This is my second attempt to post a negative review against this outfit. Within 16 hours - HOURS- of posting my first negative review, Super Dry had peeped into my history and pawed through my reviews and complained to Yelp Headquarters that the review was somehow unfair to THEM. Never mind about their creepy intrusion or intimidation of a customer. I engaged with Super Dry to mediate water damage. Two clean-cut, well spoken, well-dressed guys showed up. Within minutes they had handed me iPads asking me to sign, while distracting me with a lot of chatter and conversation. They claimed they would send me a copy of what I was signing. They didn't. In fact buried in all the irrelevant paperwork is a limited power of attorney, which they will send to your insurance company to go around you for payment. (Ask your insurance company for copies of everything submitted to them. ) The next morning, they sent two young guys to my house without notifying me whatsoever. Believing the positive reviews, I gave them limited permission to proceed in a limited way. Fortunately for me, I did nail down a price in advance. Do that!! Long story short, they did work that was not necessary. Their work was sloppy and they failed to mitigate the damage. I fully expect my hardwood floor to buckle a year from now. That is what I've been told to expect because they did not do anything to treat the hardwood floors even though they billed the insurance company for it. More than that, they did more damage than they resolved. They used my signature on that iPad to submit claims to the insurance company that were grossly inflated and highly falsified. The insurance company agreed that it was insurance fraud. The insurance company refused to cut them a check. The insurance company told me that Super Dry is one of the most aggressive water mitigation contractors out there and that they are harassed by Super Dry. (This is also supported by Super Dry's very aggressive trolling of their reviewers.) Most customers don't compare the insurance claims with what was actually done in their house. Most people don't take notes, pictures and keep journals of the work that was done. Most people don't have easy access to contractors, or lawyers or architects so they never even know that they've been USED to rip off an insurance company. If you hire these people, do not agree to let them file with your insurance company. Get a price upfront. Price should not depend on who is paying. Take a photograph of every single thing, every single day. That way when they claim to have used four units when they only used one, or they claim to have used a piece of machinery that was never used, you can prove it. Keep a log of exactly who comes into your house- how many people, their name and how long they stay there. Be sure to keep your ring.com footage and turn on your house cameras. Make sure your insurance adjuster comes out BEFORE Super Dry gets there. Do not go with their buddy restoration contractors. Mission Restoration and Super Dry are in cahoots. They work together to inflate the bills. That's why Super Dry brings them out - uninvited - on that first meeting and that's why they both have iPads with contracts for you to sign. Super Dry does a lot of unnecessary tear out and then Mission Restoration swoops in and does the "fix." Mission Restoration wouldn't need to fix your walls if Super Dry didn't unnecessarily tear them out. A good water mitigation company will first do everything they can to dry out your walls without a full tear out. Tearing out the walls is what they should be trying to AVOID- unless they are just trying to run up the bill. Tear out should not be the first thing they do the next morning. I consulted both an architect and another contractor and was told that the tear out was not necessary. Even worse, the tear out was done wrong. It was not done stud to stud; and wet drywall was left in place even after the drying machines were removed. So then I had to hire another contractor to tear out wet drywall that could've been dried out had they done it immediately. There was no one there to monitor it. You will never see those two salesmen after you sign the contract. Keep notes. Keep a log. Take pictures. Take pictures of the people as they are doing the work. They will bill the insurance company for dust masks so take photographs to show the workers NOT using them. You're paying for that! They billed the insurance company for more people; more square footage; more equipment; more supplies; more procedures than they ever did or used. They billed for clean up that never happened; floor protection that never happened; cleaning that never happened. The whole invoice was fiction and fantasy. My advice is to hire a general contractor that your insurance company recommends. Or rent your own dehumidifier. This is not brain surgery!! read more

