Derrick helped me navigate a very challenging situation to rebuild the entire back wall of my home and attached deck due to water damage. Scope: New insulation, plywood sheathing, composite siding, soffit, and fascia for back wall. Replaced rim joist, headers, and other structural wood as needed from water damage. Re-installed windows and sliding glass door incorrectly installed by previous contractor. Rebuilt pressure treated wood deck with improved layout. Derrick's attention to detail and pride in his work translated to a solution that addressed all of my goals and helped me understand mistakes made by previous contractors. He spent hours reviewing options and brainstorming with me as more damage was uncovered and the scope had to expand as we went. Overall, could not be happier with my experience and would highly recommend.

Excellent Experience - Highly Recommend! As someone who knew…read moreabsolutely nothing about fencing before starting this project, I couldn't be happier with my decision to go with Americana Ironworks. Here's why they earned my enthusiastic recommendation: Fair and Competitive Pricing: I got quotes from several companies, and Americana's estimate was very reasonable - not the cheapest, but definitely fair for the quality they delivered. No hidden fees or surprise Top-Notch Installation Team: This is where they really shined. The crew that came out was professional, courteous, and detail-oriented. They actually LISTENED when I explained what I wanted, double-checked measurements, and even made helpful suggestions I hadn't considered. When I had a small concern about the gate alignment, they adjusted it on the spot without any fuss. If you're like me and feeling overwhelmed by fence options, contractors, and pricing, do yourself a favor and give Americana Iron works a call. They made the entire process painless and delivered exactly what they promised. Bottom line: Great value, excellent communication, and quality workmanship. What more could you ask for?

But estimate was wildly off on fence repairs and cost almost doubled once workmen arrived. Repair to iron railings was OK, but replaced 4 posts with shorter ones? To add insult to injury they double billed the final payment to my credit card and after several days of no contact after asking for a refund, I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company which is still ongoing.

The process was super smooth from start to finish. We met with Adam to discuss the project and he helped us collaborate a design that works perfect for our space. Their prices were extremely fair and the workmanship is top notch. He and his team are friendly and efficient. They finished the project in the specified time frame and left our rooftop looking like they were never there. I would definitely recommend them for any roofing or deck building needs.

Never again! In May 2025, I hired CRC to replace a detached garage roof. They were responsive and…read morecame out to quote the project, and I essentially went with a full replacement. My garage rooftop deck is finished with Trex decking so part of the agreement was to remove the decking and reinstall it - as is - post roof replacement. They came out on schedule and removed the Trex and replaced the floor boards where needed - per our agreement they were also suppose to replace the liner but they didn't. No big deal - they replaced half of it that was sitting over the damaged wooden floor boards. Once the roof was replaced, I pushed them to complete a water test - I basically brought a hose up there and ran water to see how it would drain. The drainage was ok not great as you could see small shallow pools of water. When asked, they said it how the roof pitch is setup - so fine we move on. Once the roof is done, they start to install the deck. About 80% of the way through, I happen to do a quick check and notice the deck is clicking. Apparently, they did not purchase enough Trex clips that secure the boards to the sub frame. So they agree to purchase more and install them. The right way to do this would be to remove the deck boards and start over but they removed a few boards and slid the clips in and drilled the screws down. Here is where it all went wrong. They screw heads started to chip and break the edges of the Trex decking. You think with the owner standing there he would have told them to stop but they kept going and ruined my Trex decking. Zero quality control or management from the owners who are there to push their crew to complete the job fast and move onto the next one. Not only did the ruin it, they installed the deck boards at an angle so the deck isn't even straight. They agreed to find a solution and come back to repair - and even took a small piece with them to match colors. Months go by and I keep hearing excuse after excuse. I sent multiple emails to the owner and exchanged texts (all of which I have in my records). All I received in return were promises to touch base and then once winter came, we decided to push the repairs to spring 2026. So May rolls around and I started corresponding with the owner (Adam) - who doesn't even care to respond but has his father (Richard) who is involved with the business return phone calls (have voicemails to back this up). He tells me that he will add me to his schdue on a Saturday / so Sat rolls around and I don't hear a word. I chase them and wait around all day. No show and no phone calls. I call them on the following Monday and ask them to fix this issue but no response. I sent them an email asking them to call to sort this out and no response. I would AVIOD them at all costs / they will damage your property and not resolve it. Seems like they will say anything to get the business. If you lucky enough where damage didn't occur then great. They also offer a warranty - given this experience, I don't expect them to honor it irrespective of I have it in a written document. Super disappointed. I was quite patient and understanding but they took advantage of my flexibility. Additionally, they will ask you to pay with Zelle / cash.

Electrician Leo Nunez did a fantastic job upgrading the situation at my condo - ran a new cable through to my kitchen so my toaster over could have its own dedicated outlet. He also hard-wired a new power strip in my office and another in my bedroom, replacing the tangled and unsightly mess of extension cords. Everything looks so much neater and organized. Scheduling was incredibly quick (they were able to get me in the very next day), and communication from the team was clear and proactive throughout the entire process. A special shoutout to Miguel, who handled the work -- he was fantastic. He arrived right on time, was extremely professional, kept the workspace clean, and clearly knew exactly what he was doing. This wasn't a simple install -- it required mounting hardware into a brick wall with proper anchors and sealing -- and Miguel executed it perfectly. The quality of the work is excellent, and everything feels solid and secure. You can tell they take pride in doing things the right way, not just the fast way. Also appreciated how organized the whole process was -- from quote to scheduling to final invoice, it all felt very well run. Value for money, this was worth it. Highly recommend Fix It People, and if you can, ask for Miguel! Will definitely use them again.
