I don't write a ton of reviews but my recent experience was so wonderful I can't help but post. We…read morebecame a new customer of Star Petroleum about a year and a half ago when they came out to service our Propane tank. The service team was so nice and they are so conveniently located that we decided to switch over our oil to them as well. We've been very happy with no complaints. Recently, just days before our vacation out of the country (of course), our oil tank spouted a small leak. We called to ask if we could patch the tank until we returned from our trip. They came right out and attempted to help with a short term solution. Because the small hole was right on the seam, it was not able to be patched. The team was so considerate and concerned about us being able to enjoy our vacation that they went above and beyond to help put us at ease. They were able to create a temporary resolution until we returned home from vacation and had their team coming out while we were gone (with my sister-in-law house/dog sitting) to monitor the situation and keep the hot water going with a small supply of oil sourced outside of the tank that they continued to refill. Every single person that has come out has been extremely helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. Once we returned from our trip we found out that the annual service fee we pay (I think it is in the $60 / year range - very reasonable) also enrolls us into a program called "Tank Guard" which is like an insurance on your tank. With the replacement of our tank, this program covers up to $2,000 on the cost! It was truly the silver lining to an almost disastrous situation! Throughout this ordeal, I cannot speak highly enough on how considerate, accommodating, and supportive Star has been to us. Without their hard work to put us at ease, I don't think we would have even gone on or enjoyed our vacation but, because of the stellar team at Star, we enjoyed our trip and came home to good news about our oil tank replacement. Couldn't have picked a better oil supplier!! We are very, very happy customers!! Thank you guys for going above and beyond - it shows that you see your customers as people first and it makes all the difference!

My indirect fired water heater tank was leaking and needed to be replaced ASAP. The Sales Rep, Mark…read moreK. and the Sales Manager Stephen S. not only expedited the process but also provided favorable financing options and pricing. Time from the proposal to install was three days. Treated us like family. John (with 40 years of experience) and PJ, the installers were extremely knowledgeable, addressed any questions I had based on my engineering background and ensured a quality install was of utmost importance. During the installation John identified a failed boiler expansion tank. Rather than making a separate service call, Stephen requested them to travel to a distributor and purchase an expansion tank and install the expansion tank during the water heater tank install along with a relief valve. There is a reason why I have been with Devaney Energy for ~10 years. Thank you Stephen, Mark, John and PJ.

When I called the office, they told me the results had been ready since the previous day, but the technician never followed up. They emailed the report, which showed elevated mold levels in several rooms. I reached out to the technician, who apologized and said he had been busy. We scheduled a time for him to return the following Monday to inspect the affected areas and provide a remediation quote. He didn't show up. When I called, he said he had forgotten to notify the office about our appointment, so he wasn't reminded. We rescheduled for the next day, and he did come, identified the mold source, and sent a quote promptly. The quote, however, lacked detail, listed two different total prices, and didn't clearly explain the scope of work. After discussing it, he agreed to revise the pricing and add the missing details. The updated quote arrived, but nothing had been corrected. When I contacted him again, he said they had accidentally sent the old version and would revise it, but they were "swamped." I never heard back. I then contacted All Dry Services of South Shore & Cape Cod. They inspected the property, provided an extremely detailed quote, and completed the remediation today. Their team was professional, thorough, and personable. The work was done cleanly, and the area was left properly sealed with negative air pressure. I feel confident the mold issue has been resolved. I have air-quality testing scheduled for tomorrow, and if anything shows up, they will return--but based on the quality of their work, I doubt that will be necessary.