Imagine trying to leave for work and seeing water running out of your garage and upon inspection fear takes over you. Water, the walls... is that inside...great now I have to worry about mold! Yea, well that was me, awful. Got ahold of an awesome plumber (Andrew's Plumbing, I will be reviewing them later too) who put me in touch with Mighty Dry San Diego, and thank goodness. When you are overwhelmed, its a lot. First up was Vito, he came quickly and quickly assessed my situation. He helped me move a very heavy and priceless piece of furniture to ensure it didnt get damaged. He walked me through the process and assured me that remediation should be simple. That same day they got a dehumidifier set up and kept me in the loop every step. Then came the crew that led demolition, Giovanni, Jose, and Eliel. They were prompt, super courteous, also explained every step. They worked quickly and answered all my and my neighbors questions! I swear they were in and out and each time I came to check in another big thing was done- taping off a work space, ensuring my washer was moved but was still usable, cutting down of damaged drywall, demolition of a stand. It went seamless and I felt confident in the company even further. Vito called and texted to check in a few times, even when he was off to celebrate a loved ones wedding. He answered every repeat question and made himself very accessible. Giovanni called to set up a time to double check the remediation status and remove machines. While I had to be at work, he made sure I knew every step in the process and finalized everything with my mother in person and gave me a final recap over the phone. Mighty Dry has been great to work with. From being overwhelmed and not knowing what to do, to great customer service, I hope I never remediation services again, but if I do I know who to call and what team to request! This company is a joke. Our dishwasher leaked causing a huge flood under our kitchen cabinets. My landlord coordinated with Super Dry to come out to take care of the issue. They sent out their crew, led by project manager Art, and started the work same-day. I explained I was pregnant and allergic to mold so I was very concerned. They assured me they would take care of the issue. They left their fans at our home over the weekend and picked them up and inspected the area giving us the ok to start working with the reconstruction company. The insurance adjuster came out to our home a few days later and found ANOTHER 6 FEET of moist drywall next to what Super Dry had removed and now the drywall had black mold around it. How do you miss 6 FEET of wet drywall?! I was livid and the insurance adjuster said she had never seen neglect like that before. Super Dry was contacted and came out the following day to remove the drywall section they missed. They also removed our dishwasher and placed it in our garage and left fans for a few more days. When my husband came home after they left, he noticed a LIVE WIRE from the dishwasher laying on the floor where the dishwasher was. Not taped off, not out of the way - just laying on the floor completely exposed. I have a 3 year old in the house and it makes me sick to think what could have happened. I immediately called Art and asked if the dishwasher wire was live. He told me he couldn't say, he'd need a electrician to confirm (ya right! trying to cover his ***) and asked me to text him a picture. I waited an hour and called him twice, both times no answer. He finally sent me a text saying that he would send someone over to tape it off. I called him again, no answer. They sent someone out to tape it off a few hours later and the worker confirmed it was a live wire. This company operates by on doing things fast, not doing things right. I would NOT recommend them to anyone. Art was inconsiderate, rude, and unprofessional and didn't even apologize for both HUGE mistakes. Stay FAR FAR away from Super Dry. read more

I had a refrigerator supply-line leak resulting in significant water damage to my kitchen floor. My plumber recommended SuperDry San Diego Flood Restoration. The response was rapid--A SuperDry technician (Ryan) was at my residence within 2 hours. He walked me through the entire process and provided excellent information and guidance. He was patient and explained all my options. He assisted me in filing the claim with my insurance company. He set up a dehumidifier to start the process of drying the water. The next morning, he came back to my residence, to work with the insurance company field adjustor. He then made an appointment with an environmental testing company in order to assess the presence of lead and asbestos. He then arranged for another SuperDry technician (Rodolfo Medina) to come to my residence so that the additional equipment to dry up the water could be installed. Rodolfo was knowledgeable, patient and pleasant to work with. He was very polite and professional. He answered all my questions and explained everything that he was doing. Having a water leak is a very stressful and frustrating experience. Fortunately, companies like SuperDry San Diego are available to provide excellent help in cleaning up the mess and restoring the property. read more

