs and lobster shells. Basically It's messy--but its beautiful mess ..lol I started off all proper with gloves and tools, but after some point, I ditched the gloves because it was just easier to enjoy the food that way. The Cajun sauce was absolutely delicious--rich, spicy, and full of flavor. I even ordered plain rice just to mix it with the leftover gravy... and wow, that was a amazing. Highly recommend trying that! Everything is essentially boiled seafood tossed in sauce, so don't expect anything grilled or crispy--it's all about the flavors and experience. The fried rice was tasty too, though the rice itself was a bit on the harder side. This isn't just a meal--it's an experience. Perfect for going out with friends, getting messy, and enjoying good seafood together.