They were a truly amazing team. I used them after one of my bathroom pipes sprung a leak and soaked the inner walls of the house and flooded the water heater closet. They were at my house so quick and started to take care of the issue without delay. After determining where the damage was, they began work right away and brought in the big fans to begin dry out the walls. Aside from that, they were very profession, calm, and patient with me as they had to explain everything several times. I was stressed and a mess as I had just moved into my home not even 2 weeks prior I don't know how I would done it if they had not helped guide me through the steps of contacting my insurance, a plumber, and construction company to fix my walls. What I also appreciated is the majority of the communication was done through text message or email, which made turn-around time, for questions and concerns, a lot easier and quicker. And I have to give special thanks to Alicia who was also amazingly patient with me while I struggled to work with my insurance company to get not only payment, but those darn endorsement signatures from my mortgage company! These guys were really great. We just moved in to our new home and the water heater had been leaking and damaged for MONTHS. It was concealed from our inspector and became an emergency basically the day we moved in. Brenton Todd and Yobani Resendiz were the team that helped us. They arrived just hours after the plumber left who removed the water heater.They were polite, called when they were on their way, explained everything they were doing to my house, and even came inside to double check the water had not spread to my guest bedroom. Guess what? It had! We never would have known if Yobani and Brenton had not come in and double checked the moisture. Even though it ended up with bigger holes in my walls than I had planned they were very reassuring, set up their equipment so that I could still lock my garage door, tidied up after themselves and made sure there was no mess for me to worry about. I really appreciate their work and will save their card for friends and family. Thanks for being great to work with, as we felt super betrayed by the previous home owners and inspectors. This is some of the best service we have ever received! We had a flood in our apartment this past week and Mighty Dry has been a lifesaver. We submitted a request for an evaluation on Saturday evening after hours, and within one hour the owner called us on his personal cell phone to help. They sent someone to take a look the next day, at no charge. Throughout the entire process they communicated with us, did everything in a very timely manner, had excellent customer service, and all the employees we worked with were phenomenal. Branden Garibay is the employee who came to our apartment last night to help out and he's been awesome! He drove over an hour last night to come help us out, and was so great the entire time he was here and communicating with us throughout the day! Within 30 minutes of leaving, he sent us an email with all the damages documented and a summary of what he had found. This morning he sent over an estimate for repairs and a recommendation for people in the area to do mold testing. We had a really rough week with the flood and how it was handled by our apartment, and Mighty Dry was such a breath of fresh air. I would recommend them to anyone with flooding issues :) read more

The recent heavy wind and rain from the category 5 storm "Lucifer" (that's what the news had it named) leaked into my condo and saturated parts of my wall. We needed professional help to fix the problem before it grew into a bigger issue that would cost more money to fix. I was recommended to call Super Dry by a past customer (friend of mine) who used them when her apartment was flooded. Gave them a call and explained to them the situation and in a couple of hours, they were able to send someone out to inspect the problem. Mike was able to write us up a quote of cost to fix the issue and we got it approved with our insurance adjustor. They set up some heavy duty equipment (fans and dehumidifiers) and came back later in the week to look at the progress. They had to cut out parts of the wall and dry the interior. The process took about a week (with drying and everything) before they came back to patch up the wall and take all their equipment. In the end, the issue was fixed and it was done in a simple and hassle free manner. They worked around our schedule and gave great customer service. Hopefully now, theres no more leaks in our house.... but if there is we know who to call. read more

I had put in a request for pricing and availability through yelp for an issue we had from an upstairs bathroom water leak that was seeping onto my kitchen ceiling causing some water damage. About 7 companies contacted me, but Mighty Dry was quick to respond to my request. I was able to get a same day consultation with Jose (project manager) . He was very well mannered and respectful of my home. He did take time to answer my many questions including cost to repair and timelines for the project to be completed. I was able to schedule for demolition the next morning and the demo team, Giovanni and Eliel, came on time. They did a great job explaining the process and also took pictures and videos of their work. They were very thorough from setting up their equipment, to answering all my questions and concerns, and cleaning up. I appreciate their work and communicating with Jose (PM) in regards of arranging a plumber to look into the bathroom water leak. Still yet to have the plumber come out, and the installation of the ceiling to be completed. But, I am gonna trust the process and standby by my rating and review because so far my experience with Mighty Dry has been positive. read more

Worked with Raudel and Nico from Mighty Dry and they are were absolutely fantastic. They did top tier work - we were very scared going into it, but they showed up early and it just got better from there!!! They were very careful with all of our things, they were EXTREMELY clean and kept us informed of what they were doing the entire time. Also, my wife and I both work from home and I have a very demanding job where I am speaking to large financial institutions ALL DAY LONG. I didn't even need to explain the situation to them. They were polite, courteous, and I would gladly use them again in a heartbeat. I almost forgot to mention, "Matt!" He was the project manager and he coordinated the large, multi-room rehabilitation. Again, he kept us informed every step of the way. He checked on us regularly to make sure everything was as good as possible. All in all, this was truly a give star experience from beginning to end. These deals are very stressful just by virtue of the circumstances. It really helps having a great team you can count on!!!
